- And brings tears to my eyes now.

- You're crying. - It's such a beautiful thing. - Yeah. - Yeah.

- Coming up in this incredible part

to episode with Jim Curtis. - I want people to hear this because that are suffering.

That they've lost children, that they're sick,

that all these things that are happening, that they're really stuck in suffering. What if? - You talk about the power of self-love and self-compassion and the impact it has

on our body and our well-being. - There is real science around this, but the science of self-love, the science of gratitude. When we step into this self-love, it lowers all the stress home months.

It creates a healthier environment within us. First step is to raise the consciousness from this kind of happening to me. And when you get to the idea of this quantum energy, that is the fabric of all things and making me up,

and I am part of it, and we get into,

it's life is happening through me.

And that step alone, put you further into this, the creator's mindset. - Do you believe there's a power that's greater than ourselves, do you believe in God? - I do.

I do. There has to be. I've had too many experiences.

We have this ability to feel such a relief

that we start to tear up and cry. Why do we have faith? Because whether it's true or not, I feel whole, I feel safe, I support it, I feel loved. And when I feel that way, I can make others feel that way.

And isn't that enough? (dramatic music) - Jim Curtis, congratulations on your book. - Thank you. - The book of possibility.

- That's right. - Whether you're dealing with insecurities, health challenges or fear, imagine breaking fully free from self-doubt and truly transforming your life. Get ready to release,

in his new original interview series called Beyond the Program with Jim Curtis, premiering exclusively on Gaia, this October. So a lot of people have written in questions. You're girlfriend and all of our best friend, Jennifer Aniston. How do you process that when you see all kinds of stories

out there, you know? Jen and Jim are getting married. Jen and Jim go to Greece. Yes. I loved and Greece.

Yes. Don't Google yourself again, Jim. To see what the news is saying today. And that took like, yeah, three or four months. If you had any of the stories out there,

I've ever hurt your feelings. Yeah, some of things have hurt my feelings. Do you guys think you look alike at all? Like, I look at hands. We're both Greek.

Yeah, we look alike. That's the Greek in us. Like, real life Barbie, real life Ken. Like a hint. A Greek kind of barbie.

Great kind of barbie. Looking back at earlier years in your life and in your marry before and how son and for your identity who was Jim then and how and who is Jim now and how is your identity shifted?

Yeah, that's a really good one. And I am. Can you talk about what hypnosis is really? I love it because it is like, it is the ability to get into a deeper state of focus.

If I call it hypnosis, people like, oh no, you're going to control my mind. Do you think people are scared of the idea

that they'll lose control if they're in a hypnotic state?

Yeah, I think that they're scared that they will be controlled and lose control. Your mind has so many safety mechanisms. The biggest part is our memories. We can go into self hypnosis into our subconscious mind,

reimagine that, right? So that the new memory becomes more real than the old memory. The potential in the future reality is so much greater. We all have this intuition. We are all naturally plugged into something greater

and we have these noings and these intuitions. Whether it's our innate psychic abilities, I don't know what you want to call it. We have them. I'm sure you do and everybody else does.

You just have to call it, right? You do. Yeah. Do you believe we can time travel?

You've talked about past life regressions.

Soul contracts, so you and I may have had a contract at some time and we said, you know what? When we come to the world, we'll meet someone listening to this that doesn't believe it's pure trial. It's going to think that like we'll be.

We're both next. Yeah. When you're feeling stuck,

really the only way to get unstuck to take a step.

Her show is unlike any I've ever done. A revelation. When you listen, it feels like a hug. First lady in the shallow Obama. Jamie, you are going so deep.

I have never had this in-depth conversation.

I've actually never said that out loud to anybody

in an interview before you know how to get there. (laughs) Your brain and your spirit and your heart is like, "Wow, Melinda French Gates." When I look into Jamie's eyes,

I feel like I am on some other cosmic level with her. Megan, that's just obsessive. I wasn't expecting that one. I could see the light around her. She's infused with light.

Maria Shriver, I never made that mistake again. Imagine overcoming self-doubt, learning to believe in yourself and trust yourself and know you are enough. Welcome to the Jamie Kernley Mission. Jamie Kernley, most of our names.

Everybody needs Jamie Kernley in the life. Jamie Kernley, ma'am. Jamie, you're so inspiring. Jamie Kernley, ma'am. There's a lot of people out here that are not familiar

with hypnosis or they have misconceptions about it. I mean, they hear about hypno-coaching and hypno-meditations. Can you talk about what hypnosis is really? And what hypno-coaching and hypmo-meditations are

for people that are just hearing about it for the first time?

Right. So as a coach, hypnosis is a tool in my toolkit, right? As you come to build the house, that's not, you have many different tools and hypnosis is one.

I love it because it is the ability to get into a deeper state of focus. I just imagine that you're in a very busy train station. People are running around, everything's happening, and you put on some, you know, your headphones,

and you put on an eye mask, and you can still get into focus. It's the ability to push aside the static of our mind for a moment and go within and to perhaps our subconscious mind and to the thoughts and feelings of the theta state, which is a brainwave state, which is deeper concentration

and often associated with hypnosis. Now, meditation gets into hypnosis, transcendental meditation really gets into hypnosis. But guess what else? Scrolling on your phone, Instagram, you get into a state of hypnosis.

