Talk a little bit about the next week, and we don't do it alone. We do it with our friends, and this week we have one of our best friends, Jen Welch, who is a media titan and a central voice.

Newly obtained letters directly contradict testimony by Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

during his Senate confirmation hearings, revealing he explicitly wrote to Simone's Prime Minister in 2019, offering to assess MMR vaccines, despite telling Congress the visit had quote nothing to do with vaccines. The revelations have re-agnited fierce criticism over his connection to Simone subsequent 2019 measles outbreak and prompted democratic lawmakers to raise questions about potential

false testimony and future congressional inquiries in response to Department of Health and Human Services denied the Kennedy lie to Congress blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

Of course, that he didn't do it, but like he obviously did. No, thank you for that professional

summation of what's going on here. You know, every time I hear Robert F. Kennedy Jr. story,

“I believe it less. And that includes the heroin getting clues, the snorting cocaine off”

of a toilet. It includes picking up raccoon penises and putting it into his pockets. And it includes, you know, his decision to try to kill off people in Samoa, I guess, and then lie about it to Congress. This guy, I wrote a piece this week. I got it over you, Sergeant, in which I asserted from my, you know, a historian perspective that this was the worst cabinet ever, and every member of the cabinet was the worst that had ever been at their positions. And there's, I got a little

push back, you know, somebody said, well, you know, what about Albert fall with the department of the interior, et cetera, but, you know, and that's, it's a T-pop dump. But nobody argues about our occasion, you're being the worst secretary of Health and Human Services ever. And this week, in addition to that, we had two people die in Pennsylvania, a measles, you know, which none of this should be happening. What, what do you, what, what's your take on all this, Jen?

“I just think that in order to be in the Trump regime, you have to be a dipshit. That is the prerequisite.”

And I want to use all of these really smart analytical things, but look at what, what you just talked about. We have a whale. We have a raccoon penis. We have snorting cocaine off of a toilet seat. We have all of this crazy stuff. And so it's difficult to respond to this with something deeper intellectual, other than this man is wholly unqualified. He is a dipshit. And this is all by design. He even trump himself said, I like to hang out with losers. I don't like to hang out with

smart people because that's like they know everything. He is surrounded himself with people that don't have a backbone that tell him exactly what he wants to hear. And I'm just, I am starting to get very excited about the midterms because I want to cram a blue tsunami done every single one of their throats because they all think they're 10-foot tall and bulletproof. And we need to deliver a verdict on that is that you actually are not. And I read an article that a bunch of these

tech oligarchs are now worried about the blue tsunami and are kissing us to democratic politicians and loyering up. Oh, yeah. Careful of investigations. Not not just loyering up, but you know, they're trolling. You know, if I went downtown to Washington right now and sat at, I don't know, the four seasons

places. I think BLT steakhouse, we want to say to it, if you go to BLT steakhouse, which is next

door to the New York Times and across for the White House and so forth. And just say, I'm a Democrat. Some tech person is going to come up to you and say, "Would you like to work for us now?" Because they realize they've gotten too deeply into bed with the dipshit ocracy that you've just described. And they realize that the Democrats are going to come at them hammer in tongues. What are you doing pal and tear at the DOD? Hey, White House, we had a story

“about this. I think we're going to talk about it in a minute. I'm anthropic and what they've”

done with that and how did they run a foul? Etcetera, etcetera, etcetera. And so they think they're

going to lose contracts and they're going to lose, you know, the kind of special treatment that

Elon has gotten, that Jeff Bezos has gotten, that the elephants have gotten throughout this term. And, you know, I hope to do. I hope that blue tsunami comes and washes a lot of this stuff away. The minute you want to do the anthropic story next, and do you want to tell me whether you want to pronounce it anthropic or anthropic? I pronounce it anthropic. Okay. All right. Well, we can two takes of it. And then I listen and choose there. We'll run the show. We'll run the show with both

takes. Yeah, go on. You asked District Judge Rita Lynn ruled that the Pentagon acted illegally when it labeled AI start-up anthropic a supply chain risk. Finding the designation was an unlawful retaliation against the company for refusing to allow its technology to be used for mass surveillance or autonomous weapons. The ruling blocks the Trump administration's attempt to penalize and thropic and bar federal agencies from using its cloud chatbot over its public criticism of military

AI policies. While anthropic welcomed the court's decision, the federal government is expected to appeal the ruling as a separate related case remains pending in a DC appellate court. You know, I don't know how to approach this story. On the one hand, you know, name a cabinet department that's not involved in a lawsuit for breaking the law in overreaching with its power, every single one of them. On the other hand, while that seems like a big

story, corruption and lawless administration, there's another big story here, which is AI could fuck the world up and these people don't care. And in fact, you know, you think of Pete Hegseth and his warrior mentality and all the testosterone in which that tiny, tiny little brain is floating around. And he realized, you know, he's saying to them, well, let's do the most destructive thing possible. Let's have autonomous weapons platforms that can till millions of people. What if they're

