Now, it's Red Eye Radio, Gary McNamara, and Eric Hurley talk about everything from

politics to social issues and news of the day, whether you're up late or you're just

starting your day. Welcome to the show from the Relief Factor Studios. This is Red Eye Radio. [Music] All across America, we are Red Eye Radio, I'm Gary McNamara. Along with Eric Hurley before we give any further, you flew this weekend any problems. I did not have any problems.

Thank you for asking Gary, I flew Thursday, flew out of DFW on Thursday morning early.

And I got there at 5 a.m. And I just want to compliment all the construction at DFW airport. Or you just awesome. Oh, you haven't been there at all. Oh, no, no, I've been there on going. I didn't have to fly out of the sea terminal, but that's the worst right now. Yeah, I flew out of A. I got it. But I got to figure out. Yeah. And a body of mine that I've known since grade school from Del Rio is a big part of that project.

Now he told me he goes, I don't even have to be on site because I'm running everything from here.

So it's and I'm like, oh, that's great. That he goes, oh, it's I've been out there, of course. And it's it's awesome. So anyway, so I got there. I've seen it's going to be when it's complete.

Right. And 200 years when I think the it's never going to be complete.

When we're not even using airplanes anymore, we're just beaming everywhere we go. But it's what will that TSA line be like, I got there. And again, two hours right at two hours before my flight. Roughly an hour and a half before boarding. I've seen longer lines even early morning flights. I've seen longer lines in the summer. I've seen lines three times that long during summer travel. So that was no big deal.

And then come them back from Louisville when I hit the ground in Louisville when I, I'm sorry, when we landed in Louisville. And I got off the plane and I was walking out of the secure area. I was like, wow, outbound out of Louisville Airport on the Thursday.

There's just nobody there. I mean, there was nobody in the line. I mean, four or five people were standing there and that was it.

And I thought, well, it's, you know, Thursday morning. We flew out Saturday afternoon to 30, 245 somewhere around there. We got there at right around noonish. And the colleague of ours, she was TSA precheck. I wasn't. I beat her through. There was nobody in line. And I was at the American trucking show and it's the largest trucking trade show that there, and it's been around for this is the 54th annual. And it's typically on a Saturday, right about that time, you see a lot of people flying out from the trade show.

The trade show had great traffic. I mean, there was people there. A lot of people there as, as per usual, but now I just wonder again how many people changed their plans. There are a lot of companies that are regional that, that exhibit at that show. I don't know if they decided to drive just to, you know, run a car and drive just to be safe to make sure they were going to make it, then make it home. I don't know. But I'll tell you this, I had no issues whatsoever with TSA, but, you know, then again, I wasn't flying to Atlanta.

The one time I flew out of Atlanta was last summer, and the line was just insane. And so the nice TSA agent right there at the beginning, when you go through, when you get your ID checked, she goes, go through that one. She sent me through precheck. There was nobody in line in precheck. The other line was just just insane. I mean, it's Atlanta, but it was just insane. But we're some, of course, the busiest airport that's where it's going to be the worst with the recent situations, but she sent me through TSA precheck. And I, I buzzed right through.

And, but, well, I guess we'll see what happens if we, you know, the, the president's executive order has an impact. The house and the Senate going back and forth while I was gone, and, you know, we'll see where it goes. I, I, the Democrats clearly aren't in a rush.

You know, I thought to myself when the Senate passed that the other day, I th...

And all that, and I thought, okay, they were just doing their show because it's time for them to go home for their two week break. And that's the criticism of the thing that I had. It wasn't as much. I understood why they made that compromise because it was already funded and the goal was then. Do it through reconciliation and some of the Republican senators were talking about a 10 year funding of it through reconciliation of home, well, ice, home and security, whatever. Right. And I went, okay, and I was thinking to myself, I went, I wonder if Trump and the house are aboard on it by the time I left here.

No, it was about it when I got home. I had already seen some Republicans say, well, this is a no go. And then they came up in the house, then they came up with their two month patch. I don't think, and and doing was getting a ton of criticism. I, that's not where I criticized him where I criticized, well, I didn't, I'm making it sound like it was past 10.

This is first time I've criticized, you know, publicly is they, he should not have allowed them to leave town.

Right. It should have been no, we're waiting for the house. And until the president signs this, nobody goes anywhere. Right. Until the president signs it, we're not going anywhere. And the thing is, because the, because they control the Senate, the Democrats can say, we're willing to negotiate. They make the decision whether we stay or leave. And if they wanted to stay, and that's, I haven't heard a lot of criticism of that yet, but that's where they open the door.

Uh, now again, if TSA's being paid, but TSA's being paid from what I know secret service and other areas of Homeland Security are not being paid.

Right. And if this is about, because Republicans are screaming, this is about national security and it is why the hell are you leaving town?

Right. Right.

And that goes directly to Thune.

Yeah. That goes with, yeah. That goes nowhere else except, you know, except to Thune. It's like, no, you keep them in there. You say, we're not leaving. The house is going to get it. If they don't pass it, we're staying. Not only are we staying during our break, we're staying this weekend. Right. And we're going to keep going until we get this done. Right.

You know, there's all this talk about whether we should have, get rid of the filibuster or have the talking filibuster. You won't even keep Democrats in there day in and day out to pound on them. Because even, you know, when you, when you, when you see more and more Democrats coming to it, no, our goal is to get rid of ice. We want to get rid of ice. And we want to get rid of a significant portion of the border patrol.

What they're saying is, and this is where you, this is where you take the messaging and I'm sorry.

