Hey, thanks for listening to the Filipino and Rich podcast.

Be sure to catch us live every week.

They can five to seven Eastern to the four Pacific on Fox Sports Radio. Find your local stations for www.cbeatoveritch at Fox SportsRadio.com or stream a slide every day on the iHeart Radio app like searching at F.S.R. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey,

we got it. Not only are we here, but baseball's back. Yeah, fish ball fish ball fish ball fish ball fish ball fish ball. Steve Cabino Rich Davis with Danny G, the super producer. Iowa Sam. A lot of baseball. Our Sam architect. He's the guy on the button.

Stand fire with great insight in your updates. And of course, you Fox Sports Radio Nation. Thanks for being here 877-99 on Fox. And a full belly. Thanks for everybody's chili jums. Oh, man. Chili jums is the best.

I still got some barbecue stuff right here. Chili jums in Burbank courtesy of them. We're fueled by them. Steve Cabino and Rich Davis. We'd be rocking out. We have lots of baseball to talk about. Let's go.

I mean, you should know we love Tom Brady.

There's a funny hypothetical and it has to do with the babe. Babe Ruth. And some USL, not NFL. USL rules. No, they do. They try these things out and then if they say that. And I'm like, no, do the NFL rules. And Rich, you know, you're just staying with the UFL.

No, but they try these weird rules. And sometimes, if they look like, oh, this is working. That's when the NFL says, oh, maybe we'll take a peek. So some new, like the NFL's new kickoff. That was originally the UFL.

So well, that's how things work sometimes. Consider it the minor leagues, just like the ABS system was used in the minor leagues for a good year plus before they actually implemented it here in the big. So we saw a history yesterday, Jose Caballero. It was sort of uneventful, but look, it's changing the game.

It's not going to take up a lot of time. How's it? Yeah, bro. He made his first challenge yesterday. And the umpires won. But hopefully everybody tuned in to see what the events were all about. Opening day baseball.

We're going to talk about it. I want to ask this question. Think about it before we tell you what else is coming up.

Why is our default setting always hating on something?

It's got to change. It's not good for your soul. It's not good for the psyche. It's not a good look when you lead with negativity all the time. Nobody likes you. Remember that. You're not a positive guy to be around.

You're no fun. Why is everybody's default setting? Something negative and hateful and always. Always pointing out the skepticism, the bad side, the negative things of everything. It sits human nature and it's, I don't know if it's always been like that.

I'm a firm believer and if you want to be successful, you hang around successful people.

If you want to be a depressed loser, hang around depressed losers. Because we're going to talk about opening day, opening night and everything Netflix brought. It was an all positive, but I thought it was pretty fun. We'll explain plus old school and 50 hits. We'll give away some prizes. We have lots to get to, but hey, dude, my Yankees, one last night.

You're met. You're looking good rich. One today. Congrats to them. You know, it's the icing on your team's the best. You know, it's the icing on the cake for Metz fans. I don't feel this way because I will wait.

The chili johns bring cake, too. Oh, cookies. The icing on the Metz cake, which is a, probably from the cake boss in New Jersey. Carlo bro. As of right now, let's see, I want to make sure nothing changed. But last I checked. Yeah, Peter Lanzo.

O for two with two strikeouts. I'm rooting for polar bread Pete as an orial, but when the Metz score 11 runs and everyone's hitting. And then you see the guy that got away goes, you know, offer with some strikeouts. It looks like, ooh, maybe, maybe the Metz is smarter than you thought. When the Metz unleashed on Paul schemes and they score 11 runs.

Yeah, you're looking great. Wishing all your teams a great season, great healthy season. Not everybody's going to have a winning season, but we hope you enjoy this baseball season.

It's always fun and it all started last night on Netflix.

Now, a lot of bars weren't able to pick up the game yesterday. That's a bit of a story, right? Because not everybody has like a Netflix subscription if they're on at the bar, but if you didn't watch it, we're not the scene cat. If there was no interest to check out the inaugural baseball broadcast for opening day 26, I don't know, I hope you had some big plans.

Like if you had a kids game to go to or something, I understand, I get all that. But to not be intrigued, to not take a quick glance, to not catch the highlights later on, that's odd to me. Well, you know, it was, you when you see a debut on Netflix. My first thought is, of course, is going to be a couple of things I need to work out.