Watching advertisements on TV, so good at hypnosis, blinking lights, and moving statements of music, and then a suggestion by this product, or with Instagram, it is more, or with social media, I should say it is more, go to this next piece of content.

So we're a long drive. Today, I was driving down here in hour and 15, 20 minutes,

and I found myself having these amazing ideas.

I was like, why am I such a good idea? So I need to drive more, because I had this long stretch of road where I was able to just focus on the road, and everything else went, and all the thoughts came up, because I went into a theta state while I was driving.

Please do that carefully. So we go into hypnosis all the time. Now, this is how powerful words are. If I call it meditation, everybody's like, okay, I can accept that.

If I call it hypnosis, people like, oh, no, you're going to control my mind, right? So let's call it something different. Let's call it hypnometotation. Let's call whatever you feel most comfortable with.

But recognize that you're not comfortable with the word, and it creates a feeling in your body. And therefore, we can do anything with words.

See how powerful they are, right?

Now, let's call it something different,

Same with everything else in your life,

the what you say affects you. So hypnosis, this kind of idea of stage, hypnosis, and putting you under control, and like getting you act like a chicken, or like, like a watch, and having this get out moment,

it's not what I do, and it's not when anybody does. There are like, there are parlor tricks, and then there is hypnosis, that's a deeper state of focus, so that we can re-invision our lives in a safe place.

- Do you think people are scared of the idea

that they'll lose control if they're in a hypnotic state?

- Yeah, I think that they're scared that they will be controlled and lose control, that there is like something that says, yeah, I'm gonna make you do something you don't want, which is totally impossible.

Your mind has so many safety mechanisms that if I was to put you under hypnosis, and be like, you're gonna transfer all your money to me. Your subconscious mind would say, "Wait, open your eyes right now."

And you feel like, get out. So, you know, our subconscious mind will protect us a lot more than we think. - And so when we go into a hypnotic state ourselves, we can still control coming out of it.

- Yes, if I was to put you into hypnotic state, - You put yourself in one? - Yes, self hypnosis is really a powerful tool. And I teach people how to do self hypnosis is a really powerful tool to give ourselves suggestions

from our higher mind. And even then, if I was to put you in the deepest hypnotic trance, if you could open your eyes, if you felt uncomfortable. And I even put that suggestion in.

Move or feel uncomfortable, it doesn't matter. Your mind may wander or wander, drift or dream, or you may just want to open your eyes. But you could also listen to every, is giving yourself options.

And so, when you can do this with yourself, from your higher mind, count yourself down and put yourself into a state of theta where you become more suggestible. - Mm-hmm.

- And that's to either suggestions from Instagram or an advertisement or from your own mind and how you want to be. The biggest part is, most of our memories, they only live within our mind, right?

It's no longer happening.

And we remember things skewed based on the beliefs

that we had that came, right? And so, as a child, we, you know, dad didn't come to the football game.

And we think, you know, dad was never there

and never showed up, done love us. And so, we can go into self hypnosis, into our subconscious mind, reimagine that, right? So that the new memory becomes more real than the old memory.

And if that is the case, then the opportunity, the potential and the future reality is so much greater. And you can do this with fears and phobias. Like, I did this with a woman at one of my workshops. She was afraid of snakes.

Couldn't go outside walking. She lived in a very rural area. And all she thought about was snakes. Couldn't go outside walking. - Massive cares.

Don't go outside. Don't go into a snake. You know, like, there's not enough snakes around, you know, for this being issue in your life. And so, can't you just live with this?

And knowing that there's always a deeper meaning.

And she said, well, you know, my husband and son go hiking all the time. I was like, okay, you'll see them for lunch where they get back. Well, I feel left out.

- Mm. - Oh, so, what happens when you feel left out?

And this is the questioning. Well, I feel like I'm disconnected from my son when I can't experience these long hikes with them because I have a phobia of these snakes. Okay, so the real issue is disconnection.

So you want to be connected as a family having this experience and you feel shameful that you can't because you have a fear. Okay, so first we think about how awesome will be when you're hiking with your son

and your husband with no fear. So let's get connected to the future state that you want because it exists now and she, I could see her drop her shoulders and like her heart opened up and like, yeah, as I can't wait for that.

Okay, so you already feel the emotion now.

So the reality is already starting to happen.

Now, we went into a quick trans state. And I said, when was the first time this fear came up? Well, my grandmother said something. And we reframe to what her grandmother said. Showed her that that child didn't have to be afraid

of snakes anymore. It took about six minutes. She came back, open her eyes and I feel great. Is there you're gonna go hiking with your son? Yes, I think so.

One to 10, I afraid it's the next zero. One to 10, how excited you go hiking with your son and husband 10. Okay, tell me if it works, call me. She was hiking that entire weekend.

We were up in New York.

Six months later, she sent me a picture of her hiking

with her son and husband. And so that's what hypnosis can do. - You talk about having an experience where you sort of had a vision of your future self when you hit your 50th birthday and being like

this loving relationship and all these things. Was that a practice you did back then that then came to your fruition? Like, did you imagine the emotions? What you just described?

Did you imagine the emotions around what that would all be like? And then now it's happened. - I think that's a different part.

I think that we all have this intuition.