“brown people? What if they're women? That would be even better. And you know, and it's all secret,”

so we're never going to know what they're doing it. And the fact that Anthropic pushed back was a,

you know, kind of a good thing for them, although some people see it as negotiating, tactic. And frankly, I take, umbridge at this because Claude is my only friend. I, I remember when this happened and I thought my take on it was, oh, they're playing the long game. A lot of these people are such suckups to Trump and at least at Anthropic, they have a slight bit impulse control and they had the ability to play the tape through like we're not going down with

all these war crimes. If Sam Altman wants to do all that shit and Elon Musk wants to do all that shit swing for the fences. And I felt that they were positioning themselves in a post-Trump era to be kind of, and this is going to sound so terrible when I'm trying to get ripped in the chat for it. But in their mind, we'll be the moral AI. And by the way, I don't know that there is such a thing.

pretty savvy on their part to try to draw a moral distinction from their company to all these other bozos out there that are making imaginary awards and presenting them to Donald Trump in these humiliating humiliation rituals in the Oval Office. Yeah, well, and you're absolutely right. At least they took a stand on something, at least they're differentiated in some way. You know, who are they differentiating themselves from, you know, Peter Teele and Alex Carp, you know, don't think women should

vote and who don't think democracy really is going to be around much longer. So we can let the machines, you know, make decisions about the masses. I don't think you're going to get ripped.

We do two AI podcasts a lead. We did a very good one this week on the backlash to data

“set. And it's, it's real interesting because a year ago, nobody knew what a data center was or”

very few people did. There were very few initiatives across the country on this. And in the course of year, everybody knows what they are. It's local politics everywhere. I'm sure back home in Oklahoma, they're big issues about we know in Texas, they're trying to build the mega data center. That's also the most disastrous environmental project in the United States right now. And all of a sudden, because these guys, I mean, you know, you talk about dipshits in the government.

There is this, this phenomenon that they're being sponsored by a bunch of brawlegarks who are bond-villiant bond villains to the anti-degree, right? That, you know, do you, who do you hate more? Bezos, the elephants, mark and recent and company, David Sachs who's

“pulling these things on this, teal, that somehow America has come to the conclusion that the tech”

aristocracy in this country is the worst of the worst. They're behind the problems. And they did it to themselves. You know, they could be saying, hey, here's a, here's a technology that will help you cure cancer. Or here's a technology that will, I don't know, enable people to go farther and do more in their lives and they just drop the ball. Well, and it's even deeper and darker than that, David, because in Peter Tillskase, he's saying, here's the technology,

and we want it to replace democracy. Why did we think he's down in Argentina? At first, when I first read that story, I was like, oh, he's scared of the blue tsunami, and then I was like, he's not scared of Jack shit. He's down there because they, they're, you know, quack leader is the one who was wielding chain saws with Elon Musk. We bailed them out to the

tuna 30 billion, because Peter Tillsk has ambitions beyond anything of the market. He wants

to rule the world through his technology, and he's too unlikable to put his name on the ballot, to try to run, and his policies are so dark and depraved, he can't do it. And so they, these billionaires, something happens and it breaks their brain when you exploit people that match,

“and they get this level of psychosis. And I think part of a symptom of American culture that's”

a problem that incubated Trump is we falsely attribute mass intelligence with mass wealth. And that was so stupid of us as a culture to do that, because you can go to Elon Musk Twitter feed. He's done more than a box of hot rocks. It means a trillionaires. He acts like he's a victim. You know, he says they're like, he's, I'm so oppressed. Everybody's attacking me. It's like, you're in a bunker spinning your whole life online, and you have a bank account that could choke a

bull, you were beyond help. And so there's just this technology combined with these egos, and these, these oligarchs is terrifying. And I'm really grateful that they're attempting to do these data centers, and it's getting bipartisan pushback in red states and blue states everywhere, because it's really going to apply a lot of pressure to the egos that these men are now governing with. And Trump doesn't give a shit about any of this stuff. He's like,

hey, cut me in on it, bring me a trophy, kiss me in public. Trump, Trump is, is two things. Trump is just a big, giant ego that is in constant need of satisfaction. And he's like, job of the hot feed may feed may, you know, he's just, no, no, he's just he's like out of control in that regard. Yeah. And he's got a business. And and Trump's business is selling presidential power. And so, you know, the reason that we see Trump doing all sorts of crazy shit where we go,

