Now, it's Red Eye Radio, Gary McNamara, and Eric Hurley talk about everything from
“politics to social issues and news of the day, whether you're up late or you're just starting”
your day. Welcome to the show from the Relief Factor Studios. This is Red Eye Radio. All across the country we are, I'm Eric Hurley, Gary McNamara has the morning off. You're listening to Red Eye Radio. How are you? Happy Monday. Happy Blockade Monday. Can we call it Blockade Monday? Now, we'll get into that here. And just a few minutes
says the talks with Iran, and it's long about broke down over the weekend, basically didn't
get to the point of what they wanted. What the administration wanted from Iran is the president is stated a few times. And we'll hear some of that audio coming up that he's looking for them
“to have no news, developing no news. And I really believe this is tied to and I didn't hear him.”
He may have said it, but I did not hear him say at any point that we need to have the enriched uranium that they have. They're stockpile in our hands. We need to have possession of that. That needs to be turned over. But I assume that's the basis of everything. There are a couple of things there that we can go through and we'll, again, hear some audio from the president as he was very active over the weekend is on Sunday morning futures with
Maria Bartiromo talking about that Vice President Vance talking about that as he was sent there. And an interesting take from the editorial board at the Wall Street Journal about why it was important
“for White was a good idea for Trump to send J.D. Vance the Vice President to be a part of those”
negotiations that we'll talk. We'll get into that. So many things to unpack. We hope you have a good weekend. Gary did not have the greatest weekend. He's not feeling well. But he did. He was able to attend his dad's 100th birthday celebration but returned home with some kind of stomach flu or something. And he's under the weather and he will be back soon. It's very rare that he misses because I only allow him to miss one day per year. So this is it. So Gary get over it. Walk it off. But
and I also happen to know that the master's was wrapping up on Sunday. Hmm. Coincidence? Yeah, probably. But no, Gary will be here. And as soon as possible when he's feeling better, that's the worst. You know, it's the worst. And when your stomach's not great, I mean, I can live with a headache and I have with headaches for, you know, on and off for years. Everybody does. I can deal with a headache. But man, when your stomach's not right. But it's, uh, but hopefully
he'll be back very soon. And so feel better, Gary. And again, happy 100th to his father. 100 years. Think about that. You think about what everything that his father has been alive to see. My father next month will be 93. God willing. And mom turned just, uh, this last week, she turned 88. So far, my mom is the, uh, has lived to the oldest age and her family. She has one younger sibling. But so far, uh, she has had a longer life than even her parents.
And it, it's, uh, it's interesting when you think about what all they've lived, uh, my mom and dad both born during the Great Depression. Uh, Gary's dad, uh, John McNamara. Of course, uh, born, uh, just before the Great Depression and was probably old enough, uh, in his case, uh, to be very aware of of what was going on economically. I try and think of myself at at the age of three or four. And at the age of four, my dad went over to the Vietnam conflict.
And my mom just told us as kids. I'm, I'm the, I'm the second youngest, uh, the youngest of four
boys, and then I have a younger sister. And when my dad was going over, my mom just said he was
Going overseas.
was the name of another country. But I just, as a kid, you're not, uh, you're, I don't know if
mom and dad actively shielded us from it, or we just weren't interested in sitting down and watching the news, uh, probably a combination of both. Um, but you think about all the things that you're aware of. So if you go back and for those generations, uh, that have been on the earth, uh, for, wow, 100 years in the case of Mr. McNamara, uh, you think about that. And you also think about longevity, right, life longevity. And it seems like every day, there is something in my Google feed that
“this multivitamin, or this vitamin, or this supplement could be the key to living to, you know,”
whatever it is, 100 years, or living a longer life and everything else. And of course, I think uh, taking care of yourself is critically important. There's no, no doubt. You don't have to be a scientist to know that. But also, I think the mindset of of being as active as you, as you can be, uh, for those of us who have parents who have dementia, who see it on a regular basis, you understand, how much it robs of, of them, even though physically they may be okay, uh, right now, mentally,
there is a lot of confusion and frustration. But the, I think, generally speaking, living to a long age, I think is the, um, the power of intent, right, that the, the, we,
“as humans kind of need to look forward to something. But I have conversations with my dad over the”
phone, we talk about, okay, dad, I'm coming up to see it. In fact, I'm going to be going up there. We didn't get up through this past weekend, uh, for my mom's birthday, we're going to have that actually coming up this weekend. And so I've talked to my dad a couple of times, it's spring time, we're going to do some things around as yard, uh, I've trimmed trees, do whatever I can, things he can no longer do. And, but when we do that, when we have those conversations
about, okay, let's plan to do this and I'll bring this equipment and, and do this on my next visit
in the next week or two. You're basically giving them, or all of us, something to look forward to.
“And I think that's the key, uh, unfortunately with dementia, uh, that is, that is lost.”
