Now, it's Red Eye Radio, Gary McNamara, and Eric Merley talk about everything from
politics to social issues and news of the day, whether you're up late or you're just starting your day, welcome to the show from the Relief Factor Studios. This is Red Eye Radio. All across America, we are Red Eye Radio, I'm Gary McNamara, Eric has some morning off, we'll see you back here Sunday night, Monday morning. Man, what a busy day yesterday, but you know it's a Friday, and
a Friday, you know, like all of us sort of like to mail it in, I don't want to have to work too hard.
Oh, I'm like Uncle Leo, I'm an old man, you know, it's tough doing the show.
As an old man, and it's overnight, I don't even start working until after midnight central time. And so I'll try a little bit today, but on some of the issues out there, I'm going to mail it in, it doesn't mean I'm not going to cover it, for example, we've covered in, in full, I think, the the Democrats opinion on voter ID that the public disagrees with by landslide numbers. And there are a couple of stories on voter ID today, but instead of me talking about it,
I am going to let Stephen a Smith do all the talking for me today on voter ID.
“Let me stay for the record, you should have a damn ID.”
I have no problem with the demand for an ID, the vote, you need to ID for everything else and to the progressive, let's shut the hell up. You got a man New York City that required to ID for you to shovel snow. You ain't in no position to be bitchin' about how he wants IDs and a GOP wants IDs for votes. Shut up! I don't believe I could do any better.
All right. Good morning. Well, when I woke up, I saw that President Trump said, nope, he's going to fund the TSA agents from funds that already exist in his department. You know, excuse me, in the executive branch that were allocated in the, uh, the big beautiful bill. And he said, because, you know, this is an emergency that's going on. And just to let you know what the emergency is, it's a red eye emergency.
Eric is out of town and needs to get back to the show on Sunday night Monday morning.
“When I made that clear to the White House, I think that's what put them over the top and they said,”
okay, Trump's going to put through this emergency executive order. And at least it will fund them until the Democrats get back, which will be what two weeks from Monday. They're off for two weeks. And the other point I brought up is I told the White House, uh, two weeks from today. I'll be on a plane to go see my dad for his 100th birthday. So that's an emergency that has to happen. And so the White House just said, okay, we're just
calling it a red eye emergency. We got to make sure that we take care of those guys. So that's what it's all about. There you go. What a deal is yesterday. Oh, and yeah, I think on any story today on voter ID, I will let Steven A Smith do the talking for us. All right, biggest question I've already received because I woke up at 10 o'clock and when I
woke up at 10 o'clock, so just a little over two hours goes when I woke up and I when I woke up, I saw I went, oh, oh, wow. And the first thing when I saw that the president was going to, you know, fund and said, you know, an emergency executive order because there's an emergency going on.
“The first thing that, and I think Eric does the same thing, okay, is it legal?”
You know, what is he actually doing? You know, there's there's two points to it. The legal point and the political point on it. And just like we've done on tariffs or any other executive order, whether it's tariffs, whether it's Biden with the, uh, with the, uh, the, uh, the college relief,
the college loan, uh, program. We've always looked and said, what does the constitution say about it?
What does the law say about it? What authority does a president have on a number of different issues
Because we've been talking about executive orders?
And I can't find an argument so far, a legal argument against it. There may be one out there
“I haven't seen it. And when looking at what the president is doing,”
he's not creating a new tax or excuse me. He's not taxing anybody. All right. That would be the concept with with tariffs as the Supreme Court said the president, you know, can't, you know, on the tariffs, you tax American companies. You can't do that. Only Congress can specifically say it. Uh, on the student loan program, uh, all that was money allocated and a program put together by Congress, a president just can't come in and say, no, you don't,
you have unlimited time, not to pay your college student loan. Can't do that. The law doesn't allow you to do that. Here, though, there's no new tax being created. There's no new program
“being created. You can look back to the wall, you know, the, when the president is first term.”
And, and all the courts said, you know, it had initially ruled against him on that and said, no, you can't take money and put it to a program that doesn't exist, you know, that hasn't been allocated by Congress. Here, though, everything, everything has been allocated by Congress. The creation of the TSA, the creation of Homeland Security all created by Congress. The big, beautiful bill provided funds for ICE for the future through 2029.
So the, the president here is not even taking money, he's, he's, he's not for example saying, we're going to fund TSA, but we're going to take the money out of ICE for example and lay off
“people from ICE. He's not doing that. He's not doing that. He's simply saying, future money”
that has already been allocated, but not being used now is what's going to use to fund it. And the emergency is self-evident. What's going on at the airports? What he has already had to do, you know, moving ICE over, which he had, you know, he, nobody challenged him on that and said, he could not do that. And so I don't see an argument against it. Now again, I've only been up for two hours and 13 minutes. There may be a legal argument that I haven't
thought of yet, but I don't know of one. And I don't see yet any Democrat coming up with a legal argument against it. In fact, what you see from the Democrats, and this would be getting into the political part of it is, well, if Trump could have done it, why didn't he do it from the very
beginning? Well, that's easily explained because until they missed the first paycheck,
there was no emergency. The emergency came when the lines came, which is just the past week, and he was hoping the Congress does their job and funds departments that they created. And so they have the political argument, the president, if he communicates it correctly, he's got the slam dunk argument against any Democrat out there, where there was an emergency day one. And there was an emergency. The emergency didn't even, it wasn't even starting until
the first paycheck and then the second paycheck. And then it got to this point now. And yeah,
it was contemplating it, but not that they're taking off for two weeks. Any emergency that happens, they're not going to be in session. They can't do anything about it. And so when you look at, you look at this, you say, well, politically and legally, politically, it's a winner for the for the president. Because if again, if he explains it correctly, which so far he has, and he continues to do it, and the White House continues to explain
it as we just did there, you win it with the public. Look, the Democrats, you know, aren't going to fund it. They decide Congress is now going to be off for two weeks. If something happens,
Congress isn't here to take care of it.