Of course, it's the first game, but much like anything in life.

Everyone is, they think they're King Jaffrey from Game of Thrones.

They think they're walking Phoenix and gladiator with their thumb, ready to point up or down, like kill him.

It's like, I don't get the default to negative, like you said. Because last night, there were things that I saw. And I'm like, oh, that's cool. That's it. They're trying something new. The feedback I saw was taking a big dump on all the stuff that I thought was sort of cool. Can I give you three things that I thought were cool? It was very overboard. But I don't mind it because I'm a fan regardless.

This is a big Mexican word rich regardless. And a lot of Mexican dudes love to say. Shut up, shut up to Freddy Soto. Late great comedian. He said that is that his Mexican dad used to love the word regardless. I'm watching, you're watching, regardless.

Here's a few things. Now, we saw what Banana Ball has done. The Savannah Banana is selling out stadiums everywhere. The world baseball classic Dominican guys flipping bats and doing dances. And, you know, these Latino countries bring in an energy that just couldn't be matched.

Oh, man. So fun. We all talked about how baseball was going to step it up with the enthusiasm. I'll give you three things I saw that I said, that's a cool thing. Yeah, maybe it worked, maybe it didn't, but cool effort.

And you go on social media.

And everyone thinks they're a programming expert. I almost want to be like, if you were the president of Netflix. What would you do? Well, let's be fair. Because I guarantee a lot of people listen to had their opinions and didn't like everything.

We open it up. Just for the fun of conversation.

What would you have done if you think that X, Y, and Z was a whack idea?

What would have been better? What would you have added or taken out? It's fair. It's fun. 877-99 on fire. The only criticism that I was like, all right. Well, that's a fair criticism, but it's not being mean.

Our pal John Boy. I'm with you. Yeah. Said you got to keep the, you got to keep the score on the screen at all times. There was a few moments. One of particular John Boy pointed out where they had no, there was no score.

Bugs of people had problems with that. We'll get to that. But there was no score. It was not no count. No nothing. And it's like, hey, you can't have that in today's game.

It's not the 90s where you're like, well, let's score. Yeah. But wait for them to flash it. Is it a bar strike? Got it.

You need to know. But that's like a little, that's so easily correctable.

And I'm sure someone's first Netflix broadcast.

Yankees and Giants come in. They have Aaron Judge and all the Yankees come out onto the field for introductions. And they have two New York City taxi cabs. And then on the other side, they have San Francisco Trollies and the Giants come in there. Oh, hold on.

But Trollies and taxi cabs dancers, fanfare, choreography, pyro. And you know what? I'm all for it. You know why? It was marketed as an event.

Yeah. It's open tonight. And you're coming off WBC like you said. Help bring the fun. You got social media.

What's with all this BS, stupid taxi cabs and Trollies?

I get it. You might have said that cheesy. But can you see someone was given a ton of money at Netflix? Hey, put together a production. All right.

San Francisco, New York, taxi cabs, Trollies. And then, bird krisher is in right field in the bay. Well, he's actually on the field at the beginning. And then announcing the start of baseball season. And it's crazy to see his career.

He's in the club to that level. But birds in a kayak. Yeah. And I'm like, all right. One of the hottest comedians, like I'm or not, shirtless.

Got a show on Netflix. We love bird krisher. There's a pelivars. People hated that. And then people like Barry Bones.

He's on the broadcast. I don't know. Do you mean the best player of the last 50 years? Yeah. You know how we were supposed to have insight from Michael Jordan and the NBA.

We actually were getting, we were getting insight from Barry Bones and baseball. Are you be the best player ever? I love the part where he showed you how to properly apply the clear. Let's go. Dude, I thought, hey, he went viral with that Yankee story.

Yeah. He had a lot of great insight. A lot of people I get the criticism was he does make things a lot about him. He hung up on your grandpa Steinbran. No, hey, he did miss that story because not everybody watched.

He did tell the story that he had a chance to be with the Yankees. And the biggest and biggest contract in baseball history at George Steinbran is said, All right, we got a deal. Biggest contract of sports. You're going to be a Yankee.