But as Gary has mentioned, and he's talked about his father's cognitive issues here in the last couple of years, uh, there are moments of clarity. And I think that comes from those moments of clarity come from that power of intent. That strong mind is father is an engineer. He has an engineer's mind. My father was a military police officer. He has an investigative mind. But even beyond that, having a strong mind, I know with my mother-in-law, uh, she can do just about anything.
She put a mind to when, you know, during during her younger years. And she always had that power of intent.
I, I told my wife, I think she might, outlive all of us because of that power of intent that she has, even though her cognitive issues are advanced. Um, every day she gets up and, and she just has that mindset that I want to do this. And she's in a great care facility. And, and, and I can't say enough about enough good things about those professional care takers and the non-professional care takers, the family members and friends and neighbors, uh, that are a part of that entire
effort, uh, whether it's in a care facility or, or, or in their own home. My parents are both still in their own home and have visiting nurses. And, and also, uh, two of my siblings live, very close. So, I feel very fortunate. I know Gary has said that many times how he feels fortunate to have his, his, his father around for so long, his mother who passed away in 2020, uh, again, uh, she was around for many years of his life. And, and not everybody,
Is as fortunate.
gratitude on this program. We talk about joy because I've made the joke. Actually, it's not really
“a joke. I'm only halfway joking. When we listen to liberals especially in some of the audio”
that, that, uh, we play on this program, it seems as if these people have never experienced joy.
And the younger generations that you see screaming on, on TikTok are these liberal activists that are just screaming and seem so angry. I just wonder, my gosh, first of all, that's through indoctrination. That's a learned behavior. There are people that have instilled this that have planted this stuff in their minds, likely from a young age. And that is the danger of indoctrination because it, it has them living in that fear, which brings that anger about.
It's more than just disagreeing with the political opposition or or another agenda. It goes beyond that.
“It, it is a, a true anger that I, I think runs deep in, in people's minds.”
But I think that's another part of it, too, in terms of if we get back to talking about longevity and lifelong Jeopardy. And that is being positive as positive as you can be. Now,
I'm the first to tell you we're doomed because we're doomed. But these are choices that we have made
as a society, all these political choices that we have made that allowed us as a nation to get to this point of 38 trillion and growing in national debt. And all of these issues that govern our lives that cost way, way, way too much. They rob the American people of wealth and opportunity at every turn. And, and all of these choices that we make every single day in far too many cases are are over-controlling and and again, really stifle the economy, really stifle people's lives,
“the the opportunity. And so I think those that have that attitude that have that power of”
and sense and that positive attitude are the ones that can overcome all of that and then go on to
succeed, whatever success means in their mind. So again, happy 100th birthday to John McNamara. Happy 88th to my mom, Mary. And we hope we hope everyone is going to enjoy a very, very long life. Again, Gary will be back with us soon. A number of things to talk about from the weekend. We saw the inflation numbers that came out on Friday. It wasn't great, but also it was expected. You see consumer inflation now up 3.3% in the last year that's year over year.
The CPI that excludes volatile energy and food prices, you know, energy and food, the things you need the most. Rose 0.2% in March and was up 2.6% year over year. But if you look at it again, the market had kind of priced this in. We're talking about the energy prices, which made which was really responsible for most of that increase. That's to be expected when we're going to what we're going through with the ramp. And question is, how long will we go through that? We'll break down
more of those inflation numbers. I'm sure Gary will get into that when he returns. But the question now is as oil is well over $100 a barrel again. Let's check the current price. Right now, let's see. We're looking at $104 and change per barrel. So a lot of that comes from the announcement that there's going to, that from the president that there's going to be a blockade in the straight of Formus. And how is that the, there was a, okay, here we are. The Trump blockades, the blockators
in Iran at the editorial board at the Wall Street Journal. So the question is, how long can politically can you choke out Iran? Because you're blocking the movement of everything in the straight. And if the idea would to be choke Iran out economically. So they can't get their oil sold to
Any other part of the world.
here at home, which is gas prices, which by the way, also adds to the food prices. We must remember,
“we have a long association with the trucking industry that those, those items that we need and want”
on the shelf don't get there magically. If they do, then the magicians are truck drivers and David Blaine has nothing on them. But it isn't magic. It's hard work. It gets it there. But part of that supply chain effect is fuel surcharges, which in a volatile situation, like we've seen, since this thing with Iran started, is really hard for a lot of these trucking companies.
Because if they don't set their fuel surcharge, basically, that's the charge that they are
passing on to the shipper. If they don't set that at the proper rate, they book the load, they set their fuel surcharge based on that load, and then all of a sudden prices spike, then they're going to lose money too. And they're going to have to recoup that in some way. But there's a lot of pain in that. Because again, the effects on the economy overall, we need those trucks to deliver that food and all the other items that they deliver.