anything, I'm the executive branch. I have authority over the Department of Transportation,
“the Department of Homeland Security. There's an emergency in a crisis created by the Democrats in”
Congress. This is how he would sell it. It in Congress, and I'm making sure that America is protected. Well, you win that from what I can see politically, you can win it. It's a slam dunk win there, because there's a Democrat going to come out and say, no, no, we're not going to fund it. No. And I haven't seen any. I did see, oh, I can't think of her. Oh, just see here quickly. I
think I saved it somewhere here. Oh, it was a centered duck or Tammy Duckwork of Illinois.
I saw her being interviewed, and she just said, well, why did he do it from the beginning? She didn't
“say he doesn't have the constitutional right to do that. And so it seems like most Democrats,”
and what I've seen on social media from the liberal activists is why did he do it from the very beginning, which is the only fall back that they would have as an argument. And Trump can simply respond because it wasn't an emergency day. One, it wasn't an emergency, and still they've started missing their paychecks, and it didn't become a real emergency, till Congress now is leaving for two weeks. And if something happens, if the blank hits the fan,
Congress won't be in session. So I have to take the leadership role here and do what's
“needed to do to protect the American people because the Democrats obviously will not. And I think that's a winner.”
And on the legal front, I go to constitutional front. And again, it's analyzing this just the last two hours. I don't see. I don't know of a legal argument against what the president is doing in this situation unless there is a specific law that nobody has brought up yet that I have not yet seen that specifically says in a particular department, you cannot take future funds that have been allocated in an emergency and transfer it in the same department to another portion
of that department because it's all part of HHS. And so I don't think I've never heard of a
law like that. But again, just covering my bases because this issue is so new. But I don't see politically the White House come in this big time. Legally, I don't see anything. I don't see anything or no of anything where you could have a successful lawsuit. If this got up to the Supreme Court, you know, very quickly, if somebody files suit and I haven't seen anybody yet say that they're going to file suit, they might. But I just don't know where you go with it because the emergency
is self-evident. It's TSA at the airports. It's about security. It's about airline security. It's about post 9/11. And it also is about a huge industry of airports and air transportation across the country and Congress is out of session. I mean, to me, that's the slam dunk of the emergency. They're gone. If something happens, they can't do anything about it. So I have to. And the Constitution gives me that authority because they won't fund what they created
and now they leave town and they're not funded. I've got to make sure that I protect the United States of America. Politically, you win that and I don't, again, I don't see a week spot legally in it. It might exist. I might be missing something here. I don't believe I am. But again, it's just so new that I haven't been able to do the normal research on on this topic because I would something where I might have a day or two to look at it. But yeah,
politically, he wins big time on this. We are Red Eye Radio brought to you by Hot Shot

for a roadside inspection. This means drivers should always have their personal vehicle and
company credentials organized and ready. The top two violations written against drivers every year are log general form and manner and log not current. Both are completely avoidable if the driver keeps the log accurate, compliant and current at all times. Having the vehicle ready for inspection involves the driver conducting daily inspections and making sure any problems that are discovered are immediately corrected. Vehicle readiness also requires the company to make sure that
the vehicle is current on all scheduled maintenance and that the maintenance schedule is adequate.
This will make sure the driver is being given a sound vehicle to start with. This tip was brought to you by JJ Keller and Associates. Visit us at JJ Keller.com. Birmingham, more with Gary McNamara and Eric Hartley, it's Red Eye Radio. We are Red Eye Radio. He is our curly. I'm Gary McNamara, Eric has the morning off. Oh, the latest story on a voter ID. Oh, wait a minute. That's right. I'm not going to talk about
“that today. Let me stay for the record. You should have a damn ID. I have no problem with the demand”
for an ID. The vote. You need to ID for everything else and to the progressive less shut the hell up. You got a man New York City that required two ID for you to shovel snow. You in an opposition to be bitching about how he wants IDs and a GOP wants IDs for votes shut up. You know, I I may play that like a music station keeps playing the same song over and over again to get sick of it just because I get the biggest kick out of it. But it's true. It's it's all true.
I never thought I never thought I'd be on a radio talk show saying, look, I've said everything
“about this particular topic. Let's Steven A Smith say what I believe anyway. I never thought”
that was going to happen. So yeah, on the again, getting back. Actually, nothing more to say about voter ID. I just want to keep playing that audio cut over and over again. You make it sick of it by the end of the show. But with a Trump funding or, you know, putting it off the executive order, we don't know when the funding actually starts or I don't know if the executive order has actually been signed or or not at this particular moment or whether he plans on signing it tomorrow.