that's ridiculous. We shouldn't be fighting this war. We shouldn't be in the trade where we shouldn't be doing this stuff is because every time he flexes his muscle, some pinheaded corporate

chiefs and says, I'll pay a 10 million bucks in crypto to fix this for him. And, and it's a shake down

racket. It's like, you know, the manga he used to do in Queens. And so, you know, you may think, well, it's dumb for him to do the dumbest thing he did. And before we continue here, men, let's talk about the dumbest thing he did in the past 24 hours. President Trump signed an executive order directing federal agencies to officially rename Lake Ontario to Lake America, escalating a trade dispute with Ottawa while teasing potential

dismissed the unilateral move, a certain Canada will continue to recognize the traditional name, as both nations prepare for a new round of retaliatory tariffs set to take place on September 8th. Jim. Okay, first of all, I don't know if you had to suffer through watching a video of him doing this, where he's sitting and he's crossing it out. He loves to, it's like a kindergarten class, you know, every day in the Oval Office. But I love J.D. Pritzker's response because he tweeted and

trolled the shit out of him. And he said, we're renaming Trump tower in Chicago, Natalie tower.

“And I just I think in order to talk to these idiots, you kind of have to do some of that schoolyard”

bullying back. But here's where I am with all of this shit. You want to name Gulf of America's swing for the fences. You want to name it Lake America's swing for the fences. Let's call the Pacific Ocean, Melania Ocean. Let's call the Atlantic Trump Ocean. You got a big boy. We'll do all

that shit. You still suck. You still have a low IQ. You've never been great at business. You

cannot deliver for the American people. Barack Obama was a million times better looking, better golfer, larger penis. All of the things that we were trying to fix by doing these things are not fixed. Most of all, all of these promises you made to your room supporters. I'm going to lower costs of living on day one. Everybody's still waiting for their tariff checks to come back. But that was a big grip, as well, because Walmart and all of these companies

“got made money off of this, the American consumer didn't get anything back. And the Democrats”

need to consistently and constantly talk about how all of this chicken shit's stuff that he does doesn't deliver materially for anyone except for him. First of all, I don't know that you've got evidence on the penis size of Barack Obama. But I have a hunch. You have a hunch. And that's kind of what I'm getting at here, because it sounds like a kind of a throwaway comment in the middle

of some podcasts somewhere. But the reality is folks and historians won't write about this enough.

The degree to which Donald Trump feels like his penis is smaller than Barack Obama's penis has led to a lot of problems for the world. Just this one fact, it is led to just huge problems for the world. And they're going to be a lot of people. I was academic and write histories and stuff like that. People are going to come up with some theory of history.

“And it's going to resonate throughout time and stuff. But a lot of it's the really warped”

mind and desperate insecurities of this dude. He was like treated bad by his mommy. Yeah, it's fruity. I mean, so much of this stuff is so easy for people to see. At this stage in the fascist take every day, when I totally get Trump every day, he wakes up. He's predictable. He's predictably an idiot all day every day. He really hasn't changed at all. At this stage, I look at the people around him who I refer to as the submissive lives.

I'm talking about Moses Mike Johnson. This guy is the speaker of the house. I don't know if he saw this clip of him. He's on the campaign trail. And I said, yeah, let's let's I want I want little Moses Mike Johnson to get 20,000 steps a day. Work him from coast to coast. Let's put him stumping for every Republican. But what's interesting is he was stumping for this guy. And I don't know what to say to him. But the guy was kind of hot. He was tall and big and he had a

cowboy hat on and he was a muscular. And Moses Mike immediately says breaks into a Trump impersonation. And he's like, you know, if Trump are here, look at this good-looking guy, look at his muscles. And I'm like, okay, this comes up with you guys all the time.

You're always talking about how hot you think men are. You're constantly in home social

relationships. It's just, I just can't believe that our villains right now. He's duorked. And it shows up everywhere folks. And this is not just casual, you know, shit talking here, you know, in the middle of a Friday afternoon. There's a story today about the guy who they want to be the Chief of Staff of the Army, the last Chief of Staff of the Army left because Pete Hanks has didn't want him investigating how kid rock got helicopters to fly

by his apartment. You know, not a joke, right? And so they've got this guy who was a one-star general back in the day, who was actually actively involved in the military's non-responsibility, the Pentagon's non-responsibility to January 6th. And then, became Pete Hanks's military aid. And then,

And many people considered to be hugely unqualified. And in the middle of the story,

