This isn't eye-harp podcast.

Guaranteed human.

Ready for a different take on Formula One, look no further than no grip, a new podcast tackling

the culture of motor racing's most coveted series.

Join me, Lily Herman, as we dive into the under-export pockets of F1, including the astrology of the current grid, the story of the sports most consequential driver strike, and plenty of other mishab scandals and sagas that have made Formula One a delightful, decadent, dumpster fire, for more than 75 years. Listen to no grip on the eye-harp radio app, apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.

I'm Daniel Alarcon, and this is my friend, is much more famous than I am. I wouldn't go that far, but I'm John Green co-host of the podcast The Away and with my old friend Daniel, on our podcast The Away and we'll share with you the magic of international football, all leading up to the 2026 world cup. Together we'll find out why of all the unimportant things, football, soccer, soccer,

On a recent episode, I sit down with actor, cultural icon, Danny Trail, talk about addiction, transformation in the power of second chances, the entire season two is now available

to bench, featuring powerful conversations with the guests like Tiffany Addish, Johnny Knoxville,

and more. I'm an alcoholic, and without disprove, I'm a diet. Listen to the Steena Show, on the eye-harp radio app, apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. On paper, the three hosts of the Nick Dick & Paul show are geniuses.

We can explain how AI works, data centers, but there are certain things that we don't necessarily understand. That's better version of "Place Tip of Games" when "stupid" surprises us. Which, by the way, wasn't Taylor Swift who said that for the first time. I actually thought it was.

I got that wrong. But hey, no one's perfect. We're pretty close, though. Listen to the Nick Dick & Paul show on the eye-harp radio app, apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

Hi, I'm Bob Pittman, Chairman and CEO of EyeHard Media, and I'm kicking off a brand new season of my podcast, Math and Magic Stories from the Frontiers of Marketing. Coming up this season on Math and Magic, CEO of Liquid Death, Mike Siserio.

Listen to Math and Magic on the eye-harp radio app, apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Great weekend, Hope Yada. You can sort of weekend. You don't have it seen?

Whoa! This season of maybe in years.

Remember who's down there with the Cadbury commercial?

Like, "Buddy in the chicken all that?" Keep those eggs away from me, bro. Yeah, you know, I gotta be said, "I gotta be honest, I'm proud of myself for not eating bags of those. Those mini Cadbury eggs are the best."

Keep them away. Shout out to my peeps, by the way. Shout out to my peeps. You ever put a peep in the microwave oven? How's talking about my Fox Sports Radio Peeps?

Got one. Anyway, Hope Yada, you con, Sebastian Fondora, Joe Piper, sort of weekend. Hope all your team's won, baseball's back. Right, Spongebob. Be rockin' out, let's go!

Oh yeah, you know, in rich. That's a Steve Covino and Rich Davis, Covino and Rich. Taking the world by, not by store by scattered showers. What did you say earlier? I was like, "Yo, Covino, where are you?"

"When you con, hit that game-winning shot." Mullins. What did I say? C'mon, I was watching. I watch it later.

I wonder, should you lie to your buddies, but again, do what I was locked in?

Because I've missed big plays.

And when someone was like, "Yo, I'm always torn if I should just fib and go along

with that." I love how you call me out. I like the biggest moment of the weekend. Meanwhile, you watch nothing and come in here and pretend like you've seen it all. What did I miss?

Because I wasn't there in the moment because I was being a chauffeur to my kid. I'm not gonna say anything. I watched all the fights. I watched all the games. No, I don't think you ever lie.

You see the highlights, you see it when you see it. I don't think you lie because you exposed yourself when you lie. Well, we've talked about that. We're the people, let's just say, the people that left Miami. When they thought the spurs were going to win the NBA finals.

Well, like 10 years ago, if you're one of those people that left

Game early and the team made a comeback or you just happen to be stepping out.

Like you said, you're running it out and they're bringing your kid somewhere.

If you missed a big play, do you just go along with the conversation at work or no?

No, because you have to explain why you didn't see it live.

Like, yeah, I saw it because I did see it. What do I see it? Three minutes after the fact. I mean, I saw it. Everybody saw it.

If you didn't see it, that's the problem. Your algorithm is so weak that somehow between then and now you didn't see it. Then you and I are not the same cat at all. I don't think we live at home. If you had to see at the moment, you're going to see it.

You're going to see it. You go along with the person at work, meaning a lot of times you. All right, let's play it out because what you're saying is ridiculous. Hey, man, talk to me about the game. Oh, it was just a passing comment.

Like, it's so butter to say it. And I'm going to tell you that you don't have to admit it. Get it. That was wild. You all he had to do was hold the ball there.

And he tried to pass the ball forward. Oh, I'm sorry, man. I didn't see it. Well, live anyway, but I saw it like three minutes later. Why would I have to stop the conversation to explain that?

