Hello and welcome to the DSR Daily, I'm David Rothkoff, I'm joined by Riley F...
in a special broadcast from the Minustine Presidential Library in Indian, Iowa, no.
“And someplace in Indiana is Minustine, oh my god, Riley, aren't you excited?”
I know, I can't believe Minustine is back. The real Minustine and the Minustine Presidential Library looks very impressive, Minustine. Thank you. I put my Presidential Library right in Frankfurt, Indiana. Nice.
Frankfurt, Indiana. Where are you? You would expect it to be. Yeah, I'm like the Trump Presidential Library, yours actually seems to have books for me. I don't think, I don't think, I don't think his language is.
I don't like our President, I care about knowledge. Yeah, it's true. I think the Trump Presidential Library will just have like slot machines and things like that. But we're not there yet. He's getting close.
If you're into watching the pictures with the bruises coming up as arm and I wrote
“a whole column yesterday for the Daily Beast on how things really work when a president”
gets sick and incapacitated. The bad news is they tend not to work within the parameters of the Constitution that just doesn't kick over into succession, tends to be the people closest to the president sort of hang on to power, say he's healthy and start being presidents themselves. So you can see it with, you know, I don't know, Jared Kushner, Steve Whitkoff or Steven Miller.
How about that? Shadow President, Steven Miller. Hmm, could be happening right now and you wouldn't even know it. Because Trump, he doesn't do as many appearances when he does do appearances. He's asleep.
If you think he can handle presidential workload, I got a bridge to sell you in Frankfurt. Are there any bridges in Frankfurt, Indiana? Of course. Oh, there are. Interesting.
And one could be yours for very low price. Yeah, well, you know, we've got the Midwest coverage here because I was born in Illinois and Riley is from Ohio and mena has big relatives in Indiana. So we're hard, and my wife's from Michigan. We are really kind of rust belt group, aren't we?
Anyway, why don't we dive in?
“I love the first story because I really think there's a story behind it.”
I think we got to get to that. But go ahead. All right.
Well, for our first story today, I think we should have to play Riley can put this in
and post. Play that fallen tribute music from a hunger games from the Hunger Games. Oh, nice. Another. Another.
And another. And another. Right. From. Exactly.
Another Trump administration, person tribute has fallen. White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt is stepping down from her role at the end of August to submit more time with her two young children. President Trump praised Levitt as one of the best press secretaries in history. Okay, false.
And noted that she will continue to serve as a top outside advisor. The White House has not yet announced a successor or timeline for her replacement. Yeah. Okay. Let's.
Let's break this down.
First of all, you're absolutely right.
Another. Has fallen this week. We've had two, right? Because we had the White House chief council leave and the White House press secretary. And it's not even two years into the administration in other administrations.
If you saw the chief council on the press secretary leave within a couple of days of each other. You think, hmm. Something fishy going on here. People are losing faith in the boss. They don't want to be around when the shit hits the fan in November.
Something bad happened. Of course, we've also seen, you know, the head of the HS go the head of the intelligence community go. Other people in the administration go. And so although the Trump administration started a little stable in year one and was sort of patting itself on its back for its new fans stability. It's falling apart right now from the inside now having said that there were pictures on the internet overnight.
Of Carolyn love it on a plane apparently not happy with the president. And I got to believe there is some other motivation behind this. Possibly. And here's my, you know, desperate housewives of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue plot twist. You know, the president took Natalie Harp on the safe plane and left behind everybody else on the fake decoy plane. And I got to imagine Carolyn love it's like wait a minute.
Is Natalie Harp is inside woman now his his his go to his preferred blonde of the moment.
I mean, I don't, I mean, it's a little, you know.
Kind of kind of gendered reading and unfair, but you know, this is Trump and this are these two women.
“And I think, you know, I just like to think that there was some kind of big cat fight because Natalie Harp.”
Carolyn love it to work. Zaddy. What, what, what, what, what, what, what, what do you think? And what do you think of the term work, Zaddy? You don't like it.