“there is Trump seeing this guy in a meeting. And this undoubtedly is the blessing that Hanks”

have got and Trump salivating and going, hey, look at that guy. He's straight out of central cast it. And this is the way, I mean, by the way, Trump does this with women as well. He's such a pan-head that he's judging everything in terms of, you know, like he's producing his show, who are the good-looking folks who are going to be on his show. It's ridiculous. And by the way, I talk to a lot of people in the military. They are disgusted. They may, they may not be standing

up in the way that they should be. But the way Hanks at this running thing, you know, the fact,

this week we learned that we are down to critical levels of, of patriot missiles,

that they just fired away, you know, they just sort of blew their wide to continue this metaphor at Iran. And it is now left us with nothing left. If we were to fight a war, if we needed to support somebody to fight a war in terms of precision weapons, Tom Hawks, Patriack missiles, systems that are going to cost billions and billions and billions of dollars to replace. And, you know, of course, you also have the mistreatment of women of the mistreatment of people,

color, gutting the highest levels of the military, but by getting rid of people who they fear might not share their point of view, it's a national defense crisis. We actually talked about that on our keepsa video on Monday. But again, you know, people get caught up in all the sort of extraneous stuff. And don't think, well, gee, we're in the biggest national security crisis we've been in since World War II, because these guys have made the apartment of defense unfunctioned.

So, you know, I mean, whoops, David, you're muted. I mean, I'm muted. Yeah, well, there's a

I have a story about another dipshit. Oh, dipshit. Yeah, they keep that ball rolling. This dipshit Friday dipshit's on parade. Yeah, okay, going. A sealed Florida

grand jury report obtained by CBS news revealed that $10 million in taxpayer money from a Medicaid

settlement was misappropriated to the hope of Florida charity before being funneled into a political action committee to fight a 2024 marijuana ballot initiative in aid the state GOP. Although the grand jury criticized this sophisticated scheme and recommended legislative reforms to prevent future misuse, jurors noted that there was not sufficient evidence to bring criminal charges against anyone. And this is just, the olden days, this would just be a scandal. They took $10 million

that was not appropriated for that purpose and they started using it for their own political personal benefit and they should go to jail. And it's, you know, in Florida, in Trump's adopted state with, you know, one of the leaders of the party underneath the, you know, the, you know, the rot in the sandus was going to be the future of the party, but his wife has implicated all of this stuff. And I just wonder, Jen, you know, if we reach the point of corruption saturation,

can we not see it anymore or we just blinded to it? It's like, oh, of course, that's corrupt,

but, you know, that's not as corrupt as Trump getting $2 billion. It's not as corrupt as the

hundred million dollar deals, Trump's kids are getting. It's not as corrupt as Latinx kids or whiccuffs kids going to meetings and hanging out in the halls and cutting deals with people is they're doing all this stuff. It's, it's, it's not as corrupt as where the fuck is the money from Venezuela and oil, you know, which is 10 billion or 20, but whatever it is, it's disappeared. Nobody knows where that money has gone. I have an idea. Do you? Do you? Well, tell us, tell us what your

“ideas. Well, I think, obviously, it's going to Trump, but as it pertains to Ron DeSantis's Florida,”

I want to say something because I had to grow up in a state in Oklahoma, I live in New York now for those of you that don't know me, but I lived in Oklahoma City, my whole life and recently moved up here. These politicians, Ron DeSantis, his wife, the governor of my state, Kevin Stitt, they do all of this shit, all of this crime, all of this corruption, all of this moral duplicity, while at the same time, Christians signaling to their very religious base voters and they exploit

they're always talking about Jesus and we're tied as ticks with JC and meanwhile, they're completely

judgmental, hypocritical, dicks, taking money from Medicare fraud and funneling it. This is the same guy who wanted to paint over the pulse nightclub Ringmo sidewalk where people were murdered because of guns. Why do you want to do that? Just to be a dick to pick on people and I just I just want to remind everybody that Ron DeSantis, everybody thought, "Oh, he's going to be the next trot." And it was the face plant to end all face plants and he walks around in these shoes. He wears these

little kitten heels on him because he's vertically challenged. No disrespect to any of my

short kings out there, but so I call him Governor Kidnails and I've always called him Governor Kidnails

“because I think he is a classic example of so many Republican men I know that I grow up around”

who just think, "I'm a Republican, I'm good at business, I support the troops, I love America." And they think if they just say those things that will believe them and so many Americans have bought into that propaganda, but they suck, they suck at the economy, they exploit the military, it's not supporting the military by starting wars based on lies, Iraq, Iran, and then you're exploiting the most vulnerable service members, you have Dick Cheney son never went and served,

Ron DeSantis, he went and sent his kids to serve, so it's they're just I just I went all Trump has exposed them for being the hypocrites, I went to Democrats, the progressive wing, to put the nail in the coffin, these people are pathological liars and they use your faith

