Best in worst of the weekend is we always do every Monday.
What you saw that you liked. You didn't like dial us up, operator Tyler sitting by doing absolutely nothing. 877 3DP show. Stat of the day brought to you by Panini America, the official trading cards of the program. First hour brought to you by Tru Green.
Let them help you get a great quality lawn partnering with the official lawn care treatment provider, the PGA tour. So they know a thing or two about getting a golf course quality lawn these way. Sign up at TruGreen.com and then sit back and relax. All right.
Pull question, play of the day. Stat of the day. All of that forth coming. I have the point spreads for the next two games, the final four with March madness. We'll start there, then work our way back.
Illinois is favored by one and a half against Connecticut. Michigan is favored by one and a half against Arizona. Who needs Cinderella's? These were great games. The Michigan Arizona game, you're going to hear people say, "Wow, that should be for the
day's full title." Well, it's not. It's like Seattle against San Francisco, or, you know, "Hey, that should be for the Super Bowl, but it's not." USA Russia for the Olympic gold medal, but it wasn't.
It was the previous game. Illinois is, you know, you've got to watch them. And this is what happens with some of these schools. You're kind of forced to watch them because they're the ones playing in these big games. Illinois is not a fluke.
They are a big team, good team, got a really good coach. And, you know, watching that game against Iowa, they're relentless. And, you know, I look at Yukon. I don't think this is a great Yukon team, not even a really good team. It's just a team.
And sometimes that's all you need when you get to this point in the season. And Danny Hurley's done a great job. You know, I don't think they have a go-to guy, and they hung in there.
You're down 15 against Duke.
You don't lose.
Duke doesn't lose those games.
Right? If they do, it was 19 points at one point in the game. And then you start to look, Duke's last four losses. Led by 14 against Houston in the final four, lost. Led by 17 against Texas Tech, lost.
Led by 13 against North Carolina, lost. Led by 19 against Connecticut yesterday, and lost. Ooh, style of the day, style of the day, style of the day, style of the day. This is the style of the day. Staddle the day brought you by opiniony America, 10 seconds left in the game, and Duke had a
time out, possession arrow to Connecticut. And, you know, these are things you take for granted.
You want the ball in your ball handlers hands, and they had that.
Do you know, do you panic in a moment like that? Yes. Do things, you know, they speed up, you know, same thing with Chris Weber. If you know, you can't call a time out, but you get in that moment and you call a time out.
“You start to look at, okay, did you try to go over the top?”
Could you go over the top? You're trying to, if you get it over the top, you get a dunk. The game is over, or worst case scenario, let them value, or, you know, you don't want to get the possession arrow, then all of a sudden Connecticut is going to have more time on the clock.
But you can't call time out, and, you know, I'm sure John Shire said, all of those things to his team in that last time out. But here is the head coach of Duke, starting with the question. What was going through your mind on that last position? Well, yeah, you just, we just have to secure it, right?
I mean, we got it, they had to fall. I was ready for a time out, and we just got a hold on. And, you know, it's easy to look at that play. I look at every play that happened, especially in the second half. This is not about one play.
It's about every play to put it's in that position.
“And that's what you don't want to do, or one play something can happen.”
And so, for me, look, it's going to be tough, but it's not going to be on one play. And he's right about that, give Connecticut credit for staying in that moment. Your down 15, your down 19, but you're chipping away little things, rebounds, turnovers, points off turnovers. That was the difference.
Duke played a perfect first half, perfect. And when Charles Barkley said, I don't see Connecticut coming back, I go, Connecticut's
going to win this game, because Charles is never right on its bets.
But they hung in there, and this is how it sounded. Here is the Duke call on the game winner. Booser, followed it back for Sean, he's to get rid of it, does for Cated. Seven seconds, trying to throw it ahead, deflected, stolen by Connecticut. Two seconds, it's mollins up top for the win.
Oh, hit it. With three cents of a second ago, that'll kind of spit right off the bench. That should be a technical, though with three cents of a second ago, Connecticut has the least 73 to 72. That's the courtesy of the blue double sports network.
Yes, Paul. People on social media, when they heard the Duke announcer try to grab a technical for a player on the bench, running two steps out of the court to celebrate. They said, that's the most duke thing of all time. There was another game yesterday.
That was one of the, oh, by the way, oh yeah, Michigan ended up winning here.
