"Welcome to the Bostics, starring Lauren Bostic and Michael Bostic together.

Summerhouse is all the rage. I mean, it is all over the news. And on this episode, we sat down with Jesse Solomon.

Not only is he a rock star right now when it comes to reality television, he also has a really compelling story that I'm excited to share with you guys.

On this episode, Jesse opens up about navigating his life in the spotlight, overcoming testicular cancer, and he emphasizes the importance of gratitude and mental health. With that, let's welcome Jesse Solomon to the Bostics. So, I am a super fan of Summerhouse. I've watched every single season. I could dissect it like a cadaver on the table. I was saying the game operation that used to play when you were little. I will pull the funny bone out. I love watching the human dynamics of it. I'm obsessed.

It's not just the reality TV that I wanted you on the show for. There's so many different facets of you that I find fascinating, and you just played a concert last night until one time. Well, the show went from about nine to ten, and then I got to meet everybody after for probably almost an hour. And then we packed up all the gear, took the springer man back to the hotel and went to Wafflehouse. And no alcohol. No booze.

And I feel bad because people will buy me shots and stuff, and I'm just like, I just can't take that.

Ever, or like, you're done?

No, I mean, I'm on a show about parting in the Hampton's. When you're doing that, you're taking it easy. Yeah, I just figure it like it's, I've got a lot of work to do, and I want to give it my best, and I'm already having trouble giving my best performance every night with all the travel, singing for an hour at a time. Like, I trained a lot to get to a place where I can sing for an hour at a time.

Well, but it's still like with the flying, the driving, dehydration, like, just like, yeah.

When you go on this show, did you have the strategy of wanting to do music?

No, I've sang my entire life. I went to music school at the University of Miami, and I got, we can talk about my career path and how I got here. But I went into the show thinking, oh, maybe I'll launch like a consumer product at some point. I didn't think I would launch a music career, but it just was like the thing making me happy and what I wanted to do. I'm on a 16, we just added a show in Atlantic City, 17 City tour.

So what number two, what number on the tour was this show last night? It was show number six, and you're just getting into it. After this podcast, I'm so blessed to be here with you, too. Thanks for having me. I'm driving to Dallas, the band is picking me up, and I was showing Dallas tonight.

And are you single on this 17 City tour? My single? Yeah. Okay, so single, no attachments. None.

I have a crush. You have a crush. Yeah.

But here's my thing when guys say you have a crush.

Let me talk to you about this. Talk to you when you say that you have a crush. That could insinuate the crushes in New York or San Diego. Maybe you have 10 crushes, and the crush that's listening thinks they're the crush. This, I'm not saying this for her.

I'm just talking to you guys. You're saying you should have a crush. Yeah, I don't think she's listening. But she's not on the show. No.

No more crushes on the show. I hope this summer, this crush isn't being as reciprocated as I was. So we'll see where it goes.

The guy always ends up falling in love with the girl that doesn't like him back.

Yeah, she's, she's playing the game well. Yep. Unfortunately, I like to play games. You don't like to play games. No, no, no, no, no.

I'm not like I'm going to wait to text back. Like if I like you, you'll know it. And if you like me back, we'll go on dates. And hopefully, it becomes something more than friends. How do you manage going on the show that is like the,

I feel like you guys are like the rock star of Bravo right now. So like you're on the show that's like everyone's watching it. And then you also have your real life and your touring and you say you have a crush. How do you manage balancing all of that? The show is based off of our real lives.

So you just kind of show up and try your best to be yourself with giant cameras in your face. So I would say that's like my main objective is don't do anything. I wouldn't do in real life because I'm on summer house. Obviously, like you're in this microcosm and relationship's happened faster. Friendships get deeper quicker.

You're talking about really vulnerable stuff. So it all kind of spirals quickly. And like that's what creates a good show, I think.

Our show is based off of genuine real friendships.

And it's not just like a show friendship.

I think you can feel if it was fake.

And I think that's why what just happened was like so.

Ground shattering like hurt. Everyone so bad because we had such a good thing going. And for our friends to just like betray our trust really hurt everyone. That's a talk about that whole situation. But does that mean so like can people go back now and continue to do the show?

I'm like I'm in. But I'm not is in. I'm on the outside. I'm watching all this now. And I'm hearing about obviously a hear about all this.