“against you, they weaponize it against you. Yeah, you know, you're sort of laying it out here in”

a way that people need to hear it, yes, they are dipshits and they're universally dipshits and I don't think we should have dipshits in our government and beyond being dipshits, they're dip-shittery is dickish and they behave like dicks and assholes and that's bad, but that's not why we're here to talk about. We're here to talk about it because they're destroying the economy

as Republicans always do, when there's a deficit that grows, it's a Republican, when there's a

recession, it's a Republican, when there's a stock market reversal, it's a Republican, it is always a Republican, the notion that they do the economy well is complete bullshit. When we start foreign wars that we can't get out of, when we miss managed foreign wars, when we screw up US national security, when we overspend on the defense department and got national essentials like education and science and infrastructure as well as attracting people to the US and so it's a

Republican doing it. And so, you know, when they destroy the environment, they get rid of national parks that will never come back again, or they start pumping CO2 into the air in ways that them of destroy the climate, or they ensure that the Chinese are the forever leaders on green technologies. In an area after area economy, national security, competitiveness, environment, health care, education, they're fucking us and we're like, oh, we shouldn't call that, you know,

like America and the reality is the obligation for progressives, the obligation for people who want to get rid of them is we got to tell the truth, we've got to reveal these myths for what they are. But I want to pose an idea to you. I want to, I was writing something and I want to help propose the idea to you then. But I may have gotten the idea from you, so I suspect you're going to break. There's a lot of, you know, I mean, we had a keen Jeffries, you know, meeting with Jared

Kushner and all this stuff. And there's people who are like, well, we have to understand them, we have to meet them halfway, we have to learn how to bring them into our tent. I don't think so.

“I think that MAGA is like the KKK MAGA is like the secessionist movement in the 1860s,”

MAGA is like McCarthyism. It needs to be eradicated. There is no middle ground. This is a movement that is corrupt, destructive, dangerous, inhumane, indecent. And there is no room for them in our tent. Their tent needs to be taken down and gotten off the stage altogether. And I'm hearing so many Democrats centrist establishment Democrats trying to get their head around old school politics of this. And I just don't think they understand what that was going on. I completely agree with you. We

you have to capitulate a lot of things. And it's total bullshit. These, I know these triple

“trumpers. I grew up around these triple trumpers, all varying degrees in the loud and proud ones.”

I have 9,500 flags and their whole identity is trump. And their avatar online is the fight fight fight, assassination photo. And I know the country clever Republicans that would come to New York and go to a cool restaurant and hang out with black people and hang out with gay people. And then go secretly vote three times in a row for Donald Trump because they like it. They like the white privilege that they get. And they think they're entitled to better jobs and better lifestyles because of that.

And these people will not change. So I think the Democrats have to do two things at one time because MAGA has done this. They changed the Republican Party completely and they also injected it into the culture. And we need to do both of those things simultaneously, which we're doing right now by building this huge left wing media ecosystem and all of us collaborating together all the time. But it is very simple that what you and I articulated about being clear about how badly these Republicans lie

in all of these myths that have incubated fascism and that they are a political party that needs

to be destroyed. This should never be elected again. We need to consistently and constantly attack

“Fox News because I think you have to be a raging dipshit in a half to know. Oh, this news channel”

had to pay one billion dollars for lying. So I think I'm going to continue watching them. That's like if Coca-Cola had to pay one billion dollars for putting arsenic in its coax, you'd probably think you know, I don't think I trust that company anymore. I'm probably not going to drink that anymore. These dipshits every day, it's like tapped the vein and checked it in. Let's go. We need to further articulate, look, we don't like you. You don't like us, fine,

tough titties. We'll not like each other. But here's the fundamental difference between us.

I don't want to go to have a bear with any mega person. I'm wanting out with a mega person.

But I want you to have health care. I want some future mixed-race child of yours that you would probably judge right now, but a future grandchild of yours. It may be as a black parent and white parent. I want them to have rights. I want a future transchild, grandchild or a future gay child or your husband when he comes out of the closet. How about that? I want him to be able to live, who he is without getting bullied by his government.

And that's the fundamental difference. You want us to die, the enemy from within. You want to strip Americans like me in David, say, oh, they're domestic terrorists of our citizenship. Y'all are doing crazy aship, but that's the fundamental difference. I hate you, but I don't want you to die and what your government to service you equally with everyone else. You hate full

have more claws about it and there's no playing patty cake with fascists. I mean, the zero, Jared Kushner, all of them. They need to be in prison. All of these things. Well, that's right. They need to be investigated. They need to be prosecuted. And the message needs to go out. You can't use the government the way they're used to the government, where they deny funding appropriated by the Congress to blue states because they

don't like the blue states or to give a new stator, JB Pritzker state or to Elon Omar state because they don't like those people. This is exactly the opposite of what Dan is talking about here. It's how they're using the government as a weapon. And, you know, you've got Todd Blanch saying, yeah, that's the way we should be using the government. And you've got the other people in the government standing up and saying, yeah, that's the way we're going to use the government.