And I know that the, was that the problem solvers in Congress were trying to come up with some
“solution. And I had seen a little bit on that, but they were actually looking at which was I believe”
that funding would go to TSA. They would fund, well, the funding would be brought back to DHS. The funding would be there for ice, but ice would not be able to wear masks anymore. But in order to get the Republicans to agree to that, they would up the penalties, the federal penalties for doxing federal agents. I have no idea whether that had any chance of passing, whether that's still going to be on the table, whether you may see that before Congress leaves.
But the president doing it again politically, they win big time. I don't see a weak point legally on it. Tired of partisan noise. America's more divided than ever, but independent Americans is adding the light to contrast all that she and dependent Americans daily news with army veteran Paul Rikov. You're listening to Red Eye Radio from the Relief Factor Studio. And I'm Gary McNamara, along with Eric Hurley, who has the morning off, download our Red Eye Radio app today. And you can listen when and where you choose. All right, it's the Friday so so we got to clear the desk. All right, we're working a little bit, Steven A Smith taking over some of my duties today, especially on photo ID.
“No, we won't play it again so soon after we just played it. But I think it's going up again.”
It's just a great article written by Charles Cook and National Review. We had played at the other day, Fox went out and found, you know, as they do every single year, they do it. And I think Jesse Waters does it. He did it with Bill O'Reilly. Remember he would go out to the beach and asked and asked, you know, drunk students on the beach, what they know about modern politics. And we played a couple of cuts the other day and laughed. And he writes this article
in defense of beach idiots. There's note, there is no great need to break clueless adolescents for enjoying the tail end of their childhoods. The New York Post is immediately upset to discover that a bunch of half-drunk spring breakers in Florida do not answer political questions in the same learned style as did the economist Milton Friedman. Fox News managed to find some of the most clueless revelers in America in a series of Florida
beach interviews on Jesse Waters' prime time on Monday. Now, remember, they've done this for years and it is humorous. The eye of Toler because we actually played that one.
The eye of Toler, the kids have never heard of them. Is the US at war with the rack or a
“ran who can say and the most pressing issue facing the US? What bikini I'm going to wear next?”
One scannily clad part here on the Fort Lauderdale Beach, remarked in the jaw-dropping video. Ug. If this is how political junkies are required to treat their fellow citizens, you can count me out of that guilt. For start, it's not all that obvious to me that the people on the beach are any less knowledgeable about current affairs than those of the similar age who spend their days indignantly political on social media and beyond. He does have a point there.
It is true that the figures whom Fox interviewed do not know anything useful about immigration or foreign policy or economics, but frankly neither do most engaged 18-year-olds. Many of them by dint of their political obsessions have talked themselves into holding some of the stupis ideological opinions ever witnessed by the tired eyes of man. I am not as a rule and advocate for ignorance. But I'm willing to bet for example that the median beach gore
in Fox's video has a better instinctive understanding of American politics than the median attendee of a Brooklyn Democrats for Socialist American Meeting. Now as ever, intensity does not wisdom create. I'd also, sorry, this is funny. I'd also be willing to bet that those beachgoers are far happier than most political obsessives
“that's true. And at age 20, happy is a pretty important thing to be.”
It's just, it's just great. So he just goes on and on in it, but I just, I thought it was just a hilarious, because he does make a good point. And I'll tell you this, if you're a happy person, even if you're ignorant, I probably, if you're an ignorant young person, but you're extremely happy about life, which means you have a positive attitude, right? And there was some sarcasm in there when they, you know, again, when the Fox News, though, interviewing the girl and making
sure what made the cut was, you know, what's the most important issue facing the United States today?
What bikini I'm going to wear?
you know, their front page, so many days, it'd be like Warren Iran going on the, the
“economics of of of of of of of tariffs, what the Democrats said today concerning Trump.”
This movie star in her bikini on a beach with pictures here, you know, Fox does that all the time. And we've often wondered because I forgot who else used to do that. Was it newsmax? For God. For God was some other, and we started noticing this about probably five, six, seven, eight years ago. We're like, why did they, it's, you know, I go to Fox for news.
And they always seemed to throw in some type of bikini story that is Hollywood's
Charlotte, 55 years old in a bikini. You know, what they should do is want they do that for the guys, you know, this movie star who's let himself go, this dude with a huge beer belly is on the beach. Now that would be things I'd want to see. I mean, in a disgusting way, not in a pleasurable, I want to make this clear, not in any type of pleasurable or way at all. I lived, I don't want to make this clear. I lived on a beach. I had my own little private beach. The Santa Rosa sound in
Nevada, Florida back in the 80s, but I was always at Nevada Beach all the time, body surfing,
wind sailing, doing a bunch of stuff. This goes back to the mid 80s. So I'm an expert on the beach.
“And I'll never forget, it was even when I was down there. I think there was somewhere back in”
the 80s. There was someplace within maybe 20 miles of me that was like a nude beach. And people talked about, no, we have to have nude beaches and everything else. And there was a whole thing that if men go topless, women should go topless. And that's when I believe I made the most educated observation outside of politics in my career. And that was when I said, no, I've spent three years on the beach. You could have called me a beach bump for a while.