Like can you guys be like, I back to work. Or I think it's going to take time to repair the trust that's been lost.

If possible, it's been tough for me because I'm kind of like friends with everybody.

Obviously like CRN Kyle or the people that deserve the sympathy here not me. But yeah, just like hurt steep when you get lied to by people that you're like really close friends with. When you had the epiphany of realizing that that. Two of your best friends were hooking up behind everyone's back where you was it like. Got punched, how did you feel?

Yeah, I'd been hearing the rumors for a while.

So I wasn't like surprised. But I was kind of like shocked that they would lie to me. Yeah, I was really upsetting. I was trying to explain it to my husband. Yeah.

And I'm like it's like if you and I lived in a house. I love when people tried to explain it. It's like so difficult. But I said if I was he has a best friend named Western. If I was.

That makes things easier. He's with Western. And then the girl that Western used to have sex with and date. Was your best friend? Was my best friend.

Right? Is I explain right? Yeah. I mean, it's like you have two couples. They both break up.

Two people hook up with each other and you've got these like friends that are. That are left in the crosshair crossfire. Yeah. And like everybody's getting hurt for a different reason. Yeah.

Like Western Kyle were friends too. People are forgetting that. Like it was one of his buddies. So. Wait, the guy's name is West.

Yeah. Oh, no. West. West. Oh, that's too much.

Yeah. I'm going to get really fucking confused because I just. Because now I'm thinking about West. But it's West. Just don't just don't get involved.

How do you feel? I'm sure you feel happy about how Sierra has been received by the public. I guess that's a silver lining of this whole situation happening to her. Yeah. Sierra is a really good person.

She cares a lot about her friends. She taught me a lot of like good lessons of things that like you just wouldn't typically think of as a boy. So I'm just like grateful to her and I'm glad that everybody else sees how amazing she is. What's a lesson that she's talking about? Well, I mean, this summer this past summer.

I thought I was doing the right thing by checking with my buddy to see if he would be upset if I pursued his ex. And I didn't realize that that could make her feel objectified. She obviously means way more to me than just like somebody I would want to hook up with.

And so I never meant to make her feel that way and it really hurt me to see how upset she was.

I wish I had spoken to her first. And obviously I was going to have a more serious conversation with her after I had talked to West about it. She taught me a good lesson that like you can't just be cavalier in the way that you go about dating.

Does this stuff get real messy just because you guys are in such close proximity and there's maybe nobody else around?

Is that what happens? You're like in a fish bowl with all these cameras and you're with each other all day long. And so everybody's kind of like, oh well, it kind of reminds me. If you know when you're in school as a kid, you kind of just like date within the school because you're not out. But then this is even more microscopic. Yeah, I think like proximity is like a really big thing.

Like you end up dating the people that you're spending time with, you end up friends with people that are close to you. You follow a part with friends that are in different states over time because like proximity is a big factor in relationships. So yeah, we're like going to the Hamptons and only with each other for 48 hours straight. Like, you know, what's one date? You spend two hours with someone. Like that first weekend in the house, you've already slept under the same roof with all these hours.

Like, it's like, if you hang out with somebody for a full weekend, it's like, what, ten dates? Yep. So when you go back to explain to Michael, so it's so Jesse dated one of the girls in the house. You guys sort of know you.

Lexi.

Jesse.

Lexi long. This is a long time ago. Yeah.

You dated one of the girls in the house.

Here's my question. Would you do it again in the future as that off limits for you?

No, going back to my point about like doing what you would do in real life. Like, this is my real life. So Carson, go get me a whiteboard with a right without a mouth. I need it. How do I explain? It's like, yeah, I would definitely date somebody that I was attracted to on the show.

I would take it way slower. Okay. I just like didn't see. That's another lesson Sarah taught me. She's like slow the fuck down. Yeah. And I didn't see a reason to slow down. I was like, I like this girl. She likes me.

I'm having a great time. You guys were cute too. Why wait? Sweet. Is the crush?

Christine, have a lary.

I mean, that's the whole separate crush.

Yeah, I'm obsessed with her. Oh, okay. So that's a separate crush. Well, I think we're just friends. Okay. Because you guys would be cute. Totally.

I'm just throwing it out there in the ether. Yeah. What do you think, Kristen? Get back to us. Um, show here at this. When all of this comes out.