Especially don't like it in this context. Yeah. So Donald Trump. Well, but, but Carolyn love it's husband is, what is he in the 60s? And she's.
He's right. He's right. No spring chicken. Right. So she's got to kind of appetite for this kind of thing.
“And I think she's bummed out because Natalie Harp's the one who's going around in the catering container with the president.”
What do you think? Is that the kind of political analysis people are coming here for? Or is it just tasteless sexes speculations? Right. And that's kind of speculations.
Yeah. That's a kind of speculation. You get up and ministering presidential library. Yeah. Yeah, but we're all about that. She's actually the baseless speculation wing of the library, which is a whole display on baseless speculation through the agents George Washington's teeth real or fake anyway.
Riley, do you have any stories? Or are you just taking this August date off? No, I do. U.S. ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee sharply condemned and Israeli settler siege of a Palestinian American family's home in the West Bank of village of Kuzra, labeling the blockade a quote horrific act of terror. The multi-day harassment trapped residents inside their home without reliable access to food or water until Israeli troops intervene and relocated them.
In response to the escalating violence, the Israeli military declared the area closed zone and dismantled to illegal outposts.
“What setlers remain a present and parts of the village?”
Yeah. Once again, Riley is our truth social correspondent giving us the truth social perspective on the story. Because here's the real story. Mike Huckabee was presented with the problem of these American citizens who are being besieged by Craig's group of Israeli settlers.
And the first response of the U.S. embassy was to send them an email back saying they should contact the police. He didn't do anything.
Then he started getting a lot of crap for not standing up for the American because he's always standing up for the Israeli government standing up for Netanyahu,
standing up for their stance in Gaza, standing up for their stance in the West Bank. And so this is a little bit too late. I don't think he's changed his stance much. He has, you know, there on behalf of American evangelicals who are in bed with the good party in Israel. And the Israeli government, which Riley alleges, is cracking down on these people as we indicated yesterday, really isn't.
It's going through the motions, but the Israeli government's the ones who have let all this happen. So I don't know, there seems to be a little cosplay going on here. And, you know, all, you know, pertaining to a group of people that I could personally do well if I heard less about ranging from my Cuckabee to Baby Netanyahu. Okay, back to Frankfort, Indiana. What's going on in Frankfort, Indiana? Is that, are there a lot of people there? Is there five people in Frankfort, Indiana? Is that a big town?
Does it have like, and a stop light? Does it have a stop light? Does it have an RB's? Has a stop light? It has an RB's. It has a Walmart. And it has a very quaint downtown, which I'm in right now. So if you're ever in Indianapolis, head up an hour north and see a very cute little farm town. Okay, cute farm town, of India, of Frankfort, Indiana. Okay, do you have any stories there? Frankfort, is this the latest thing from the Indianapolis star?
Three cows. We're so, oh no, yeah, go on. That was my next story. No, I have a follow-up story that's a real doozy.
I planned to spend up to $20 million on electric shock gloves to help officers de-escalate situations and disrupt individuals ability to resist.
Right, groups like the ACLU have strongly criticized the plan, warning that given Asians hidden, pain induced tools will lead to public, harm and reduce accountability.
The announcement comes in height and nationwide protests and scrutiny over IC...
Could lead to suffrage of people. Tom Holman said, oh no, we need these. This is one step less than, you know, using fatal or lethal force. And so it's a good thing.
But I don't know, I think giving a bunch of insults who've never actually touched a person. The, you know, taser gloves is just a formula for disaster. These are a bunch of people who want to put their hands on people for a whole host of horrible reasons. You know, ranging for braces to the fact that they've never put their hands on a person and they want taser gloves. I mean, you know, what could go wrong. Of course, we know that they had body cameras, but they've also said last week that they would only release the video from the body cameras if they thought it made their case. You know, in other words, they're not releasing video from body cameras that makes them look bad like when they're killing people.