We are all naturally plugged into something greater. And we have these noings and these intuitions and we have these, you can call it instincts. Whatever it is, but when we quiet our mind down more, we can more finally attune to those.

You know, whether it's our Nate's psychic abilities, I don't know what you want to call it, we have them. And so when I quiet myself down from my fears, I often have noings. I'm not the only one, I'm sure you do and everybody else does.

You just have to call it, right? You do, yeah. And so my 47th birthday is looking around the table at all the couples that have invited and I'd quiet it down that voice of,

well, I have never been in a relationship.

And I just had this knowing, that's not now. 50 years old is kind of just had this 50 come. And I just knew that when I was 50 years old, I would be in kind of a more serious partnership. I didn't know with who, or when, or how, I just knew.

And what that did, it settled me. And it settled by kind of fear and said, oh, you know what, come, everything in time. - So you trusted it. - That's a great way to put it, trust, trust.

- Right, I remember being a little girl,

watching Oprah on my, like I'd sit in my living room all alone, watch Oprah. And I just knew, like I just knew one day that I would meet her one day, all these things. And it made me no sense.

Like I was in the middle of Washington State and didn't know no one who knew no one. But I just like had this knowing. And I was like, I've had that happen many times in my life. And if I were to like tell someone

which I have on occasion, makes no sense to anybody. But then it happens. - Right now, up is your neighbor. - Yeah, and then friend, yeah, and friend. - And friends who are in all of it.

First guest on the show. - Really? - Yeah, yeah. - So how did you learn to trust her knowing? - You know what?

I look back in the moments I didn't trust it. I regret. Most of my biggest mistakes are when I listen to other people right, you know, listen to my head. Instead of that, that knowing, yeah.

And then I look back in the moments I did listen to it.

I'm like, okay, didn't always work out.

But I like, I learned less than I needed to. Or I just always felt like it was right. Like I was supposed to. So I trust it. - Right.

- Yeah, sometimes I don't want it to be what it is. - Right, exactly. And it's like, what if it's like, oh God, I don't want to do that. - Yeah, yeah, yeah, but I know it's there.

And sometimes I ignore it. That's for sure. But yeah, I feel it. I feel it. - Yeah.

- A lot about spirituality and energy and the idea of I am. So where does God fit into the understanding of all this? For you, do you believe there's a power that's greater than ourselves?

Do you believe in God? - Mm-hmm. I do. I do. There has to be.

You know, I've had too many experiences. And I've worked with too many people that I've worked with people with past lives. Regression that I've done in my mentor, Dr. Brian Weiss, who wrote many lives, many masters

that first book that got me on my way.

I've worked with people who have had NDs, they've died or they were pronounced dead. And then they came back to life in the surgery or operating room and they came one man came back and he was crippled.

But he said, my life is the most beautiful

and powered life ever now I chose to come back. We have this ability to close our eyes and to go through the most expansive universe ever of our own mind. We have the ability to step in

and when we release this kind of knowingness of who we are and become into the grace of God or the quantum or the nothingness feel such a relief that we start to tear up and cry. It's hard to say that there's not something more

when we see a sunrise when it's absolute splendor. When we see the same swirl of my fingers in the stars and my fingerprint in the stars or the back of a leaf, it's either it's the matrix and it's all a program that we're in

which there is some divine presence.

We've all felt it at one time or another.

And so I say to myself, if I'm a divinely guided and I can believe that, what's possible and how do I feel?

In the answer is, I feel really confident

and I feel really supported and I feel really safe. I feel really loved. And now I ask myself, do I know for sure and for certain this is absolutely true?

No, I can have faith and why do we have faith? Because whether it's true or not, I feel whole, I feel safe, I support it, I feel loved and when I feel that way, I can make others feel that way.

And isn't that enough?

- Do you align with any specific religion or faith?

- No, I would this idea of spirituality which is the universe is operating for us. It's not malicious. In fact, this world is conspiring for us.

We have air that we can breathe and sun

that we can get energy from and that there is something more that if we put our attention to it, this is kind of where we spirituality often looks to quantum physics.

And although there is a big gap there, we make the leap because we want to believe that, you know, if we are an observer and we can put our attention on something, then we can create it.

And I believe that's, I make that leap every day and it works out. - Do you believe you co-create it with source or with God or with the power bigger than yourself or if you're divine and guided,

do you believe you co-create or do you believe you create and it's on you? - I believe that we are source, right? That's what the IM is. - Like God is in you.

God is experiencing life as me, right? That this idea of the universe or God or spirit or source is experiencing this life and all of its wonderful splendor and pain. Through my eyes, through my being.

And so we start to think I'm separate and like my fingers are separate, right? And it's like, of course, that's no God. And this is Jane and this is me and we're separate. And then we start to realize, oh, this arm

is experiencing is the universe through all of us. And of course we're connected, we're connected to the hand to the arm and to everything else. And so this idea that a wave in the ocean

is just a wave, is a silly idea 'cause it's the ocean experiencing itself as a wave and as the wave's done,

it returns to the ocean and I believe that's what we are.

A wave in the ocean of God's grace or of the universe or whatever it is. But it's at something greater than ourselves and when we attune to that, so much more as possible.

And do you believe for anybody listening or watching right now no matter what, maybe they practice a specific faith? Is your book for them no matter what faith they might practice? - Yes, or no faith. - No faith, right?