That's what I'm saying. So you do think you should go along with you as clown. Why does me not having to see live have anything to do with the story? Bro, it's Monday. I didn't want to head about you until at least there's that.

Because what you're saying is ass and I do. It really is. You don't have to see it live to know what happened. No, but I appreciate the honesty because remember the home run Derby. You guys left early.

And when we had our pre show meeting live from Atlanta the next morning to fill in for the DP show. Yeah. You guys had a conversation. You're like, should we just say that?

No. And then you said, no, no, we got to be honest. Fake in the phone. And I don't believe in that. But it doesn't really get it.

Why you're an admission unless you ask where where you went. It happened. It doesn't. Or it doesn't matter because why would I stop someone's. Yeah, I saw it.

Why does watching it live have, you know, any relevance to the story?

Unless they ask you specifically, were you watching it live? Or you have like a story to attack onto it. Like, I spilled my popcorn everywhere. I spilled my drink on my pants. And I have no idea.

I started headbutting on my friends because I was watching it live. I just got caught up in the moment. It was a passing comment. We could move a lot. My point was I.

For all the things you watch, you just happen to be out in that moment. It's like when someone at work goes, oh, then you work at Fox Sports, do you know Bob Thompson? You may not know. Yeah, yeah, I think I heard of him.

I'm going to continue with your story. I'm just saying a lot of times you just, yeah, yeah, yeah. Actually, I'd say who? [laughing] The Paul tells you I just tell the story.

He doesn't remember her. I saw the highlights. I saw the highlights. God, God, God, God. Broadcasting live from Fox Sports Radio.

I was saying I spilled this popcorn everywhere. If you miss any of today's show, any show ever, catch the podcast.

Search Kovino and Rich wherever you get your podcast and just fast forward through the first six minutes of today's show.

It's all good. And remember, you can watch what you hear at Kovino and Rich FSR. We're streaming live at Kovino and Rich FSR. It's an odd sort of thing. You've like so much went down.

Did you watch the Yankee Game Live? No, you saw the highlights. Did you watch the Fendora fight? No. You heard me talk about her.

Did you watch UFC? No. But I didn't. I didn't. I didn't see that female fighter look on.

She died. And then it was like, thank God. She was okay. That was scary. She got knocked out and then choked out.

Like a double music. Barber. Yeah, she got. She got beat bad. It was a skip barber.

It was a scary moment. Oh, it tastes like Barbara. I'm like, there's a middle woman named Barbara since 1940. No, no, no, Barbara. So thank you guys.

It was a weekend of great basketball. Great baseball. ABS systems. Yeah. Controversial strike calls.

It's turned over. And of course, some great fights and life trumpets. Life trumpets. Life trumpets. How do you get in controversial?

I'm not a fan of the live trumpets. But I want some big fat Mexican guy with a big fat Mexican mustache. They should have just found some of some cool vato. Yeah, I wanted some. But you know what?

Not trying to take anything away from. With the recorder. Tatiana Tate is playing Narco for Edwin Diaz. Live at Dodger Stadium. And she did a great great job.

But I really like that she get the gig. She did it two nights in a row. To me, she from what I've heard. She's like some sort of renowned trumpet player. Like she was like a child prodigy that she had the time.

She must be getting paid then to give up all the home game. Schedule just to be there for when he pitches.

Yeah, after his very first official save for the Dodgers.

They asked him on the field after the win. Was that in your contract?

Was that part of it that you get a live trumpet player?

Yeah. I don't know. They're going to have to rotate it because you can't be that available. You play the professional musician. You play the trumpet in high school.

I sure did. You did. You know, throw your name in the hat. Maybe I'll hop in there. So some exciting games.

Props to her. You know what? Since you brought it up to any G.

There's plenty to get to from Boba Shet to.

You con beating Duke.

But there is some debate on whether or not Mason Miller has a better entrance.

Because he came out to corn this weekend. Are you ready to blind? Yeah. 1994's blind by corn. And as a rock fan.

Yeah, but it was corn there doing it live. No. But as a rock fan, as a guy that plays that stuff every night. I totally give it the rock horns and seal of approval. It's official.

I give it that. Oh, my God.

Does Mason Miller know that you gave it to the approval?

I have heard of how much you let him know. Steve Carino. But hold on. It's like someone's like, Yo bro, is it the best of all time? I'm like, did you forget about Mariana Rivera?

Like, sorry. No. It's great.

And I do think it's better than Edwin Diaz.

But you got to prove yourself. So for that reason alone. Yeah. Edwin Diaz is still above him in my opinion. Mason Miller has all the potential in the world.

Because it's a hell of an entrance. And the timing of it just works so perfectly. I think it's a little too cool for the San Diego Pondres. I said no offense. Cornie.

But when you're a kid and some people and just say no offense. I said no offense. We all do respect. Yeah. Oh.