When you decide to go into this business, and you've got a bunch of people in the opposition party that are bats who crazy. You let the public know it. We'll get to know kings are in a little bit. But that's one thing no kings does. You know, all the local TV stations you and I were talking about.

You know covering it, they're getting blasted on social media. And then they interview people. And as I told you, I said, it's becoming a freak show. No, it is.

Remember, remember the first year of the the women's march after after a Trump was elected.

And then the next year, where they couldn't decide what to do because we can't all wear pink hats because not all women have vaginas. And it's just, you know, it's got to be just a zoo and then it's sort of disappeared. It's becoming a freak show. Well, then you keep in the Senate for this. Keep the freak show going.

Yeah, you know, and I even saw we'll have some of the audio cuts. Even the Sunday morning news show saying, no, you guys are the ones. What do you mean? You're not going to fund ice at all. Right.

You're saying nobody should be deported from inside the country, even if they've committed a criminal act. You're saying sanctuary cities are correct. It's not a winning argument for them. Sorry, you decided to take this job. And if it's about national security, you stay at damn work.

Yep, because if it's about national security and soldiers don't get the day off or the week off. And, you know, extended deployments. We know that happens all the time. If they're doing it, you cannot win this by standing. No, it's time for us to get our two week break.

We need to go back to our constituents. Bulldo do.

Well, this is the problem that it's, you know, this is honestly.

I really, because I was just starting my day.

I woke up, probably around 5, 4, 4, 4, 35 Eastern on Friday, starting my day.

And I was like, okay, and it was just breaking. And I was like, here we are.

And this sounds like we're all we want to do is get out of town.

Let's just get this done and get it out of town. And, and with Schumer like, yeah, well, you know, we, we set our peace. And then, you know, waving goodbye locked, turning the lights out and walking away. And I thought to myself, this isn't a sure deal in this, in the house. In fact, I thought, I don't think this version is going to get through the house.

I was saying that to myself. And then, of course, it didn't because we didn't know. And I talked about this on Friday. I'm thinking to myself, for them to come up with this deal. And I was looking for, said that the biggest shock is not that they came up with a,

the Senate came up with a deal. But it was 2 a.m. in the morning and Trump hadn't commented on true social. That was the bigger breaking news that he hadn't, that he hadn't commented. He had, which means he was getting a few hours asleep.

But I just assumed that they said, okay, here's what we're going to agree to.

The president's going to agree to it. We got the house leadership. We talked to the house conservatives. Okay, the moderate conservatives. We talked to the moderate conservatives of the house. And they said, okay, as long as we have the votes for reconciliation on a 10 year,

let's, you know, in, in the Senate. Well, then let's, let's do this.

Because remember, this is, this just funds to the end of the fiscal year, which is October.

Right. So we could be here again. And it's like, well, let's take that out of it. Let's figure that might have been their strategy. Let's take this out.

Let's, let's, let's get this, let's get this done. Now the reconciliation in the next month. And we'll fund it for 10 years. Therefore we don't have to revisit this on, you know, come on, October. Right.

Right.

Before the midterm elections.

Right. You take this out of the way. You have it funded. You take this away, you know, from from the Democrats. And apparently nobody was communicating with anybody else.

They just side it then left town. That's the criticism for the Senate leadership of the Republicans, which goes directly at Thune. They should have left town. Right.

Exactly. Until you know, this is a done deal. And, you know, because I was waiting to see. Something like our colleagues in the house. And, and, and, and all of us have been in communication.

And we're confident this is going to pass the house. And we're confident by the end of the day. It will be at the president's desk. Right. And I as I'm reading all the coverage and I was like, I've been seeing a thing.

It was like, and okay, there hasn't been any communication. This was, oh, time for our two week break. We got to go. Well, and I was expecting to see the stories.

That's why I was on on when you were gone Thursday night Friday morning.

I was looking at through social every five minutes scene. I've got expected to present scene. I've talked, you know, this is something that I will pass. We'll put it through reconciliation. The house has the votes to pass this.

I've talked to the leadership of the house. I've talked to the conservative congressional caucus. And they're behind this as long as we get the reconciliation. But we know we have the votes already in the Senate to do it. So let's get this thing done in pass.

Right.

That never happened by the time I went to sleep.

Right. Which was a little bit later. Because I was waiting for that. I was like, I couldn't get to sleep back to my phone. Are they going to get this deal done?

And, and I thought the Democrats were, we're going to agree with it. Because the last thing they want is Trump to be the hero in all of this. That he's the one that's funding TSA. Right. That's right.

I figured there would be that reaction. Right. Right. I was wrong. Yeah.

Right. You know, I was, you know, there. Yeah. And so. And again, I was wrong on speculation, which is, you know,

you're just assuming it's going in one particular way. And you make assumptions with the Republicans that they have to be doing this. They're not going to get something that they know are going to pass and then leave town. Not when they're, they're the ones promoting that we're putting American lives at danger by not funding these things. And then you don't get the ability to go, well, we're on a two week.

We're, you know, we have to need to get back to our constituents. No, you don't. No. No. Yeah.

There was so much that was missing from that breaking news as it was, breaking from the Senate side. I thought, no, this isn't over. This is far from over. And of course, it is.

By the way, one word, one more word to add to all this when we're talking about national security. And this kind of ridiculous behavior. Iran. The fact that the Democrats are sitting on this. And we have no idea, again,

this is on American soil. We have no idea as civilians.

What the dangers might be.

They don't care about national security. The Democrats don't care at all. Well, but national security. That's my point about the Republican leadership. By not staying in.