- Because we are two things. We are the IAM, which is the identity of our human potential. IAM, X, whatever you say. If you change your idea, IAM, you change your subconscious mind,

you change your human experience as that identity, as that avatar. - This is the easiest changing your IAM, right? I am people saying, you know, or I am not. You know, as a, that's not for me.

You know, like, I am whatever you say, you've said it a thousand times. That's what you believe you are. And that's what your reality will be.

So that's the first part.

- Whatever you say, after the words I am, you are. - You are. - You become. - Yeah. And so as we say in my human experience,

what I say I am, I become IAM,

whatever I believe I can or I believe I can't,

absolutely right. We're creating this reality, you know? And so that's the IAM, but also, hey, where is Spirit having a human experience? So if that's true, how do I remind myself

of my divinity, of my spirituality, of my higher self? Oh, and that's when we just say, I am. I am that I am. What's the that I am? Okay, well, that was in the Bible.

It's like I am, it all. We look in the Sufi texts. So now that says, you know, as above his below,

Let me start to look at all these religious texts.

All these kind of spiritual texts and say,

oh, yes, and the Kabala and all the Buddhist texts, it's this idea that, you know, what we see, we are, what we can create. Okay, so if that's possible, if that could be even if I

tuned to that a little bit, then what's possible for me?

And in the book, so okay, you know, I'm not really relating to that. Okay, stick with the IAM, which is your human potential, which is so great and beautiful. And when you're ready, we can get into something greater.

You've talked about past life regression for someone who's never heard of it. Can you explain what that is? Yes. And you're experiencing that.

Yes, have you ever heard of past life regression? I have not. But I'm aware of that. Right. So it's this idea.

And there is this, you know, many religions have this idea of reincarnation that the soul comes to this earth to experience this lifetime, right? And what we haven't finished, we come back to do, or we come back as partners, soul contracts.

So you and I may have had a contract at some time, and we said, you know what, when we come to this world, we'll meet and we'll experience these challenges together. Brian Weiss, Dr. Brian Weiss, and many lives of many masters, talks about this a lot.

It's such a great book. Anybody hasn't read this.

It was one of my first books that kind of opened me up

to this many lives of many masters. And I actually met him and he regressed me into a past life. And it was a pretty, he opened, and he wrote a blur for this book that he was so happy to open that doorway in my mind that allowed me to get to where I am today.

So it was a beautiful, it was a beautiful, full circle moment. But with path lives, it is shown that people who experience that are regressed into the memory of a past life.

In this lifetime, come back after that experience, right?

They had that past life for aggression, they come back, oh, and they're no longer have the fears that they once had. Because somehow, they remembered them and resolved them, just through revisiting those memories. Now, some may say, really?

And I said, perhaps it was a memory, and perhaps our subconscious mind is so divine, so intricate. And I hold so many emotions, so many opportunities, so much creativity and imagination. Perhaps you went back and remembered something

that you made up. And then you came back out of hypnosis, and you no longer had that fear because you believe that you remembered something and resolved it. OK, good.

Does that make it any, you no longer have the issue? So is that everything, what does it matter? And for those that say, you know what, I feel it, that's something that was real, and perhaps it was. And you've had an experience, right?

Yes, I've led many people through these experiences. And I've had my own experiences that I've truly believe was a picture, was a doorway, was a window, and to the potential of another time. Do you believe we're reincarnated?

Like our soul continues to come back and have different human beings? I do believe this. You do, yes. Yes, that's my spirituality.

That's my beliefs.

I believe that I believe that we, you know,

our soul has a purpose in that we are gifted this life. And that before we come here, and I want people to hear this because that are suffering, that they've lost children, that they're sick, that all these things that are happening, that they're really stuck in suffering, what if we decided

the lessons that we needed to learn before we were ever born? And that we knew what we needed through these challenges to grow into. And we came here to experience them. And that it's a hall, all right, nothing's going wrong.

We chose it. And that relief, right? And for instance, tears to my eyes now. And so I truly believe that. And I think that that release for many people, you know,

will help them shine despite the issues because they're no longer shameful of it. They chose it, so they're all learning. You're crying. It's such a beautiful thing.

Yeah. Yeah, because it helps people just for the person gym that says,

like, I would never choose this thing I'm going through.

Is it that before they came here, you believe, like, they chose, okay, I want to choose to learn love

Or I want to choose and then it's the six periods that happens.

Yeah, I want to, I want to understand the suffering

and grief of losing my child, which I have many clients that are dealing with that, right? And so what is that? And so you have a soul contract with that soul that says, I will be your child.

And I will show you what true love is through loss, right?

Or I want to understand and release the comma of, like, or understand what it is and learn and have the experience of learning to love myself despite my physical issue. So, okay, there you go. That's your life challenge.

We'll give you this illness so that you can grow and learn to love yourself despite it. And I believe these challenges are decided upon before we ever come here. And so, you know, that I think for a lot of people

and for me makes your suffering, okay, means something. And much easier to manage in this human life.

Now, we have to be grounded, too,

because if we believe that we're soul having a human experience, we need to have our human experience, right? It can't all be, woo, soul stuff. We need to, like, we're in the school here. Let's have our human experience.