Uh, I don't know. It's like, hey, let's use some new technology to make the under-trained badly vetted ice brigades that are out there in our streets, more of a threat to the public.

A little story from across the pond, reform UK leader Nigel Farage is running in a self-initiated special election in Clakden after resigning amidst investigations into an undisclosed, a 5 million pound gift from a crypto billionaire. Major British political parties are boycotting the vote calling it a political stunt, leaving only the novelty candidate Count Benface as Farage's main opposition. Although Farage hopes the victory will prove voters dismiss the establishment's allegations, he continues to face ongoing parliamentary standards and police inquiries that will impact his political future.
Yeah, let me try to translate this for some of our American listeners. Count Benface, who's a made up character, has a bin on, has had bin is what the British call garbage pale. So it's got a garbage pale on his head to protect his identity. And I dearly wish that he would defeat Nigel Farage, who belongs in actually a much larger garbage pale is a garbage person, gave Britain the biggest, most damaging move that it's had since. I don't know, the seapoy massacre of the middle of the 19th century when he had it pull out of Brexit and, you know, is dealing with crypto billionaires. By the way, as a tip, it's all guessed you're probably in that frame of mind where you're thinking maybe I should write my novel.
Okay, if you're writing a novel, one thought is that if you need a villain and you want to make sure that everybody gets their villain, just call them a crypto billionaire. If anybody is called a crypto billionaire for sure, they're a villain and, you know, you're off to the races and if you got a hero with a garbage pale on his head, I think it's going to be something people want to read because it's going to ring true. You've got, you've got one more story there in Frank for Indiana.
“If you were in Iowa, it would be about butter carving. They're very big on carving butter in Iowa. Have you been there? Have you been to Iowa?”
I haven't been to Iowa, but I have seen the carved butter because there was a butter cow at the art museum in DC and I went to go see it and it was honestly pretty cool, so I get it. I got the appeal. Wow, you get to send the girl, you send the girl to the Midwest for like three days and the next thing she's gone is, yeah, no, we should have butter sculptures in our museums.
Okay, and we do and we do.
I posted a tweet on blue sky, which is a faltering social media helps that I use and this morning saying, you know, in sort of broad, sirloin voice, imagine a world in which everyone was a content creator and no one at anything interesting to say.
“And when I said this to my wife, she said, yeah, I can, that's this world.”
That's the world we live in, but that's not what men as that doesn't describe men as she's got something interesting to say right now.
I do and I'm taking over. I'm taking the reins from Riley and being a truth social correspondent today because two media organizations have sued Trump to block the White House from issuing official announcements on truth social while a new feed sells early access to those posts for up to a hundred thousand dollars a month. The plaintiffs argues that the truth API service violates the first amendment and is corrupt as it enriches the president who owns a 41.3% stake in the parent company Trump media by giving paying subscribers market moving news slightly ahead of the public.
“In response, a Trump media spokesperson defended the feature calling the lawsuit an attempt by left wing activists weaponized the courts and censor the president disagree.”
You know, I kind of say and Riley, what do you think of men as voice in her library voice because she's in the library and she doesn't want to be loud. So she's doing every. I think many times voice all the time. Yeah, it sounds a little FM radio. Yeah, it's very soothing to start very soothing as kind of hi, this is men at the night bird and we're here to take you through some of the big hits. No, this is my regular voice. I know, but you're serious of doing it a little bit. Obviously, the president should be sued for this. Obviously, this is a corrupt scheme for the president to monetize information. He has at the White House. Obviously, it's a corrupt insider trading scheme.
There is nothing good about this. You know, the fact is, though, it's something horribly corrupt happened every day and we just sort of go, oh, yeah, that's it's Thursday. This is the crop story of today. It's good people are standing up. It's good. It will get shut down.
“And here's a prediction fans and true social doesn't really have much value anymore. If you think it's going to have $1 worth of value. The day after Trump leaves the presidency.”