How is Andy Cohen involved in all of it? Is he texting you guys? Is he waiting for the reunion?

What is his energy on everything that's been going on?

I think Andy feels for us. You know, the reunion was really intense. He actually sent me a nice text after the reunion because he saw like how heard I was. And, you know, he went on and made that video being like I've done 150 reunions. That was like one of the more intense reunions I've ever done.

So yeah, he's just like the facilitator. You know, he does watch what happens. He does the reunion. He's not like entrenched in the friend group. But he sees it all.

I think I'm so sorry for you. This is going to be a fucking ratings juggernaut. Andy Cohen said that that was the most intense. I saw like, I'm not bad under a rock. I did see that part.

reunion. That's that is crazy that he said it was the most intense reunion out of 150 reunions. Yeah, I cried like a handful of times. I was crying all day. I was a mess.

Carl's a mess. I was a mess.

Are you crying because of how this is affected the group's dynamic?

Are you crying because you don't have anyone to talk to about this. It's this is a very specific niche thing that you guys are going through. I was crying because I hadn't taken the time to deal with the emotions and the lying. And I thought that West was going to come to the reunion with something that was going to make people feel better in that we were going to be able to walk out of there.

Not turning the page, but at least having a apologize and being able to move forward and maybe Western Sierra could somehow like take another two year path to being friends again. Or the people the most upset with this guy West or the woman involved or both both. Who is the audience more upset with? I mean, I think they're just pretty disgusted with both of them right now.

Who should I be upset with? I think it's a really hard situation. I think there's a lot of layers to it. I'm pissable. And I think also there's a lot of things that we probably don't see. So I think I don't like to be the judge and juror.

That doesn't work well. I feel like sometimes the public wants to be like judging. And the problem with that is that they don't get to see every single thing. And you could correct me if I'm wrong and be like, no, you've seen everything. But it feels like there's like more.

No, I mean, there's 42 and a half minutes and we're in the house for 48 hours like you don't see everything. And then there's our real lives outside of the house. So I didn't see everything with West and Amanda. And I was probably like around it the most. And so when your friends are telling you that there's nothing going on.

And it's easy to just believe them. Like, okay. Could you not sense like any energy or anything? Yeah, there was like a series of events where I was like, you guys are totally fucking. And they were like, no, West is my boy.

Like, West is like, dude, you'd be the first person I would tell.

And I was like, okay. Are you afraid to go out in public with them right now? Afraid? Maybe Afraid's the wrong word has a tint. As a couple. Yeah, of course. I don't want to. It's just like unnecessary drama in my life.

Like, I have this whole tour plan. I'm releasing music and the stuff all happens and like this becomes the focus. Like, West is supposed to come to my show in Kansas City with this family.

I'm like, I don't, my supposed to tell him not to come.

Like, that's a guy that's been there for me.

He's been a real friend. But then again, like, I don't have patients for people who lie and hook up with exes without a conversation prior. Like, that's happened to me in the past. And so I know how it feels if like one year best friend hooks up with one year exes.

So are people giving you shit thinking that you might have known more than you did?

Yeah. He's picks up fast. I did not tell him that. That's not on the no card. Yeah, that's been a whole thing that I guess I haven't really spoken about. But I kind of just ignore it because I know the truth.

Yeah. But yeah, I'm assuming if you guys were that close and you know how guys are like, guys are like, guys are like, you become boys as someone. So that I would assume that people like all this guy must have known. Yeah.

That's probably.

Yeah, there's less of that now.

And I think as the reunion air is it'll be pretty clear what I knew and didn't know. Amanda apologized to me right away after they released the statement saying, I'm sorry that we dragged you into this. Oh, because she knew you weren't as aware as people were. Yeah, I mean, she knew she knew that she lied to me.

Yeah, West, West didn't pick up on the fact that like I've been getting keep for people thinking that I knew. But it's not a big deal. You know what I see. Can I tell you my dynamic?

Hell yeah. There's a bit of a liaison fairness and a blazeiness from West that is not is what I see the cast in you. Not liking. It feels like instead of him coming and saying, I made a really big mistake.

And I was out of line and I'm sorry.

He, there's a kind of like this like liaison fair blazeness that I think people are like.

It's almost like a beta blocker maybe like it's it's not an acknowledgement of

He's not apologetic. Yeah, there's not accountability. This is what I see. I haven't seen the reunion. Yeah.