And that means that we have mindsets, that we have patterns. We have things that we need to do here. Now, let's not get caught up in hours and hours and hours of meditation, right?

Let's get back into the body. Let's get back into the human experience and take an action to make life different. And then when things get heavy, all we have to do is close our eyes and put our hands over our hearts

and count down from 10. And go back into the remembrance of who we truly are and why we're here.

And I do that and it makes change my life.

- Do you believe every time you come back, every time your soul is back having a new human experience

that you've learned lessons you need to so far

and it's building or do you believe every experience is independent and you're choosing something before you arrive in that experience? - That's interesting. Yeah, I believe that it's building.

I believe that we have this karma, the Buddhist idea of karma that we're working through. - And so I've heard people say like, "Oh, you have this thing. You must have done something bad in your past life."

Do you believe that's true or no? Because that almost feels, is that karma or is that more just pessimism or the ridiculousness which I don't think God is? - You know, I don't know what that is.

I think that I think there are many different ideas about that, maybe. And that's okay. - This is gonna sound ridiculous, but whenever my husband kills bugs or kills something,

I'm like, you're gonna come back is that like I won't kill anything? And do you think we can come back as that? Do you think we can come back in a different form of it? - The Buddhist belief that, yeah.

The Buddhist belief that, yeah. And actually, kind of this is a higher evolved soul that gets to a point of like, I'm not gonna kill a bug. And so we have this idea of old souls, right?

And there's no old soul or a new soul. Your soul is eternal, but there is experience. And so, just say, we've been back here a thousand times that would do constitutes an old soul, right? And someone listening to this

that doesn't believe in spirituality or it's gonna think that like old people. - What about next? - Yeah. - Well, that's the new.

You can be very grounded at the same thing. But, yeah, so, okay, so, you know, I have this strong intuition. Right? I see ants.

I wanna lead them out of the house instead of squashing them. You know, I feel like, you know, when I see animals or babies or something, they resonate with me. And it's like, you know, it is believed that like, oh, okay, I've gotten to a level of knowledge

and awareness of energy, you know, that is true experience of many lives here. - Mm. Do you believe we can time travel?

- I believe that you just have to close your eyes

in your time travel. Remember, you're oldest memory, you know, it's called, you know, in the spiritual world again, it's called quantum leaping, right? So, okay, let me go to time travel right now.

I'm gonna go back to a memory, right? And, you know, that memory is very real for us. I also believe we time travel when we're triggered, right? So, you're in a argument with your husband or you get in an argument with someone

or even your driving or you, you know, you sometimes see these people and they're like on a flight and they're fighting. Or they're in the grocery store and they're getting into these like heated arguments.

And it's like, oh, you just got triggered

By something that happened in your childhood

and you just time traveled right back to it.

You literally became the identity of that person and now you're acting it out with this and this current reality. - Like PTSD is actually time travel. - Totally, yes.

- Do you believe you can time travel to your future self or to a different experience that might be happening at the same time?

- I don't know, it's really cool to think about, right?

The side of it. - So, about time traveled forward? - I don't know, I don't know. - Yeah. - Maybe. Maybe we all are.

I know that Joe dispends it talks a lot about this that you can close your eyes and go no time, no space and vision where you wanna be and then kind of like wake up

and perhaps everything's changed.

And I'm so interested by that. And perhaps that's happening every time we go to sleep, right? We wake up into this new reality. But I don't actually know. - Do you follow Joe's work, Joe dispense it?

- I have listened, I've spent a long time listening to his meditations. - Yeah. - And I love them. - Yeah. - Yeah. And I've read his books and I really love his work.

He lives right around here too, doesn't he? - Yeah, he's been really good friends.

- Yeah, is he? - Yeah, I think he's awesome.

- Yeah, I love him, have you done his retreats? - I did do one of his retreats way back when. - Yeah. - Yeah. - It's fascinating to think about even changing your own gene expression.

- Those things. - Yeah. - Yeah. And then is that time when you're changing your epigenetics in your own gene expression, and some of the research that he has from Heart Math,

that shows the coherence of the heart and mind, what kind of possible for resonance in your body is very exciting, right? And you can do this just by closing your eyes and going into a theta state.

Joe and I, you know, kind of one of the claims to fame where I like did, yeah, I graduated from college and got the business degree on all that, but then I went back to school for hypnotherapy. And that school's claim to frame was Joe

to spend the goddess hypnotherapy thing here. - Right, it's 30, 40 years ago. - Wow. - And so now there's, I guess they're saying that about me, but through the theta state through hypnosis,

you can get into these chances and it's just as easy as closing your eyes. - For the person who's like brandy to this, how would you describe the quantum field and your own interactions with it?

- Okay, how would I, how do I describe the quantum field in my own? It is like David Lynch said, this infinite field of this infinite sea of potential, this infinite sea of possibility and potential.

And there is below the vibration of what we are, as we open our subconscious mind today, alpha theta bridge is called the alpha theta brain wave frequencies. We get into the quantum field,

which is, I think of it as the matrix, when they kind of go into the white room and then they're just like, whatever they need and it comes flying in. I think of it as this,

and as they kind of describe it in quantum physics as this underlying connective tissue of everything that is making up everything and is part of everything. And reacts to the observation and intention

of our own mind. And it's incredibly loving. And that we can, with the frequency of love, start to create with it through it, as it.