Sign the contract by two o'clock. So he gave him like a two PM deadline in Barry Bones. Let his ego get in the way and sign by two o'clock. He hung up the phone up the phone and stayed a giant. And he said, nah, you know what?

I'll just stay home then. You'll tell me what to do on Barry Bones. But he told that story. And he said that he felt free to tell it because George Steinbran There's no longer with us.

So he told that story. And as soon as you heard it, you're like, well, that's a viral story. That's that's worth his money. He's getting for this broadcast right there. Because everybody's been talking about that.

And sure enough, they were. But you had Barry Bones.

Please, hold on.

Yeah. You had Barry Bones. You had Anthony Rizzo. And you had Albert Pools. Then in the booth, you had Matt Veskersian.

Call him the game. You had Hunter Pence. You had C.C. Sabathia. You had James Winston. You had all sorts of things.

If anything, my only criticism is, You had a lot going on. Is all of that needed? Yeah. Yeah.

You had Hunter Pence. You had C.C. Sabathia. You had James Winston. You had all sorts of things. If anything, my only criticism is, you had a lot going on.

Is all of that needed? I don't know. But I will say this. It's opening day, man. And they promised an event.

Look, you don't want to over-promise and under-produce over-promise and under-deliver. They said it was going to be an event. They kind of gave us an event. So that's where I'm like, alright.

There was a lot going on. But I understand. This is a big inaugural broadcast for the 20/26 season.

First time ever on Netflix.

So my question is, simply, Well, what would you have done? Because I get it. The instinct, like we said, is to sort of be a complainer. But then what would you have done?

Well, Mike, big Michael runs this place.

And that's why I love our show, because I think we are fair.

And we do want to hear all sides to it. Who? Michael runs this place. Big Mike? He gets it.

And he does understand, like, yeah, man. You know, they've got to move into the future and make it exciting for these younger fans and casual fans and Netflix and all that stuff. I get it. It goes, but you got to let the game be the star.

Is that your criticism? If so, I think that's kind of fair. Here's the thing. Does baseball need all of that? Not really.

But baseball still was the star in my opinion. Yankee's giants. So I just think it added to the fun. Let baseball be the star. Is that how you feel?

Because if you're complaining about all the fanfare and the excitement, then honestly, you're just an old guy complaining, and yelling at the clouds, it's not to win you over. It's to win over these these casual fans, these younger people. Not to sound sexist, but even women who are like, what is this?

It just is fun. It was fun. You know, it's like, it's like when I get it. Like old white dudes are like, who's doing the halftime show at the Super Bowl? It's not for you.

They're trying to attract a younger different audience. It's not always about you. Or like when when they do make changes in sports, it's always the older generation that wants to resist it.

And I hate to tell them, but the answer is always, yeah, you're going to die soon.

There's other people who got to accommodate. You're like, I'm old, give me, give me, give me, give me, give me, you're old. How about this?

If you're 80, 90-year-old, dad of grandpa's like, you're going to like, do we baseball is now?

Well, guess what? They're, they got one foot in the grave. They're worried about young kids. Rich Davis is calling out you old guys, just for the record. I don't care. They're probably died before they got their ratings book.

97, 97, 97, 97, 97, 97, 97. I bet you Iowa Sam has an opinion because he's got the personality of an 85-year-old guy. Let us show. I get the hell out of my house. Can't wait to hear Iowa Sam says.

I don't have Netflix. I really don't care. I guarantee it. I have Netflix now. I have Netflix now.

I love it. Well, that was advertisement. I was here. I was here. I thought for sure Sam had it on his transmiter radio.

He was like, "Here's another guy." I was like, "Yes, I was." I actually don't even pay for it. My mom pays for it. I can watch on my laptop.

I thought it was a really interesting Sam to see. Just, just... Hold on, hold on. I have, okay, do you want to know all the streaming services I have? I do, but one second.

I've got to ask the ladies listening. If you met a dude and he used his mom's Netflix, is that okay? She doesn't have to know. Why do I have to disclose those in that information?

What's your mom's name? If you don't mind me. So when you sound up to Netflix, and that's like, "Hello, Susan." [laughter] What's up with that?

It's a delicate dance, because you flip it around. That Sam gives his mom a Netflix subscription. Then he looks like a nice fella. Ladies love it. Yes, they would absolutely fall.