Whatever you've got, it's been on a truck at some point. And the cost of energy is going to affect those prices as well. So we're going to have to keep that in mind as things go go on. Now the question is, how long can this block aid last? And politically, what does it look like? How does it change the numbers for the president, for the GOP, and more? We've got a lot to unpack and got some audio from the president over the weekend. We'll hear some of that and more. And you can
“join us. And 866-90, what if you want to get in? Brought to you by Hot Shot Secret. Hi, I'm Jen Lumis,”
a transport safety expert at JJ Keller. When driving, you need to manage the space around your vehicle so that there's enough space to allow you to adjust when traffic conditions change. The space
ahead of your vehicle is the most important. One rule of thumb is to allow at least one second
for each 10 feet of vehicle length at speeds below 40 miles per hour. At greater speeds, add an additional second. It's impossible to keep other drivers from tailgating you, but there are some things you can do to make it safer, such as increasing your following distance, avoiding quick lane changes, and slowing down. There are also several things you should do to ensure that there is plenty of space between the side of your vehicle and other vehicles. Don't hug the
center line and avoid traveling alongside other vehicles in strong winds. This tip was brought to you by JJ Keller and Associates. Visit us at JJ Keller.com. You're listening to Red Eye Radio. I'm Eric Hartle, Gary McNamara, has the morning office back soon. All right, so over the weekend, the talks and Islamabad didn't go as well as they had hoped. I don't know that anybody expected them to get any kind of full measure out of a
“ran. The full measure would be hand over the enriched uranium. That's honestly, that's it.”
Until the U.S. has possession of the enriched uranium stockpile that Iran has, then this is an
hope. Then you start mixing in the stories over the weekend. I think CNN was one of the first
to have it about China, possibly sending weapons to these would be shoulder-fired missiles to Iran and the President's saying, "Well, they better not." And he's saying, "Well, and one interview is said, "I don't think they are, but we'll hear from the President over the weekend on all these items and more coming up." It's thanks to a stockclass for the cooling, by exchange quality and the net-resistant price
hand in hand. So, for example, the Gapen Touch Gapen Hand schonen was only 70 cents, or at a low-top at the time, but even 70 cents. And here, now, all of the products in our region and in the exchange, exchange, small prices, so far. Hey there, I'm Paula Pan. I help people make

You're listening to Red Eye Radio, from the Red Leaf Factor Studios. I'm Eric Carly, Gary McNamara, has the morning off. Happy Monday. I hope you're having a good day. It's going to be a very interesting Monday as the President announcing a blockade. He's
a blockade as the Wall Street Journal put it. We're blockading the blockators in the state of Horde Moose energy prices already on the rise as a result of that. And so, we're going to, in fact, be dealing with that for at least I'm guessing a short period. I don't know how far the President politically can get away with doing that. But we'll hear from the President in just a moment, to stand by for that. You know, when it comes to supplements, there are
two things that matter the most that it works and you can trust it. I'm very choosey about which
“supplements I will endorse on this program. And when it comes to relief factor, I believe in it”
wholeheartedly it is working for me. I know you've heard other radio hosts that have been endorsing it. In fact, for over a decade, because it works. Before relief factor, you know, the eggs and pains of growing old and I used to be a runner and everything, it just took its toll and I felt like I really had to plan my day carefully based around my pain. That is no longer the case with pain with my friends from relief factor. And my pain is not at near what it was. And I love the fact that it is
drug free. It goes to the source of the inflammation for key ingredients, a go to the source of the inflammation and go to work for you. I take it every day. I want you to take it every day. Use red eye in the drop down for your three week quick start at 1995. All right. So the president over the weekend talking about
what is going on with Iran. And he had this to say, in fact, over the weekend, he was on Sunday
morning futures with Maria Bartiroma. And had this to say about Iran and where we are basically
are we still bargaining? For years, I've had a listen to them say death to America, right? They say death to America, death to Israel, America to the Satan, we will destroy America, death to America.
“Now, does anybody ever complain to you when they say that? I think that's a big step worse,”
death to America. So they're allowed to say death to America. And what I'm referring to is when when I talk about civilization, it'll be much different because their military will be totally gone. It's pretty much gone now. But their military, look at their leadership. We have had regime change because the people we dealt with yesterday were frankly very smart, very sharp, very good, very good. I think that we're smarter than the people from before,
remaining in that group. It's look what, look what it got them. Look what they're all of their antics, we're spending 3 years of their spent all their money on weapons. We've destroyed most of those weapons. But, you know, when I say about a civilization, it really has changed. It really has, but think of it. They're allowed to say death to America, death to this death, and I make one statement, they say, oh, such a big deal. Let me tell you, that's statement got them to
the bargaining table. And they haven't left. They haven't left the bargaining table. I predict they come back and they give us everything we want. And I tell my people, I want everything.
I don't want 90 percent, I don't want 95 percent. I told them, I want everything.
Well, and what they want? They have no cards, Maria, Maria. Yep. They have no cards. Their Navy is gone. Their Air Force is gone. Totally gone. They have nothing. They have no ships. A hundred and fifty-eight ships are at the bottom of the sea. Good ones. Good ones. New. The Salamanis. They had one goal. The Salamanis. He was taken out by one of our tiger sharks,
By one of our rapid, rapidly moving submarines.
morning futures with Maria Barteromio. And I think there are a couple of things there to take from it.