“You're like, who's the other team that played yesterday?”
Oh, that's right. I got the title odds, according to draft Kings. Michigan and Arizona have the best odds. They play each other, then it's Illinois and Connecticut. So which Arizona and Michigan plus 175 Illinois is plus 400 UConn plus 550.
Here is the UConn call of the game winner. I'm going to lose at the double them back to the start. Now I hit the Kaden Booser and the steel. Mullins gets it. It's parapam to Mullins long range three.
That's courtesy of the UConn sports network from Lairfield. And you know, that's not a heave. That was just a long jumper for a kid who in high school made about 47% of his three pointers. He was one of the Mr. Indiana basketball players.
And you know, 20 years ago, he doesn't end up in Connecticut. He's at Indiana, but boy, times have changed. And you start to look at the list of great players that Connecticut has had and has nothing
Really to show for it.
Duke, I should say, Jason Tatum Zion Williamson Cooper flag, Palo Ben Carroll, Cam Booser,
“Con, Can Apple, RJ Barrett, Cam Reddish, Marvin Bagley, you know, I think it was probably”
10 years ago when we had Coach K on and I said, you know, would you rather have the one and done or have the guy who's staying there three or four years? He said, you can't pass up the one and done. And this isn't necessarily an indictment on the one and done because you can't pass up Zion or Cooper flag or the Boosers, but you do need those season guys you do.
And I think, you know, UConn's approach is let's get one of those guys and then we're going to have guys who are going to stay two or three years or maybe four years with read. And you do need that.
But it was fun to watch because it was halftime and I thought, I got to find something
else to do and then we watch the golf and then all of a sudden flip back and I go, all right, they get it to like seven and then they got it to seven and you get it to five and then all of a sudden it's three now all of a sudden, that's where you wonder when we talk about come back.
“How much energy do you have once you get back in your tide or getting really close?”
It takes a lot of energy to get to that point. You're down 15, you're down 19, nothing's going your way. You're not shooting well at all. UConn was five or 23 from three point range out rebounded by six and they still won. But what three of those five came in the last couple of minutes, those were the big ones
and Raylan Mullins, Darren Revelle, who keeps track of these things, said that the basketball from that shot maybe worth up to $350,000. Why wonder where that ball is? I don't know how you get it. See it's weird.
Is it yours? No, it's just basketball, whole of fame and it's one of those shots that's going to be worth a whole lot more if Duke wins their Connecticut wins the national championship. By the way, there's so many people who had no interest in either team probably except for please don't let Duke win.
That's it. It's not necessarily, hey, I'm rooting for Connecticut, you're rooting for Connecticut because you're not rooting for Duke. I started to wonder, is there any other school and it's a tribute to Duke that, you know, Notre Dame football, Yankees, Ovelstia throw in the Cowboys, the Lakers, maybe, where you just
don't want them to win. And it feels like Duke is above all of them, that we can't agree on anything as a country.
“But I think for the most part, people agree they don't want to see Duke succeed.”
This isn't a team you dislike, I mean, the boosers, I mean, shires, you know, there's nothing antagonistic or he's not wild or crazy like Dan, he's not polarizing, it's just the history. And it's a testament to that brand that it still resonate, people don't dislike Notre Dame like this.
I mean, you like their head coach, the Lakers, okay. The Yankees, they haven't won, you know, Cowboys, they haven't won. Yeah, pulling. I think it's 100% right, Duke is at a different echelon of people enjoy watching them lose no matter who it's to.
You just take the other side because they really haven't had a long-term dip, you know, past 10 years haven't been great, but it's not a dip dip. We will talk to Seth Greenberg for the mothership, he'll stop by watching Michigan, Michigan Arizona, man, they don't mess around, even though Arizona wasn't making their threes, but Michigan with Dusty mag.
So in his last four years, he brought Florida at Lannick to a final four, brought Michigan
to the sweet 16 in his first year in Ann Arbor, now he has the Wolverines in the final
four. I did reach out to a college source, I said, hey, what are the chances that these two coaches coaching in the Michigan and Arizona game are one of the two is going to go to North Carolina, and I was told that as of late last night, North Carolina doesn't believe that either one will be leaving their schools, and North Carolina still not sure about the
Kansas situation, they don't want to lose a great candidate. Early Donovan is still in focus on their radar at North Carolina, and as my source said, he has not said no, and people he listens to, one him out of Chicago, sure there's
Probably some others, he's not listening to that one amount of there, but yeah.