So that's the story you should go with Sam to be like a Spine.

It's like in the 2000s when Kavino still lived at home. He told Hot Women in Jersey. He'd meet girls at the club and be like, "Yeah, let these two old people live upstairs." [laughter] He worked there.

He knew your parents though though. Just do old people out there. Why are there pictures of them in your band? They're very kind. They're very nice.

They're kind of like them. But no, it's funny. Because I absorb my mother's stuff to be kind of like, my mom's on my cell phone plan. I pay for her stuff.

But Sam, do that. Switch it around. Have it say, "Hello, Sam." I pay for peacock. I pay for YouTube TV.

I pay for Amazon Prime. You can't afford all this stuff. She wanted me to watch something on Netflix, like here. I can loan you the log in account.

You can watch on your laptop. So that's what I did.

Here's what I do understand.

I understand that it's the first broadcast. And it's Vascersion, Hunter Pence, CC Subathia. You know, guys like pool holes in Barry Bonds. You're going to watch from a critical light to see what they're bringing to the table. Wait, that's what a pencil.

I thought it was a dude from home alone.

No, it sounds like that. Yeah. You're going to, you can't help.

But watch from a critical standpoint and say,

"Huh, are these guys any good? Do they have chemistry?" But you also have to keep in mind that is their first broadcast.

And it's only going to get better from here, right?

But you're watching from this critical standpoint. And it shouldn't be that way. You got to like check your brand of the door. Just enjoy it for what it is. And enjoy the experience.

I was noticing the Netflix mic flags. Meaning like the little Netflix logo on that. Just the little things. The camaraderie they seem to have. They're inside.

I thought it was all pretty good. And again with the standpoint of it's only going to get better. Let me not be too critical. And then you go to social media. And like we established already.

It's just everybody burying the silliest of things. And the score bug was another one. It's like, are you really that mad? And here's what I have to say.

If the score bug is really bothering you that much,

then your life must be pretty damn good. If you're taking the time to complain about the score bug on the Netflix broadcast on social media. I mean, I guess you got some time on your hands. And life's not that bad.

Because life's way more serious. A little more deep than how how small the graphics are. The score bug, which is.

You know, the little thing that chose the score and pitch count.

And who's a lot of people complaining about that. But I thought it was cool. Like a modern look. Like a different team. Let me you expect a different take from Netflix.

Let me give you an analogy that might just change your perspective a little bit. But our buddies from Chile, John's are here. Great bar pub, their tap room. Oh, you're burbank. Yeah, it's the spot, Chile, John's. We do a little catering job once a month for the team.

Look at us. Nice guy. And imagine if people went to your restaurant, which is full of great menu items. And everyone just decided, I want to lean negative.

So I don't like the lighting in here. I don't like it. Oh, you know what? I did to Donald. You're asking like, we don't live that in our career.

If we're filling in for especially Colin Coward because they're so accustomed to Colin and what he's going to bring to the table in his style of radio. When you turn that on and you hear, let's say, Kavino and Rich filling in or whatever. Your default isn't.

Hey, let me give these guys a shot. They seem entertaining. Their default is this isn't Colin. I hate these guys. Meanwhile, we haven't said anything yet.

Right? So it's just we need to change our default. Let it simmer. Watch it. Take it for what it is.

And then make an assessment. If you go to social media, you think everybody hates this. And it's like, why? I think Netflix is on to something. It got me pumped for this season.

And again, it's not for you. They got you regardless as for these younger cats. And for the casual fans who just want to see entertainment. That's it. Did you bring that Netflix to the good job?

Did you bring up Colin? I did. Hold on. Hold on. You love this.

Every play, every stat, every story. And I've got it all. What do you want to know? Hey Colin.

What did you think of Netflix coverage of baseball last night?

Netflix's baseball debut was a classic mixed bag. Big game editor. And then they stepped on their own toes.

You cannot miss the first automatic ball strike challenge in major league baseball

history because you're doing a manager interview. It's basically, that's the ball game. The booth had juice. The presentation had moments. But the production stuff screamed new to baseball.

You honest. Did it feel like a baseball broadcast or a Netflix promo real with a game happening in the background? Ooh. Ooh.