“And the Wall Street Journal actually made a good point in breaking it down about,”
all right, is a blockade, a good idea, a bad idea. Actually, you're going to have to choke around out at some point. That's the next move. What you saw over the weekend is this extension of diplomacy. I don't think anyone expected Iran to show up. I know I didn't. I don't know of anyone who did. To show up to the table and say, all right, we're handing over our stock pile of enriched uranium.
Because that would be the next big step in terms of we're giving up our nuclear weapons
ambitions. That would be it. So the question then is, all right, what do you do about it? Well, this diplomacy that the president, by the way, is part of his M.O. I mean, he sat down with Kim Jong-un.
“And all of that I believe that that time during his first term was to show the world that”
if there was going to, if a preemptive strike on North Korea in that case was going to be required, that the president had done his due diligence on diplomacy. And I think that's he sent Pompeo over. In fact, it was learned later that Pompeo had had gone over to talk with Kim Jong-un and sat down with him on an Easter Sunday morning, believe it or not. And I believe that Pompeo just looked at it and said, we have great intel. We know
and we would rather not go to war, but we can if we need to. And then that was the beginning of these conversations with Kim Jong-un. And you are exercising diplomacy to the end degree. But not to the point of, like in the case of Iran, with former President Obama just handing over funds, allowing them to get away with it and then his VP, when he became president, President Biden, just allowing Iran to, again, lifting the sanctions, allowing them to sell oil on the
“markets and bring in tens of billions of dollars in order to fund terrorism that I believe was”
responsible for funding October 7th. I believe that was a big part of them being able to fund October 7th and other attacks. So we know that the will of Iran is still there. What we don't know, and it's likely intel knows something, but we don't know who's left of the regime. The hardliners, they're still enough of them right now in place to keep the people, the subjects, they're not citizens, they're subjects at bay and to not have an overthrow.
And so you're looking at a situation now where you have gone through this act of diplomacy, will it continue? I don't know. The Wall Street Journal also making another interesting point by the editorial board that it was a good thing to have Vice President Vance sent over, because what you're showing your enemy in that case is there's unity within the administration. There have been stories about whether or not J.D. Vance supported the efforts and if he was all in
or not, and you sent him over as a part of that entourage to negotiate. And that will be again, we'll see if they are still at the table as the President told Maria Bartiroma. I don't know if that's the case. But then the question is if you're going through this exercise of trying to extend diplomacy to the end, what is the next step when that is exhausted? And where do you
make that judgment call? This is why I would never want to be President. But at some point,
you've got to make a decision if it is believed that we can go in and get that enriched, uranium this story goes back weeks now, that there was a plan that was being considered to have boots on the ground, go in, take the enriched uranium, it's being stored at two different sites. And extract that, the uranium is stored in these canisters that kind of look like scuba tanks,
Of course it must be handled in a very specific way, and it's going to take t...
a number of trucks to get it out of a ran. That's a much different situation, especially if a lot of it is buried under rubble. Because we would have to get in there and get it under that rubble in quick fashion, a ran has more time because it's their real estate to dig through that rubble and get that enriched uranium over time themselves. What that would take, we don't know.
“But they still have it. It's still in their possession. And that is something I think the”
president is focused on right now, and it has to be. There was no specific conversation about whether
or not the uranium was a key point of it, but I'm positive that during the discussions
in Islamabad, that was definitely what they were talking about. Any promise from whatever the remnants of the regime are, any hardliners that are left, that no, no, no, no. We won't seek new weapons, and this is only for power, of course, is not to be trusted at all. Zero percent trust is to be put into that. Speaking of trust, reports over the past couple of days that China is preparing to ship weapons to Iran. And the president, in fact, in his conversation
with Maria Bartiromo, let's hear this audio, Ron, talked about that because China's saying,
"Oh, no, no, no, no, we would never do that." Of course, we all believe China, take them at the
word, right? But here's what the president had to say that on, say about that, on Sunday morning futures with Maria Bartiromo on Fox News. You said the other day that any country that supports Iran and sends military equipment to Iran will face a 50 percent tariff if they try to be products. Did you return to China? Did you mean China? Yes, and other people, but yes, China did. Okay. If we find that China, because I hear news reports, so a news report doesn't mean much
to me, because they're so fake. But I hear news reports about China giving the shoulder missiles, what's called the shoulder missile, anti-accraft missile. I doubt they would do that,
“because I have a relationship, and I think they wouldn't do that, but maybe they did a little”
bit at the beginning, but I don't think they wouldn't even know. But if we catch them doing that,
I think at a 50 percent tariff, which is a staggering amount. So, all right. So here's what you have.