Yep. They've taken the same. Well, yeah. Exactly. They're now susceptible to the same criticism.

The Democrats are too weak. Break is more important, right?

When we're getting to clearly a critical point with Iran.

Yeah. So you give up the political edge that you had here. Yes. Yeah. Have a nice break.

We are Red Eye Radio brought to you by Hot Shot Secret. Hi, I'm Jen Lumis, a transport safety expert at JJ Keller. In order to manage speed,

you need to understand the four factors involved in stopping a vehicle.

Perception distance is the distance of vehicle travels from the time you see a hazard until you're brain recognizes it. The perception time for an alert driver is approximately three-fourths of a second. Reaction distance is the distance of vehicle travels from the time your brain tells your foot to move from the accelerator until your foot hits the brake pedal.

The average driver has a reaction time of three-fourths of a second. Break leg distance also needs to be taken into account. When operating a vehicle with air brakes, it takes about half a second for the mechanical operation to take place. Finally, breaking distance is the distance it takes a vehicle to stop once the brakes are applied.

Breaking distance is affected by the weight, length, and speed of the vehicle, as well as road condition.

It's become a modern day. It's rich show. It's such a parody of itself. You know. I think one of the, there's a number of things.

But one of the funniest things is when they're like, We're sick and tired of not being heard. We want to be heard. Nobody's going to keep us from being heard. Nobody's keeping them from being heard.

Yeah. In fact, you've got so many conservatives on social media and Republicans wanting you, wanting to interview.

They want to know what you have to say because it's a freak show.

Yes. That's what it's become. Oh, yeah. And Republicans and conservatives don't take it seriously. The local media did route here, route here, route here.

Then they start talking to people. And you have no idea what they want. Right. Clueless. Yeah.

All right. I'm looking here just want to make sure we correct this here.

The Senate is out of session, but because this is just relating before, but a pro form a session.

Is a brief meeting of the senator house only last few minutes where no legislative business is conducted in no votes are taken. These sessions allow the chamber to fulfill legal requirements while most members are away on on recess because. Here I saw this fox story Eric that said the DHS funding drama heads back to the Senate on Monday morning. After the house approved a two month stop at spending bill. I saw the story and I told you if the break I go did he call them back and I didn't hear about it.

No, they did not know the Senate meets Monday at 10 30 to pro form a session in what's supposed to be a brief. Again, it's pro form a session where the body simply gables in and gables out with the skeleton crew on hand. But that might not what that might not be what happens on Monday as soon as the Senate gets through the prayer and pledge. It's likely a Republican senator seeks recognition from the chair if that happens. We anticipate that the GOP senator would ask for unanimous consent.

I mean, all 100 senators would agree to take up the DHS bill passed by the House on Friday and then it'd be ready third time and pass.

I don't know how you can do that outside of them not being there. The House, the chair will then ask if there's any objection if any Senator be the Democrat or Republican, I guess they'd be what. Or whatever objects the bill, the House bill is dead. That means a House and Senate would be continue to be out of alignment on the DHS funding. For instance, the House didn't even consider the bill cleared by all 100 senators and passed by the Senate at 2 19 AM Friday. The House simply wrote their own two month interim bill passed past it on Friday night and then left on it.

There's no objection the House and Senator aligned and will have passed the same bill. That means around the same page. I don't see that happening. Yeah, approval of the House bill by the Senate would end the DHS shutdown. But if there's an objection, everything remains frozen. So there you go.

Yeah, we'll see what happens there.

Yeah, but just to correct for because I was confused for a second.

Well, I mean, yeah, they did adjourn. So that's, you know, the Gabel and Gabel back out.

But it's the question is, is there an expectation that anything will get done?

And I haven't seen anywhere that there is. No, either I could, could come as a surprise. But again, I don't see that happening. Now that no king's protests. You all you saw were Republicans and conservatives highly entertained by this.

Yeah. And by the, the American public that you see some of the Republican, uh, called them slash conservative populist influencers that pretended that they were part of it. And they would walk in the parade and be carrying a sign. And the one side of the sign, you know, was like, we're here for no kings.

They had turned around and it's an insult. You know, they, and they keep flipping it or I mean, it was just right.

Oh, my gosh, it was just, you know.

But this is, I want to give you a perfect example.

Because I think this is the most perfect example of a liberal today on the no kings protest.

So we've talked about this for such a long time that it doesn't. Democrats and liberals don't even make sense anymore. It's not like we object to the policy of the president. It's to come up with a scenario that does not exist and promoted as if it does exist. Right.

And when you see a democratic party that number one, you remember the blue states that attempted to take Trump off the ballot. And we're doing so unconstitutionally and had to be shut down by the Supreme Court on that. Remember that? Remember, Kamala Harris, not one Democrat got to go to the polls to vote for Kamala Harris in the primary, not one. And so when you hear no kings, when you hear, we wish to bring back democracy.

Anybody who was paying any attention to the Democrat party knows that it's simply projection. They're throwing at the other party what they've been doing. Yep. But here's this guy who has got orange stuff on his face. All right.

Look like he died his hair. Okay. Wearing a crown.

But then he's he's in a sleeveless shirt.

He's got some kind of tattoo. Okay. And you can see his flabby upper arms. Yeah. Was that too much information?

Yeah. Probably. Yeah. But here we go with the report. Listen to this.

All right. There we go.

What would you like J.D. Vance to be the president?

No, but not. Yeah. Oh, no. Okay. What would you like to be the president?

Kamala Harris right now. I would she didn't win.

But can I point out something that we say no kings and no authoritarianism?