And it's first step is to raise the consciousness

from this kind of happening to me. And when you get to the idea of this quantum energy that is the fabric of all things and making me up and I am part of it and we get into, it's life is happening through me.

And that step alone puts you further into this, the creator's mindset. - One of my favorite parts about your book is when you talk about the power of self love and self compassion and the impact it has

on our body and our well-being. A lot of people just think about all their faults. They have negative self talk. They think they're not enough. They think they're not lovable,

but they haven't really realized.

And I think they're just gonna be that way forever.

But they haven't really realized maybe the impact on their well-being. And to the point where they actually wanna do something about it and take a step like reading your book or take a step like understanding why

is it that they have these thoughts or this identity that they're unlovable or not enough and so many of us do. Like the stats are insane on how many women and men, right? Feel unworthy or inadequate or not enough.

So can you just talk about

for the person listening maybe who knows this is them?

But has it ever really connected the dots

on why they should actually do something about it? - Right. - And just what it's impact is on well-being. - There is real science around this, about the science of self love,

the science of gratitude and gratefulness that when you start to be grateful for this body, no matter what it is, you know, instead of saying, looking in the mirror and saying two old, two wrinkled, two fat,

and instead of saying, "Oh my God, alive." Like this body is helping me survive. It's healing itself. It's breathing itself. It's reproducing itself.

It's beating its own heart. And you say, "Oh, all this body wants to do is keep me safe in alive and it loves me." And I should love it back. And so when we step into the self love,

it lowers all the stress home bones. It creates a healthier environment within us. And it has been shown through research that when we do that, we heal faster.

Now we go people have better health outcomes

when they're in different things. I know for a fact that when I'm really mad at my knee because it's hurting and when I actually go, "Okay, you're doing all right, fine. "I step into this kind of gratitude,

"except in self love, it hurts less." And it's been shown that for people with severe chronic pain, and this has a giant impact. As well as hypnosis, research after study

after study for chronic pain, hypnosis is an amazing way

to actually lower pain. And so we start to say, "Why is this?" Oh, we're changing the chemicals in our body based on our emotions. When you're mad at them, different chemical.

Then when we love them, and a lot easier with oxytocin and epinephrine than cortisol. - I feel like this is such a perspective shift. A lot of people haven't even considered, but when something's wrong or we're in pain

or we have this out of immune disease or this is, we can hate that part of us.

We can get mad at it or we can wish it wasn't there

and it's like, when you actually learn to love it and encourage it, you shift all the chemicals in your body and all the sudden, the thing that you are so wish you didn't have actually could potentially heal faster

or you could actually feel better or it can shift not just your mental health but physical health. - The biggest pharmacy in the world is in our body and it's controlled by our brain and our emotions.

Our emotions controlled the biggest pharmacy in the universe right here. All those drugs that are created are to regulate the drugs that are already in our body and they're controlled by our emotions.

Isn't that, take your power back and start to emotionally regulate because all of this that we've talked about today in the entire book comes down to taking your power back and emotionally regulating.

Because when you can emotionally regulate and you are no longer in high alert, then you create a calm, safe space where anything is possible. When we open our awareness to go beyond the program

of this is my emotion, this is my body, I'm separate to like, oh, I'm in control of my emotions and my emotions dictate the chemicals in my body, the chemicals in my body and create real health changes or real mood changes or real potential.

Then it's like, oh, then yeah, and we talked about your dispensary, wrote a book called, we are the placebo. There is a placebo effect that they have to make drugs that exceed what our mind can do

and it's really hard to make those drugs, right? It is a big high standard that we have to owe and we disregard the placebo effect is just something that we do. But what if we really focused on it

and said the mind body connection

is some of the most powerful connection

that we have, we cannot only change our life and our body through it, like Bruce Sumpton says or a van to come for the body keeps the score, but then we can also change our reality. - Jim, you have lived through, you know,

everyone pretty much 100% of people have some type of physical health challenge or mental health challenge that they're dealing with. I love that you take us through your journey. Also of all the things you're talking about,

all the tools that you're teaching, all of the everything that you're sharing now but actually through your own journey as well of your own health because you're applying it through your own experience

to you and talking about the differences that you've seen from real tangible challenges that you've gone through and that you're, you know, continuing to go through. All right.

- But I just say there that I'm not the guru on the guinea pig, right? That's why I use myself. And yeah, this is tested. This is not like a wisdom of the teacher.

We're in this together type of thing.

Anyway, okay, there's stuff that we really--

- Don't you believe in the power being a lifelong student? - Yes, one different time. - Yeah. - Or all students.

And yeah, there are a lot of people want to be coaches out there.

There are a lot of people that want to teach to want to lead and they think, well, I don't know enough. I haven't arrived. I can't write that book, you know, who am I? As I, you're someone who's had a real experience

and that, you know, you are in a place where there's at least a few people that are one step behind you that can learn from you. And as you look to the people that can teach you and you're growth, I'm still looking to the people.

Like I look to you, I have questions, I was asking you questions earlier about life and what I should do.

All right, so I'm always looking to learn.

And at the same time, when I learn, I teach. - Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. Isn't that beautiful? Yeah, I agree. I feel like I'm a lifelong student.

