All right, you guys know how we roll, we start with the army. The night stalker Little Bird helicopter destroyed at Ford landing site in Iran. Images emerged showing a destroyed special operations MH6 Little Bird helicopter at an improvised Ford landing site inside Iran during operation epic fury. The loss occurred amid high risk operations supporting combat search and rescue efforts. This incident highlights the hazards faced by the United States Army Special Operations Aviation in a contested territory.
Yeah, it's always said to see a little bird not flying. Obviously the crews are right and everything like that. But man, if you haven't seen what a little bird can do with a 160th pilot behind it behind the stick, like you're missing out. These guys are the best helopilots in the world and the things that these little birds can do, whether they've got the platforms on there carrying people, or whether they've got the guns and rocket pods, it is impressive.
All right, move it on to the next. A soldier sentence for possessing child sex abuse material.
A United States Army soldier stationed in Alaska received a 32-year prison sentence for possessing more than 3000 images and videos of child sex abuse material. The individual used the online alias, "Grulish clown." What the freak? This case was prosecuted in federal court as part of a standard military justice process.
“Honestly, 32 years is not enough. Let's just go ahead and save the taxpayers money, save everybody else, a lot of money and heartache and just execute the dude.”
Put him in a wood shiver and let's move on about our day, this dude. And the fact that you just got the online alias username as "Grulish clown." WTF.
All right, move it on to the Navy, but unfortunately, Navy hasn't said anything. So we're just going to move on. Same with the Marine Corps, actually. They're public affairs offices haven't put anything out in the last two days. I guess they're letting the Army and the Air Force just take all the glory and the space force for Artemis and all that kind of stuff. So we'll move on to the Air Force before we do though. If you have been paying attention to this weekend's events and what started, what Thursday and Friday,
“you guys know that we focus on para-escue combat controls, special reconnaissance, tech pee, combat rescue officer, special tech officer, and tech pee officers, right?”
There are certain standards and requirements that we all train to. And if you are interested in becoming any of these jobs, any of these career fields, or you just want to better yourself, you can go over to operatortrainingsummit.com that is operatortrainingsummit.com, register for any of the events that we have coming up in 2026. We are adding events as required. So if the demand is there, we will add events. But we usually cap them at about 40 people. We can move beyond that, but we will cap them at 40, generally speaking.
This is one day of land-based events, like running, rucking, calisthenics, grass and gorilla drills, nutrition, mobility. And then we spend another day in the pool, 10 to 12 hours in the pool, working on your water confidence, so think,
Around proofing, buddy breathing, treading water underwater, so mask historic...
Air Force. United States special forces rescue second F-15-E crew member from Iran. The United States special operations forces, including elements of, I'm just going to say, the Army and the Navy and the Air Force special mission units,
“rescue the second crew member of the down-to-15-E pilot, well, not a pilot, weapon system operator. Inside Iran, excuse me, on the fifth of April, the weapon system system operator, sorry about that,”
who had evaded capture for over a day in mountainous terrain. I'm pretty sure I've never seen it with 7,000 feet, so all you Air Force do is that they're complaining about an extra half a mile on your Air Force PT test to take it to two miles, two miles total. I just do scaled after getting ejected, evaded, not just on the flat ground, but evaded. I think it was five plus miles, plus 7,000 feet of elevation. You need to get your mind right when you start complaining about doing Air Force PT and doing a test, this two miles, like it's disgusting that you are upset about that.
“Anyway, he was recovered, wounded, but stable, a central intelligence agency, deception campaign helped by time for the operation, both crew members are now safe.”
Actually, all the crew members are, so you had the F-15-E pilot in WISO that were shot up and ejected, and then you had the ATEM pilot that was able to limp back to somewhat friendly territory, and then he did a controlled bailout. He was recovered.
Then you also had the 60 that was hit pretty bad, was able to limp back, so I'm sure the injuries and everything will come out eventually, because I mean, this is a massive operation.
“This is evil hall 2.0, if you're not familiar with evil hall, check it out. It took place in Iran as well. It really was a successful failure, and it was the birthplace of special operations command and really joint special operations.”
So we look back on evil hall pretty fondly, and this is what an amazing operation. I just, it's mind blowing.