So that's as of late last night, my source, you start to look at the largest, blown leads in tournament history.
“I own a blue a 25 point lead in 2012, Maryland a 22 point lead in 2001, since an”
atty in 2018 to 22 point lead, less Virginia 05, 20 point, Tennessee in 07, 20 points, North Carolina, this year's tournament, 19, Duke this year's tournament, 19. But with the advent of the three pointer and the proliferation of three pointers taken into game, you get that opportunity to come back, because if you make them, you can make the come back and if you're missing them, you allow for the come back.
Alright, see what's Paul question for the first hour of the program.
Is the classic right here, Duke, blue that game, or you can't want it. I'll Duke blue that game, I mean, you can't be up by 19 and then forget how you got up by 19, because they played defense, they were so great on the perimeter plan defense. And then all of a sudden, they forgot, yeah, I was told yesterday during the game, North Carolina is playing not to lose in the second half.
And it felt like you con, and maybe Danny Hurley just said, hey, just keep going, chip away, chip away, chip away, chip away, hang in there. And you know, then they ended up getting those rebounds and points off turnovers were huge for them. And then all of a sudden, doubt starts to creep in when you have a 19 point lead and all
of a sudden, it's single digits.
“Now all of a sudden you're going, wait, what's happening?”
How do we get here? How do we hold on and survive? And it was too late, it felt like, no granted, it took a miracle turnover and three pointer, but you allowed Connecticut to have that moment where they could win the game. And they took advantage of it.
All right, 877 3D P-Show, we'll get to your phone calls and a best and worst of the weekend what you saw that you liked, you didn't like. excited about this. Pack tech, and a lot of things impressed me with the company. They approached us, they didn't think we'd ever be free agents after the partnership we had before, but they came in, did a demonstration, and those things are built like a tank. We also love that the grill can cook up to 1,250 degrees.
Well, 150? Yes. Every grill gets over 550 degrees, but we love the versatility, the durability, and the ability to be able to steer your stakes. We've broken in, and we love the partnership, so it's great.
Thank you. I know that a lot of people are curious about that after 10 years with Trigger, but meat Fridays are going to be a whole lot better with Rectac. Yes, Paul. The meat eating continues is what you're saying.
Yes, I, yes, indeed, I wasn't going to let that go. And the last two years. All right. 877 3D P show, email address [email protected], Twitter handle dp show. I've been there before when you speak to somebody after a loss, but they're professionals,
whether it was Mitch Williams giving up the home run to Joe Carter in the World Series in Toronto, Bill Buckner having the ball go through his legs. Now, that error, that game, didn't necessarily cost them that was game six. They could have won the World Series, but he's still sat there and answers those questions. Dennis Eckers late with Kurt Gibson, but these are professionals.
Kaden Booser had to sit there and he had to answer these questions.
He's 18 years of age.
“Now, granted, his father is a former professional player.”
His brother will be, you know, one of the top two or three picks in the draft, and he had
played a really good game, and he had to sit there and answer what happened. I turned the ball over, and I should have been strong with the ball, because of our team or season. What a coach, sir, saved before in that time out, before you guys were involved in the ball there.
I just thought we knew that they were going to try to be strong with the ball. It's tough. It's tough. I don't care if your dad's a former NBA player or not, or your brothers that they're on the team.
He sat there.
“That's courtesy of WRAL TV in North Carolina.”
The kids, it's easy for us to say, "Hey, what are you doing?" But I'd love to know what was said in the huddle. I'm going to guess that you know you have a time out, possession arrow is Connecticut. It's exactly 10 seconds, worst case scenario. Now you don't, Connecticut's trying to get the worst free throw shooter on the floor to get
the ball and then foul them. Booser was six for six from the line. It just happened quickly, and then all of a sudden you realize Connecticut's going to win this. Wait a minute.
It turned it over, and then all of a sudden pass, and then jumper, and then all of a sudden it's in a three or four tenths of a second left to go, but you know, I give him credit. 18 years of age, they didn't lose because of the turnover. They lost because of other turnovers, and the point scored on those turnovers. This is the one going to be singled out.