Well, he does apologize, but that's kind of like all he does. I mean, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have lied. I know that now you can't believe anything that I say because I lied, but I'm sorry. But he didn't. I mean, Andy even calls him out for it.

Like you see your friends are like torn up about this. So that's the beta block. It's like almost like it's almost like a uh detached. He's detached. And he's been off social media and you know, like KJ read that text.

And he's he's said something similar to me. Like he didn't realize the gravity of the situation because he hasn't been seeing all the negativity online. So yeah, I think I think you're spot on.

But the problem is is like, do you have to see the gravity of the public all

throwing tomatoes to come with your tail between your legs and say, and actually give a real deal to you. It's a good point. So I think the reunion it sounds like. You're stirring the fucking pot, man.

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. I told you I like human dynamics and I like to watch it all. And I think what the cast was wanting at the reunion was some genuine accountability and no ego. Lauren likes to drop a grenade in the middle of the dinner table and walk away and say,

"Oh no, no, I'll just do this thing called prompts. You'll love this." So when we go on vacation, we go with like the same 14 people. And you've got to mix it up. It's kind of like summer house but vacation.

And it sounds like a show. It's kind of a show. It's a show. This is fucking show. But the thing is, is I do the thing called dinner prompts.

And each prompt is like something to like stir it. No, it'll be like whatever friends will be dating a brand new person or something. And they'll be like, "Let's go around the table and talk about your craziest sexual experience." And then you just like get a watch everybody kind of like... When the couples are fry like, it's just like, "That wasn't with me."

You should definitely shouldn't. She doesn't because she wants to be entertained. No, I like, yeah. I just, well this is why like reality television. It's like an outlet.

No, I think that's a great idea. Who wants to just sit through the same dinner with the 14 people every night. No prompts help you go through. Everybody gets to kind of like do a topic like that. Yeah, we do that at summer house.

Yeah, I mean it's fun. So my point is... It's just not filmed for the world to judge me. My thing with the reunion is I think they wanted some closure, some accountability, some no ego. Yeah, you'll have to watch the reunion.

I mean there's three parts. Hopefully you'll see a lot of it. I heard there's three parts. I want to talk about the journey that you've showed separately from summer house, which is a totally different twist.

There is this chocolate bone broth protein powder by Paleo Valley that I am so into. I have put so many of my friends onto it.

It's delicious. Here's what you do.

I use a little bit of milk for my kids and I pour a big scoop. I think it's like 20 grams of protein. In there, I've brought it up and then I add water in ice and they love it.

They think it's such a treat. For my own self, I'll do water at the end of the night. Just to make sure I hit my protein goal and I'll froth it up. Water, again, a little ice, a straw, I'm good to go.

I'm obsessed with this. You've got to try it. So many people love this bone broth protein. It tastes delicious. It doesn't have that like chalky taste

The first emerging essential fatty acid

to be discovered in more than 90 years. It's an incredible scientific breakthrough to support our long-term health and wellness. And you guessed it, healthy aging. Fatty 15, co-founder, doctor, Stephanie Van Watson.

Discovered the benefits of C15 while working with the US Navy to continually improve the health and welfare of older dolphins. I didn't even know the Navy had dolphins, but they do a highly suggest you check out that episode. We did with doctor, Stephanie Van Watson.

It's fascinating. But based on over 100 studies, we now know that C15 strengthens our cells and is a foundational healthy aging nutrient which helps to slow aging at the cellular level. And in fact, when our cells don't have enough C15,

they become fragile and aged faster. And when our cells age, our bodies age too. This is why Lauren and I have been taking fatty 15 for the last few years now. Every single day, we take it multiple times a day.

And it's because we want high C15 levels. As many as one and three people worldwide may have low C15 levels and fragile cells. You do not want this. You want to age gracefully and efficiently.

And here's the other thing. Fatty 15 has three times more cellular benefits than EPA in omega-3s. So it packs a real punch. So check them out.

Fatty 15 was developed to support healthy aging for all from kids, to parents, to grandparents.

it spread to the lymph nodes my stomach. And I had four rounds of chemo

Went bald and the whole thing.

Wow. How old were you? I was 24 the first time.

How do you process that mentally when you're that age?