But Kamala Harris. No one voted for her. Yes, they did. Yes, they did. Isn't that what like authoritarian.

You're going on the wrong road right now with me. I wouldn't go any further. What does that mean? I'm not going to talk to you anymore. That's what it means.

I just think it's ironic that no one voted for her to be the nominee. They just selected her. Like it can't get selected, right? Keep it yourself. Okay.

I have a good day. A guy who's shouting at a protest once someone else to keep their opinion to themselves. Somebody who's saying that they're being censored is attempting to say Kamala. He said Kamala, it's Kamala. Remember that?

Remember that? Remember that? They can't even pronounce her name correctly. Who was it? That was on the promtor and they spelled it phonetically.

They were making sure that the emphasis was proper. I can't remember who it was. It was at the convention. And then somebody got a shot of the promtor. Like why is that?

But they put that up there phonetically. To make sure that he got her name right? And this guy gets it wrong. He doesn't even, he can't even pronounce her name correctly. It wants her to be president.

Wow. You know, it's, let's play because one of the things. One of the things is, uh, when you see it, you're like, that's the democratic party right? Yeah. No, that's it.

That's, that's it. That's it.

That's, that's how they get, those are people.

Yeah. That are as far as we know. Addled jubble to vote. Yeah. Let's hear from Scott Jennings on this.

Okay. Here we go. See in and over the weekend. These, these no kings rallies actually look pretty representative to me of the democratic coalition. I saw people flying the hammer in sickle in New York City.

I saw Hezbollah flags. I saw Hamas flags. I saw Palestinian flags. I saw trans signs. I see weirdo liberal boomers out there.

This is pretty representative of the democratic coalition. And that's who funds it as well, by the way. And so I think, I think, I think, if America looks at this and says, What are the two parties stand for? They got it.

>> No, I think if you're American, >> I'm out there. >> Yeah. >> We're out there. >> We're public and we're sick of it. >> You like him, we're sick of it.

>> That's not what that no king stood for. >> They had a bunch of them. >> And that is, I can't go somewhere. >> That's out there. >> That's not right.

>> Just tonight. >> No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Because it looks like a freak show. >> Yes. >> Because where is the,

where's the representation of the collective?

That's not, if it's not this freak show,

where is that common element of the collective that are there? Well, I know where it is. It's, it's the freak show itself. That's the only common element is that these individuals are clueless. >> Well, when they say we're losing democracy,

when they say that he's a king, by the way, Senator Harono, you need to get, you need to, you know,

you need to communicate with your fellow Democrats.

>> So, she came out and she goes Donald Trump,

he's not a king, he's never been a king.

He'll never be a king. >> And she thought it was like, and then conservative Republicans are going to serve it as a blessing. That's the point, yeah, we know that. >> That's the point we're trying to make.

>> Tell your side. >> Right, tell your side. It's just, but when you, when you have something where you say no kings and you say could you explain it to me? >> Well, because we're losing democracy,

and it's an authoritative government. How is it? Well, because Trump wants to do the things that he wants to do. Well, yeah, because he was elected by the people to do that.

>> Right. >> Did you know that your candidate, who would you vote for? >> Uh-huh. >> Komala.

>> Komala. >> Komala. >> You mean Komala?

>> You don't, you can't even pronounce

the name of the person that you wanted to vote for,

and that was a big thing, too. But you can't explain why he's authoritative or authoritarian. You can't explain, well, he's trying to put through executive orders that could overturn

what president doesn't. How come you weren't screaming and that Obama was a king or Biden was a king? Everybody, as I talked about on Friday, everybody, every president attempts

every president and every branch of government has tested the separation of powers. >> Oh, yeah. >> It's a thing that happens in there. We are still in a constitutional republic.

Nothing has changed. You know, the president on the tariffs, right? He had to go along with it. If he said I'm not going to go along with it, and I'm going to do what I want,

well, then you might have a point. But he can't do it. That's the whole thing of our system. It's not set up for a king. >> Right.

>> And then the best part was London. London, England was having a no kings protest. >> No. >> You've got a king. >> Right.

>> You promote the market, he's still. >> Very, very, very, very, very, very, very limited power. >> But still, you honor a monarchy. You honor the history of kings, and you have it in no kings protest.

>> Well, no, that's the whole thing. Is that it occurs to me every time this happens. What's this? Is this the third one? >> Second.

>> No, it might be the third.

>> I think I-- >> I think I was here, right?

>> Yeah, I think I read words, the third one.

>> The third one, okay. And I guess I didn't get the invite for any of them. But these are individuals who would have a royal wedding watching party. [ Laughter ] And then scream no kings.

But, you know, remember, in Obama's first term, especially the first couple of years. You had, remember the Obama song. Obama, Obama, Obama, Obama. And then, you know, the pledge stuff,

and all of this celebrities were pledging this to the guy, not their nation, not the country. They pledged to do all these things. Now that this guy was president. Not, hey, I'm an American.

I love this country, and I'm going to pledge to do these things. It wasn't that. It was a person. So tell me who's the king. >> We are right, I radio.

>> We'll be right back with more Red Eye Radio, with every currently, and Gary McNamara. [ Music ] [ Music ] >> We are what I radio.

He is our currently, and I'm Gary McNamara. >> Let's listen to this audio real quick from the No King's protest, because you're -- I'm trying to find out, or give me a specific issue that you're four, four. All right?

>> Right. >> Here we go. >> We stand in solidarity with our indigenous siblings,

Knowing that the U.

until the stewardship of this land is returned

to its indigenous peoples. [ Laughter ] >> Then why are you waving an American? Why is a huge American flag behind you? >> Right.

