"Very good, very good, very good.

"Very good." "Very good, very good." "That's a lot." "That's a lot."

โ€œ"Stiff-dome, warm-taste, computer-built,โ€

focus-manly, chip-finance-tap-such-te-was-auce."

"Mega, but the stuff is still complicated." "Nรถ, just a few words from the real estate business and made a mistake." "Very good, very good." "Very good, very good."

"Very good, very good, very good." "This is the 31st of July." "Hello and welcome to the DSR Daily." "It's a Friday." That's it.

That's all I had to tell you. You know, that's good news and we can just move on. But no, I'm David Rothkopf. I'm joined by Riley Fessard Minestine. And we're going to spoil the fact that it's a Friday

by telling you what's actually happening around the world on this Friday. And rather than theorizing about this,

โ€œwhy don't you just tell us one of the storiesโ€

and people can say, "Oh, I wish it were really the weekend already."

"My first story is that tomorrow is the weekend."

"Nice, good story." "Unfortunately, that's not my first story, but I wish it was. Unfortunately, other bad things are happening. President Trump has removed the remaining commissioners of the bipartisan election assistance commission,

leaving the federal voting agency leader list just months before the midterm elections." The outster of the two Democratic members and the resignation of our Republican commissioner follows a recent Supreme Court ruling,

expanding presidential authority over the federal bureaucracy, which the White House cited as justification for the removals. While the administration defended the move as part of an effort to align the leadership

with its election security goals,

Democratic election officials and lawmakers

sharply condemn the purge,

โ€œwarning that it creates unnecessary chaosโ€

and strips of local administrators of vital nonpartisan support. "Yeah, I mean, red flashing lights, everybody. He's dismantling the apparatus that helps states manage elections. The argument that they have administration

wide election security goals gives you a hint of what they're going to argue with everything." Which is in order to ensure the security of the election, the director of national intelligence is going to get involved because foreign interference

and let's see all those voter roles and let's see all your machines and let's impound them and make sure that everything was fine. And let's reduce all the aids to the states and let's try to make this as federally-centric

as we can, even though the states are responsible for elections by the Constitution, not the federal government. They're cheating, they're cheating. And the Supreme Court, the right-wing majority on the Supreme Court are enabling it.

And justice, you know, Chief Justice Roberts and the others, you know, they are like, well, our job is to keep an eye on the role of the presidency. But of course, they know what they're doing and they know how deranged and dangerous

the current president of the United States is. They could have predicted this. They did probably in private as they kind of played at the consequences of what they were doing.

We're less of a democracy today. The results of our November elections are more in jeopardy today. This administration is beginning its process of trying to steal these elections.

This is a nerve in, but it's a sign of things to come. Eight men have been indicted in Ohio, a great state, but maybe not for this story. On federal murder and terrorism conspiracy charges for their roles in a thwarted at drone and sniper plot,

targeting the June at UFC cage fighting event at the White House. Driven by conspiracy theories aimed at destabilizing government, the group amassed weaponry and planned to detonate explosive laden drones

before shooting panicked attendees as they fled. Federal prosecutors alleged the conspiracy specifically targeted high profile figures, including president, vice president, JD Vance, Elon Musk, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Was Benjamin Netanyahu with the UFC badge? I, that's news to me. I didn't think it was, but maybe, I don't know. These guys may not be the sharpest tools in the shed, but on the other hand, speaking of tools

that are definitely not sharp. You know, cash-patel announced that all this,

You know, this case was being pursued

before the case was resolved.

And I guarantee you there were missteps on the part of cash-patel that are going to put the legal underpinnings of this case at risk. Having said that, drone attacks as part of, you know, domestic terrorism or criminal activities,

I think we should get used to it.

โ€œI think that's gonna be a big part of these things going forward.โ€

What would be, you know, I mean a drone attack allows you to reach out and deliver an explosive with a very small device at a long distance that keeps you at a distance from what's going on. I think it's one of the reasons that Trump thinks

that he needs a ballroom, you know, the other day, Trump said, well, you know,

we'll never be able to have a safe outdoor inauguration

again, so we have to do it inside the ballroom. He's kind of scared, you know? Honestly, you know, he has every reason to be, even if some of the assassination attempts around Trump raised some questions about their origins

or how he handled them more, what the real intention was. There are real people out there who think ill of him and there's a big banner up in Tehran saying, we will kill you to Trump. And in Ankara for the NATO summit,

he looked really rattled as he talked about. He brought it up a couple of times and I suspect, you know, the Iranians have been active in this world for a long time. - We Ohioans are known for our crazy schemes.