I get it. We're kind of a bottom line sports society of that play in that jump shot, but it's so much more than that, but that's one of those ones that, you know, you're trying to figure out what can you say to him, what can his dad say, mom say, brothers say, teammates coach,
there's nothing that eases the end of the pain, and he's probably never going to be
on the same team as his brother again, because his brother's going to the NBA now. I don't know if Caden is an NBA player. He's very good. Might be at Duke for four years, but that's a, there's a lot of things that probably went through his head that, yes, we lost. He's going to feel like he's the reason why you lost, and it's the last game I played with my brother, yeah, pulling.
I know basketball coaches were tweeting and people who played the game were tweeting said that was the wrong decision to start trying to throw a deep, but with the possession territories you can, I wouldn't think you'd want to just stand there and hold the ball and give them a chance for the tie up when there's two, six, eleven guys just down the court. Yeah, I was just wondering, can you throw, you know, worst case scenario, but it
happened so quickly. It's easy to say, oh, in that moment, he didn't think it was going to be tipped, but give, give, you know, Demory hit a three and made the tip, and we'll, well, forget about that, we'll remember Mullins with the jumper. We'll remember Booser with the turnover there, but Missile Wild wild finish, but one play didn't cost Duke, many plays cost Duke. If you just, the final one, we'll settle on now when it's easy
to do that, but the second half, they, they played not to, not to lose. Yeah, Mar, and
unfortunately for somebody like John Shire, I think now his reputation is he can't win big games or keep big leads. Remember, he had Cooper Flag in Conknitball last year in the Final Four against using when they were up with two minutes left in the game by a good stretch it, you know, and lost that game too. Connecticut scored 20 points off turnovers.
“You know, that's what brought him back. They played really good defense. I just thought Duke”
played the perfect half, and there'd be no reason to think, why would that stop? But it did, yeah, Paul. That list you gave of Duke players, they're almost all one and done guys. They didn't have a chance to get seasoned. I was looking at the UConn roster, the first seven players on UConn. Mullins is a freshman. Otherwise, it's three seniors and three juniors. That, that's, that's a lot about why that team can get past them.
Hey, you got Tatum Zion Cooper Flag, Paula Ben Carroll, Cam Booser, Conknitball, RJ Barrett, Marvin Bagley, Jared McCain, Cam Reddish, you know. I mean, there, it's, when you have freshman, and as we found out with Kentucky, it's kind of fraught with, you get into these tight moments. And we've said this before with Kentucky. I mean, Duke has become kind of
The new Kentucky, because Kentucky's not getting these players like they once...
nothing to show for. All right. Let's see. Chris and Syracuse. Good morning, Chris. What's
on your mind today?
“Hey, thanks, Dan. We got a fast source in a comment. And Dan, you were right after all”
the complaining about Aaron Judge going over five with four straightouts, uh, opening night. He's played in two games since and hovered in both. Like you said, you don't want him on your team. I'll take him on. And I wonder if on that last shot by Connecticut Bill Murray yelled out, it's in the hole. And, uh, to quote Joel and risky business, looks like University of Illinois, fighting Illinois night, going to the final four. And when it
five players on their roster from overseas, and they account for almost 60% of their scoring in over 50% of their rebounding, I wonder if this will be the trend new trend in college
basketball. Now that schools can pay their players. And my worst football head, it's first
to have a four point field goal on Saturday in the UFL game. You get four points for a field goal over 60 yards. The NFL can miss says that's a rule that he's playing with.
“Four points for a field goal in only six points for a touchdown. Yeah, I don't like it.”