>> So your point is, the No King's rally

is about dissolving the United States as you're flying a United States flag. >> Exactly. >> Behind you. >> Right.

>> The one I like was the number of reporters as out there saying, you have a complete lack of diversity. There's a complete lack of diversity. It's all white. >> Yeah. >> In fact, I love the mean that I saw ice

has more diversity than no King's.

>> Yes. [ Music ] >> Not to be our news, is brought to you by HowProduct Visit HowProducts.com. >> This is Ridae Radio on Westwood One.

[ Music ] >> Now, it's Ridae Radio, Gary McNamara, and Eric Hurley talk about everything from Father Text to Social Issues and News of the Day,

whether you're up late or you're just starting your day.

Welcome to the show from the Relief Factor Studios. This is Ridae Radio. [ Music ] >> All across America, we are Ridae Radio on Gary McNamara. Along with Eric Hurley before we give any further,

you flew this weekend any problems. I did not have any problems. Thank you for asking Gary. I flew Thursday, flew out of DFW on Thursday morning early. And I got there at 5AM.

And I just want to compliment all the construction at DFW Airport. Or you just awesome. >> Oh, you haven't been there at all. >> No, no, no, I've been there.

It's just ongoing. I didn't have to fly out of the C terminal, but that's the worst right now. >> Yeah. >> I flew out of A.

>> I got it, but I got it back now.

>> And a body of mind that I've known since

grade school from Del Rio is a big part of that project. Now, he told me he goes, I don't even have to be on site because I'm running everything from here. So it's great. That he goes, but I've been out there, of course.

And it's awesome. So anyway, so I got there. I've seen it. It's going to be when it's complete. >> Right.

>> And 200 years, when I think the--

>> It's never going to be complete.

>> When we're not even using airplanes anymore, we're just beaming everywhere we go. But what will that TSA line be like? I got there, and again, two hours right at two hours before my flight, roughly an hour and a half before boarding.

I've seen longer lines, even early morning flights, I've seen longer lines in the summer. I've seen lines three times that long during summer travel. So that was no big deal. And then coming back from Louisville.

When I hit the ground in Louisville, when I-- I'm sorry, when we landed in Louisville. And I got off the plane and I was walking out of the secure area. I was like, wow, outbound out of Louisville Airport on the Thursday. There's just nobody there.

I mean, there's-- there was nobody in the line. I mean, four or five people were standing there, and that was it. And I thought, well, that's Thursday morning. We flew out Saturday afternoon to 30, 245 somewhere around there.

We got there at right around noonish. And the colleague of ours, she was TSA pre-check. I wasn't. I beat her through. There was nobody in line.

And I was at the middle American trucking show and it's the largest trucking trade show that there-- and it's been around for-- this is the 54th annual. And it's typically on a Saturday right about that time. You see a lot of people flying out from the trade show.

The trade show had great traffic. I mean, there was people there. A lot of people there, as per usual. But now, I just wonder, again, how many people changed their plans. There are a lot of companies that are regional that exhibit

at that show. I don't know if they decided to drive, just to run a car and drive. Just to be safe to make sure they were going to make it. Then make it home. I don't know.

But I'll tell you this. I had no issues whatsoever with TSA. But then again, I wasn't flying to Atlanta.

The one time I flew out of Atlanta was last summer

and the line was just insane.

And so the nice TSA agent right there at the beginning

when you go through, when you get your ID check, she goes, go through that one. She sent me through pre-check. There was nobody in line in pre-check. The other line was just insane.

I mean, it's Atlanta, but it was just insane. And that's where some, of course, the business airport, that's where it's going to be the worst with the recent situations. But she sent me through TSA pre-check. And I buzzed right through.

But I guess we'll see what happens. If we, you know, the president's executive order has an impact. The house and the Senate going back and forth while I was gone. And, you know, we'll see where it goes. I, the Democrats clearly aren't in a rush.

You know, I thought to myself when the Senate passed that the other day.

I thought, you know, was Schumer basically.

You know, well, we made, you know, we made progress here because, you know, we're not going to fund ice and do this already funded. And all that, and I thought, okay, they were just doing their show because it's time for them to go home for their two week break. And that's the criticism of Thune that I had.

It wasn't as much. I understood why they made that compromise because it was already funded and the goal was then do it through reconciliation and some of the Republican senators were talking about a, a ten year funding of it through reconciliation.

Of, well, ice, home and security, whatever. And I went, okay, and I was sinking to myself. I went, I wonder if Trump and the house are aboard on it. By the time I left here, no, it was about it when I got home. I had already seen some Republicans say, well, this is a no go.

And then they came up in the house. Then they came up with their two month patch. I don't think, and Thune was getting a ton of criticism. I, that's not where I criticized him where I criticized. Well, I didn't, I'm making some like it was past tense.

This is first time I've criticized, you know, publicly.

Is they, he should not have allowed them to leave town. Right. It should have been no, we're waiting for the house. Yeah. Until the president signs this, nobody goes anywhere.

Right. Until the president signs it, we're not going anywhere. Right. Because because they control the Senate, the Democrats can say, We're willing to negotiate.

They make the decision whether we stay or leave. Mm-hmm. And if Thune wanted to stay, and that's, I haven't heard a lot of criticism of that yet. But that's where they open the door. Uh, now again, if TSA's being paid, but TSA's being paid from what I know,

Secret Service and other areas of Homeland Security are not being paid.

And if this is about because Republicans are screaming, This is about national security and it is. Mm-hmm. Why the hell are you leaving town? Right.

