These fees can be more than a thousand dollars due out of pocket at closing. They also go by different names, like admin fees or document storage fees. Hina Matlock is an Alabama real estate agent and has a different name for them. "I go and junk fees." She calls them junk because consumers are often already paying north of $10,000 in commission
agents, which should cover those expenses.

Matlock does not charge his fee, but they are becoming more common in home sales, according to the independent think tank, the consumer policy center. revoked.
While other lawsuits have also argued that federal officers are violating the first amendment
rights of observers, this due to alleged its due to a national policy and is a pattern happening all over. The federal agencies named in the complaint, the Department of Justice, the Department of Homeland Security, and the FBI, either declined NPR's request to comment or did not respond.