All right. Thank you, Chris. Yeah. I missed the UFL this weekend. Oh, no. Yeah, I was busy. We taped it for you. I missed that. Zach and Knoxville. I Zach, what's on your mind today? Heidi, thanks for taking my call. Uh, best of the weekend, and best of the weekend was back come back in that shot by Yukon. And I just wanted to ask you, it didn't get much traction, no traction on the broadcast. But if you look on social media right after
Yukon hits that shot, the rest is going to look at see how much time is left on the clock. And him and Dan Hurley actually bump into each other. I'm glad there wasn't a technical foul, but have you seen that video and what are your thoughts on that? I wouldn't have called anything in the moment. Hurley is excited. He's not angry at anybody. He's not trying to bump the official. The officials is friend in that moment. Yeah, but I know the Duke
announcers wanted a technical call on the Yukon bench. I mean, they did start to run on
“everybody was grabbing everybody and yeah, I think that was the right no call in that”
situation. Uh, Gus and L.A. Hi, Gus. What's on your mind? Good morning, Mr. Christon. I'll bring the boys at a very weekend. That's the weekend man. Uh, both equally best of the worst. Uh, that game. Man, you got to feel like, you know, you got to feel for Booser in that moment. You know, it's like you know, he didn't do that, but at the same time it's not the kid's fault. He didn't blow the lead. You know, the
rest of the team did. It's on the team. Um, the best obviously shot. There's also a little bit of a worst of a weekend. And I'm blaming Fritz for something that he had not going to do with it. So if you boys remember all the way back a few years back, he did a little comedy skits where a little section rose seat number. And then like, I guess like, you know, like a week later, I met a concert beautiful girl there and everything
like that. I've been enjoying life and these people in front of me were having a ticket issue. And I'm listening to this talk. I'm definitely a good time, but I keep on hearing this guy be like, no, do these are our seats. Look, section, row seat number. And I'm like, I've got this beautiful woman here. Great concert. And I keep on picturing Fritzie fast forward to this past Saturday. I had a cousin of mine passed away. And, uh, he passed away
a month ago, but Fritzie, because he was a veteran. So they had to get like, name, like, naval permission to get like the view goal and all the Navy officers to come out and do the taps and all that, the presentation of the colors. So finally, they do it. And it's an emotional day there. We're at Rose Hills. I'm a Terry doing all this. And then finally, at the end, after they're done playing taps, the priest comes up and folks would like to
welcome everybody back to the church. Uh, there's a nice spread that's been put on by this Bernie and everything. And I'm sitting there, I'm like, Fritzie, and she's this Christ, really. Fritzie's line from Friday after I die. Yes, the Patrick family with like to invite everyone back their home for bagels and assorted pastries sort of pastries
is the funniest part. Can it be just pastries? Why is it always assorted pastries? They can't
just have chocolate chip cookies or something like that or canola. It's got to be a lot of rainbow cookies. You got to mix it up a little. David in Ohio. Hi, David, what's on your mind? Hey, Dan got a best and worst of the weekend. That's the weekend. Definitely you fine. Great in that three at the end of the game to take down dudes. I've only imagined Marvin signing hands. Searing after that three on down. We're seeing the weekend. Tiger Woods
Getting into more trouble this half weekend.
be have to get more three content? Thank you. Okay. Thank you, David. Yeah, we'll talk about
“the Tiger Woods situation. You know, Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock and you roll your”
SUV going through a neighborhood, going too fast. But we'll talk about that. You know, I'm not here to lecture or preach or any of that. It's sad. But I just hope the people around him. It's called tough love and Tiger's still a brand. But man, this isn't a one-off, even two. I mean, this is a pattern. It's a habit. And he clearly needs help. And hopefully, those who, you know, you get a lot of people who are paid to say yes. You know, you get handlers
who were paid to say yes. And that's, this is in a situation where you just say yes. Mark and St. Cloud. Hi, Mark. Welcome back. And a couple of things here. Best of the weekend. Got to see a lumberjack representing the St. Cloud and said to me to sell an area. Winning their fifth razor cup championship out of St. Louis and a three-HL hockey. Worst of the weekend, replacement arrest being talked about for the NFL as a Packer fan. I already have PTSD with just
any talk of a replacement. And poll question possibility. And I've got to happy birthday. Don't tell me off, please. Poll question possibility. How about receiving a final four since it looks like one semi-final much better than the other. And could you guys send a big time? Happy birthday out to my uncle Tom, who's been watching you for years. I mean, back when you were broadcast from like eight to eleven, you spent time with that. He watched the re-brought cast, he's a huge fan
of your show. So a big happy birthday to him would be much appreciate him. Happy birthday Tom, happy birthday Tom, I've just went back after that call or said that Dan Hurley went head to head with an official after that shot. I thought this video was AI. I looked at this. Dan Hurley's jacket is half off, because they've been crawling him after the shot hits by Mullins. He walks up to the left to just go over the last few seconds. And they kind of just kind of
come together their heads briefly. It's very odd. I don't even know how to describe it on radio. But I'm not going to single that out and say boy, the official should have teed him up. No,
“I think you got to understand the moment there. He's excited. Jack had half on half off and he's”
probably asking about time out, all of that, how much time on the clock. They did check it.