It's got to be so terrifying. What's going through your mind to get through that period of time? Yeah, I think I felt lucky to have caught it early and the prognosis was really good for somebody in my situation. I went for a check-up.

I went to the doctor in New York. You know, I heard my Jewish mother in the back of my head like, "Oh, get your annual physical." And I went and the doctor said, "I don't think this is anything,

but you should probably go get another test."

I had like a twinge of pain in my nut, but like sometimes not hurt randomly. So it was like, I didn't think anything of it. And I was traveling around for work. And I came back and was like, "Oh, I should get that test."

I get the test and the hospital calls me right away. And they were like, "Come back." And I was like, "I did like a STD panel. I did this test." Whatever.

I was like, "I must have Clamedia." Like my life is over. And I go back to the doctor's office. It was like, "All right, doc."

I've never had Clamedia, I can't believe it.

He's like, "See you have cancer." And we're going to have to probably give you a chemo and radiation and remove one of your testicles. And once we remove the testicle, we'll know like, "What's next for you?" And I was like, "Where's Ashton?"

Am I getting pumped right now? Like, "What is going on?" Because I lived a very blessed life up until that point. And I still am very blessed. But nothing like that had ever happened to me.

It was just like, you know, shocked. And then you always have this voice in the back of your head that's like, "What if you're one of the unlucky ones?" But I had great doctors, a great support system. My family and friends were there for me.

And you just kind of look at it as like this shitty period of your life that you're going to hopefully get through. And you're going to be better for it on the other side. And that's kind of like how I feel now. And obviously a lot of people aren't as lucky as I was.

But I think that's like really the only mentality you can have going into something like that is to try and be positive and do everything you can to fight it, the best you can. What does that do for your perspective on life after going through something like that? Yeah, it's been great.

I would say that like, "I live every day with such joy, just happy to be alive." And that's like, "What my tour is called the happy to be here tour." And I did start to struggle a little bit with my mental health recently because I was kind of losing that gratitude.

And I was like, "What the fuck is wrong with me?" You are so lucky. You have so much you're doing so well. You're getting to do what you love to do. Why are you not as happy as you used to be after you had just beaten cancer?

You're just kind of like this weird guilt for not being as happy as I once was. But I'm really good right now. And I'm loving being on tour and doing music. And I feel great. Like it feels like what I'm supposed to be doing.

But definitely like, there have been some mental battles with like the whole cancer stuff. Yeah, sure. I think that's probably why they call gratitude a practice

because you have to keep, it sounds like you do.

But it just feels like that makes sense that you would feel like that. Because if you don't practice it every day, if you miss a couple of days, that it makes sense that you would struggle with your mental health later on. Yeah.

Yeah, I haven't heard that as much. Well, I mean, I think human beings do a really good job of basically forgetting the progress they make. And they feel like, say that, say you try to climb, I'm just going to use it easy.

You climb the mountain. You get to the top of the mountain. That's what you've been working your whole life for. And then you're there. And as you take a couple steps back and like my life sucks.

But you don't realize that you're still a million steps ahead

of where you originally once were. But that little regression feels like. No, totally. You get so normalized to every step forward that you take that.

That's why people as it relates to success.

And even like financial well-being. They think that one day they're going to reach a certain amount of that. And then it's going to make them happy. They don't realize like it just becomes the normal thing. You just keep going.

Yeah. And then if you say you make a million dollars, if all of a sudden in the next year you make a lot less, you feel like a loser. But it's like, don't forget, you did that.

I'm using an extreme example. But people think that the number is going to solve their happiness.

If you can't be happy and grateful along the way and throughout the process,

it's never going to happen for you.

Yeah. If focused on making a lot of money and you know, I'm starting to make money. But I do think that I'll look back on this period where I'm like, you know, not like super duper wealthy.

I don't have like, I haven't had some exit in the business. Those crazy that I'll look back on this period and be like, that was the most fun I ever had. The best advice I've ever heard about money is that money solves money problems. That's about it.

But like it won't solve in internal issues. It won't solve things with your family. It won't solve the way it will only take care of financial burdens. And some people say, if I get rid of the financial burdens, I'll be happy. But there's all the other baggage and personally in my life,

there's been a diminishing return as you make more and more money. Like there's certain levels where if you can take care of your bills and, you know, not worried about what's going to cost you got to dinner and your groceries. Maybe take an ice vacation. Like that has a real cascading effect.