Hey.

It's like what's a big botchicle of Guido on the sopranos.

We'll go, hey, don't need to see fans. No. Had that weak ass rap a few years ago when they made the playoffs. It's not a horn, but it's corn. That's what's it.

That's what's it. Those corn balls that they had out there. Now. Yes, corn balls. Get it.

Corn. Corn. What's that? Stat Rivera had more people walked on the moon and scored on Mariana Rivera in the post season.

Allegedly. And you want to say that he has the best entrance ever did we forget enter San Man New York Yankees. That's what started all of this.

So you can't have that conversation without at least being honest first.

When you find that Mariana Rivera fun fact, you're like a Yankees bathroom book that's on top of the toilet. No, I have a tattoo on my ass. You want to see. Please present it.

Right. You can go nose deep and check it out. Right. All right. So check this out, guys.

Yeah. Congrats to Mason Miller with his entrance. Diaz had the live trumpets. I love the theatrics. I love the as Colin put it.

The game show atmosphere of the ABS strike call. The challenge. It's been adding so much fun. I think it changes so much strategy. And again, news flash has been going on in the minor leagues for a minute.

But when you see it at this level, you're like, wow, this is really changed in the game. It's really interesting. Hope you guys enjoyed it. That being said, before we get into some college basketball and all the fun that happened this weekend, speaking of baseball, your boy Boba Shets and the news rich.

Yeah. You know what? And I feel like Boba Shet, I'm excited about this guy. I'm excited. I mean, as a Metz fan, why would I not be excited about Boba Shet?

Bishet, come on and come on and meet Bishet. They were doing meet the Metz. I like Boba Shet. I'm going to tell you. So he's an York Met by day, a bounty hunter by night, Boba Shet.

I didn't want to bring up one thing about the ABS real quick. I saw something that I wasn't even sure you said Colin on the herd said, it's very game showy. Yeah, it is. I like the theatrics and you know, in stadium seems to be a party waiting to see what

the result is. Just when you thought you knew everything about the ABS challenge, this is something I learned over the weekend. I don't know if Danny G, damn buyer, I don't know if you guys do this. The broadcast team has access even if it's not a challenge, meaning what the Metz

or an extra innings, they lost to the pirates, congrats, Pittsburgh, yesterday through

those cameras got you up to a grain of rice, man, a grain of rice, they say, that's how

close these pitches are since seven cameras at different angles. I don't know the 12 cameras, geez, what I didn't realize was that there was a pitch to lendor in extras, ball of four, city field goes nuts, walk. It look close, Pittsburgh did not challenge Gary Keith and Ron, the Metz broadcast team were like, wow, surprise the pirates sitting in challenge here, let's take a look and

they're like, oh, there it was, it was a strike. So the broadcast team, did you know that they have access to check just for the fun of the broadcast? I didn't know that. No, so it's like, Danny, you can be watching the dodge pick.

Ooh, they should have challenged. If the broadcast team has that hanker into check as well, they could be like, oh, let me chill. That was a ball after all. That's cool.

That way, we could be extra frustrated as fans of our teams get it. Exactly. Yeah. So we saw a lot of ABS, like you said, a lot of fun. You know what though, I really think, because we saw how aggravated that one empire got this

weekend. Nine calls, yeah, nine calls wrong, they really need to, and most of them are, but they really need to use this the same way we need to use chat GPT, like as a tool and look

At it as a way to get better in whatever it is that you do, like embrace it, ...

empire looks frustrated with it, it's just going to make them more obsolete faster and sooner than later. Like if they use it as like, yeah, we're just committed to getting it right. And yeah, we like the ABS system, you know, they need to embrace it and use it. Use it to their advantage.

And that way, we the public don't look at it like it's making them look bad. Well, like they can't acknowledge that it's making them look bad. No, no, no, no, we're trying to get it right. You see what I'm saying? Of course I do.

In fact, I, I'll go as far as to compare, like they shouldn't be embarrassed. I'll go as far as to compare umpires right now. And by the way, it's 50, 50 pretty much on the call so far about four challenges a game. It's not taking over, but it is a fun layer. But what I'll compare to is self-check out at a supermarket.

Of course, as humans, you know what we want, we don't want people losing their jobs. So like, you don't want the whole place to be self-check out because then it's like, ah, you know, poor old edda and, you know, Bob, who's retired. These guys, you know, you want people to have jobs. You don't want the world to be taken over by robots.

But I'll be honest, I use self-check out most of the time.

There's people that are like, why are we not using this a hundred percent of the time?

It's almost like we're treating them pires like the senior citizens who have retirement jobs at Ralph. It's like, ah, we don't want to have them lose their jobs. So like, if you can, you can do self-check out if you want. I can just view it as, you know, they still do a good job in less just enhanced the experience.

But it's always like, why would you not use it for every pitch if we're learning that it's accurate?