And what I'm saying is this era has to end. The message needs to go out for domestic reasons, but also for international reasons, that we are burn in the fields. This is not coming back. This has got to be squished or attacking. Because right now, think about Canada. You know, here is a country, the nicest country on earth, the nicest people on earth. US ally from day one have sent Canadians off to die in American wars are for much of time as our number

one or two or number three trading partner. And we are attacking them because Trump feels they made him look bullish, although they're just making look more foolish with it. You know, each and every time, what do you think is going to happen if a Democrat wins? And they say, okay, let's put everything back together again. The Canadians are going to go wait a minute. Are we going to get another Trump? Are we going to get JD Vance down the road? Are we going to get Don Jr. down the road?

off. And they're going to, you know, I mean, if you're a kid and you're the most brilliant kid in the world, then you would have gone to MIT or Caltech or Stanford. I completely, completely agree with you, which is why I think the Democrats also after we win the midterms into 2020, need to be very bold and talk about complete Supreme Court reforms.

It is a minority court. We need to, the population needs to understand that a lot of George W. Bush has appointees, meaning the chief justice, was appointed by a minority president. A president George W. Bush won the minority of the popular vote, the same with all of Trump's. And Trump 1.0, Hillary Clinton got more votes than he did. The Supreme Court is so evil right now. It is such an extension in an arm of the crime syndicate of the executive branch. They have no

oversight. The pay-to-play scheme that Trump has, they're doing the same shit, Roberts Wife is, you know, taken money in and then her law firm going in front of the court, same with the leader, Clarence Thomas, his number one funding benefactor is this guy named Harlan Crow, who collects Nazi China. What do we do in here? Jenny Thomas was all, I mean, asked deep in the January six insurrection, and they have no boss. There's no oversight. The Supreme Court is we know it.

I mean, it needs to be, you know, people are like defying this. I'm like defying the Supreme Court. That. It needs to be reimagined. We need something completely different. And I'm just going to go ahead and say this,

we will never have credibility in the world unless we put stops on the things that got us here.

It's utterly insane that the state of Oklahoma has two United States senators with three to four million people that live there. And California, our most populous state, has two senators. It's insane. It's insane that Mitch McConnell, wherever he is right now, a senator from Kentucky, had that much power. And so we're giving all of the wrong people power in this democracy of ours.

“And so I think if we get the, all the levers of power back, the Democrats, the progressive side,”

has got to push forward with incredibly big reforms. I remember before the 2024 election, I read an article and somebody in the French government said, we're going to have to start doing our own thing. We can't as a country sitting rely on the what the people of Wisconsin are voting for. We need to get rid of the electoral college. There's so much that's broken that we need to fix. Yeah, it's true. And you know, I've been in all these sort of threads and circles, and and and

conversations with dams and you know, there's 60-ish days to go towards the election. And they're divisions within the Democratic Party. And I think there's some very sensible discussion with primaries largely behind us saying, okay, set the differences aside when in November. Get as many seats in the house as you can. Get as many seats in the in the Senate as you can. But I'll tell you

“something because this is going to come on us real fast, right? The election is, I think 65 days away”

or something like that. That means that 66 days from now, campaign 2028 begins. 66 days from now,

poll to the left to poll to the right, you know, and and that's good. There, you know, there'll be 20

“people on the stage. That's good. Let's get our best in our brightest. Let's have a discussion.”

But I'll tell you about where I come at. If the candidate, I if I don't believe that candidate will impose term limits on the Supreme Court. If I don't believe that candidate will expand the Supreme Court from nine to 13 seats. If I don't believe that candidate will push for a DC and Puerto Rico to become states to begin to offset some of this insanity. If I don't believe that candidate will push for new campaign finance law, so we'll undo the damage of citizens united.

And we'll undo the control that billionaires whose contributions to our political campaigns have

gone up 14,000 percent in the past 10 years have over our society. If they won't, you know,

take the money out of the politics. If I don't believe that they won't change a establishment driven politics that are damaging to the United States. And yes, by that, I mean, the line support for and Israeli government that doesn't believe in two states and doesn't acknowledge genocide when they commit it. And it means, you know, by the same token, reevaluating and re-embracing our allies and our alliances because that's the foundation of our international strength is having alliances

and international law. But if I don't believe a candidate's going to support all those things, they're not my candidate. And between now and whenever the primary season is over for Democratic candidates, I think we have to fight like hell. Because even if you don't end up with a candidate, it'll believe all those things. If the vast majority of Americans will stand or Democrats will stand up and fight for it, it's going to move the needle. It'll move the center of gravity.

