>> Tonight, making friends with your body, body, image and body issues are a big deal.

We live in these bodies that are serving us all the time. And it's even weird to say, live in these bodies because we are these bodies. And yet we can have a very disconnected relationship to them. And that disconnect can open up space for judgment, negativity, and even shame.

I think what we call body image problems are almost 100% of the time, not liking your body.

No one has a body image problem about liking their body too much. We don't feel comfortable in them, or we assume that others would not approve of that. Like we're looking at ourselves through some weird distorted imagined lens of other people's minds. And that's a difficult trap. I know I've dealt with it myself.

And one's relationship to one's body is both a life-long thing. It's the longest relationship you have.

And at the same time, it's a one second at a time thing.

So I think it's really good to be conscious of it, to develop appreciation and respect for one's body. No matter what we believe others might think or say.

Life is too short to be stuck in my own head worrying about what my future partner might think of my bunions.

Good, or my freckles, or to care what a stranger on social media thinks. And perhaps the most profound truth about our bodies is that they're not really even hours. They're products of generations and generations of family history. So many people back there behind you making your body it's hard to count them. Think about how many people went into creating you.

And that we're basically borrowing this body for this ride. Some of us passing on our genetic material to add to a larger human tapestry.

When you think about it being alive in a body is a pretty amazing thing.

Finally, I think if we hope we will one day simply be struck with body approval, or body love, one day it'll be fixed, that's not how it works.

A negative body images a habit of mind that takes a while to develop and then is practiced again and again, both consciously and unconsciously. And like all habits it begins to play out on autopilot in the subconscious mind. And you will probably need some time and practice in order to replace it with more positive thoughts. . So you're still the soul-flashback of this soul-flashback and then you're often stopped? No, not at all. How much is your own taste?

You're all right. Yeah, exactly. How much is your own taste? You're just a part of your own body. Your own body, your body, your body, your body, your body. That's not how much you're in. -Stay and elated. -Self. -With visor steuere.