You got the color. You got the color. Hold on. There. I can't predict that though.

And that is some of the criticism today. I saw the news and we're all going to turn into that show Wednesday. Oh, we're going to talk about that too. Yeah, I mean, you had to expect that though. Of course, that flick is going to incorporate some some Netflix stars and things to promote

their brand. It's their broadcast. But they were interviewing giants manager Tony Vytelo. And that's when cover year old challenged the pitch. So it all happened sort of at once and it made it anti climactic.

But the whole challenge was sort of anti climactic at the end of the game. So Barry bonds and pull holes. A lot of those guys were saying, if you're going to challenge that pitch when you're up five nothing. Back in the day, you had got some high heat to the face.

Like there was no need for that challenge. So you really can't. You couldn't have foreseen that happening in that moment. But you don't have to claim the Netflix production team for going to an interview at that moment.

Why was cover year old challenging then anyway? Yeah. I'm not mad at it. It's been happening. It was just bad timing.

It's like giving here one of your local broadcasters and baseball. I'm sure every city's got their own team that they love. Someone starts a good story in this two outs. And you're like, they're starting a story now.

Sometimes a guy will foul off three pitches get ahead and the story ends.

And then sometimes he just starts a story.

And it's like, and that is why Vin Scully was so legendary. He had perfect timing and timing all the time. What it happens though, right? Like, they're like, hey, let's go down. We'll check it with Steve Galebs.

He's he's see what the family of the rookie. You know, and then there's like two outs. And you know, they're starting this now. Oh, they better hope. There's a couple foul vests or a door deep count.

That's why I went to the Kurt Henning School of Broadcasting.

I don't know if you guys are. It's like when you guys want to take a call and we're 30 seconds from the heart out. Oh, that's rich. No, no. Rich is the type of guy.

That's why I blame Rich. Because he's guy is a blabbermouth. That's true. Rich Davis type of guy. We're already saying our goodbye.

So all right. Hey, hey, it was a great time. Great to see you. And that's when he wants to have a com. He starts up a whole new conversation at the, uh, was it the foyer?

Was it the foyer? Was it the foyer? Was it called when you leave the foyer? Right. When you're already there, put our coats on.

And this guy is bringing up a whole other conversation. So why would you do that? Why would you do that? They need to write that with dead. I would say I'm a whisperer.

About your 30 seconds. I don't know that. Let's go to John and Philly. Yeah. That's right.

The environment. Because I can do it. You're kind of into the empire's update because you want to take a phone call. I'm convinced he can be brief.

Well, I don't blame Netflix per se because I think that was peculiar timing to challenge.

And, you know, they're just pulling out all their tricks for the opening game. A lot of interviews. I also noticed that I felt like they boosted up the mic levels. Like you heard the glove popping. You heard the fanfare.

You heard the cheering going on. Like, I feel like you heard theatrical. Yeah. But I, you know what, man? I'm open to it.

That's the thing. Like, you don't have to like it, right? Just like you don't have to like us. All I ask is be open to us. Give us a chance.

We got to give Netflix a chance. Give him a chance. It's the first game. That's it. As a baseball fan, I'm telling you, give it a chance.

It wasn't that bad. And I think overall rich. I don't want to paint this picture that everybody hated it. But there was a lot of people quick to jump at the criticism.

Instead of saying, it's always like, it's always the loud minority, right?

How many people are going to yell to say, you know what? I went there. It was fantastic. It's always going to be the people that are complaining that are the loudest. And you did see that.

But overall, I thought it was a great time, a great job. We'll get your feedback next nine. You're thoughts at 877-99 on Fox and coming up. We're going to talk a little football. We'll get back to baseball at his opening day.

But there's a Tom Brady story that I think.

Can't go under the radar because I think Tom Brady was close to doing something that would have been amazing. Amazing. Almost. Get to that.

Plus, some UFL rules that I wonder. Could they work in the NFL? We'll get to some football. And we got old school today. We're going to talk about the babe, favorite with a funny hype about that.

Limited time offer. Hi. This is Jay. I'm the producer of the Paulian Tony Fusco show. Usually in these promos, they ask you to listen to the show.

I'm here to ask you, please don't listen to the show. The hosts are two absolute morons who have the dumbest takes on sports imaginable. Don't listen to the show. So we can get camped.