Don't look at Vivek Ramaswami running for governor. - Just look at you on this podcast.

- Yeah, I'm always scheming.

- You're the Vivek Ramaswami of deep state radio. - And Minnesota is always saying that. Think that you're the Vivek Ramaswami. - I always say that. - Yeah.

- I gotta tell you, if Vivek Ramaswami wins as becomes governor of Ohio, what she won't. But if he does, I certainly hope your family is intending to move. - I think they just might.

โ€œI think that would be a final straw for my parents.โ€

- Yeah, no, I just gotta get out. There's just a certain point where your state becomes Kuku for Koko Pops and you've gotta go someplace sane. The problem is most Ohioans when they quit Ohio, you know where they go, we know, they go to Florida.

- I was gonna ask, guess Florida. - Yeah, and that's not, that's not a good choice either. All right, come on, what else do you got? - Hey, it's David and I hate to interrupt the podcast, but I wanna tell you some exciting news.

So we rely on you, we are grateful, join us on Substack. Thanks. - U.S. representatives Sylvia Garcia revealed that a 52 year old Houston man was not the actual target of the immigration operation that resulted

in an ice agent, fatally shooting him on Tuesday. The federal agents were executing a lower level administrative warrant rather than a criminal one in acting ice director, David Vantarella confirmed

That none of the officers involved were equipped

with body or dashboard cameras.

โ€œThe fatal incident has sparked national outcryโ€

and prompted multiple independent investigations from the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Harris County District Attorney's Office. - Yeah, and also the government of Mexico.

You know, here's the thing.

This guy lived in the United States for 35 years. This guy was a contributor to his community and he was murdered. He was the latest person gunned down by ice. We don't know the full total of ice murders

and torture and death and suffering that has come as a consequence of Steven Miller and Tom Holman and Mark Wayne Mullin and of the crazies who are behind all of this. And we do know the dozens of people

have died at the hands of ice or died in ice prisons. And others have suffer or not gotten medical care or been tortured or have been sent to other countries where they shouldn't have been sent to where God knows what has happened to them.

And you know, I think we live in a time

โ€œwhere it's like, well, if you can't say a thousand peopleโ€

died, it's not a big deal.

What about the families of these people? What about the individuals who suffered? You know, this is cold, blooded murder as a result of hate and incompetence. And it's happening again and again

and because it's being done by the government, they get away with it. And it's despicable. It's not an incident in the news. It's a hateful pattern created by the hateful behavior

of evil people. Call it anything less. To suggest that the people who are running ice are anything less than criminals is to underestimate the severity of the problem we face.

Well, I have a story that's going to be absolutely shocking, David. You're not going to believe this one. I'm not. I'm not.

Are you all you sitting down? Are you ready? Unfortunately, I'm sitting down. Despite public assertions that peace is near, Kremlin sources reveal that President Putin

is flatly rejecting ceasefire compromises. And I mean, he's determined to capture the remainder of Ukraine's dumbass. The threat? No, no, no, no, no.

President Trump told us he would solve this word in 24 hours. I mean, what are you talking about? This is crazy talk. Vladimir Putin is Donald Trump's best friend.

Vladimir Putin would not do this to Donald Trump. If Donald Trump says end the war, Vladimir Putin will end the war. How can you make this stuff up? Fake news, Riley, fake news.

Well, it gets even worse because rather than backing down under pressure from recent Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian infrastructure Putin is reportedly planning to escalate the conflict with military experts warning of potential at provocations targeting NATO allies

to sew division. Although the grinding war of attrition has caused massive casualties and mounting domestic economic strain, the Russian leader of use securing a definitive territory as a strict matter of principle.

Principle? Really? Is that the word we're using here? But he's in a aggressor. He's a monster.

โ€œAnd I think that he does not want to look weak.โ€

And the reality is, Ukraine's kicking his butt all over the place

at the moment. And so, of course, he's going to say he's going to escalate because what else is he going to do? It's like Trump saying, OK, now we're going to-- now we're going to really bomb Iran.