- Yeah. - Always will be. So a lot of people have written in questions. Lot of people look excited about your book. Lots of different, lots of different things

that people want to know about, lots of different parts of your life. - Right. (laughs) - I've never felt you were excited.

All right, so you're girlfriend and all of our best friend, Jennifer Aniston. How do you handle any time, and it doesn't matter who, and there's like a high profile relationship, or anything like that, it doesn't even matter who,

it always comes with tablets and tabloid stories.

And we had, when Oprah was on the show, we talked a lot about the decades of the tabloid stories that were in her life. How do you process that when you see all kinds of stories out there, you know?

- Jen and Jim are getting married. - Jen and Jim go to Greece. - Yes. - Are you a loved and Greece? - Yes.

That was new. Yeah, that was new. And he had to be quite honest, and that was something that you used to. Because, you know, I've been pretty public for a long time,

but never this level or this kind of, in this segment. And I've never been in the Hollywood kind of trades, the press, you know, or no one's really cared to have dated in the past.

So that was an adjustment for me,

but it was a real learning experience too. It was a part of my growth, because, you know, I would get categorized at something at a tabloid, or it'd be a fake headline, or it'd be something that was not flattering or made out.

And I immediately would see, but they could have just gone to my LinkedIn page and saw all my achievements. All my wonderful things in there was like, oh, you know what?

This is your lesson that it doesn't matter what people are saying or thinking or doing.

You're working who you're helping is what matters most.

And so, don't Google yourself again, Jim. To see what the news is saying today. And that took like, yeah, three or four months. And now, you know, the kind of thing of three falls in the woods and no one's there to hear it,

but, you know, it doesn't make a noise. - Yeah. - And that's kind of, I told my, yeah, my family, I, you don't need to send me the latest. - Yes.

- Shot of me on a boat, my stomach ain't out. You know, like type of thing. - Yeah. - Yeah, these are just private moments with any couple of half. And it just kind of highlighted.

- Isn't that funny, friends and family that when it's new for them? They think that they're doing U.S. service? By like, oh, did you see this one? And do you see this?

And they send everything? - Yeah. - Oh, I'm like, okay, that's great. Thank you, thank you so much. I'm so blessed.

Right, I'm so blessed to have, you know, people care about what I'm doing. And also this further's a message of how I can help people. And also, yeah, sometimes it's not for our highest good and you don't need to send it to me.

- Yeah, have you had any of the fake headlines or whatever the stories that are out there? Have you had any of the stories out there ever hurt your feelings? - Yeah, some of the things that hurt my feelings.

- Yeah. - And then I had to say it's not, you know, like,

sometimes I think a lot of people like the negatives

so much as I hope people write really negative things. So it's really nasty things because there is a part of us, there's that shadow self that's really attracted to that. And if you're just writing nice things all the time, you know, people want a horseshoe too.

And people go on to see horror movies too, you know. So, and then I'd say, if I met this person in person, you know, we'd probably get along. They were sitting at a dinner table. Probably nice and get along, find common ground.

And this is their job and that's what they do

That's unfortunate.

And I'd let it go 'cause I know they don't know me.

- Mm-hmm. Do you guys think you look alike at all? Like a hint? - Well, both Greek, yeah, we look alike. - Like a hint, right?

- Yeah, yeah, that's the Greek in us. Like real-life Barbie, real-life Ken. - Like a hint. - A Greek, kind of Barbie. - Great, kind of Barbie.

You talk a lot about transforming identities, looking back at earlier years in your life and of your married before, and how's that? And for your identity, who was Jim then? And how, and who is Jim now?

And how is your identity shifted? - Yeah, that's a really good one. - And I'm so proud of my son, eating. - Eating? - Yeah.

- He's a way of college and his freshman year. He got his own job, he bought himself a car

and I'm so proud of him, he's an amazing kid.

And my identity now, I think, shows confidence, right, shows self-exceptance,

shows self-love, and I think that he can kind of,

I believe we teach our children to the way we are and act our way of being along with all the things we have to tell him. And I think, 20 years ago, I think I was also very loving but I had left confidence in myself.

And I had less self-acceptance. And I was trying to kind of ignore this body. And I would, you know, people, what happened? And I said, "I didn't want to talk about it." Instead, I tried to fabricate the story

that would have the least amount of questions. What happened, motorcycle accident? No more questions after motorcycle accident.

So I'm just gonna ask how fast you,

there's no more questions when you say, "Unknown illness." So then people, we got to the leads to more. So I think, the between now, I am, you know, I think I've grown in terms of my ability to make an impact on my family and the world.

And then I was supportive in loving and caring. And also, I think I had a lot to learn. - Has your son read your book yet? - No, no one's read this book yet. - No one?

- Some parts. - I feel lucky. - Yes, I feel lucky. - Yes. I was fun recording it.

I was in the studio recording and I let some people here like the chapter of my voice recording it or so but no one's read the whole thing except for, you know, my publisher. - Wow, so handful of us.

- Right, and you, yes, yes, I've read it. - I've read a cover. - Yeah. - Are you nervous about anybody reading it? That you can think of or you excited?

- I'm excited. - Yeah.