What the hell are you doing in our studio? Get em' Paul. Ignore that fool. Listen to the Paulian Tony Fusco show on the iHot Radio app. Or wherever you get your podcasts.

He's still moving. I'm John Green. You may know me as the author of the Faulkner stars. And now, I guess also is the co-host of The Away End. A brand new world soccer podcast.

I'm Daniel Alargon, a writer and journalist. And John and I have known each other since we were kids.

My first World Cup was Mexico 86.

I was nine years old. I watched every game and I fell in love.

On our new podcast The Away End,

we'll share with you the magic of international football. All leading up to the 2026 World Cup.

For us, soccer football is a story we've shared for over 30 years.

Since Daniel was the star player on our high school soccer team, very debatable. And I was their most loyal and sometimes lonely fan. I love this game. I love it's history, it's hope, it's heartbreak.

And above all, it's beauty. Together, we'll find out why of all the unimportant things.

Football, soccer is the most important.

Listen to The Away End with Daniel Alargon and John Green. On the I-Heart Radio App, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Sounds like AI Colin has it default setting to negative. Co-Vino in Rich, trying to be positive about opening night,

opening day baseball yesterday. Also trying to be realistic and fair. Meaning it was the first ever broadcast. Yeah. And how do you argue that they put their efforts in?

It's a perfect, absolutely not. But you know what? You know it was even better and bigger than that. Like it felt big to me. And I think that's what you want.

Like you just want things to feel big. And it was a big event. And that's how I felt watching it. I will see this. I'm surprised nobody said it yet.

As far as criticisms, what about the fact that not everybody has... Netflix? Not everybody has Netflix. I mean, not everybody.

That's the same can play with the NFL when Amazon took over Thursday and after football. Yeah.

That's never been annoying.

And I remember thinking like, whose wife or family doesn't have prime and Amazon? Like everyone has that. If you don't want to grow, I won't agree with you there. If not everybody does grow.

We're very fortunate in a lot of ways. And not everybody has that.

Just another streaming service you have to have.

You want to watch this game. So if that's your plan is on prime. But if that's your plan, I think that's a fair complaint. As far as these little things. Here's what I thought was odd.

I thought it was peculiar that during the post game. They brought out Trent Grishom and Max Fried. And they started serving them hot dogs. And not only did I find it peculiar. If you look at their facial reactions,

Trent Grishom was like, what's going on here? Yeah, but you know what it's like. But it's like giving a turd duck in on Thanksgiving. Yeah. It was fun.

Whatever. But it was different. To me, he gave him Netflix jackets and everything. 22% of Americans have Amazon. Yeah.

See, like, Rich pretends in his own bubble that everybody has it. Let me break the news to you. 22% is not everybody. Oh, it moves to you. It's 139 dollars.

Blaster. That's one in five. Rich. Is it new slash buddy? Is it new slash buddy?

Uh, a top white guy you. That phrase. Yeah. I'm trying to speak your language. New slash.

New slash buddy. Not everybody has it. Um, a hundred and thirty nine dollars for the year and you get free packages delivered and you get prime. Give me a break. Something to cheap.

Get everybody. And not everybody was hating on it. But I did see a lot of that on social media. Yes. But it's great.

The positive. It felt big. The positive. Baseball's back. The positive.

It's only going to get better from here. So because we're flooded with negative. I do want to give you some positive. I don't want to, I don't want to overdo it. Like I'm hanging from the, uh, the nuts of MLB.

But I just think that even if it didn't hit, you got to say that they took the right chances. Like, all right. Very funny comedian, Burke Krasher. Hey, involved him for some levity. Hey, how do you want to do the intros?

We got some money. We got a budget. I don't know. Charlie cars in New York City cabs. All the, all the swings they took.

Even if they missed, I still think they would the right swings if that makes sense. And hey, after the game post game, uh, instead of just a regular interview,

why don't we give out hot dogs to the player of the game?

It's baseball. Like these are interesting.

But again, we're extra critical.

Can't help but notice. What are they doing here? Giving hot dogs? All right, whatever. It is what it is.

And Rich, I think you said it best. You got to take some swings. You got to take some swings and pun intended. Let's put it that. I know.