Eventually, you probably will. I think so, I think I saw so many on X posts that they want what you guys are proposing. But now they're not so sure because they love how long pires are being embarrassed. Like, they love that. It's not fun.

It's not fun. They need to pull a boba shit and knit that in the bud and we'll explain, meaning like, beat them to the punch because like, no, no, no, we're fans of this. We embrace it because the more they look embarrassed and frustrated, the more the fans and we the public are going to get on them, the more they embrace it and roll with it.

It's like, yeah, we're a big fan of this, too, to get this right, the less heat they're going to feel. They're going to feel. You guys want to know what stood out to me about the handing out swara as one after I watched a couple of times.

Yeah. He challenged, too. Yes. In the back.

What struck me about this, because I think that this is actually part of the conversation,

was the first call was an inside ball that was low and there was very, and that was called

the strike. Your challenged it, then it was a ball. The next pitch was an outside pitch that was called a strike that was out of the strike zone. I can get it if they were both inside pitches and buck their strike zone was more inside.

Maybe he's not calling that out. You know what I'm talking about? He called an inside pitch a strike when it was a ball and he called an outside pitch. That was a strike. That was a ball.

It exposed them. It did. Yes. Like, if you were consistent, if you had a couple, like, you know, three or four pitches that were inside, you're like, I've got an inside zone.

The, you know, the outer part of the plate is going to be a ball. This was all over the place. We've known that for years. Yeah. And all levels of sports.

Like, oh, this, this Empire, it's got a high strike zone. Correct. He calls the inside pitch. This guy. He missed inside.

Yes.

That's what really bothered me about the call and I'm like, well, thank goodness they

have this because if you are hit or I don't know if the second one was out of spite,

because he got the first one wrong, you maybe just want to ring them up anyway and don't think that he'll do it again. But like, that was the issue that I saw, see me buck their strength, so it was like this. Isn't it? But is it a wild note to think, though, some of these calls that are right by the use

of a half an inch, can you blame the human eye at a hundred miles an hour like, man, he missed it. But it's going to keep the umps on us. It's going to keep them locked in. And like I said, they have to roll with it because they have to eliminate the feeling

of embarrassment. Yeah. Well, there's early observations. Pictures should not be calling this apparently pictures have a 25% success rate so far. Batters and catchers more than 50% so you're looking at if you're there, be on the plate

as a catcher or you know the zone as a hit or the picture maybe it's the angles, whatever the catcher. And adrenaline because in the way catchers frame pitches, they don't have an accurate view of it. So Chris sales spoke of that recently.

You'll see less pictures doing this. And my other observation is summer saying that there's a new bat flip in town. You know what the new bat flip is, you know, you hit a home run, you celebrate your bat flip. Yeah.

But this is showing up the umpires again. I know that's okay. Bat flips don't show up the umpires. Bat flips show up the picture. Yeah.

This is showing up the umpire. I'm not a fan of this. I've seen a few times, for instance. Was it a rosary? And if it was Randy Rosarina who started walking to first before the results of the challenge

even came in. I was like strike and he's like, no, it was a ball takes off like the shin guard, the elbow

Trots down to first, like with such arrogance, like he bumped into Rick the m...

Martell. Yes, I don't know. arrogance and confidence that he's like, no, I know better than you. And that could rub it on fire the wrong way.

Like, I'm already at first base with my gear off because I'm certain I'm right and

you are wrong.

I don't think that's what you want to do to an umpire.

And you know what has changed in the game, but it's changing for the better. We're talking about it. People are glued in, it's not taking a lot a lot of time. And it's been a lot of fun to see so far. So I hope you enjoyed that this weekend.

And when I say nipping it in the butt or pulling a boba shut, I mean this. I think the umpires, like I said, need to eliminate any feeling of embarrassment, any feeling or thought of, they're being shown up and he's sort of angry expressions that you've been seeing throughout the weekend. Be committed to get it right.

It's just part of their job part of the game now. I see that because it's like a theory we've had rich for years where if you got a big giant pimple right on a tip of your nose, right? I feel like you got to acknowledge it before someone else does. You nip it in the butt.

You take away the criticism before they can even say it. You take away the punchline, you take away the heat before someone else can. I live by that. Like, you know what? I got a bad haircut.

I'm going to tell you about it because now I took that away from you. You can't talk about it. I already did. See, someone takes the steam. Someone might say, just don't even acknowledge it.

No, because someone's thinking it, you're a fool. If you think that one of your buddies isn't going to point it out, like if you're wearing a weird looking shirt, because you're ant-button for you, yeah, I know it's a weird shirt. Boom.

You just took that punchline away from someone else and I think the umpires need to do that

to the fans. And I think that's your boy, Boba Shet did to the meds fans over the weekend and I thought this is a great move. One, two, out of three, Boba Shet had a really rough start as a New York man. One for eleven, I think, right?