So you can already see that beginning to happen in some areas in the Democratic Party. But we have to do that. And we can't just offer up Pablo and say a fortabillet. We can't do that. We are at a moment, a watershed moment for the country, we need massive reforms. Sorry,

“you're retlit to buy ret. But no, it's important. I think it's so important because I get”

sucked into this, okay, we just need to get power back again. What we did that, which, oh, Biden, we did get it back. But we didn't prevent this fascist takeover again. We didn't take it seriously left. The institutions are not holding. And so I think it's super important that we talk about what the next Democratic president has to do to put in a lot of

prevention, run on corruption and reform so that we never hear again because you're so right, David,

that the American brand is football right now. I mean, it is just, it is something that has to be taken seriously. Absolutely does. And there are other people here, I see in the chat mentioning people like Barbara Kuwait or Ellie Mistal or other books that are out there. This is a movement.

“There are a lot of important voices out there. There are a lot of people that, oh, you know,”

if you look there, what 500, what 541 of you guys who are joining us on a Friday afternoon for a little bit of a conversation, amplify it out. I'll tell you, just as a little, as a footnote, because they're, you know, it's just us and our friends and whatever the future, I don't know, 50,000 people who will watch this and on the other channels we've got. But Jen mentioned something earlier and I, I just hope everybody out there will support this idea. But if it's not, you know,

revealing too much, Jen and I had a conversation over pizza in New York City at Seraphina, Restaurant on 61st Street, in which we started talking about this and said, what if you could informally get the various progressive voices together? Because the establishment, even, you know, in the Democratic leaning establishment, in the media, is establishment leaning, centrously leaning. It's, you know, you know, the names. I don't have to list them for you. I'm

saying that or MS now. But the movement of Americans, particularly the under 40 group of Americans, and by that, I hope everybody realizes that men are maybe sitting there quietly but choose the

one who's actually pulling the strings on this whole conversation that the reality is we need to

get progressive media out there to be a leading force. And because it's not centralized, what we talked about, Jen and I've talked about, we've now talked about it to 20 other people in this space, just in informal alliance, informal cooperation. Because between us, we all reach

you know, people go over the daily beast pods or they go to, um, well, we haven't, we're with

watch Ali that left hook or they're going to the career news pods with terror McGowan or they're going to politics girl with Lee McGowan and I can go on and give you this whole big list.

“But what we're trying to do is to get everybody together. And I think the more support these people”

get, the better. And this is also, by the way, the independent journalism that is actually telling you the truth. And, and, and that's also important because you're not yet in the truth, from traditional media. And you're certainly not getting the truth of it comes through the filter of Scott Jennings. I mean, you've been, you've been on CNN and had to deal with some of these

buzzers. Unfortunately, I have. I sat right next to Lady Jennings. This was prior to her 20-minute

phone call with Mitch McConnell. But I mean, this, that corporate news is so not to be trusted. The fact that he is paid to sit in line and that his bosses don't say, you're lying, you're fired. It's just, we've gone so far. The moral collapse and everywhere is just overwhelming. If you went to your job every day and lied as much as Scott Jennings lies, you could get your ass fired. But he gets paid to go on television. And last week, he started sending his clips

to the White House so he could replace Caroline Love. Could you imagine being that thirsty that you

“want to, your audition go work for him? I mean, what is wrong with these people, seriously?”

Well, but I don't, I don't get it, Jen, because I look at the president of the United States. And I see a bulge in his pants and in his front in his gaining weight and his hands, if that all these things, and his clearly has got six callostomy bags going on there, some life. His whole ratings are falling into the 20s and that I just read a story this morning, which said Republicans are still think Trump is the greatest president ever.

And it's like, what's the kind of, it's simply a brain eating amoeba. It's what's going on here. I mean, if you were just, like, people in the White House are doing the math, Caroline Love, it's gone. The White House counsel is gone. The publicly ason person is gone. They're, they're hidden for the exit. They can read the handwriting on the wall. But yet the bulk of the Republican Party is still living in fear or cold or whatever the

fuck is going on. It's, it's bananas. It is absolutely bananas. Minna, you haven't said anything.

“It can be turned to you. Somebody said poor Minna earlier in the chat. I was like, what the fuck?”

Minna is a great job. Minna's happy. Minna's happy. Are you happy? Minna, don't you love what you do? I think I'm going to do like a a double blind test and start lying

a work. And so you get to be fired, like, we'll just see how it goes. No, no, you would never do that.

