Five people were killed today when a cargo jet crashed at Miami International Airport.

Just before 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, an Amazon cargo plane crashed, as it tried to land at the busy Florida airport. Miami-Dade Sheriff Rosie Quatera Stutz says it overran the runway. It came to rest at a field adjacent to the airport. At this time, we can confirm that we have at least five to six individuals.
And we have multiple individuals that were transported to local hospitals with unknown injuries. Video posted on social media shows the Boeing 767, with its tail over the airport's fence, and thick black smoke rising from the aircraft. Local officials said there was a fuel leak they were working to mitigate.
It's unclear so far what caused the crash, though the National Transportation Safety Board that says they're sending a team to the site and launching an investigation. The airport is open again, but passengers have been warned to expect long delays in cancellations. MAGA Inc made a $10 million ad by to support Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, who's running for Senate. Overall, Republican super PACs and campaign committees have much more money than their Democratic
counterparts, but in many cases, specific Republican candidates have raised less money than their Democratic opponents. That's true for Paxton, whose campaign cash is trailing the amount raised by his Democratic opponent, James Talleriko. Mar Eliason NPR News.
Triple A says the price of diesel hit a record today, and is now 589 a gallon nationally. That's up 29 cents in the last week. Diesel is the main fuel in trucking and freight rail in many companies are passing along the higher cost to consumers, many are also blaming the war against Iran for the higher price of fuel.
On ABC's this week, the Energy Secretary Chris Wright insisted the war against Iran is justified. "There may not be a nuclear agreement. It may be simply destroying their capabilities to do it." An agreement may await a next administration in Iran.

Ash from an erupting volcano in Indonesia has shut down six airports, canceling international and domestic flights, at least until Monday at noon local time. Nina Row reports that emergency officials are coordinating the response even as the eruption of the volcano continues. "The volcano has been firing thick ash into the atmosphere since late Friday.
While no casualties have been reported, the ash is blanketing the capital, Jarrata, and neighboring provinces. "Head of Indonesia's disaster management agency," Shuhar Yanval, says they are deploying aircraft to clear the air. "A authorities are carrying out weather modification operations," he says.
"If there is no cloud growth, they'll use a water-mesting method to break down dangerous ash particles." Officials have also begun distributing masks in our urging residents in affected areas to stay indoors. For NPR News, I'm Nina Row in Jakarta.
A man with multiple weapons lunged at the Democratic candidate for Governor-Oval Hayo today Dr. Amy Action, during a campaign event at a fair and can-field Ohio. Several people were injured when the suspect reportedly knocked them down to the ground. Action was not hurt.
Members have first security team intervened in the suspect.
His been arrested. Action was Ohio's health director under Republican Gewehr Mike Dewine, the wine issue to statement saying he was grateful she was not hurt and violence has no place in politics. Primary voters in New Hampshire Tuesday will select the Republican and Democratic candidates for the U.S. Senate in November.