Just seven strikeout to the point where the fans were booing him on an opening homestand. And by the way, shame on you, Matt's fans, when you're booing Boba Shet, game three, you took two or three, Boba Shet did not look good at the plate. Boom. And Boba Shet commented on this, take a listen to former Blue Jay now, New York metropolitan.

No, if anything, I thought it took too long. Um, but I mean, I get it at that my Vat's retire will too, so. And former Mullett now high in tight. Yeah, Boba Shet. Say that, uh, he thought it took too long, yeah, how do you feel about the meds fans

booing you? I thought it took too long, my a Vat's retireble in that press cover. He wasn't in embrace, but he wanted to say that, hey, listen, man, I really want to impress the meds fans and I was pressing because I really am passionate about this.

And you know what, I think that's getting ahead of it.

So I do like that. I think I believe in that. I believe in getting ahead of it. I believe in being honest about it because when you do those things, that's where you lose all the steam.

It's, it's also the Andy Pett it when he was caught with PEDs back in the day. What did he say? Yeah, I did it because I was trying to get back from an injury. I was trying to get back on the field faster. It didn't make him because I love it so much.

He didn't make him any more innocent, but he took ownership of accountability. He explained it. And that took a lot of the heat off of a guy like Andy Pett it. The people that lied about it, that resisted it, those are the ones that you remember always.

So if Boba Shet was like, yeah, man, I'm really mad about all these people booing me. I just got here, back off guys, I'm just trying to fit in, you know. The fans will eat him up even more. Just like they're going to eat up these umps to more. They complain about being shown up or being embarrassed.

I think it was always an embrace.

It takes the steam out of it. Look at how you is um, a mild master class in handling a new fan base early on. So yeah, in other words, Boba Shet said, man, I'd be booing myself too. I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner and you know what, that's it in the butt. That's his way of also saying like, yo, Metz fans, I want to do well for you.

I know this is a big market trust me. I'll deliver, but I'm listen, I'm, I would have booed me too. I think that's a great approach. And he said it with a smile on his voice and everything. So if he was angry about it, Metz fans would be getting on him more baseball

fans, period would be getting on him more. And it's a question in itself, Fox Sports Radio Nation, 877-999 Fox, do you subscribe to take in the steam out, nipping it in the bud or waiting for someone else to call you out. The same way we've been seeing it in baseball throughout the weekend question. You ever have a woman say to you, I know what you did.

So you Metz will tell me. Yeah, but then you start thinking of all the things you did and like, I don't know what she's talking about. I know, so you might as well just admit it.

And you're like, those are Jedi mind tricks, never fall, never fall.

I'm with you, yeah, what I do, I do anything. You tell me, yeah, you tell me, yeah, you know what I did down me. Those five words, I went through your phone. Oh, I know what, so you, you can tell me because I know. Okay, that's another one, ready, nipping the bud.

You're, you're out and about or let's say, um, someone hits you.

Some, someone slides into your DMs.

If there's a chance your way for a girlfriend finds out, right?

Because they note, let's say they notice Carl or something.

Like, you tell them first, like, do you nipping in the bud or do you let things play out?

Like, I think by doing this, I think Boba Shet nipped it. He's like, yeah, I think I'm trying to get better. You nipped these things in the bud. You just roll with your thoughts at 877-99 on Fox. Let's get interactive.

Louis Hamilton, Krapikhoran's son, Cancer Moon, wouldn't you know it?

Michael Schumacher is also a Capricorn son, Cancer Moon. The story of the sportsman's consequential driver strike. We have one man who upon hearing that he was going to be fired, freaked out, and apparently climbed out the window of the bathroom, and was Daniel Recart was a listry of F1 career a success story, a cautionary tale, or some combination of both.

He started getting all this attention, and he may be started to think, "I'm bigger than this. I'm better." And plenty of other mishab scandals and sagas that have made Formula One a delightful, decadent, dumpster fire for more than 75 years.

star player on our high school soccer team very debatable, and I was their most loyal and sometimes lonely fan. I love this game. I love its history, its hope, its heartbreak, and above all its beauty.

Together we'll find out why of all the important things football soccer is the most important.

I think coming out of where I came from, from the Bronx, I think, I grew up really poor.

I didn't know that then, because I very much use my creativity to romanticize life, and I'm, like, my mom did a really good job of, like, you step back and you're like, whoa, we, I don't know how we made it. So, a lot of my life was, like, bill out of, like, survival to get to the next place. Like, my drive, my, like, tunnel vision of, like, I got to be better.

I got to achieve this, was off the strength of, like, I want to make a better life for us. If you knew better, it brings real talk from women who've lived it. Packing career pivots, relationship lessons, and the mindset shifts that changed everything. Listen to if you knew better with Amber Grimes on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.

What's up, I'm out of turn, and I'm Brianna Stewart, and our podcast, Game Recognized

Game, has never been done before.