You would never ever do that. But, you know, here would not neither of us or Zoomers, Minna. And are we getting it, right? Yeah, I think so. I think, you know, it's been really great to hear you guys talk on a leon this podcast, but on all of your other shows. And I think that it's exciting to see hopefully a blue wave in voting. But I think we also need what you guys have kind of been speaking to. This blue thought wave. And it sucks that things have had to get this bad for

people my age to wake up to the realities of being engaged. But my hopeful side hopes that they will start looking for outlets to influence them, like this independent media, that you guys were talking about, that speaks to their very real pain and very real struggle. And what they actually want and not just this like cult of, oh, we want to be strong and we're doing testosterone. And like, all of that is, I mean, I don't think it's cool, but I know in the

last election, that was like, a super cool thing that everyone was talking about. But I think that now we're in a spot where the kind of show of that has worn off. And people are like, no, I want to listen to people who actually speak to what I am experiencing and how are we actually going to fix this. And I think you guys are doing it. And I'm so happy to be a part of it and listen to your conversation. It makes me really excited about political engagement. Because I think

every time I read the news or pull these stories together. So, a lot is daunting. It's stressful. I'm like, choose, I'm like, okay, do I do the story about how all of our food is poisoning us? Yeah, story about the Medicaid, money being taken away from old people in Florida and

you have to choose from and you have to prioritize like, like, you said earlier, David, like, what out of all of this shit is the worst shit? Like, what is the shit that I should be

“focusing on? And so I think that people, I, I'm not only do I think I know because of all the”

people who are here that we're looking for people who actually speak to what we should be focusing on, but more importantly, how we're actually going to fix it. So, thank you guys. Well, I appreciate that. And I think, you know, one of the reasons that we've got men and also Riley on our daily podcast and additional all the experts on all our other podcasts is it's

very important that we go and we gauge Zoomers. We, you know, the next election is I always say,

it's the first the 2028 is the first in which the majority of voters are born since 1999. And that is a, you know, changes the perspective on everything, um, the environment and the economy and what works in our society and what doesn't work. And the reality is most of these people don't think our society works. In fact, I, as you know, I'm not looking for common ground between maga and progressive, but I'll give you some common ground. And I'll offer this up and then Jenny

can have the last word. But my sense is the common ground is people do not feel like they're in control of their lives, their government. They feel it's been co-opted by a bunch of billionaires. They feel that those people are getting all the spoils. They're getting richer and richer.

Everybody else is falling behind. And the reality is the evidence supports that, you know,

upward mobility is is is at its worst level in 40 years in the United States in common equality is that it's worst level in decades and decades in the United States, billionaires are gaining and gaining while hospitals being closed and, and, and people are talking about

“cutting back on Medicare and Medicaid. And, and I think 25 million people in this calendar year”

are going to get pushed off of Medicare and Medicaid, um, or lose the subsidies which enable them to support it. 25 million people. And so, you know, the system is not working for them. And I think what, you know, the progressives wanted, I think, but what maga wants is just somebody is going to go and exercise power on behalf of us because, you know, not to sound like, you know, fifth grade civics text, but the senior most title in the U.S. government is citizen. It's not present.

Right. Gen last word. Um, I think what we all want right now are fighters and people that are fighting against all of these forces that want to keep the status quo, exploit the status quo, change the status quo more towards the billionaires. And sadly, we have some of these people in our own party, the corporate Democrats. And I have, I get confused and I feel a lot of angst about it a lot of times. But my message to a lot of my friends and I hope that Democrats adopt this.

The corporate people say we can't let DSA and we can't let the progressives take over our party. And I think they're saying that all wrong. The corporate and the corporations have taken over the

“Democratic Party. If we look back to FDR's presidency, it was so wildly successful. That's why”

we now have term limits. Because he believed in strongly and rigorously regulating capitalism, so wouldn't lead to this. He saw that this would happen. Karl Marx saw that this would happen, that the competition would eventually morph into oligarchy. And we need to have a government that works for us, as I mentioned, I recently moved from Oklahoma City to New York. And up in Mamdonis Dan, aside from all the wokshaurea that I get every single day. Every single day, Zoran

is on his social media showing us what he's doing for the city. And not the richest New Yorkers, because they're fine. They fly private. They have big pen houses. He's talking to the people who make New York. The people, the workers, the waiters, the street cleaners, all of the people that I'm working class jobs, which far outnumbered the billionaires. And he's out showing them I'm here to work for you. And there's this meme online all the time that I see where it's like,

somebody put it, it's Zoran doing something that's was like, oh, you mean the whole time, a politician just could have done this, like they could have just gotten up and started working

for us or you kidding me? Because we always get this word salad and this mealy mouth stuff

from our politicians. And we don't get direct answers. We need to follow his lead and remind people what government is supposed to do. We are the bosses of it, we the people. And it's supposed to work for us not for these loser psychotic billionaires. I'm just leaving you with that.
