Want to say overwhelmingly negative, but I think from how would agree with you for the comic book fans I think they were a little upset because there's just like where's the green where's the lanterns? Where's the lanterns and I think maybe from the prestige set. It's a little bit like not my true detective. Well, no, I would even say that I would argue that people who aren't really into the comic stuff like oh, this is great

So my question though is we've seen God gardener and superman And lanterns was a project that cracked me if I'm wrong. I believe what predates James gone. I believe so and what's interesting to me is I'm like They've said that guy gardener

I believe it's been to ease that he's going to be in the show even in the small capacity But the way he uses the ring and Superman is very cartoony is very comic booky and in this trailer It seemed like they were pitching a More serious green lantern someone who to your point is like might not be making big fish might not be making like Arrows and whatever with it might be using it in a more calm down way

“I'm wondering how do you marry those two approaches the comic book approach versus the prestige HBO?”

Well, they don't have to is the thing in my opinion. There are obviously, you know scores and scores and scores of green lanterns Yeah The question for the show to me is what is it about how and John's relationship? That is propelling this narrative that might be some of the reason why they're not being more obvious with the ring use and stuff stuff like that. Guy gardener is a part of this team

Everyone seems to know this team He is in the middle of thing there being seen. It seems like what they're doing has its own purpose and if it does have its own purpose That might explain why while they're playing in a little closer to the vest all of that will probably be litigated by the narrative of the show. I'm not saying that I know that. I'm saying there is a world where you can have a more obvious green lantern And where you have members of the green lantern core that may be honest obvious

Do you think they were a little scared creating the show to your point about there's not that much green lantern shit in this Where they're creating the show where they're like that Ryan Reynolds movie was such a bomb

Super girl trailer not a home run kind of a bun this trailer similar If all three of these are just like not even bad just like okay, but they don't Get the people moving. Could give us that infinity Oh, in-game feeling or is it just it's an indefranera? I think they're absolutely good like there are tons of DC stories that have the equivalence of like at least the weight and like culmination event that endgame had certainly but you need like what a 15 plus year run of Cultural goodwill in order to make it all of that happen. Well To Charles's point what I will say is that what Marvel understood was that making an Iron Man movie for the sake of making an Iron Man movie

What I'm starting to realize is that what I personally need to do is just go in the movies to have as much fun as possible

The movies that hit and in the MCU early on the ones that really hit not the ones that were kind of good right, but the ones that really We're talking about Ironman so Ironman Avengers Avengers Guardians Guardians Winner soldier so those films civil war a little bit later, but still those films are remembered for story Yeah, right like those movies are remembered because like when I left Winner soldier

Did not reach like like when are soldiers at tight movie Guardians is at tight movie civil war is a tight movie like Thunderbolts And took a little bit to get to get it cooking so This is why I think when we can move on rather we I know people love these state of the MCU state of superman movie conversation We can move on the reason why Thunderbolts Thunderbolts is not as good as Winner soldier.