Kicking things up, or not kicking, he's continuing on with the space force. Space Force supports NASA Artemis 2 lunar mission, the United States Space Force, space launch Delta 45, at Patrick Space Force base provided range safety, weather monitoring, telemetry, and analysis, and emergency protocols for NASA's Artemis 2, crewed lunar fly by mission. Personnel ensures safe launch conditions and coordinated recovery support, and the assistance contributed to the successful execution of the historic mission.
Absolutely historic, we're going back to the moon. It is pretty funny when you hear some of the problems they've had with like the toilet freezing over, and so now they turn the Artemis towards the sun, the trying to heat it up, like, "Dude's are out there, problems solving, that's for sure." Because space is unforgiving. Next, space force budget would more than double under the proposed fiscal year 2027 plan. The proposed United States Space Force budget for fiscal year 2027 reaches $71 billion within the larger department of defense request.
The allocation includes more than $60 billion for procurement and research and development. This significant increase supports accelerated capability development of Anne integration.
Now, if you paid attention to any of the episodes that we've done, we had Lieutenant General Deptula on, and he was a great guest, very insightful, and he had mentioned that the space force is only 3% of the DOD's budget. This is FY 20, fiscal year 25, fiscal year 26, and such. This does not include the increase or the potential increase, but when you think about what the space force is able to do with only 3% of the budget, it's pretty wild and impressive.
If we are in a space race and we already know we are in a we acknowledge that...
Let's give them 5% of the DOD budget. It doesn't sound like that's some crazy ask, but again, what do I know? Maybe let's not make in tanks.
“Sorry, Army, let's stop making tanks. Since we know that we need 5th and 6th gen aircraft and we need upgraded navies, maybe we, we help out the space force a little bit.”
All right, move it on to the Coast Guard Coast Guard, rescues 5 from Grounded Fishing Vessel near Aleusian Islands. The United States Coast Guard rescued 5 crew members from the fishing vessel Ocean Bay, after it grounded and took on water near Oomnack Island in Alaska's Alluation Islands. I know I'm messing up those names. In MH60 J Hawk helicopter, air crew from Air Station Kodiak supported a good Samaritan vessel and cutter, hoisted the survivors with no injuries reported. The person now were transferred to emergency and medical services in Dutch Harbor.
Now, glad they got recovered. Good job, guys. Coast Guard responds to fishing boat capsized off North Carolina outer banks. One person died in three others were rescued after a fishing boat flipped in Oomnack Island. Inlet off North Carolina's outer banks, United States Coast Guard assets responded to the distress call and recovered the survivors from water. The incident underscores routine maritime search and rescue operations alongside the United States or along the United States coastline. That is it for the coasties. Nothing for the sectarian defense actually, which is surprising, but whatever, moving on to the President of the United States, President Trump unveils record $1.5 trillion defense budget request.
“President Donald Trump released a fiscal year 2027 defense budget request totaling $1.5 trillion, including a $1.15 trillion base and a $350 billion via reconciliation.”
The proposal features major increases in munitions, productions, shipbuilding and golden dome missile defense system while cutting non defense discretionary spending by 10% congress reacted with mixed responses with Republicans largely supported in Democrats critical of the scale of the offsets. I'll say I don't know when this was floated to Congress, when President Trump flew to this Congress, but if it was before this weekend's festivities, I get it like what I'm hoping, well, no, I don't really get it, but I could see why some people would scoff it, right, because it's a massive increase.
But after this weekend, now everybody sees what your money gets you, and man, a $1.5 trillion budget spending budget would be pretty incredible, and we could do some amazing things with that.
As long as you don't get, you know, private companies and contractors getting in the way and scamming the government out of funds, which, if you are familiar with that, and you know exactly what I'm talking about. I don't even need to mention names or anything like that of companies you know that the government is getting fleeced.
“All right, last thing, and it's operational stuff, Pentagon plans major boost in munitions mass production research.”
Oh, hell yeah, this is great news.
The Department of Defense research labs are expanding efforts to develop munitions that can be mass produced at scale.
The initiative is expected to receive billions in fiscal year, 2027 budget requests and additional funding in subsequent years. This focus aims to address the statement needs in high intensity operations, which if you're tracking that, that is a big deal. These munitions that we have are exquisite and they are very complicated and they take time to make because they're very technical and very complicated. And they're also very expensive. So if we can mass produce quickly and cheaply, that is what we want to do.
So this is a good thing. All right, that's it for today. Appreciate you guys being here. And if you're new here, man, love to have you. Appreciate you being here.
