The CEO of the AI company in Thropic says the artificial intelligence industry should slow
its fast-moving development, he says AI could be capable within six to 12 months of leading a swarm that could take over the entire internet. Darryl Amadez made his comets Saturday, and he's not alone. Open AI, CA, and CEO Sam Altman tells Fortune Magazine that a discussion is urgently needed on how best to keep AI safe.

But Reyn says it will not attend a meeting that Iran says will take place in Oman on Monday to discuss the straight-of-four moves. According to a statement posted online, the Bahraini Foreign Ministry said it will not participate in any meeting that Iran is involved in until the two countries have restored diplomatic relations. It said it communicated this to Oman, which is meant to host the meeting. Bahrain cited Iran's repeated attacks on its military installations and infrastructure.
Iran has responded to US strikes by targeting US assets in Gulf countries. On Friday, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said eight Persian Gulf countries will attend the meeting to discuss the straight of Hormuz, which Iran has blockaded since the war began in February. None of the other Persian Gulf countries so far have commented on the meeting.