Mm-hmm. You won't even keep Democrats in there day in and day out to pound on them. Because even, you know, when you, when you, when you see more more Democrats coming to it, no, our goal is to get rid of ice. We want to get rid of ice.

We want to get rid of a significant portion of the border patrol. What they're saying is, and this is where you, this is where you take the messaging. And I'm sorry. When you decide to go into this business, and you've got a bunch of people in the Opposition party that are bats who crazy, you let the public know it.

Yeah. We'll have to know kings are in a little bit. Yeah. But that's one thing no kings does. You know, all the local TV stations you and I were talking about.

You know, covering it, they're getting blasted on social media. Yeah. And then they interview people. And as I told you, I said, it's becoming a freak show. No, it is.

It's becoming, remember, remember the first year of the, the women's march.

Yeah. After after Trump was elected. And then the next year, where they couldn't decide what to do. Because we can't all wear pink hats because not all women have vaginas. Right.

And it's just, you know, it's got to be just a zoo. And then it's sort of disappeared.

It's becoming a freak show.

Well, then you keep in the Senate for this.

Keep the freak show going. Oh, yeah. You know, and I even saw we'll have some of the audio cuts. Even the Sunday morning news shows saying, no, you guys are the ones. What do you mean?

You're not going to fund ice at all. Right. You're saying nobody should be deported from inside the country. Even if they've committed a criminal act. You're saying sanctuary cities are correct.

It's a, it's not a winning argument for them. Sorry, you decided to take this job. And if it's about national security, you stay at damn work. Yep. Because if it's about national security.

And soldiers don't get the day off for the week off. And, you know, extended deployments. We know that happens all the time. If they're doing it, you cannot win this by standing. No, it's time for us to get our two week break.

We need to go back to our constituents. Well, this is the problem that they, it's, you know, this is,

Honestly, I really, because I was just starting my day.

And I woke up probably around five, four, four, four, thirty five Eastern on Friday, starting my day. And I was like, okay, and it was just breaking. And I was like, here we are. And this sounds like we're all we want to do is get out of town.

Let's just get this done and get it out of town. And, and with Schumer like, yeah, well, you know, we, we set our piece. And then, you know, waving goodbye locked, turning the lights out and walking away. And I thought to myself, this isn't a sure deal in this, in the house. In fact, I thought, I don't think this version is going to get through the house.

I was in that to myself. And then, of course, it didn't because we didn't know. And I talked about this on Friday. I'm thinking to myself, for them to come up with this deal. And I was looking for, said that the biggest shock is not that they came up with a, the Senate came up with a deal.

But it was two a.m. in the morning and Trump hadn't commented on true social. Go, that was the bigger breaking news that he had, that he had in commented, he had to, which means he was getting a few hours of sleep.

But I just assumed that they said, OK, here's what we're going to agree to.

The president's going to agree to it. We got the house leadership. We talked to the, the house conservatives. OK, the moderate conservatives. We talked to the moderate conservatives of the house.

And they said, OK, as long as we have the votes for reconciliation on a 10 year, let's, you know, in, in the Senate, well, then let's, let's do this.

Because remember, this is, this just funds to the end of the fiscal year, which is October.

Right. So we could be here again. And it's like, well, let's take that out of it. I figured that might have been their strategy. Let's take this out.

Let's, let's, let's get this, let's get this done. Now the reconciliation in the next month. And we'll fund it for 10 years. Therefore, we don't have to revisit this on, you know, come on to over. Right.

Right. Before the midterm elections. Right. You take this out of the way. You have it funded.

You take this away, you know, from, from the Democrats. And apparently, nobody was communicating with anybody else. They just side it then left town. That's the criticism for the Senate leadership of the Republicans, which goes directly at Thune.

They should have left town. Right. Exactly. Until you know, this is a done deal. And, you know, because I was waiting to see something like our colleagues in the house.

And, and, and, and all of us have been in communication. And we're confident this is going to pass the house. And we're confident by the end of the day. It will be at the president's desk. Right.

That's what I was waiting for. And I, as I'm reading all the coverage. And I was like, I didn't see a thing. It was like, and, okay, there hasn't been any communication. This was, oh, time for our two week break.

We got to go. Well, and I was expecting to see the stories.

That's why I was on, on when you were gone Thursday night Friday morning.

Right. Which was a little bit later because I was waiting for that.

Right. I was wrong. Yeah. You know, I was, you know, there.

Yeah.

And so.

And again, I was wrong on speculation, which is, you know, you're just assume it's going in one particular way.

And you make assumptions with the Republicans that they have to be doing this.

They're not going to get something that they know are going to pass and then leave town. Not when they're they're the ones promoting that we're putting American lives at danger by not funding these things. And then you don't get the ability to go, well, we're on a two week. We're, you know, we have to need to get back to our constituents. No, you don't.

No. No. Yeah, there was so much that was missing from that breaking news as it was breaking from the Senate side. I thought, no, this isn't over. This is far from over.

And of course, it is. By the way, one word, one more word to add to all this. When we're talking about national security and this kind of ridiculous behavior. Iran. The fact that the Democrats are sitting on this.

And we have no idea again, proxies on American soil. We have no idea. As civilians. What the dangers might be, they don't care about national security. The Democrats don't care at all.

That's my point about the Republican leadership by not staying in. Yeah. They've taken the same. Well, yeah, they're now susceptible to the same criticism. You, the Democrats.

Your two week break is more important. Right.

When we're getting to clearly a critical point with Iran.

Yeah. So you give up the political edge that you had here. Yes. Yeah. Have a nice break.