I got a bridge to sell you true social is a scam in which people invested in order to direct money to the president, which the president is family sold off their assets, which is a terrible media company that's losing money. Handover fist, as we have recently reported, and is trying to engage in this kind of corruption because every Trump enterprise has an element of corruption in its DNA, because that's what the word Trump stands for folks. Trump means corrupt in German. It actually doesn't, but it should.
And it will mean corrupt for generations to come if we have anything to say about it. Anyway, we're one of those content creators with something to say, and we're going to keep saying it little change of pace here for all of our fans who just can't wait to listen to things when they're released. Usually on Thursdays, it's Thursday. We do words matter with Norm Ornstein in the afternoon and release it in the early evening. And we're not doing that today because Norm is joining us tomorrow on our live episode of the DSR Daily, which is everybody's favorite shows to your favorite show right Riley, you love it.
It's the best. It's the best. And, you know, last week, we had hundreds and hundreds of people join us for it from everywhere, from Australia, from Singapore, from Scandinavia, from Bulgaria, from Frankford, Indiana.
And we hopefully will have more tomorrow. You've got to show up. It's noon. It'll take 45 minutes of your time. You get to ask questions. You can go to Norm. You can pose questions to one of the great
Most insightful experienced observers of Washington. And, and you have a good time at the same time. So please join us for that. And, you know, don't we, listen to our very interesting silly consciousness, which is triggered all sorts of discussion on the internet about the geopolitics of AI. Our deep state radio yesterday with our friends from the new republic, in which we talked about the elections, what we would have elections. And, you know, everything we're doing around here.
So, until then, enjoy Frankford, Indiana.
No, actually, but I trust one on the drive here. And I thought of you, Riley. I was like, oh, this is Riley's homeland. I want, I want skyline to cut me a deal where I can be their spokesperson.
“Right here, every day. Hi. Welcome to the DSR Daily brought to you by skyline chilly. That's right. A big helping of pasta with chilly and cheese on top of it.”
Some places get sponsored by like, Kalshi or Polymarkid, but we want the skyline chilly money. Oh, a shot at the daily beast. Wow.
I said, I said, some now. I would, yeah, I would love to see you doing the news every morning just housing skyline chilly.
“That's what I look like when I'm back home.”
I got to tell you, Mina, you are on to something. You are on to something. If anybody out there is listing is from skyline chilly and wants to get a real good deal. I'm answering the DSR Daily. Give us a call. I guarantee you, I promise on his back as his employer that Riley will have one full bowl of skyline chilly every morning for breakfast if you spot certain.
“I'm, I'm double dipping in victories there. I get delicious chili every day and I get more money for breakfast. Chili for breakfast. Have you ever had shot skyline chilly for breakfast? No, it sounds horrible.”
It does, it does sound horrible. I was reading the other day about presidential breakfast and John F. Kennedy every day had a bowl of super breakfast.
That, I mean, does it, I don't know. Why is that weird? I mean, you know, sure if he wants to both, but it's weird. It's weird. Tabbable is on the soup. Who ever heard a breakfast soup? What is oatmeal if not out soup? Oh, no, then your oatmeal is way, way, way too much work. I like, I like my own hands like this. I don't think it was. Well, it's like, you know, Gerald Ford's favorite snack was cottage cheese with steak sauce mixed into it. This is how you, this is how you become president and Riley will become president by every guy eating a big bowl of skyline chili for breakfast. I'm selling out to big chili.
All right, all right, everybody. All right, everybody. The minute of sign presidential library. There you go, everybody. There you go. It's a combination of winning combination. We'll get you off. And it's frankly, baseless here, say, and skyline chilly is what's made Ohio. Just about what Ohio is these days. Anyway, we'll, we'll see it tomorrow, everybody. Please, noon, write it in your date book, noon, join us on sub-stack, sub-stack live on the DSR network or on the need to know network, wherever you get your great content from us on sub-stack and then you can join and be part of the show. Until then, bye-bye.