I think they added a tenth of a second on it. So I think that's just that would be a normal reset
in the moment. But I don't make anything of that. Yeah, Paul. I did when go back and look at Hurley on the sidelines. When the ball goes up to Alex Cariband with four seconds left, Cariband passes back to Mullins with three seconds left. Hurley turns towards the ref who's three feet to his left and starts calling time out. The ref can't see him because he has his back to him and can't hear him and does not call the time out. Could you imagine?
Because Hurley is signaling time out as Mullins is getting the ball in his hands. I'm looking
“at the freeze frame. And that's why in somebody said, oh, you got to give credit to Hurley,”
let his players play. I don't know if he was going to let them play. Coach is micro-manage. And in that moment, you're like, oh, you know, let's set up a play. Sometimes the best play is to let your players make that play because I don't want you to set up your defense. Not in the moment. And Mullins, you know, he's the guy who gets the ball, he's the trailer.
That's the guy. The trailers, the guy you always got to worry about, you know, villain over one
national title because the trailer on that play. Yes, Marvin. Watching every single angle of that shot was fascinating. Watching Dan Hurley's mom go wholly bleeping bleep after they after our Mullins sister shot and then coach Shire going, put your hand up. He's literally like gesturing, put your hand up and watching him turn around as Mullins hits the shot like, come on, put your hand at least pretend to contest. Yeah, no. And you could see Shire who was a great score.
He knows. Like, that was that bench knew with that kid, you know, Mullins can make that shot. He hadn't been, but he can make that shot. And a shooter will know and Shire certainly was that a score. You can see that form is great. Rotation is great. And you could tell if the shot's going
To be shorter or not or even long because it was going to be on, it was going...
question is, you know, what's it going to get there? And that was Steph Curry, like, yeah, Marvin. It didn't touch the rim. Now, you could tell he's done that hundreds if not thousands of times. Yeah. Yeah. Well, that shot either kind of stays in Connecticut lore or it advances to March Madness lore. If they go to the championship game, if they would win a title, then all of a sudden that shot, you know, that shot might turn out to be Bryce Drew, you know, his shot that he had
for moves at Valpo. Yes, Eden. That to get the steel is highly unlikely that turn over to get that is highly unlikely. And then to hit that shot, also pretty unlikely to have both of those things happen in the span of two and a half seconds or whatever it was crazy. Unreal. Yes, Marvin. Yesterday was the greatest sports moment of my life. Really. Yes. Okay. How about we take a break and
“then I'll let you tell the world why yesterday was the greatest sports day of your life?”
Moment. Moment. Okay. All right. So not a day. Just a moment. All right. We'll take a break. Our play of the day, wonder what the play of the day is going to be, Marvin. Who knows? Yeah. Michigan played well yesterday. Back after this. Fox sports radio has the best sports talk line up in the nation. Catch all of our shows at foxportsradio.com. window of the bathroom. And was Daniel Recart was a listry of F1 career, a success story, a cautionary tail, or some combination of both. He started getting all of this attention and he may be started to think, "I'm bigger than this. I'm better." And plenty of other mishab scandals and sagas that have made Formula One a delightful, decadent, dumpster fire for more than 75 years. I'm John Green. You may know me as the author of the Faulkner Stars. And now, I guess also is the co-host of The Away End, a brand new world soccer podcast. I'm Daniel Alargon, a writer,

Max Politi 6. I was nine years old. I watched every game and I fell in love. On our new podcast The Away End, we'll share with you the magic of International Football, all leading up to the 2021 World Cup. For us, soccer football is a story we've shared for over 30 years, since Daniel was the star player on our high school soccer team very debatable, and I was there most oil and sometimes lonely fan. I love this game. I love its history, its hope, its heartbreak, and above all,
its beauty. Together, we'll find out why of all the unimportant things football soccer is the most important. Listen to The Away End with Daniel Alargon and John Green on the I-Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

“We talk tanking. I mean, honestly like, I'm not going to trouble for this answer, but I think it's”
like definitely happening in the WWE. And yeah, we talk about our mistakes too. They pulled me to their side and was like, hey man, we got a call last night and you can't be rolling around the city like this tonight for games, no, you know doing this, doing whatever and of course family stories. And I was like, well, why did you miss that? I'm, do you play basketball? Check out game-recognized game with student miles on the iHeart

Yeah, we got up there. Did Duke blow it or did you count when it? I'm going to let you guess those. I'm going to say 90% say Duke blew it. 82%. Okay. 82%. The little more reasonable.