Two active players, giving you a real look at our lives and what we actually think, on and off the court. Nothing's off, Licks. We talk, trade requests. That's the vibe of that when it's, like, your star players, like, well, I want to leave,

and then actually now I'm going to stick. We talk tanking.

I mean, honestly, like, I might get in trouble for this answer, but I think it's, like, definitely

happening in the WWE. Yeah. And yeah. We talk about homestakes too. They pulled me to the side, and was like, hey, man, we got to call last night, and you

can't be rolling around the city like this tonight for games, no, you know, doing this, doing whatever. And of course, family stories. It was like, mommy, why did you miss that? I'm, do you play basketball?

Check out Game Recognized Game with Julian Miles on the eye heart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Oh, yeah, ready for a kick ass week. Are you ready for the final four? Are you ready for Mason Miller to be the guy?

He does have a cool entrance, really cool entrance, like I said, the timing of it. It just all lines up perfectly with the guitar and are you ready by the time, like he's right there on the field, right around that time, kind of cool to see. So I hope you enjoyed your weekend. Hope you had a U-Con sort of weekend, U-Con over Duke, man.

That was big. Logo 3s. They were up 19 points at 1.15 points at the half to come back and upset Duke that way. He just had 19 points to kid the hit the shot. Mullins.

Braylon Mullins. He's 19 years old. Like, isn't wild thing for you? Braylon. He's a kid.

That's the game. That's the giveaway. I mean, we talked the other day about it. His name's not Mike or Steve or Rich. We heard our pal John Boy, you may have seen the same clip where there's only one

Mike in Major League Baseball, which makes you realize all our names in the 80s and 90s are old guy.

Which by the way, we live in a world of amazing stats.

What? That would be my biggest headscratcher. Mike trout is the only one Mike in the big leagues right now. That's crazy. You know, like, there's a bunch of Brains and Dillon's and it's, you know, carcens and

you know. So it's so weak when your name comes in an old guy name. Sorry. Sorry. Mike's might as well be Ebenezer and George on Fox Sports radio.

Who? Yeah. Yeah. Is he still on Ebenezer, live from Fox Sports Radio Studio.

The challenge, the ABS, you know, it's interesting. We're so in it right now and it's so much fun.

We watched our first weekend of baseball where it was circus like in game show like

it times, the reactions of the fans, the guys preemptively running down to first or the tapping of the helmet in a key moment. Eventually it's going to just be, we're going to look back and remember when they didn't have this and it's going to be crazy like we let the umpires make bad calls and just accepted it.

I was talking about this with one of the dads when I was coaching over the weekend because

We were talking about this because it was a hot topic.

I said, you know, layers of the game slowly do go away though.

There's two things that we learned as kids. If you grew up in the 80s and 90s like we did, there are two things that no longer matter that when you were kid, you took pride in batting average framing a pitch. Okay. That's better.

It doesn't matter. Why would it matter? I guess.

Well, if it matters if the ABS isn't called, but that's what I'm saying, like the idea

of framing a pitch hoping that you get the call from blue. Like, I guess it doesn't matter as much when you put it that way. It changes. It changes it. And yo, I feel like I tried to master this as a kid, so I don't call me at the

Pogo ball. Pogo ball. I'll try to master this. Oh, I don't skip it. Oh, you stole my joke.

I stole your bad joke. Um, then when I was a kid, you know, you tag a guy out, you jump up and you've got him blowing. You start like walking back to the dugout. Selling a call.

Selling a call. But there was such a skill in like, are you good at being confident? Like, you got him. Now it's like, man, it doesn't matter. You could be, you could be a, the, the, the, the, the, you could be, you could be, you could be,

you could be the greatest actor in action. Is that right? All of those things. There's no one to call me. It's nothing.

It's trying to fool the empire. There's still a ways to try to fool your opponent.

And that's what the game should be based on anyway.

Like, deacon apply. We've seen some great ones in the WBC. Like, there's ways to fool your opponent. You shouldn't be focused on fooling the empire anyway. That's just weak.

But you're right, Richard. I'm with you. I'm with you. I, it's definitely changing things. But for the better.

We'll be one. Same on you. Hey, by the way, you're, you're playing this. It makes me think of a very special guest we have on Wednesday. We don't want to give it away.

But a very special guest will be here on the show live Wednesday. Right here on Kavino and Rich. Can't wait. Sure, it'll be Bush. I will. But it made me think of it. Well, we'll take your feedback and phone calls.

Now, this past weekend, not only was Boba Shet giving you a master class on how to deal with the media when you're messing up and fancy got boot. And he said, you know what? I would have booted me, too. We talked about, I think accountability goes a long way and owning it and

dipping it in the butt. I think that that extinguishes all the fire and all the heat your way. I think you just roll with it and own it.