- I'm excited, I think, I think the frequency of this book

will spread a lot of love and help people and I'm excited for that. - Yeah, for the person at home who is listening to all this and they're like, "Huh, something really just hit me." Like maybe it's like, they want to just change, you know,

parts of their life to help them love themselves more. Or they want to just enjoy life more, or they want to gain confidence. Or they're like, "Wow, Jim's journey of dealing with different things that he's gone through

and saying that he's now come to this place where you're so much more confident than you've ever been and you have this life and the loving relationship and a thriving business that you're not putting a ceiling on anymore."

And that you kind of come to this place of expansiveness. What would you say to the person who may be right now is like, "But Jim, I'm stuck, but I want to do something about it and can you just share in your words?" 'Cause I could do this for an hour.

Can you share in your words how your book, the book of possibility is for them? - It will give you one possibility. It will give you one potential, right? And then it will give you a number of steps that you can take

because when you're feeling stuck, really the only way

to get unstuck to take a step. And the reason why we stay stuck is because we're like, we see the end result and we think that we need to take a leap. But once small step leads to another step. And before you know, you've got an inch and then you've got a yard

and then you've got a football field and then you've got a mile and you look back and you see the trail of steps. So if you want to get unstuck, this book will help you. It very easily and relatable will show you

That you can find your right step.

And that it doesn't have to be a huge leap.

It can be a small step and a small step always leads

to the next small step. And so you won't be overwhelmed. And if you heard something today, this is like, "Oh, I felt that in my heart." Or I felt as a release to breath and I was like,

"Oh, what if that's true?" And then you started overthinking it.

That's your first awareness.

You don't need to rethink just allow your energy and your emotions to settle and to regulate. And from there, you can say, "I don't have to believe every word that my thoughts say." And instead, I can start to dictate what I want to happen

and how I want to do it. And then that's your next small step. Start telling myself those words more often. Put 'em in an IM statement, right? IM what I want to become.

And that will help you. - I want to say too, I think so many of these topics if there are new to somebody can be intimidating or we can think like, "Oh, am I smart enough to do this?" Or do I have what it takes?

I think one of your superpowers that I've observed in a few occasions, actually, is that whoever is exposed to you, whether it's through conversation or through your book or I was at a Godmother's event,

or a bunch of us were together and you were leading everyone through your process. I think one of your superpowers is somehow all of us feel like we're not doing it wrong and like you're reminding us, like you said earlier,

like something feels like, "Oh, okay, I can do this." Oh yeah, I do have what it takes to do this. Oh yeah, I'm okay, I'm not everything I'm effing up

in my life is actually, I'm getting it all right

'cause this is the human experience, yeah. The way you said this earlier, we're initially on people like, "Oh, that, you know, I'm glad for the reminder." I'd like you're actually when your superpowers

is helping people see the power inside of them that's in there already, one of the words

that you use a lot that I've never heard anyone else use

is you say you're doing it exactly right. And you say that and I remember the first time when I was at the event you were at and you were guiding us through an experience and you said those words out loud, over and over.

And I remember I felt my body just kind of like exhale a little bit 'cause like none of us think we're doing anything right, half the time, you know? And all of a sudden you're like, "You're doing this exactly right." And I wanna call this out because for someone

who is maybe going, "Hah, should I check out the book "a possibility, it's gonna be a book or you read it?" And you're like, "I'm doing it right." Even though you talk about tools that can change someone's life, the way that you communicate them

and the way that you lead people through them, I think gives them a confidence and a peace that they have what it takes already to do it. I think that's a super power of yours. - Well, thank you for saying that.

And I think you're right one of my skills is to take complex ideas and make them easy. And like I said at first I was like, "Boy, maybe I need to be more profound "of these are just reminders and then I should realize,

"Oh, sometimes a reminder is the most important thing we can have."

- I think it's Colin Powell who said in the right key

one can say anything in the wrong key, nothing. I don't need delicate parts. This establishment of the key. And the way you establish the key is gonna allow a lot of people to walk through this

and experience it and that's really cool. Whether it's a brand new novel idea, whether it's something that you learn from someone that you talk about, how they change your life, the prayer, but when you explain it through here,

the way that you communicate is sort of this is disarming and confidence building. So I think that's a super power. And I think that's huge 'cause a lot of people pick up books they get a chapter through

and their brain feels like the explosion moji emoji and they can't like get through it. And so I want to honor that as one of your super powers. The very last question I have for you just for that one person out there who's like,

"Okay, but does this apply to me?" You say you are the consciousness that creates worlds. Can you just share to the person listening? What is possible for them with what they already have right now?

- Right, what's possible for you is that you're creating your entire world. You're creating your entire reality and your experience of it based on your beliefs, that support your patterns, that support your identity.

And so if you can become consciously aware and in a very loving forgiving way say, "That's no longer me, I am something different." Then you can create an entirely new world for yourself.

One beyond all expectation.

And I know because I've worked with thousands of people to do this, one that you wake up happy.

Now you go to bed easily, more of the time, not always.

And that you're in the relationship that you're beyond the dream to. For you're in a relationship where you get over conflict easily because you're on the same team. It's all possible.

And it comes with your own awareness that you are the creator of your world. - So we're gonna link to everything, but just in your own words, where are the best places for people to find you,

will you also share about the app that's in your book?

- Yes, the best place to find me is Instagram. At Jim Curtis One, I do a lot of stuff there, but I'll say YouTube. And the app that's coming out at the same time of the book is called the Possibility app.