We are Red Eye Radio. Brought to you by Hot Shot Secret. Hi. I'm Jen Lumis, a transport safety expert at JJ Keller.

In order to manage speed, you need to understand the four factors involved in stopping a vehicle.

Perception distance is the distance of vehicle travels from the time you see a hazard until your brain recognizes it.

This tip was brought to you by JJ Keller and Associates. Visit us at JJ Keller.com. Here we are at Red Eye Radio. He is currently in I'm Jerry MacMamera. Hey, if you miss some of the no-king's protests over the weekend, you miss this. All right, here we go. You're looking at the crowd. They're not even moving. It's not like they're cheering or anything.

It's like, stop it for God's sake. You're hurting my ear, don't you, Bruce? Like, Bruce Springsteen. There's old guy that's up there screaming with a good time with this. When was this?

I don't know. They call him the boss. Is he the boss of us? Or was he supposed to listen to what he says? That's just, I'll be there. And then this one became public, a Jane Fonda and Bruce Springsteen.

Here we go. All right, all right. That's where we are. Guess who's here. No kids.

Do it. Yay, thing. Yay, cause. That was the thing. Go, guess who's here is, by the way.

Guess where we are. She's actually, she's gotten to the age where somebody has to tell her where she is. Guess where we are. Somebody tell me where I'm. Guess who's here.

What's my name again? It's, it's become a modern day. It's rich show. It's such, it's a parody of itself.

You know, I think one, there's a number of things.

But one of the funniest things is when they're like, we're, we're sick and tired of not being heard. We want to be heard. Nobody's going to keep us from being heard. Nobody's keeping them from being heard. Yeah, in fact, you've got so many conservatives on social media and Republicans wanting

You wanting to interview.

They want to know what you have to say because it's a freak show.

Yes. That's what it's become. Oh, yeah.

And Republicans against service don't take it seriously.

The local media did around here, around here, around here. Then they start talking to people. And you have no idea what they want. Right. Yeah, all of them.

It's just amazing. You're just a Jew that I read from the relief factor studio. And he is our colony. And I'm Gary McNamara. Welcome.

All right. I'm looking here just to want to make sure we correct this here. The Senate is out of session. But because this is just relating before. But a pro form a session.

Is a brief meeting of the senator house. Only last few minutes where no legislative business is conducted in no votes are taken. These sessions allow the chamber to fulfill legal requirements while most members are away on on recess. Because here I saw this fox story Eric that said the DHS funding drama heads back to the Senate on Monday morning. After the house approved a two month stop gets spending bill.

I saw the story and I told you that for the break. I go did he call them back and I didn't hear about it. No, they did not. No, no. The Senate meets Monday at 10 30.

It's a pro form a session in what's supposed to be a brief. Again, it's pro form a session where the body simply gables in and gables out with the skeleton crew on hand. Yeah, but that might not what that might not be what happens on Monday as soon as the Senate gets through the prayer and pledge. It's likely a Republican senator seeks recognition from the chair if that happens. We anticipate that the GOP senator would ask for unanimous consent.

Meaning all 100 senators would agree to take up the DHS bill passed by the House on Friday and then it'd be ready third time and pass.

I don't know how you can do that outside of them not being there.

The House, the chair will then ask if there's any objection if any Senator be they Democrat or Republican, I guess they'd be what?

Listening or whatever objects the bill the House bill is dead. That means the House and Senate would be continue to be out of alignment on the DHS funding. For instance, the House didn't even consider the bill cleared by all 100 senators and passed by the Senate at 2 19 AM Friday. The House simply wrote their own two month interim bill passed past it on Friday night and then left town if there's no objection. The House and Senate are aligned and will have passed the same bill that means around the same page.

I don't see that happening. Yeah, approval of the House bill by the Senate would end the DHS shutdown, but if there's an objection everything remains frozen. So there you go. Yeah, we'll see what happens there. But just to correct for because I was confused for a second. What do you mean, yeah, they did adjourned. So that's, you know, the Gavalan Gaval back out, but it's the question is is there an expectation that anything will get done.

I haven't seen anywhere that there is.

No, could could come as a surprise, but again, I don't see that happening.

Now that no king's protests, you all you saw were Republicans and conservatives highly entertained by this. Yeah. And by the the American public that you see, the Republican slash conservative populist influencers that pretended that they were part of it and I would walk in the parade. Yeah, and be carrying a sign and the one side of the sign, you know, was like we're here for no kings and turn around and it's an insult, you know, they and they keep flipping it or I mean it was just right. Oh, my gosh, it was just, you know, but this is, I want to give you a perfect example, because I think this is the most perfect example of a liberal today on the no kings protest. Now we've talked about this for such a long time that it doesn't Democrats and liberals don't even make sense anymore.

It's not like we object to the policy of the president. It's to come up with a scenario that does not exist and promoted as if it does exist right.

And when you see a democratic party that number one, you remember the blue states that attempted to take Trump off the ballot and we're doing so unconstitutionally and had to be shut down by the Supreme Court on that. Remember that remember.

Kamala Harris not one Democrat got to go to the polls to vote for Kamala Harris in the primary not one. And so when you hear no kings, when you hear, we wish to bring back democracy anybody who was paying any attention to the Democrat party knows that it's simply projection. They're throwing at the other party what they've been doing, but here's this guy who has got orange stuff on his face. All right, look like he died his hair wearing a crown, but then he's he's in a sleeveless shirt.

He's got some kind of tattoo and you can see his flabby upper arms.