But after that, like just adding more on top of the pile, you do get a diminishing return. It could be depressing actually. It's I think the journey is like the best part. But I do think that having a family will be a really fulfilling experience

and having money to do that and just like allow your kids to do whatever they want to do. That'll feel good. You're going to be a great dad. I can't wait. Yeah, you're going to be a really, really good dad.

You can tell it. It seems like something you're excited about. Yeah.

That's what's brought us the most joy of everything.

Probably becoming parents. How many? Three? I know. So fun.

That's a lot of kids. No, but you're way, way, way alone. You know the best part about having kids. And I think you'll, you'll, like, as you strike the someone, you'll, like, you get to basically, like, live the best parts of life all over again,

like, through their perspective. Yeah. I didn't touch on the sunrise day camp. Yes, please.

Such an amazing organization.

I mean, the way that the kids are just, like, so happy. And they just, like, feel, like, normal kids and they forget about all their problems. It's a camp for kids who have cancer and their siblings, because oftentimes siblings are, like, the forgotten about child in these situations and don't get the same attention to go to a day camp in Long Island, completely for free.

Cool. And even once there, you know, have beaten their cancer, are allowed to go for until they go to college, whatever they do. And a lot of the counselors, reformer campers, and it's just like a really great family. So I'm just grateful to them for, like, opening up the camp to us and being able to,

to show what they do. It was, like, in a summer filled with so much drama to be able to have that, like, an awesome moment where we could, like, give back and show that was really awesome. You seemed really happy in that episode. Yeah.

I think things like that just put everything into perspective and just, like, what we were talking

about, like, it makes you realize everything that you do have and how much harder it could be. So, you know, I've tried to volunteer whenever I can, as much as I can, like, I've been able to go to a hospital on tour and sing with the kids and talk to the kids. And I'm setting up more of those. So yeah, I think, like, it's amazing that I'm in a place where me showing up and, like,

giving my time is, like, mean something to other people. Like, how cool is that? Super cool. Like, even though these kids might not watch summer house, like, I don't know for some reason, like, they think I'm cool.

Obviously, that's like the, like, I think that will bring you more joy and happiness than any other stuff that we've discussed is being able to, like, build a platform and then have other people be excited about that platform and inspired by it and feel like they're part of something, you know what I mean? Like, like, a pile of money is nice, but, like, that, what you're doing,

will bring you way more joy than that. Yeah. You opened up on the show. You did a five-year cancer free check. Mm-hmm.

Did you decide to open up about that so you could inspire people to also go get a check

or did you just, were you just living your life in those cameras there?

It just so happened that it was my five-year check-up was over that summer.

Um, I've always been pretty open about having cancer,

so it wasn't something I was going to, like, hide from my story on the show. I thought it was going to be, like, a beautiful moment of, like, show up, you know, I'd been through four of 'em with no issue. So there was no reason I thought that year five I would have an issue and then I remember two weeks before the doctor's appointment

and I, like, felt something change on my left nut

My remaining testicle.

And I was, like, oh fuck, did I just, like, set myself up to get cancer again

on an national television? And I started really freaking out. And then I went to the doctor's appointment and he was, like, yeah, so we did the scan. Like, this is what I see, like, what are you talking about?

And he was like, oh, you have two things going on. And I was like, oh my god, like, I'm totally fucked. And then they were just, like, two normal things. One was, like, a calcium buildup. She just crumbled.

One was, like, a blood vessel. They were, like, you're fine. Putting you through the mental, like, yeah. Oh my god. But two, west was there for you the entire time.

Totally.

So that's, like, another dynamic that I think is important to the whole.

Yes, he's been a great friend to me. Like, I know his family. I know that they're all great people.

So it's just, like, a hard thing to grapple with.

I don't want to get eaten alive here on this because I'm, again, like, give me a, like, two does. I'm a novice people. But do these shows in a way the environments create these kinds of situations and even maybe hope for these situations.

So for example, like, Lauren and I would not be good on these because, like, we would, we would just, we would, at this point, we would not, like, do, we would, we would, we would, we have three kids under sex. Like, we just wouldn't bring the craziness that we would have

made when we were in our 20s. Yeah. But I imagine, like, you know, the producers there, the show, the audience. They're, they want things, maybe not this extreme. But they want things like this to happen.