I did all the beach bump stuff. No, I didn't collect food stamps like a surfer do did. And that work. I was still working the entire time. But no, I came to realize that we humans as a species 99% of us. I know Seinfeld said, what do you say? 90% of people are undatable? No, about 90% of human bodies. And I'm including myself and Erics, too, are not work looking at. And I know because I lived on the beach. And I advocated not that women should go topless, but that men
should put their tops back on. So just so you know where I am, but, but, you know, with Fox News with that, I'll be showing them that I was got like a bikini story. I'll check to see if they have one. They had one yesterday. I don't know if they had one today on it, but it's really interesting. But make a great point. If he actually makes a great point, if kids are happy in their 20s and they're happy and they're sarcastic,
“even if they're a little tipsy when they're doing it. If they're happy, I believe I have a much better”
chance with a very happy person because that's means are pretty positive of what they're looking at about what they want to do in life. I believe I have a better chance to talk issues with them
because I think it's more likely that people that are happy are probably better critical thinkers
than those people that are 20, you know, you look at a Greta, for example, how angry she has been all the time. There's no open mind when you're that angry. And so I think Charles Cook actually makes a great point. Now I'm not telling Fox News to stop because some of the reactions, some of the things that these young people say are pretty funny and it does show and we've said this before and I would agree with him, let's not focus and say that just young people are ignorant.
There's a ton of people in the arena of ideas that are completely and totally clueless. They haven't done their homework. They don't know how the world runs. We talk about the Democrats all the time. Constantly, completely and totally clueless, ignorant and online. So, you know, yeah, that's the, as the one song goes from the, from the Canadian band,
The northern pikes, what the kids are talking about means zero now, but you'v...
in teen land now, in dream land now. As they should be, you know, as having to talk with my sister,
just yesterday and I was talking about, you know, people that indoctrinate their kids, you know, for example, and this is all about, you know, the whole no kings protest, which will get to here and just a little bit. The whole no kings protest going on and how they bring their kids to it and how they, you know, you see their kids that they bring with them that are completely hate-filled and brainwashed. I just think that's so bad and we were talking about my, my great
nephew got some, you know, just some great basketball awards and got an academic basketball award too, which was just great because he does even at his young age, you know, he, he wants to be good
in both sports and in academics, which is great for a 17 year old, but he's always said tremendous
“curiosity, but as I think I said this on the other day when we got into discussion, Eric and I,”
I said, I've always told him, don't agree with me because I'm your uncle. Don't agree with me, because you love me. Don't agree with me because I do this professionally and if you listen to me, you know, that I've got some really good arguments. If you disagree with me, say, I don't figure I disagree with you, answer these questions for me because I don't understand why you believe this. I said, make me convince you and, you know, he's a, he's a great critical thinker.
So yeah, it probably isn't the best just to get kids that are drunk. That's spring break.
Uh, to make the analogy that all young people are like that because I know a lot of young people that are not, but even in when I was growing up, there were a lot of ignorant kids too. And we probably were more inebriated. Excuse me, I get, I'm not drinking now, inebriated. Did I slurse through that? We probably might have been more inebriated than they were. All right, we are Red Eye Radio. When it comes to supplements, there are two things that

When I'm radio, he is there crawling on Gary McNamara, Eric has the morning off. So, yeah, just still going through all of social media and just any legal scholar out there that I know. I mean, legal scholar of the Constitution with his Jonathan Turley. I haven't been able to
“find anything yet on the president's decision legally to fund TSA from funds that have already”
been allocated to Homeland Security, which are really our future funds. I haven't seen anybody make that argument yet. Not even on the left. In fact, the left continues to say including members of Congress. Well, why didn't Trump do it in the beginning? It shows that Trump could have funded them all the time. Well, because Trump is actually saying I'm doing the executive order based on an emergency that it's been what three weeks and Congress is going out of town.
If emergency happens, Congress can't be here to allocate any money. So, in this emergency situation, I am going to fund TSA. Now, what the time limit is, I don't know. But the time limit, I'm assuming would be, since he specifically mentioned, Congress is going to be out of town. It would be at least be funding for the next two weeks, whether it would be retroactive. And then the funding continue until Congress comes back. I don't know.
And we'll probably find all that information out in the morning. But politically, I think it's a
Big winner, because a president simply has to say, well, I didn't do it from ...
because there wasn't an emergency in the beginning. Until they missed a paycheck,
“there wasn't an emergency. But what really created the emergency was the fact that”
everybody's leaving town without a deal. And if an emergency happens, hey, communicate, we're communicating the message word war. TSA is about security for Americans, plus we can't have airports closing down in the United States. That's my emergency. Debate that one politically. You really can't. But again, I haven't seen anything that that would show that what he is doing is unconstitutional unless there is a specific law
that says you can't transfer future money in an emergency to a different section
of the same department of which you are the executive over in the executive branch.
“Top of the our news is drawn to you by how products visit how products.com. This is RIDI radio on Westwood 1.”
