to join you and try and cover everything happening in our world on this Friday when the second edition, second attempt at the DC Nerd Promise going to happen. I know people in the media gristle
when the Chris Plant Show may call the DC Correspondence Association Dinner, the Nerd Promise. But let's face it. It is. But the stars of the political media universe--
with a few other people, a few other stars will be there tonight as the awards are handed out the journalistic awards are handed out.
The president will preside.
And Mr. Oz Perlman will dazzle the audience. And expect a whole lot of security. Things are going to be pretty tight tonight after what happened in April. The April 25th dinner and throughout the by a madman
hoping to wreak havoc and kill a bunch of folks. I don't think that's going to be the problem tonight. It's just probably going to take you about 45 minutes more to get into the venue because of security. That's what happens.
We can't have nice things. A lot of stuff to go into today and the remaining two hours of the program, including a new poll that shows Democrats and their 20, 28 candidates are being led by a former bartender.
That's right, a former bartender is topping the polling for the 20, 28 Democratic presidential nominee. According to the University of New Hampshire poll, AOC is whipping Kamala Harris and Gavin Newsom. Seriously, putting the series beat down
on Gavin Newsom and Kamala Harris, which, you know, we were told that those two, that's a lock. Gavin Newsom's sitting at about 8% of the voters pulled in this New Hampshire poll. And you also have, when I say,
Kamala is at 5%. If we look at the very bottom of the list, J. B. Pritzker, who I think still believes he has a shot,
“he's got 1%, Andy Besher, who I don't think you should”
write off as a 1%, Amy Klobuchar, 1%, Cory Booker 2%, Rokana, are you kidding me? The 2% of the people that said Rokana should be the nominee. Those people need to be locked up, or at least we need
to put some sort of monitoring device on them. Josh Shapiro, the governor of Pennsylvania 2%, John Asoff, you've got to watch how you say that on the radio. John Asoff is at 2%. Although if you listen to the left side of the mainstream media,
they'll tell you that Asoff is the rising star. Kamala Harris at 5%, Bernie Sanders is at 6%, but that's because we aren't talking to the socialist. If you talk to the socialist, you can put at least a 1, maybe a 2, with front of that number.
He's probably at least 16, maybe 26% should vote for Bernie. You have a new some at 8%, astronaut, senator Mark Kelly at 9%, mayor Pete at 21%, and then edging out mayor Pete for the tippy top of the 2028 Democratic presidential primary poll from the University of New Hampshire
is Alexandria occasionally co-haired. AOC sits at the top of this poll. That's really interesting. She's up 7% point since February.
“Is it because the party is trending towards socialism?”

Well, I didn't do the poll, but now that the polls out there, we have to address it. Because AOC's rise should be concerning to the old guard inside the Democrat party. They should be very concerned. But remember, she was at 7% in the similar polling back in February of this year. And she's also said some pretty dumb things like this back in February.
“Would and should the U.S. actually commit U.S. troops to defend Taiwan if China were to move?”
You know, I think that this is such a -- you know, I think that this is a -- this is of course a very long-standing policy of the United States.
And I think what we are hoping for is that we want to make sure that we never get to that point.
And we want to make sure that we are moving in all of our economic research and our global positions to avoid any such confrontation and for that question to even arise. So it's kind of painful to listen to that, isn't it? But that was back in February when she was sitting at 7%. And now she's at 22% -- oh, she was at 15% back in February. She's up 7% at points. A painful to listen to. But, you know, surely that's not -- that's not the totality of her statements on foreign policy and stuff like that, right?
Are those -- are you not coming through Michael?
I'm sorry. She was asked about a wealth tax.
“And I went to this reporter, Esther, when you run for President, will you impose a wealth tax?”
And she said, well, I don't think we have to wait. A wealth tax could be imposed at any moment, so she's all in on the wealth tax. And then, now she's traveling and being swarmed by reporters and being asked questions about socialism and socialism jumping and moving to full-blown communism. You can do what they want. I don't -- I'm not here to be the belief police around here. Is there concern that, you know, this slippery slope towards socialism inevitably ends up as full-blown communes?
I mean, you know, nope. It's starting to bounce. America's turning into a communist country. It's like a year. That's like --

I think it's very silly. I agree. You just think about how impossible it has been to raise the minimum wage in America in 10, 15, 20 years. We can't even raise the minimum wage. Do Republicans really think that this stuff is going to happen? No, they don't. They're trying to scare people because they don't want us talking about. The fact that we don't have a right to help care in this country, which is a socialist communist belief they have to have the government impose. Healthcare on everyone. Interesting.
So she laughs, but you know, so she qualifies the statement. America's not going to become a communist country in a year. Not going to become a communist country in a year. She put a little qualifier in there. I think AOC is at the top of this position for a reason that the Democrat Socialists are very well-organized at this point and they have decided that the typical Democrat candidates are no longer going to be in charge of the party, that the Gavin Newsom's of the world, the Pete
Buddha judges of the world are no longer going to be the leaders. So the GOP calling out the communist move by the Democrats has AOC trying to laugh it off. Very interesting. John Fetterman's blasting her, especially because of her stance on Israel and saying that Israel's a general societal state, and well, Fetterman remains, which is kind of scary. The loan sensible voice inside the Democrat party seems. Maybe there's another one out there, but I have not
found that haven't located them at this point. It's certainly not the folks like AOC and certainly

that happened with James Carvelle yesterday. And I know Carvelle is long past his cell date.
“If you look at, if James Carvelle had a pulled-by date stamped on his neck, it was probably”
20 years ago. And yet we give him credit for its economy stupid, but the fact that he is still the go-to guy for many, many of the liberal media outlets to opine on where things stand. He remembered Carvelle told us in October of 2024 that Kamala Harris was going to destroy Donald Trump in the election. And it wasn't even close. But now he's still out there. And it was one of the weirdest things yesterday when I was going through the crazy list of podcasts from the left side
of the Democratic Party. Carvelle does his podcast. And he's been sitting in this kind of recliner lately that looked like a question whether or not he was capable of moving around. Maybe he is no longer ambulatory. We haven't seen him walking around anywhere. He certainly hasn't been in a television studio at all. Perhaps James Carvelle is not healthy. I don't know. I don't wish anyone

Why would you? We watch it so you don't have to. It appears he's in some kind of a coffin. He's got a backdrop. I know it's probably a headboard. some incredible responses. And yesterday, the Trump administration did something I've been waiting
for them to do for quite some time. Remember when the Supreme Court said, "No, the tariffs are
“not legit." The Supreme Court struck down the previous tariffs that the President had levied against”
a lot of our training partners. And I kept waiting. I said, "This administration has to find a way to get the tariffs back in because it was leveling the playing field for us on the global training market." Well, yesterday there was an announcement that the Trump administration is slapping tariffs on a huge group, 60 countries, 60 countries were hit with tariffs of effective midnight. But it's the way that the administration got around the restrictions placed on it
by the Supreme Court that I have to give them a tip of the hat. And I'll share it with you just around the corner. The tariff move made by the administration absolutely spot on genius stuff.