I believe that China and Russia have been assisting, I have no basis for this belief, but only the relationships that Russia and China have with Iran. I believe it's safe, at least a strong theory, a viable theory, that China has been, and Russia has been helping the Iranians through backdoor channels. And I think they've been doing that with likely with Intel at first. There were a couple of team moments in the initial attacks on Iran that
to me like they had Iran had assistance on the Intel. There was no way that they were aware of that they just don't have that kind of superior Intel. Russia's Intel may not be the best, but it's better than Iran's, and China also has some pretty good Intel. And I've suspected that they were helping in those ways. If we're talking about China sending these shoulder missiles, these anti-aircraft missiles and selling them, the reports that came out over the weekend,
there were a couple of different variances in the report, but it basically was saying that Beijing was allowing some to sell, I don't know, who those some are, some to sell those two Iran. Some, they were basically assisting Iran. Now China came out officially and said, no, no, no.
“We're not doing that. In fact, what was the quote? I think I've got that quote highlighted here,”
where they said, no, no, no. We're, we're not doing that. And basically that the US shouldn't engage in disinformation. Again, that's China saying the US shouldn't engage in disinformation. That's kind of rich. So again, not to be trusted at all. We'll find out soon enough, if that is the case because I believe American Intel, and I believe it's really Intel, we'll certainly know right away
If that is happening.
we control for the most part of the airspace over Iran, if that starts to change, we'll know
something has changed. Where there's more coming up, a lot more to unpack from the weekend, 86690 Rabbi. We'll be right back with more red eye radio with every currently and Gary McNamara. You're listening to Red eye radio. I'm there, Charlie Gary McNamara. Gary McNamara has the morning off. Gary McNamoring. Oh, we might have to change his name. He's not feeling well, but he'll be back soon. He did have a big weekend traveling this year's father for his
hundredth birthday and came back with a stomach buck, but he is hopefully on the mandum will see
“him soon. And if you want to get in, that's simple. 86690. Red eye.”
Top of the hour news is brought to you by how product is at how products.com. This is Red eye radio on Westwood One. Now, it's Red eye radio. Gary McNamara and Eric Hurley talk about everything from politics to social issues and news of the day. Whether you're up late or you're just starting your day, welcome to the show from the relief factor studios. This is Red Eye Radio.
All across America, we are. I'm Eric Hurley. He's Gary McNamara. He has the morning off. It's
“rare. It's not feeling well. So we allow him one day a year and this is it. He's burning it today,”
but no, he's not feeling well. And he certainly earns to take any time off that he needs to.
Because he never calls in sick. In fact, I was having that conversation
in earlier before the show with our producer Alan, the Gary. If Gary's not here because he's sick, Gary's sick. If Eric's out, you might be sick. But no, I don't, I'll tell you this. I know we both hate being off work, not being here. When I'm sick, I feel like I'm missing out on something. When I'm sick and can't make it to work. I feel like I'm missing out on something. And that's just what this little thing of ours has become. It sounds like we're in the mafia.
“You know, this little thing of ours, you know, that's what has become. You know, you've got to show”
up. We've got to know what we do. You know, talk about the liberals. What not? But it's, it really is, it's my hobby. Instead sad or is that good? I don't know. I don't have any other hobbies. I do play because I do play instruments, but this is what I love doing. This is where my passion is. And I know the same is for Gary. And we both hate it when we have to be off for any, any reason. And so we're certainly looking forward to his return, which will be soon.
I'll tell you who's not going to be the future of the Democratic Party. And that's Eric Swallow. Gee. All right. So these accusations of all these allegations going on that had about, wow, sexual misconduct, sexual harassment, it really started hitting over the weekend. And I thought,
well, this is interesting. And people always ask the question, well, why does this happen? Why didn't
this happen before? If it, if these victims were out there, why didn't they say anything before they ran for, in this case, Governor of California, Eric Swallow was up until yesterday, running for Governor of California. He says the allegations are in true, but at the same time, over the weekend, he was apologizing. And in fact, here's his post from ex yesterday evening.
This was, this is, yeah, this is yesterday, Sunday.
This is Eric Swallow. To my family, staff, friends, and supporters, I am deeply sorry for mistakes in judgment. I've made in my past. I will fight the serious false allegations that have been made, but that's my fight not a campaign. Okay. So over the weekend, as the stories came out, there were serious allegations made against Swallow. And you saw people, in fact, from his own party, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, calling for Swallow, step aside in the governor's race.
“The question is, how much longer will he last in his current office? And I think that remains to be”
seen, but there's pressure from his own party. You certainly don't want that to be the focus of the California Governor Torio campaign, any campaign. But when we're talking about running for governor, there's a big, there's a big thing, you know, there's so many, there's so many issues that you have. And again, if you're going to become the replacement for Gavin Newsom, it's going to, you're going to have to make sure that you don't have this kind of
baggage of these kind of accusations, these are very serious accusations against you. So when you break
“down what Swallow posted in the middle of his post to my family, staff, friends, and supporters,”
I'm deeply sorry for mistakes and judgment I've made in my past. But again, he goes on to, say he's going to fight the serious false allegations that have been made. Well, let's get back to
that first part. What are you apologizing for? So you see the, the allegations again,
the San Francisco Chronicle on Friday, detailed graphic accounts from a woman accusing Swallow a pursuing intoxicated women, pressuring employees into intimate situations and asking for explicit images from female contacts. This, I'm reading from Fox News dot com. But again, they cite
“and that from a report on Friday from the San Francisco Chronicle, not a conservative publication.”