And I think that's how you handle all situations where you're getting criticism in life.

Like, even in radio rich, they do something called air checks where your boss basically

tells you what you're doing and right and doing wrong. I notice when I push back and I try to over explain. Yeah, I get it, but I'm trying to do this. That's when it gets like convoluted and defensive and awkward when I'm just like, yeah, man, thanks.

Appreciate the criticism. I'll get him next time. Hey, just, that day really appreciate the criticism. Bam. You just roll forward and then you move on and everything feels good.

It's the ability to like, not look shook. Yeah, it's not easy. It's so many times I want to push back or say something. It does need to be radio or an air check. It could be your boss at your job.

Whatever you do for living, if your boss like, hey, Johnson, I really wish you did blank more. Yeah. If you said, yeah, boss, you've got a man, you're right. You know what Boba shit really wants to say?

Yeah, you know how hard it is to hit 104 mile per hour on a new team. You losers.

But when me, you've got you bumps who've never got it passed literally.

Bummy. Bummy. Your bum losers. Bums. But instead, he's like, hey, you know what?

I agree with you guys. You guys are missed. You know what, I was right with the best. I'd boom me too. Okay, Boba shit.

We won't boo you as much now. Notice like everyone keen peel had the translator for Obama. It's like what you really want to say versus what you say. Yeah, just it's better, just put the fire out. Zippy.

I agree. Not a bad thing. One last thing I want to give you. Who's having to wear start Boba shit or Cal Rawley? Dude, no offense.

You read my mind. Everyone's down here. I was going to say I hate to give Kavino props. But when we talked about who's going to have, like, if you had to do an out on the limb, like, what star is going to stink it up this year?

Listen, with three games into 162. So let's slow down. Yeah. It's very, very long season. Of course, but I'm saying.

Remember last year when Rich was so, so, so sure about what was going on with your bet. That Rich, you tried to pay off Kavino. Yeah. At one point, a one point, a one point. I forgot that at one point.

The meds were significantly better than the Yankees. And I'll let you buy out of the bed. I was so cocky. And the meds ended up winning 83 games. One of the Yankees win 94.

So yeah, a lot could change. But not the start. Cal Rawley won it. He is. The two for 15 with 10 strikeouts.

Like, yo, you said, yo, Cal Rawley's not going to have the year he had last year. It wasn't really against him. And it wasn't me as some sort of clear buoyant. I'm not mad in Ruby. It was a matter of I see a bicycle.

It was a matter of like, he was really swinging a week bat during the world baseball classic.

He alamo.

So, you know, he's, he's just off. I'm not wishing him any any harm. I hope he comes back. But anyway, so far, he's the big slumber. The big slumber man.

And you know what, even a guy like, you know, this happens.

That's why baseball over 162 games is really miraculous.

And I, and I don't say that like, I wrote, I say it for real. Sometimes you'll see a star player.

Stink it up for the first like month.

And at the end of the year, if they're a great player, they somehow. They're stats just show. Like soda last year. Like soda. So yeah, so to had a rough start as a met.

And it went ends up being the runner up MVP to Otani. Well, you know what, I'll tell you this, Paul schemes. Looked like ass didn't even get out of the first inning against the Metz. But I promise you, by the all start break. His ERA is going to be like, too.

You really think Paul schemes or something lost it. Or you think it'll be like, oh, man. Pain, yes. Now I got to work. Now I got to work back.

Come on. All right.

Let's go to our pal in yours.

Stand by your friend. Update DB. What's going on, man? Home opener for the Kansas City Royals. Taking on the Minnesota twins today.

Patrick Mahalms is in attendance. Watching the Royals. I made Minnesota by scour of two to one. Are we going live to Patrick Mahalms? Coffee and stadium.

DB, I will say this. I know you're a uniform guy.

Did you see that the Royals slightly changed their gold envelope?

No, I didn't. Get that. I bring you some fun. Look at that. So there's just a different shade of it.

Different shade went with a lighter blue and a different shade of gold. So if you look in the stands, everyone's going to slightly different color. Jersey. Well, right now, Salvador Perez just struck out. So Royals, though, up to one in that contest against Minnesota.

By the way, don't rub it in. One of my survivor picks of the weak Kansas City. There you go. Inside Joker this year on Fox Sports Radio. NC State is hiring Justin Gany to be their new men's basketball coach.

Once played for the Wolf back and currently was the Tennessee assistant. Now he'll take over the NC State program after will wait. Left for LSU. No, then I was Ben Jacobson is leaving after 20 years. He's heading to Utah State.

John Gross is leaving Akron to be the new men's basketball coach at Charleston. Texas and Michigan play the regional three final at seven o'clock Eastern time tonight. The women's tournament following that South Carolina and TCU at about nine o'clock eastern time in regional four. Now let's get you caught up to what's happening in the NFL. Super Rule 63 will be held in Las Vegas in February of 2029.