Now, it's RIDI radio, Gary McNamara, and Eric Hurley talk about everything from politics to social issues and news of the day. Whether you're up late or you're just starting your day, welcome to the show from the Relief Factor Studios. This is RIDI radio. All across America, we are RIDI radio. I'm Gary McNamara, Eric has the morning off. He returns because the president is putting in the funding to fund TSA, at least for a
portion of time here so Eric can get back on this weekend and be here for Monday's show. It's the RIDI radio bailout. I really have watched a little bit of March madness, but not a lot, but I've watched some of it. But I miss this and this is really great. And since I played Steven A Smith, and since I'm not going to try to sneak in any golf stories to the show today, but since I played Steven A Smith, I've given myself permission to play an audio cut relating to
sports, but still relating to real life and young people. And I just saw this in the last 15 minutes, and this is Dan Hurley, who is the coach of the University of Connecticut, who has asked why does the media have a problem with coaches coaching players hard? I found his answer very interesting. What do you think it says about the culture that people see yelling or hard coaching and somehow think that's a problem? Yeah, I just think that's society. We've got
“soft in a lot of ways. I think with trying to develop young people, I think young people,”
the teachers and coaches that impact their lives and not the teachers and coaches that gave them a grade they didn't deserve. I mean, you remember the teachers and coaches that pushed you to your maximum, you know, that pushed you beyond your comfort level that got the most out of you that English teacher that, you know, made you do the work and the tests were hard and you had the study hard and just think the same thing applies to coaching. You know, we feel like I got a
responsibility, you know, I coach 18, 19, 20 year old men, there's a lot that I got to instill in them, there's a lot of discipline, there's a lot of accountability, there's a lot of commitment that I've got to instill in them to prepare them for the real world, the real world, it's tough, it's cruel, you got to be, you got to be equipped. So on the flip side of how I'm driving them and pushing them to be the best that they can be in prepare for life. I've got a very close bound with my
players, I love them, they know I love them and a lot of our relationship that the media doesn't see or or times that we spend, you know, together, laughing, joking, making fun of each other, you know, you don't see that part of me, you unfortunately just sometimes see the monster.
I never objected to hard coaching directed towards me and sports. I never did and I had a
couple of coaches, especially in basketball that were, you know, I guess hard, but I never took it that way.
How I took it, the same way I do today, and I'll give you an example of not t...
but in the last couple of years. And so when a coach yelled at me, to me, I didn't take it,
“I don't know, I took it in the way that he thought I could be better, and that's what I wanted to be,”
that he was angry because he knew I could be better. And I go back to a couple of years ago when I had problems with my back and I was desperate to find a golf swing. I worked golf into it. It sounded like elf, didn't it? And, you know, I still work out like crazy. When I was at the doctors the other day, it's, you know, I told my doctor, I said, you know, this is the blood work. This is my 10th anniversary of having tied two diabetes. And he said,
well, you really been working at it because your blood, you know, your blood sugars lower than it was back then. And I go, I work out like crazy. One of the reasons I work out like crazy, I think the number one reason is so I, is so I can golf. Number two is for my life. I want to live a healthy life. This number two, that I want to be able to golf. And I haven't been able to golf a lot, and I'm starting to practice again, because I've got to turn them, I've got the independent Bob golf tournament. People that
long time listeners to the show know, independent Bob. I have the independent Bob golf tournament coming up next month. So I'm going to have some kind of decent gain. But I took lessons. I took lessons from a guy, you know, of course it was a pro, former college football player.
“And he, former college football player in Iowa, I believe. And he became a golf pro.”
And I hit more golf balls. And I think I actually hurt my knee because I hit so many golf balls in that year period that I took lessons from him. And he would yell at me. And one time, I don't want to get into the specific stuff. It'd be anybody who plays golf.
He wanted me, you know, he wanted me to hit the ball first and then take the divot afterwards.
Anybody who plays golf knows that concept. When you take the divot, the divot is not supposed to be before the ball is supposed to be after the ball. You come down on the ball. You don't try to sweep the ball. You come down. It's a down motion. And I just wasn't hitting the ground to his satisfaction. And so one day, I got there. He goes, you're not going to, you're just going to hit the ground. It's all you're going to do. You're going to hit the ground. And I'm doing, and he's yelling at me.
He goes, I'm going to go, I'm going to go to the clubhouse. I'm going to come back here. You just hit the ground. Keep hitting the ground. You know, yelling at me.
I don't even notice it. You know, to me, it's just like you. That's how coaches have always
been to me. The coaches that I've had. He comes out and starts apologizing to me. He said, I'm sorry. I've really been yelling at you a lot lately. And you're actually paying me for these lessons. And I'm yelling at you. And I turned to him. And I said, that's okay. He said, you don't mind it. I said, not in the slightest. I go, I didn't even notice it until you just told me now. And I said, you know, why? And he said, why? I said, because you are under the
“delusion that I can be a better golfer than I think I can be. And that's what you're trying to”
to get me to. And he really did improve my game. And I've had injuries for the last year and a half. But, you know, when I have played, I've played a lot better. And, you know, following what he what he told me. And, you know, I take the 10 things that he taught me. And that's good enough
for me to have a great round of golf these days. So, hard coaching never bothered me at all.
And, you know, life is, you know, looking at life now as somebody who's still working. And, really, I should have retired a few years ago. When you look back at it, a lot of times life was hard, but when I look back at it, because I, if you have the passion and the work ethic to do it, when I look back at life now, it wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be initially. I'm not saying it wasn't hard at that time. But I was so passionate about doing it,
or I didn't notice how hard it was. If that makes sense. And so, when I look back at it now, I'm like, wow. And there are times, I mean, this business can be tough. And the other businesses, I was in an industry and business can be, you know, very, very tough at that moment when you're in it.