Rumblings that goes on to read here at Fox News dot com, rumblings of misconduct from Swallow,
first emerged earlier this month. When a former capital hill staffer and a political media
personality began circulating testimony for women who said they had been sexually assaulted by the congressman. So that person, by the way, here's a quote from them. This would be Cheyenne Hunt, who again, was a former capital hill staffer and political media personality. Her quote is, the Democratic candidate currently leading in the California Governor's race as a known history of being predatory towards women.
So Swallow's office is coming out saying these allegations of false and that he plans to fight them and everything else as he posted in his Twitter post. This is a problem on so many levels for the Democratic Party. I kind of sensed that Swallow well even though he was doing fairly well in terms of Democrats that are in the give of the Tory or race in California. That he was doing
he was performing well in the polls. I got this feeling that something else was going on
at the party really wasn't putting him up there to shine. In fact, he's never been one of those
rising stars. I don't know if they actually have any rising stars right now in the Democratic Party to be honest with him. Even though Kamala said over the weekend, she's thinking about running.
She's thinking about running in 28.
you had to pick some of them, Swallow was not on that list. And that's what you look at.
I hate to say that people look creepy, but he's always looked creepy to me. I don't know if
the allegations the serious allegations against him are true or not. I have no idea. But the point is he doesn't have that leadership look in his eye. He doesn't have that look of conviction in his eye. It's always been about being one of the loudmouths on Capitol Hill on the left, spewing whatever. And he just just didn't have that. He didn't look like he was a serious contender at any level. And now I wonder if his days are numbered in the house. We'll see.
I just think once you get now, the two of situations like this, this is hard to overcome. And if you're given up, you're your campaign for governor that at some point in if Pelosi's
“calling you and saying, hey, you need to stand down in that race. There are conversations,”
other conversations being had in the hallways in the Democratic Party. And I guarantee you, this is a huge concern. Again, not saying whether he's guilty or not, we'll see what the where the process takes them or takes the party. But I don't think you're going to see much of Eric's Wallwell in the future. I think the party has been throttling Eric's Wallwell for a while. That's just what it felt like to me, just anecdotal. He just didn't seem to be as loud as he once was.
But never, he was never a serious contender. He was never a rising star, just one of the loudmouths
in the party, and they have many. And over the weekend, as I mentioned, Kamala Harris was asked in an interview, "Are you going to run in 2028?" She said, "I'm by." All right. And so then you look at 2028, because one of the things you look at in a gubernatorial race, especially with California itself, is that person going to be if they went in, become the governor of California, or are they going to run for president in the future?
I could see that if it had happened that way, Eric's Wallwell would have wanted to run for president. But I think there's other baggage that comes along with it, not just these allegations. Again, we're not sure if they're true or not. But I think there was a, I think his future was limited.
“He just did not put off the vibe as somebody who could govern. And that's what it really comes”
down to. You know, I said this about Joe Biden. Joe Biden never once had to govern
until January 20, 2021, when he was inaugurating. And we see how that worked out. He had zero governing skills. Remember he was, this is so laughable. He was picked as the vice presidential choice for Obama back in 2008 for his foreign relations expertise. And I thought to myself at one point, oh my gosh, that's laughable. Then I reconsidered it and hindsight recently, I thought, well, wait a minute. No, it's made his family millions. So he does
have some foreign relations experience. But it turned out that it was not that kind of experience
“that would serve our nation. And I think that's, you know, what you have when you look at the”
future of the Democratic Party, Gary and I have been asking, all right, what are people looking at? We don't know on the midterm where it's going to go. We both want the president to be able to keep the house and the Senate. We want him to keep his party in control of the house and Senate so that his agenda can be fulfilled to the fullest extent possible for the rest of his term. It's looking very iffy in the house. But you look, until you look at the other side,
There's this question going back and forth, I saw a few articles actually in ...
one over the weekend about what independence looked for, right? What are they concerned about?
“Well, the markets can price in higher energy costs in the, in the war with the land, right?”
But it still doesn't make it good. When you're filling up your pickup truck and it's 8590 bucks when you are going to the grocery store and, of course, the cost of energy adds to the cost of transporting those groceries. We saw the inflation numbers from Friday, the majority of that came from the higher cost and energy. And it was priced in again by the market. It was expected that it would go up. And I don't believe it's going to be long lit.
However, people live in the bubble of today, especially when it comes to their own economy,
when their own checkbook isn't fulfilling everything when they can't have checkbook.
“Sorry, for those under 70, a checkbook was something we used to write someone a piece of paper”
and tell them that we had money in the bank. And sometimes we didn't. We were just hoping that said piece of paper wouldn't have arrived to the bank before that money arrived to the bank. It was called floating a check. Oh, we could get into that. But people's accounts, their bank accounts are what they look at when you go shopping, when you go to get stuff.