Connecticut missed 17 of its first 18 three pointers, but made for their last five, including
the game winner. Celebrity bracket challenge, Ross Tucker. Ross Tucker has Illinois against Arizona in the title game. And that's that Princeton education. I'm in second place. I got Arizona against Florida. Frank Caladendo has Duke versus Michigan. Dylan is fourth. He's got St. John's versus Purdue. He won't stay in fourth. That's like a hold. Yeah. Rebecca low is in last place. Darius Rucker and Roger Bennett, second to last. I thought though Vetschkin would end up
being in last place. So Marvin prior to the commercial break said that yesterday is greatest sports moment of his young life. Correct, DP. Now, I've had great sports days. Connecticut is one before in one lifetime. They won six national championships, but this one specific moment. This one shining moment. Look at you. One specific one specific is that what they were going to call it. Okay. One specific moment. Very important to Marvin. And so it was against Duke
in the elite eight. They were down by 19 at one point, but I think you know what? If you're a Duke fan,
“the Christian later shot might be your favorite specific moment. So that's what I'm referring to”
or comparing it to rather. Okay. So a moment over a game. Correct. Yes. Okay. All right. Well, congratulations. Man, I got to you this morning. I was up until 1 a.m. last night. I am. Okay. We noticed that you had maybe a little glitter on on your cheek. Is there? Oh, I do. Yes. Holy goes. I could see it. Marvin's got maybe a little bit of glitter on your face. I did not see Tata la Alicia last night. I promise. You could have. Yeah. Okay.
Celebration. I didn't know. You know, got out of hand. I had too high noon yesterday. Did you? I did. Yeah. Whoa. What, when you're down 19? No, the celebrate. Oh, okay. All right. And then you started drinking early. All right. Russell and Philly. Hi, Russ. What's on your
Mind today?
best in the worst. My best is anytime Duke loses is a celebration of my half of the peace
Ontario fans. Congratulations, Marvin, and your Huskies. Congratulations to the Wolverine. They came back and stopped there. Got the tickets. And my worst is my Philly losing two out of three to the Texas Rangers. We gotta do better. Right, Robert. I'm going to have a good day. Thank you, Russell. By the way, I have a favorite college basketball player. It's not a he, it's a she. Hannah Doggo. It's the kids like to say she's a dog. She is unbelievable to watch. Notre Dame lost a
Connecticut. Notre Dame didn't have anywhere near the talent that you can't ask. She is spectacular. She's so much fun to watch. And and she plays defense. You do not. If you have the ball do not turn your back on her because she will pick your pocket. There's an Iverson feel to her when Iverson was a Georgetown where it's just a frenetic pace and she speeds you up. But Notre Dame
“bounced from the tournament by a Connecticut. Mike and Sarasota, morning, Mike. What's on your mind today?”
Hey, good morning, D.P. first time, long time, five, nine, and a good dad, but 162.
So I got a best in the worst. Best is Marvin Zhukon, Huskies. Our whole house was going nuts for that game. I'm surprised the copsting. The whole time we were literally rooting for Marvin too. So congratulations to him and his hosties. Love to see that. And then worse of a week in, as I'm going to take a little side step here and go with is very a lot of Sonja. In the UFC, he's gotten into losses over this weekend and just tough to see a legend go down, you know, like that.
So just best that best in him and his future and all that. But anyway, good luck to you, Marvin. Love it. Love the show D.P. And talk to you later. Thank you, Mike. 8773 D.P. show email under [email protected]. Does everybody have a favorite sports moment, Marvin had his?
“Todd, you have a sports moment, not a game, but a sports moment.”
The, initially, the moment was Mark Jackson catching that up. The drive, the 98, your drive, they're touched that caused over time. They'd be the Browns and the UFC championship game in Cleveland. But the Broncos officially, when mobile knocked down the ball, the clinch to Broncos, Super Bowl 32 went over the packers with probably have to trump everything for me. Yeah. See, you have a moment.
Probably the Malcolm Butler catch that was on the ever forget that, where I was, who I was with,
what I was doing, that was incredible. Paulie Ben Zobrus double for the Cubs in the 10th
inning of a six, six game game seven of the world series. Our two on the way, we'll talk to Seth Greenberg, former college coach now analyst for the mothership, more of your phone calls as well.