When I look back, I'm like, I'm glad I had passion for all those things.
because it made the hardness of doing something easier. And when I look back at it now,
I'm like, wow, what a great life I've had. And I'm still having. I don't want to make it sound like it's over because it's, yeah, just a perspective. So I thought that was just great from, from Dan Hurley on that. All right. So we have another no kings weekend coming up. And I feel it's very unpatriotic because the only no kings weekend should be independent
“stay the fourth or July. But the more I think about it, the more there is, as we've talked about,”
where the left is going now, where the Democrats are going. And, you know, we've said that this has been really the last month when Bernie Sanders and Gavin Newsom and the cast of Morning Joe on MS now. The number one liberal TV network, everybody is stupid. You know, everybody is stupid. Now, the leadership is the leadership of the left is stupid. They're all playing stupid. The media is stupid. We don't know how to get a burst of
to the good. Uh, uh, hold you. Why? Forest, can you help me get a burst or difficult forest? You're able to get through life, Mr. Gump. But we don't know how to get to life because we're the idiot leaders over the idiots who vote for us. That's the message they're communicating. And I think the no-king thing is the same thing. Well, Trump did executive orders. As is every president. How many executive orders were overturned? Uh, uh, you know, on Biden, on Obama. Every president
does it. Doesn't make it a king. We live in a, as we a constitutional republic that has three branches of government, every branch of government, including the judicial branch, tests the limits of the separation of powers. And we know it, Congress does it, executive branch
“does it, and judicial branch does it. We're not a marner key here. And so the no-king thing”
is just the Democrats being stupid again and the left being stupid. Let's, let's say we don't want kings. We don't want kings. And you can see it. There were spots to people who talk about it, then the response on social media going, this doesn't even make sense. And that's another thing that we've said that they don't even make sense at times. And what they're saying doesn't even make, like, but there's no logic. You're, you're not even connecting the dots here. And we've referred to
that as the, the putty strategy, putty from sign fell. And there's a scene on there where he's
there's a scene in one of the episodes. I don't even know what you wanted was. But it always,
always get the biggest laugh out of it because Elaine's arguing with him and his responses don't even make sense. They don't even relate to what she's saying. And she looks at him and says,
“putty, that doesn't even make sense. And that's what we're dealing with on the left. The whole”
no kings thing. And I go back to my great nephew when I was back last summer. I was back in Western New York. And we went, we went to the driving range. Wow, everything sort of fits in here. We went to the driving range. We're coming back. I don't even know that we were going into an area where the no kings protest was. And anybody who's from Western New York was listening right now was right at, at Niagara Falls Boulevard where Niagara Falls Boulevard and Brighton meet,
which then I forgot to street that goes into right near where the old Boulevard Mall is,
is where they were all there. And he's, I never forget my great nephew. 16 at the time,
looks at me and says, I don't understand this because we, we don't have a king. Why are they saying Trump's a king? I've just burst up laughing. It doesn't make any sense. We're, we're not an Uncle Gary. We're not a marner key. And I go, I know. Well, then this doesn't make sense. Why don't they just say we object to Trump doing this or doing that? I said, I know that's the entire point. That's, you know, we talk about that on the radio all the time. It doesn't make any sense.
And, and that's the whole thing about the whole no kings, but they don't seem to care. It's like, we don't care if the argument doesn't make any sense. We don't care if the basic umbrella narrative that we're promoting makes absolutely no sense. It's what you night's us together. So we're going
To continue to make no sense.
specific of the issues, but they don't do that. They create an umbrella narrative that they
believe is like genius when the rest of the public's going, it doesn't make any sense. And the media goes along with them. I'll be posting. I got to find it. There's a, I responded with it. I've got it. I got posted on X. It's a psychiatrist with the guy, you know, sitting on the couch.
“And he says, now do you see no king? Do you see kings in this room?”
And that's the entire point. And if you go in social media with somebody, probably I'm going to be in the no kings and all the responses are you're not even making sense. If you disagree with the guy, say specifically Trump doing this is just unconscionable. Do that, argue the issues, but you're setting an umbrella narrative that doesn't even make sense. And that's where we are with the left today. We are Red Eye Radio. This morning's USDA farm report is brought to you by house products
tested, trusted guaranteed since 1920 priorities for scientific research for USDA. As explained by
Undersecretary for research education and economic Scott Hutchins, the first is to increase U.S.
grower and rancher profitability in or reduce variability in profitability. Another area is to help us expand markets and users of agricultural products and buy products to increase both market at export opportunities. A third one is we need to protect the integrity of U.S. agricultural systems from invasive species, foreign organisms and the like. Other USDA scientific research priorities include really to improve soil health as the basis to regenerate long-term U.S. productivity.
And then for us to utilize our extensive nutrition research to better understand the impact of nutrition and food on chronic diseases. I'm Rod Bade reporting for the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Washington, D.C. This report brought to you by Senox Fules and Loots. We'll be right back with more Red Eye Radio with every currently and dairy McNamara. We are Red Eye Radio. He's our colony. I'm Gary McNamara coming up following the bottom of the
hour. AOC blaming President Trump for the electricity bills in New York City. And as governor Hockel in New York is trying to do everything to stop all the climate change legislation because
“she knows that's why the electricity prices in New York are skyrocketing. Chuck Schumer yesterday”
came out and said we need to get back to wind and solar. I mean, they're all over the place. And so we'll get to that coming up following the bottom of the hour. I do have this story, though, on voter ID. Oh, wait a minute. That's right. No, I don't have the story on voter ID. We are deferring any story on voter ID today to that well-known liberal Democrat sportscaster, Steven A Smith. Let me stay for the record. You should have a damn ID. I have no problem with the demand for an ID
developed. You need to ID for everything else and to the progressive less shut the hell up. You got a man New York City that required to ID for you to shovel snow. You ain't in no position to be bitching about how he wants IDs and a GOP wants IDs for votes. Shut up!