Not everything on the show or not anyone, not everything anyone does on any show works. I mean, think of the evolution, the energy of some of our games, right? They became the game that's successful because we tried something else. And that doesn't really work. But you know what those, this works.

Yeah. Last one standing. Last one standing started out as a game. I called prime numbers where I was doing jersey numbers. Yeah, and now that's like our most fun game.

And it didn't work and it evolved into something that did. Let's move along. I said Tom Brady is a broadcast or a great example of something that evolved. How about Tom Brady the quarterback? Danny G.

I feel like I'm shocked to you that have more interest in this as a possibility. It came out there. Because I know it's not possible.

It came out that Tom Brady had actually inquired about what are the possibili...

if I wanted to unretire.

I think that flag football got as juices flowing.

And listen to Tommy Boy. Here he is. I actually have inquired. And they don't like that idea very much. So I'm going to leave it at that.

We explored a lot of different things. And I'm very happily retired. Let me just say that too. You know what's funny about that? My girlfriend.

I always put me on a spot.

Do you think Tom Brady would want a place? I bet you he would still want to play. What if he did? And I'm like, get out of here. It's not even a chance.

He's done. He's got all his money. He's in the booth. He's ownership. Not happening.

That's like your girlfriend was right. Yeah. I hope she doesn't get into the story. Because he really did inquire. Wow.

He really can't let it go.

But asking about it and kind of day dreaming about it and then getting hit by a big defensive end.

Those are two different things. And let me get this right. Correct me if I'm wrong, Danny. It's against the NFL rules. Obviously as he part on or he'd have to divest his ownership stake.

Correct. Divest.

They call it a conflict of interest.

It's a conflict of interest. So yeah. I mean, make sense. And clearly, that's not going to happen. I mean, there's so much more profitable things.

I really didn't think his mind was even there. Correct. For a instead of a guy approaching 50 that's done it all. He's got hundreds of millions of dollars as a broadcaster. A stake in a major NFL team playing doesn't make sense.

But I said to Danny though, what if right? Yeah. What if Tom Brady played a year as the Raiders quarterback. And was a complete mentor to Mendoza. I said that.

You think you the only one that thought of that? That didn't say. I told Danny. I told him. But he could be a mentor without having to suit up right now.

If he were to sell his minority ownership stake, then he could get signed by any team. Because he wouldn't be involved with the Raiders and that's true. I just look at it. That would be perfect. I just felt like, you know what?

He could advise from you like you said, not on the field. But if you're looking for a one year deal. Because it doesn't curb cousin still an option. Right? Isn't that sort of like one of those like, oh, that could be a good fit.

Cousins knowing that Mendoza is like in the wings, but he's cool. Being the starter for now. You're telling me the Raiders can't take his ownership stake and put it to the side to let this guy potentially play. Well, they're not being a mentor to. They're not bomber of the clippers.

They're not that slick. Yeah. But that would be it. All right. All right.

I got slick. Who about that? Who better than the mentor? Mendoza than a Tom Brady. You know what you're forgetting.

You're forgetting how it would likely be at the zaster in our last taste of Tom Brady would be like not good. Like, oh, remember you tried that. Another comeback with the Raiders like he played for Tampa. He want a Super Bowl. Then he had like an MVP level year got kicked out of the playoffs in a good game.

Tom Brady.

He finished like almost as close to a champion as you can, right?

So I don't think there's some teams that would want him. I mean, I think I would say absolutely, even for the spectacle. Yeah, just for the, yeah, exactly. No, but I think there's teams that could could use him. And I do think you're right here.

So one of them. Cleveland Browns would be on the phone immediately. Well, jets. Danny G, how about we do this? The phones are hot.

Let's see who's on the phone after we go to damn buyer for an update because I prioritize DMV. Yeah. I know why Rich wanted to go to me because I can play this. It's going to fly ball hit to center right at Cruz backing up. It's over his hand.

And come Soto Palaco right behind him. They all score his limit score.

Standard and going the third with a three run triple is pretty.

Matt Chase Paul schemes in the first inning allowed five earned runs on two thirds. Of an inning for schemes. Matt's ready to now work on the call. Matt's with getting an 117 victory over the pirates. And he's going to be a little bit more.