I'm noticing it more and more. The problem with that again is even though it may be temporary
and if we're looking at this in the big picture and all of us walk through follow what's going on and know what's going on and why it's going on in the moment, understand it, people who are working for
“living are still struggling. And so that becomes an issue. When it comes to the war with a ran,”
it's better to get it over sooner than later. I know the president believes that, but certainly the mission must be accomplished. So there are a lot of things going on right now influencing the numbers. But is the economy? Could we be Gary and I have asked this question a few times in recent weeks or months? Could we be at a point where the economy, especially with independence, isn't the biggest driver? It's the lack of trust in the democratic party, in the radicals.
And also you could add the question of their trust in what the Democrats would do themselves with the economy and we know what they would do. You know, promise a bunch of free stuff and then raise taxes which would of course raise the cost for everybody. So there's a lot going on there. We're going to talk more about the economy, about inflation, about the war in Iran and what happens from here, how long does the blockade put in place by the US remain in place and politically what

“lots of say on the stuff from over the weekend. I think again when we look at the talks with the”
Rand, I don't know that anybody had any expectations. It was going to change anything. I think it was part of the process and I'm going to talk more about that coming up. The process basically of extending that diplomacy because I think the other nations in that and that region certainly want that, but I think there's more to it than just having to sit down and we'll talk about that coming up.
, we're going to talk about that coming up. Catch Red Eye Radio Live every night on the Red Eye Radio App, available in the App Store, Red Eye Radio. That's right. “We made our app portable. Other apps you have to plug into a wall and keep them at home from”
what I understand that could be a misunderstanding completely. But no, our app is free and we appreciate that. We also Gary and I are very appreciative of the fact that people return to our show. We can't fully understand why, but we're appreciative that you search us out every day. We thank our loyal listeners. It was so great to see the responses. Gary posted a picture of his
dad wearing a really great t-shirt that says the first hundred years are the hardest.
At the end of last week and it was just a great adorable picture of his dad who turned 100 last week. I had the celebration over the weekend. And then I reposted that because it was just an awesome picture. And we wanted to share that with everybody, but the responses that we have seen on that have been just great and were grateful to have an audience. That is with the every night. Many listeners that are here every night. We thank you. We don't take that for granted
apparently one of us does because he's not here tonight. But we won't name names. Now we're getting into now the part of the situation with Iran. I think that is going to be, I don't know if you want to call it the meat and potatoes. The tougher decisions that have to be made. But when you look at the entourage basically going over led by Vice President Jady Vance to sit down in this long run with Iranians, I don't believe anybody had any great expectations.
Because unless Iran was going to say, okay, we're handing over our entire
“stockpile of enriched uranium to the U.S., it really didn't mean anything. I think that's what”
you're looking at right now. When the President says they can't have nuclear weapons and he's repeated that over the weekend since the talks were over. He said it. I don't know how many times actually at recent months. But he did repeat that point over the weekend since the talks came to a close. I think what he is saying is they can't have that uranium. And really that's what it comes down to. So if you've extended this diplomacy to the full six-step possible,
and I don't know if there's going to be more talks. The President over the weekend was talking as if, you know, well, you know, they're still at the table, but I'm telling my people, I want everything,
not 90 percent, I want 100 percent. And that means no nooks. Well, if, if you look at that,
I think that's again extending this to the full six-step possible. Whether they get to the
Table again or not to the side if there are going to be boots on the ground g...
uranium. I really believe that if there's, if there is going to be a boots on the ground mission,
“and I don't think the President wants that. But if it is the only way to get that uranium,”
if it's even possible to get some of that uranium is buried in rubble, when we bomb their new facility, it, it buried it in rubble, and I don't know if it is even achievable to get that. I think that's
roughly 60 percent of the stockpile. There are two sites where the enriched uranium is located.
So this would be a massive mission that has a lot of moving parts, a lot of variables, and even as great as our Intel is, and as really Intel is, it would have way too many unknowns. And so I don't even know if that is an option. But I think this is one step in opening that option to go through this diplomacy as the President has shown he has done numerous occasions. We want to talk, we want to talk, we want to talk, but it is going to be,
“I think in the next couple of weeks it will be telling, first of all, whether or not China is sending”
these anti-air missiles, these are the the the shoulder anti-air missiles. That's the story,
a source story, China says it's not true. We'll find that out soon or not. If it gets to be a problem where we're not controlling the air waves over Iran, the air space over Iran, at any point, then it will certainly determine that will tell us that China and or Russia is involved. And that cannot, I don't know what you, I don't know how you remedy that. It was talk about a 50% sheriff if we find out that is the case. On China, I don't know if that is enough.
China is saying it's not happening, nobody released China. So beyond that, I think you extend
this, I don't know courtesy if you want to call it that, a courtesy of setting down, go
“shoot it. And that's what the talks have been about. And then how do we get that uranium?”