And the Iranians are like, well, bring it on, bro. You know, you just ran thousands of missions against our country. We're still here. Now, could this escalate to a level that we haven't seen

before, particularly in Ukraine with Putin, on the deep state radio this week? We discussed the possibility that he might use a tactical nuclear weapon and how we might react to that. My guess is, if he does, the United States

is like they'd react to it by going, oh, he used a tactical nuclear weapon. I mean, I don't think Trump would respond in a big way. But could it escalate? Yes.

Is it likely he's going to do some big push? No, because he doesn't have the money. He doesn't have the people. The life expectancy of people who enter his military is actually just a couple of weeks.

Literally, from going to the military, you get trained, you get sent into Ukraine,

That average life expectancy of Russian soldiers

a couple of weeks.

And there are soldiers that they're importing from Africa

and elsewhere who think they're getting some great pay day and a great opportunity from the Russians. And they all get killed. And the attacks across Russia are continuing. And there looks like that the Ukrainians

have every intention of increasing their intensity. So where does this lead us? Somebody's going to black. It's not going to be the Ukrainians. And a certain point, Putin can't take it anymore.

And I suspect at that point, Trump will try to help him negotiate a settlement that looks like a victory for him.

โ€œThat's what Trump's been doing all along.โ€

I just think they will redouble efforts and get our crack team, Steve Witkov, Jared Kushner, who understand every issue in the world and are expert in everything.

And they're kind of like James Bond, mixed with Superman.

When you send them in, they solve problems. Right, menna? I don't know. That's what I heard, but-- Don't you have a big Jared Kushner poster over your desk there.

Yeah, I do. Yeah, yeah, of course you do. And it just says the problem solver under it. It's a photo of him. The problem solver.

Yeah, the problem. OK. Probably inspired. Probably of one more story for us. I have one more story looking towards an immediate future.

President Trump announced

โ€œthat he will immediately petition the Supreme Courtโ€

to re-here has recently defeated birthright citizenship case,

fiercely criticizing their six-three ruling

as a quote unquote miscarriage of justice. The High Court's June 30th decision blocked Trump's 2025 executive order with Chief Justice John Roberts, writing that the 14th Amendment constitutionally protects citizenship for children born on U.S.

soil, regardless of their parents' legal status. While Trump and House Speaker Mike Johnson are simultaneously calling for legislative actions, to curtail the policy, legal realities dictate that changing the ruling would likely require a near-impossible constitutional amendment,

making Trump's last-digit re-hearing petition and extreme long shot. You don't get to do doovers in the Supreme Court? Y'all know, they didn't mean it. Let's do it again. Let's try and do this.

Oh, come on. It's just not going to happen. But that's what he does. It's what he's done with Eugene Carroll. It's what he does in all the legal cases he's ever been involved in.

Because he's a rich guy. He can hire lawyers, and they can file things that are insane, or they can file things that are delaying tactics, and they don't care because they don't care how much money they spend when you're rich guy doing it.

And of course, when you're the president, you've got the whole Justice Department doing your idiocy, or this is that our general doing your idiocy for you, can just keep pushing and pushing and pushing. Ridiculous.

OK, don't worry about that one. Have a weekend, go to the beach. Have a hot dog, celebrate. It's July. The World Cup semifinals.

It's next week as best deal day. We'll have a special best deal day episode. Because we're looking for things to celebrate here at the DSR network. Listen to our podcasts this week.

We did a great amount of words, matter with the norm. Ornstein, we did a great deep state radio. We did a great need to know. We've got a slow consciousness coming a little later today. We've got everything that we do on the daily blast

with the new republic. Listen to all that stuff. It's a great way to fill your weekend. You can just lie down. You're in the sun.

You've got sun block on. You've got snacks, handy. You've got your ear buds in. You don't want to listen to your kids shouting at you. You don't want to listen to all the other stuff.

You just plug these in. And you can listen to norm ornstein. Relax. His soothing notes telling you about how we're all going to hell in Washington, DC.

You know who's going to hell this weekend? Well, we don't know. We can just predict. But I bet there, you know, that he may be in hell already. I don't know.

Somebody sent me a note saying, well, you right, I don't pitch you area for Mitch McConnell.

โ€œAnd I was like, what news do they have that I don't have?โ€

But, you know, Mitch could already be there. We don't know. They don't tell us the truth. He could be right there next to the devil, where the devil's saying, good work, buddy.

Good work.

You did everything we asked you to do.

Anyway.

โ€œOn that cheerful note, have a great weekend, everybody.โ€

See ya Monday. Bye-bye.