You know, just like many people here are song for the first time and want to play it over and over again
“because you're really into it. I think that's the obsession I have today with that audio”
gut from Steven A Smith. I'll be playing it on a loop this weekend. Just how far are they going to go on that? I mean, it really is interesting from a political standpoint. They're not moving the needle at all on voter ID. They can't win it. The public hasn't been moved by it. There is no movement from the public. I don't know if there's no movement from the Democrats on it. Yet they keep pounding it over and
over and over again. I just wonder, do they truly believe? Do they now believe? I didn't hear as much of it yesterday, but do they truly believe that planes stupid? Like they're,
You know, I'm a member of how many Democrats want to play stupid on that one?
We know Newsom does. We know Bernie Sanders has. We don't know how to find our voter ID.
“We know the morning show at MSNow all want to play stupid. We're going to get our”
birth certificates and then the lies that they've thrown out to that they've been challenged immediately on what this law actually contains. How long do they think that's going to work? And how many Democrats go, look, I really don't want to play stupid. [Music] Catch Red Eye Radio Live every night on the Red Eye Radio app available in the app store.
Red Eye Radio. And he is there, Carlion, I'm Gary McNamara, Eric has some morning off, but returns for Sunday Night Monday morning show. I'm here with you and you're here with me. And don't forget download our Red Eye Radio app today and you can listen when you want to. That's right. Whatever you want it. All right. One of the audio cuts that we have brought back this week and we
“played it multiple times. I'm going to play it again now because I think it's so pertinent”
as to what's going on in many blue states, many, you know, blue areas of the country. And that's the skyrocketing cost of electricity as we know. And the fact that this isn't an accident. It wasn't well, you know, this just happened and no, it's because it was what the left and
the Democrats wanted. The goal of the Democrats, just like Eric and I always get upset when we hear,
well Joe Biden could have done a better job on the border. He did a wonderful job on the border. I know I got your attention with that one. He did an absolutely wonderful job on the border. He did exactly what he wanted to do. What his goal was was to allow millions of people into the United States. That was his goal. When they say, when the even the Democrats say, well, he failed to control the border. No, he didn't.
He never tried to control the border. He succeeded in doing what he wanted to do. And the same thing with energy. The same thing with electricity. This was the plan of Democrats. I saw the the the figure that in New York City, they pay an average of 31 cents per kilowatt hour. And I think the I've seen the average in the United States 17 or 18 cents. An hour. There's a reason. There's a reason that electricity prices in New York state in New
York City are higher. It's what they wanted. And Kathy Holkel was in Western New York. My buddy's made sure they from Western New York, which is the Buffalo area. They made sure that I knew about it. She was in cheap douaga. A suburb of Buffalo. And she was actually saying, you've got to help me to the people. You need
“to help. You need to help me. What are you talking about? You were completely for the legislation”
that exists now. That is the reason that your electricity prices are through the roof. These weren't circumstances beyond your control. They passed these laws a series of laws over the years to make electricity more expensive.
And the reason they did that is they knew that fossil fuels were always going to be cheaper than
solar and wind. And so in order to even it out, they gave subsidies. Your taxpayer dollars. It wasn't cheaper. They simply had taxpayers paying for the cost of alternative energy. And the goal was give them so many subsidies and tax the daylights. Cap and trade regulation, banning natural gas pipelines. Doing all of this, your goal was to destroy the fossil fuel industry. So there was no
Of the choice except alternative energy.
goal of the Democrats for decades now. How do we know that? This audio cut from Barack Obama
“before he was president doing an interview with the San Francisco Chronicle in February of 2018.”
The man that you put up as almost a deity you're now screaming about. What his goal was to implement skyrocketing electricity prices was the goal of Democrats as Barack Obama explains. Okay, I've got some, let's try again. Okay, we're going to play here. Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket. There you go. I remember when Eric and I, this disc goes back, I don't know,
15, 16, 17 years ago. When we were saying that, a guy called up he was furious.
Obama never said that. We played the audio cut. I remember asking, what do you think? We,
we didn't say do you think it's artificial intelligence because it didn't exist at that time.
“What do you think we made it up and we added that in? You must have.”
Just like nobody could be that stupid. Nobody could be that stupid and attempt to win an election on that. He won an election on it. And the same thing with gasoline prices. Democrats in California want the high gasoline prices. They've been around for ages. You haven't elected, you haven't elected people to stop that ridiculous legislation. You haven't stopped it.
You haven't done it. New York keeps still electing Democrats. New York wants the high electricity
prices. The Democrats in New York want the high gas, or excuse me, the high electricity prices. It's what they continue to vote for. Now, let's get to AOC, trying to blame Trump for the high electricity prices in New York City. Here we go. Much as, you know, as much as we'd have, as I personally have differences with this administration, I would want them to be successful in reducing the energy bills of American people.