Was that too much information? Yeah, probably. Yeah, but here here we go with the report. Listen to this. All right, here we go. Would you like J.D. Vance to be the president? No, but not. Oh, yeah. Oh, it not. Okay, it would you like to be the president. Kamala Harris right now I was she didn't win, but can I point out something that we say no kings and no authoritarianism, but Kamala Harris. No one voted for her. Yes, they did have to country vote for her. So no one was voted for her to be the nominee.

Isn't that what like authoritarian you're going to the wrong road right now with me? I wouldn't go any further. What what does that mean? I'm not going to talk to you anymore. That's what it means. I just think it's ironic that no one voted for her to be the nominee. They just selected her like it can get selected, right? Keep with yourself. Okay. Bye. Have a good day. A guy who's shouting at a protest once someone else to keep their opinion to themselves. Somebody who's saying that they're being censored is attempting to say Kamala it's Kamala.

Remember that? Remember that? Remember that? Remember that? They can't even pronounce her name correctly.

Who was it that was that was on the prompter and they spelled it phonetically. They were making sure that the emphasis was proper. Was it Pritzker? I can't remember who it was. Was that the convention? And then somebody got a shot of the prompter. Like why is that? But they put that up there phonetically to make sure that he got her name right? And this guy gets it wrong. He doesn't even he can't even pronounce her name correctly.

It wants her to be president. Wow. You know, it's let's play because one of the things, one of the things is when you see it, you're like, that's the democratic party right?

Yeah. No, that's it. That's that's that's that's that's how they get those are people.

Yeah. That are as far as we know. So, averageable to vote. Let's hear from Scott Jennings on this. Okay. Here we go. See in and over the weekend. All right. Well, these these no kings rallies actually look pretty representative to me of the democratic coalition.

And so I think I think I think if America looks at this and says, what are the two parties stand for?

They got it. If they're no kings. No, I think if you are a mayor and put her out there. Yeah, they're the public. You like him. We're sickle. You like him. We're sickle. That's not what that no king stood for.

They had a bunch of them and that it comes somewhere out there. All right. I just deny it because it looks like a freak show. Yes. You know, because where is the.

Where's the representation of the collective if that's not if it's not this freak show. Where is that common element of the collective that are there. Well, I know where it is. It's the freak show itself. That's the only common element is that these individuals are clueless. Well, when they say we're losing democracy, when they say that he's a king.

By the way, Senator Harono, you need to get. You need to, you know, you need to communicate with your fellow Democrats.

So she came out and she goes Donald Trump. He's not a king. He's never been a king.

He'll never be a king. And she thought it was like, and then conservative Republicans against him. It was a blessing of that's the point. Yeah. We know that's the point. We're trying to make tell your side.

Right. Tell your side. I mean, it was just.

But when you when you have something when you say no kings and you say could you explain it to me?

Well, because we're losing democracy and it's an authoritative. authoritative government, how is it? Well, because Trump wants to do the things that he wants to do. Well, yeah, because he was elected by the people to do that. Did you know that your candidate, who would you vote for?

Komala. Yes. Komala. Komala. You mean, Kamala?

You don't, you can't even pronounce the name of the person that you wanted to vote for. And that was a big thing, too. But you can't explain why he's authoritative or authoritarian. You can't explain. Well, he's trying to put through executive orders.

It could overturn what president doesn't. How come you weren't screaming then that Obama was a king or Biden was a king? Everybody is I talked about on Friday. Everybody, everybody president attempts every president and every branch of government has tested the separation of powers. Oh, yeah.

It's a thing that happens in there. We are still in, we are still in a constitutional republic. Nothing has changed. You know, the president on the tariffs, right? He had to go along with it.

If he said I'm not going to go along with it, I'm going to do what I want. Well, then you might have a point. But he can't do it. That's the whole thing of our system. It's not set up for a king.

Right. And then the best part was London. London, England was having a no kings protest. No. You've got a king.

Right. You promote the market. He's still. Yeah. Very, very, very, very, very, very limited power.

But still you honor a monarchy. You honor the history of kings. And you have it in no kings protest. Well, no, you know, this and that, that's the whole thing is that it occurs to me every time this happens. What's this?

It's just the third one. Second.

No, it might be the third.

I think I think I. I think I. Right. Yeah. I think I read words.

The third one. Okay. And I guess I didn't get the invite for any of them. But these are individuals who would have a royal wedding watching party. And then scream no kings.

But, you know, remember in Obama's first term, especially the first couple of years.

You had. Remember the Obama song. Obama. Obama. It was that.

And then, you know, the pledge stuff and all of this celebrities. We're pledging this to the guy. Not their nation, not the country. They pledged to do all these things. Now that this this guy was president.

Not.

Hey, I'm an American. I love this country.

And I'm going to pledge to do these things.

It wasn't that. It was a person.

So tell me who who's the king.

We are right. I radio. We'll be right back with more. Red I radio with every currently. And Gary McNamara.

[Music] We are what I radio. He is a currently and I'm hearing McNamara. Let's listen to this audio real quick from the no king's protest.

Because you're I'm trying to find out or give me a specific issue that you're four four.

All right, right, here we go. We stand in solidarity with our indigenous siblings.

Knowing that the US will never be free until the stewardship of this land is returned to its indigenous peoples.

Then why are you waving an American? Why is a huge American flag behind you? Right. So your point is your the no king's rally is about dissolving the United States as your line of United States flag.

The one I like was the number of reporters asked out there saying you have a complete lack of diversity. There's a complete lack of diversity. It's all white. In fact, I love the meme that I saw ice has more diversity than no king. Yes.
