In Miami, Aaron road traffic on Labor Day Sunday was interrupted by an Amazon cargo plane
“crash that killed at least five people and left several more injured.”
Kvon Antonio Hadara has more from Miami. Prime Air Flight 7598 from San Juan, overshadowed runway at Miami International Airport and hit several vehicles on an Axis Road near the airport. Miami data officials confirmed at least five dead and five more were injured. Fire Chief Radio Dallas said rescue vehicles were on site within 30 seconds of the incident.
The airplane did strike a couple of vehicles that required a couple of victims that were actually trapped in the vehicles. So a complex extrication with our technical rescue teams started to occur. The airport has reopened after a ground stop, but operations will be affected at least all Monday. The FAA and NTSB are both conducting an investigation.

Tamra Keeth and PR News. There was renewed fighting in Iran this weekend with the U.S. destroying three Iranian ships the markets have reacted to the attacks with diesel prices hitting a record high. David Goldwind served as energy envoy during the Obama administration. He says higher diesel prices means a problem for the national economy.
You use diesel for transportation, 75% of transportation is diesel in the United States. So you're talking about trucks, you're talking about agricultural combines, you're talking about every package that Amazon delivers to your door, and all the food which shows up in your grocery store.
“So as the price of diesel goes up and jet fuel also for air travel, everything that gets”
moved around the country and virtually everything in agriculture costs more. Gas prices in the U.S. have also hit a record high for labor day weekend, averaging $4.14 a gallon. It's nearly a dollar more than last year. Stocks in South Korea and Taiwan started the week in a positive note Monday.

Spending on security at Synagogue's and other Jewish institutions has reached a record high that's according to a new study from the Jewish Federation of North America. MPR's Jason D'Aros says the data is being released as the high holy days begin later this week.
The report Jewish Group spent just over $1 billion on security in 2025.
That's up more than 33% from the previous year. The study finds that on average an individual Jewish institution now spends roughly $225,000 on security measures from guards and shadowproof glass to cameras and alarm systems. The Jewish Federation of North America says the increased spending is a measure of how much more dangerous life has become.
The most recent FBI statistics show that anti-Jewish incidents account for nearly two thirds of all religiously motivated hate crimes in the U.S. Jason D'Aros and PR news.