But people are feeling it. It's not working. In New York City alone, there are some families that are getting electric bills that are $600 a month. As high as some people were paying in rent not too long ago before our housing costs skyrocketed as well. So, you know, I don't think those efforts are working on behalf of the administration. Look at that. Because the administration wants, she's talking about the president, so I'm a Trump. You know, I agree with them that I want
to get them down, but what he's doing isn't working. Because he has no control over what New York state decides to do. He wants New York state to stop doing what they're doing. He has no control over that. But now, the plan that they created, it was their goal. There was no other goal, except a skyrocket electricity prices. That was the goal of AOC. What do you think the green new deal was that they all jumped aboard? And now they realize it's not working. And so they
“want to reverse it, except Wall Street Journal. Remember when progressives used Putin's”
invasion of Ukraine to promote their green energy agenda, electric heat pumps to the rescue. Well, not Democrats are doing the same with the war in Iran, and what to amount to unilateral energy and AI disarmament. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer on Wednesday rallied his troops to combat what in their view as America's biggest threat fossil fuels. These big oil guys fund much of the Republican Party and they hate clean energy. Because they're all into gas, oil,
and coal, he said, at a league of conservative voters event, we need to protect our planet. Mr. Schumer talked about building more clean energy transmission and battery storage restricting data centers that don't run unrenewable energies, batteries, batteries, batteries, fight, fight, fight, his pep talk exposes his parties to attachment from reality on energy and national security.
Democrats say they want to build more clean energy never mind the critical mi...
for wind, solar and batteries are mostly processed in China using coal power and leech
“toxic byproducts. They oppose permitting reforms that would prohibit agencies from considering”
a project's potential downstream effects and limit lawsuits to tie a project's and inflate costs. Permanent delays and litigation hindered the buildout of transmission lines, pipelines, housing factories, data centers, and more. They are also one of America's biggest liabilities against China, but Democrats won't compromise that on reforms that would diminish their power and hold and they hold fossil fuel projects hostage.
They want to expand transmission lines to connect more solar and wind to grids and democrat
run states with renewable mandates and then pass the cost of these projects onto people in other states. That's the real plan to make energy affordable. So on one hand, Schumer's out there, the leader of the Democrats is the leader of the Democrats saying we need more clean energy as Kathy Hulkel is saying we got to get off this thing at clean energy because it's killing the citizens of New York as an AOC is blaming Trump who is no control over what New York is
doing because of the high energy costs and Schumer say no, we need more clean energy. Again, Democrats make sense be consistent. They're all over the place. It's like the affordability thing. We saw it happen in Virginia, affordability, affordability, how do we get affordability, government raising your taxes, and then picking and choosing the
“winners and losers and who we're going to give money to from other people. That's how we're”
going to do affordability. We're going to increase the taxes that we tax you on and then
to select the people give you some money back for it. I don't believe in affordability, they never
did. But that's where they are right now and watching Hulkels this week is just you're dying laughing going, what are you talking about? And the left is saying we're not going to reverse these policies. If you live in New York, if you live in New York City and you're sick and tired of the energy costs, it's what the leaders and the party in dominant power in New York state, it's what they want and it's what the Democrat voters want. Now that it's coming near
election time, it's like, oh, no, maybe we've got to back off in it and we're looking for solutions. It's Donald Trump's fault. That is squarely the high cost of electricity, just like where the high cost of gasoline exists in the United States is one. Well, okay, you did have a couple of moderate Republicans at the time going, well, we need to be concerned about climate change,
“remember Newt Gengrich sitting on the bench with Nancy Pelosi. Oh, maybe we, you know,”
we might not be able to fight this because because we live in a nation of idiots and the idiots all say, oh, we want to save the planet and then they're going to go crazy when prices go up. We saw this, remember in 2008, even the majority of people that call themselves far left liberals, remember on gasoline prices skyrocketed, said cheaper prices are more important than the environment. People are original. I want clean energy and it's going to be cheaper because they told me,
well, it's not cheaper. Well, duh, this is where people are idiots on economics, where the left is our complete idiots on economics. We all knew it was going to happen. We all knew it was going to happen in New York state. We all did. We warned them. We are Red Eye Radio. Coming up more with Gary McNamara and Eric Carley, it's Red Eye Radio. We are Red Eye Radio. Eric has a morning off at which he was here right now. He'll be back
on Monday morning, Sunday night, Monday morning because here in the last 45 minutes, the Senate has passed a bill. And wow, we, we come off looking like somebody said one time,
You guys must have a mole in Congress.
because what we said two weeks ago is exactly what the Senate passed. Exactly. And now goes to the
house. I might have been pressured by Trump again saying, I'm going to fund it. And they didn't want to sit for two weeks with the Trump funding. Fox News saying, well, it's a Republican
capitulation. It's exactly what we thought they were going to do, which is there is no funding,
“no future funding. Because remember, it's already, there is no claw back on the money that was in”
the big beautiful bill. ISIS still funded. Border Patrol is still funded. It's still, you know,
there are no limitations, but they're not the future funding isn't there, the Trump wanted,
but they can pass that in reconciliation. But there is nothing on masks.
“Nothing on changing the policies whatsoever of ice at all.”
Let me just see here. Yeah, so it's exactly exactly what we thought it was. Now, we'll see whether it can pass the house. , this is Ridae Radio on Westwood One.

I got a lot of stuff. This is the kind of stuff. It's real. May not hear this anywhere else. Hard truths. There's a lot of stuff to talk about, then you think it's going to open a lot of eyes and a lot of ignorators are going to get shut down. And a bold perspective, no one else can offer. They are freaking out. It's the comeback. Everyone's been waiting for.