Can we destroy those stockpiles? Can we is there, is there any hope of doing that or just do you keep bombarding what's left of Iranian leadership? I guess the remnants of the regime until they give in or they're overthrown. Do you ask other nations to come in? And these are all big questions. The blockade in the Strait of Hormuz obviously has an effect on energy prices. But I have to be honest with you. And maybe it's because the markets don't
believe it will be for long. But adding, we're back above $100 a barrel. I think last I checked we're at $104 in change for oil. I don't think that the market believes it's going to be long lived. And that would be a correct assumption. Let's see here. Let me double check here on the oil markets right now. We're at 103. It's actually come down since our show has started. And I think there could be again this belief that the blockade that the U.S. Navy blockade in the Strait of Hormuz
will be short-lived. Just based on the nature of this president, but also based on how volatile, how back and forth it has been. So there are two things you're looking at, Gary and I have talked about. And that is the political effects domestically. That this has cost of energy going up. This is not a good thing. Even if people believe it's temporary, even if people believe it's necessary, some of them may again, that pain may be changing their mind. And we're not close
enough to the election to know accurately. How much of a change that it's? But there is that effect on the economy. We saw the inflation numbers come out on Friday. And that was already priced in. By the market, the market didn't have a huge move on that. But certainly, it is known that
As long as we're in this situation with Iran, energy prices are going to go up.
prices are going to affect the cost of goods too as the transportation of those goods is added as a result of higher energy. It's increased as a result of the higher cost of energy.
“So now I think that we're at this point of, I don't know that you can call it a stalemate.”
I think actually from the U.S. perspective, my confidence in this administration based on their actions up to this point, tell me they have that decision to make. On what to do about that enriched uranium, is it going to be more air power and more air strikes? Do they believe? They can handle it that way. Or are we actually, are they actually, as a source story said now a few weeks ago, going to send troops in to get that enriched uranium, that would be a
very dangerous situation. But I have confidence in the military that if they make that decision, we're going to have, of course, the upper hand. The question is, what does that even look like? They've got to create, in fact, a makeshift runway for planes that are going to be necessary. They're going to have to bring trucks in. That'll be necessary. And then, of course, you've got to get to, in one case, one part of the stockpile. The biggest part is under a bunch of rubble.
How do you actually get to that? So it won't be known until after the fact, but I'm very curious
as to how they handle that. It cannot be trusted. Iran can't be trusted for one second.
If they say, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, then they're going to have to hand over. Volunteerly that enriched uranium. And I don't, I don't see that happening. I don't have any confidence that Iran is going to do that. I don't have any confidence that we're going to see any change from anybody who was at the table or anybody they represent over the weekend. It's just not going to be the case. The president made the point. They keep screaming and he said this to Maria Bartiroma over the
weekend on Fox News. Well, they're screaming death to America, death to America. And then I get, you know, I get criticized for my comments when he talked about, he will wipe out their civilization. He wasn't talking about their entire civilization in terms of what we consider to be civilians or as Andrew McCarthy at the National Review correctly pointed out, those are civilians in the way we think of them. They are subjects. There are rules and subjects. You have the regime
that is still in power as far as we know. And the subjects who, again, otherwise would be known as
“citizens and that's what he was talking about, taking out leadership, taking out the regime,”
changing that civilization as they know it forever. We're at this critical point and it's being
measured in again two different ways politically. What do you do about the midterms and the effect on the midterms? You have to make the case if you're sending troops in. If that turns out to be the case that they're sending in troops, again, based on the source story from a few weeks ago, if that's a consideration and they end up actually doing that, taking the amidst uranium, putting boots on the ground, then we've got boots on the ground and politically here at home.
That's a very different scenario. Not only is it a continuation of the economic impact of the war, but it's also a lot of questions as to how long is this going to take? Where is the exit ramp? What does the president do long-term? And what does it look like after we get that enriched uranium? Again, the ultimate situation would be to hand for them to hand it over a rand to hand it over voluntarily. That's not going to happen. I'm confident there's zero chance
“of that happening, which means we have to get it some way, somehow. And the question is, how?”
Think the next two weeks are going to be very critical in this war with a rand.
Very critical. So, we'll see where it goes. The blockade in place in the straight-of-war moves, the US Navy, doing its job there to choke out the economy for a rand where not of their oil
Can get anywhere.
maybe. You're listening to Red Eye Radio. Coming up, more with Gary McNamara and Eric Harley,
it's Red Eye Radio. You're listening to Red Eye Radio. I'm Eric Harley, Gary McNamara has the morning off. The President speaking at Joint Base Andrews, some audio here and to the earlier points about
“nuclear weapons and a rand. Here's President Trump. I think Iran is in very bad shape.”
I think they're very desperate. We had a meeting that lasted 21 hours. We understand
this situation better than anybody and a rand in very bad shape. And just so you understand, a rand will not have a nuclear weapon. We'll that have. There is no way that they're going to get, they still want it and they made that clear. The other night, a rand will not have a nuclear weapon.
“So, there you have it. That's the President again making clear. And of course, that I think”
starts and ends with their stockpile of enriched uranium. If we have possession of that,
that it makes it next to impossible for them to have nuclear weapons anytime in the near future. So, we'll of course be following this and the naval blockade on the state and in the straight form of.