Minnesota Vikings will exercise the fifth year option or why to receive a Jordan Addison's contract. Ramson coach Sean McVeys says the team is considering signing free. It's in quarterback Kurt Cousins to back up Matthew Stafford. And Brad's quarterback should or Sanders is changing his uniform number from last season. He'll now wear number two after previously wearing number 12.

Hey, are you in a video game celebrities are just a good time. The global gaming league is a video game league with celebrity on teams. The braskin will take on Missouri at regularly feel that's all part of the big ten SEC challenge. Women's volleyball just growing at a super fast pace. It will take place Sunday, September 6th. That'll be Labor Day weekend. So some outdoor volleyball to take in guys back to you.

Thank you Dan buyer. You know, I was just thinking about all these nippet and the bud excuses. No, and I was thinking about when he said Super Bowl is going to be back in Vegas. It's a quick little flight for us, right? That'll be one to look forward to.

You know, I was thinking when he was talking about Justin Gainey. I was thinking that was a nice little polite way of saying that you gained some weight. No, just a little Gainey.

The greatest excuse that we all use probably to nip it in the bud is to always approach a social situation.

Like, oh, man, I'm exhausted. Just to sort of, like, head to your sort of weak. If I dip out, I told you. Yeah, like, oh, man. Then I feel to great.

We always do these things just to give us some wiggle room. All right.

Well, do you think about your wiggle room while I tell people coming up?

You know, I'm getting my wiggle room renovated just so you know. Yeah, do floor. Yeah, and you're not invited. There's an MBA star that might be changing the game of dating. He might be, he might be opening the door to a whole new relationship out there.

We'll explain a lake or in the news. We'll get to that. Plus, we got last one standing a fun game of play every Monday. All coming up right here on Fox Sports Radio. "Caraband." "For months." One, three, eight, you win!

Oh, he got it! He hit the law, three pointer, from the logo, with three tenths of a second left to go.

I don't believe it. You've got his take of a lead. It was a little, it was a little, p-webber in there. Hey, did it! Fast, and free backed by free-road hazard protection with convenient installation options, like mobile-tire installation, tire rack.com, or tire buying should be. Is that redemption, like 30 plus years in the making? Oh, Sam, you should have played redemption song, bro. You blew it!

You blew it! Damn, shun, song. Hey, you can have cambooser. Can we talk about this for a minute? Can we give a thumbs down to the Duke medical staff? This is the weakest, some of the weakest stuff I've ever seen. Danny G, nail on the head. Danny G's are super-producer. If you ask yourself, "Covine on red, where do you get all these great ideas? How do you guys do it?" Well, a big part of it, and a tip of the Sienki cap goes to Danny G.

How do you do it? We put our heads together, but Danny G's like, "Hey, where do you think it is?" Pets together, like, early in the referee, and a lot of the times. A lot of times we're all on the same wavelength, right? Because we all see the same things. Where's a cute man? Did you see Kim Booser with a dude? Did you see the medical staff trying to take the swelling down with a soda can? A soda can to the face.

That's what they were using as like a cold compress. You know how box you're supposed to have?

I have a cold compress for my morning bags. Well, you're a vain sucker courtesy of Harrys. If anyone's looking for one. Harry's men products. I have one in my fridge. The medical staff for dupe doesn't have one, and that's no BS.

I really have, because I'm a fight fan. I've always wanted one.

I'm like, "Well, if it takes the swelling down, I don't want one because I wake up looking like Mr. McGoo. I wake up. I have luggage. I don't have bags. I have luggage, and I have a cold compress. I swear to God, do you have those little things on the horizon before bed like women do? They're going to strip. Was it a cucumber slices? Yeah, I traded the cucumber slices Sam for the cold compress. But they used a soda can. Does the type of soda can matter? I don't know. What kind was it, Danny?

Did you see? Oh, is it Dr. Pepper? I hear they're the best to take down the swelling. So what kind of stinking of the most low budget things you've ever seen? Well, I don't want to start thinking about it. You find it low budget if you're a little kid or you've got a bumps your knee. You don't grab like a bag of peas out of the freezer.

Like Scotty Smalls Mom and Sandlots, you grab a steak. It puts it right on his face. I can't say, "Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You use those things in emergency. There's no question. That's fine." I feel like that's sad. Yeah, but not from a medical staffer. This is a dupe medical staffer. So you said if someone had to come up with a bummed, you don't think a bag of peas at a college.

And now he probably has to take infection because, you know, you know, dirty those cans are dirty. And then the ones you were sticking your nose between Super Bowl weekend, Rich.

That's how they're. Okay. They're dirty.

They're dirty. I got proof. Fair. I got proof. I got proof. Folks will load a bunch of things. Do it next, right here. Camino Rich on a Monday, FSR. Ready for a different take on Formula One. Look no further than no grip.