Is there a pressure to kind of almost perform and to how no. No. Okay. I would say that that's a great thing that I didn't know what to expect

when I joined the reality TV show. I don't watch a lot of reality TV. I was like, is this all real? And you show up and summer house, especially, like, they don't say, hey, show up at three o'clock at this restaurant.

Like, you're going to film a scene with this person. Like, we're just in this house for 48 hours. So you really let your guard down. You forget the cameras are there at night for sure. You literally forget.

I mean, like, we go out and get drunk. Come back and we're like eating snacks with our friends. They're like, you forgot. Yeah. Like, you don't, I mean, sometimes you forget forget.

But like, we just turn around and there's like the giant that camera with the guy sitting around. It kind of like, this kind of clocked. They still, like, they have surveillance. Like, farting on the camera.

He must forget. Yeah. Like, I kind of let this huge fart rip on the camera.

You're either too drunk or you're just like, they're just never going to

use this. Like, you're just out with your friends. Like, you're having a night out. Like, you let your guard down. Anyways, all I want to say is that the producers were just as upset

as the public and as our friend group was when this all happened. They, you know, we had a really beautiful thing. You'll see, like, leaving the house the last weekend. We'd never been closer. And I think the thing about our show that people love is like,

we are genuine friends. It's not just like housewives bickering the whole time. It's based off of real friendships. So nobody wants to see the friend group fractured like this. So I would say, like, to this extreme, no, the network's not like,

ratings are up. Like, the ratings were 50% higher than they ever had been before this whole thing happened. So the show was like, doing as great as it had ever done.

So that's why it was like, I said to Wes, I was like, dude.

If you're, if this is happening, please lock it the fuck up. Like, why you don't need to do this. I don't care what anyone says. If somebody in, in the quote unquote, "Viz" that network is tickled to death about what's going on.

The ratings are in the fucking room. Let's say this. The network is different than the producers kind of, right? It's like a different. They're different.

They put the quote unquote executive hat on. Those guys are sitting there on that table. They're like, this is great TV. People are tuned in. That's a podcast.

I don't know. The hell that one of the podcasts is diving into the reality. This is, you know, are we health and wellness? Well, I'm not today. We're not.

Let's get into that. Why was just going to ask you about health and wellness because I see your aura ring. Hell yeah. Tell us what your, let's just use health and wellness tips. So I, I work out every day.

Okay, lift. I eat clean. I lift probably four or five days a week. Okay. I walk a lot.

And every morning, I make like this big hydration drink, like, colostrum and electrolytes and a whole bunch of stuff. Yeah, I try to be healthy. Obviously, I'm like on the road right now on tour.

So like, I'll get some chicken tenders if that's the only thing around.

And like, I drink alcohol. Sparingly, but right now I'm not drinking. And yeah, I'm, I do some weird shit on tour. I have like this nebulizer that like hydrates my vocal cords. I have to be on vocal rest.

I'm talking a lot right now because I'm here with you guys.

All right. What a treat. All right. But typically I'm like. Let's get the whole audience to come and see you on tour.

Let's get 'em out.

So what, what can we expect and I didn't get an invite last night?

That's so fucked up of me. I would have totally been like front row.

Well, this is our first time meeting.

So you guys are invited to everything I do for the rest of time. I love it. We're in. Oh, I can't wait to be on this 15 person trip that we're going to go on. The 15 per album.

Oh, you're ready to be on the trip. Yeah, the trip is really good. It's a good trip mate. Yeah. I can tell right away.

What? I can tell right away. Did I not tell? I said on the call. You.

Let me tell you something. You are, he's very, you're very likable. These trips are, you know, they're catching some people. You got to cast a trip well. Yeah.

You had to be real thoughtful about like, you're going to go on. On the, but the Brockstar show of Bravo. He knows how to cast a trip. I'm sure. But you know, like, sometimes I see people do trips with their friends.

And if it's not casted well, like it could be. I am. He's aware. After this tour, I've got so much going on that I'm going to TerksnKcos. I've never been.

I might just go by myself. You know, I will tell you.

Once you have kids, you are never going to be left alone.

Ever. Like, they will find you.

So I think taking a trip by yourself is like.

Let it rip. This episode is brought to you by Zaisal. I am so allergic to cats. The worst. And I use Zaisal allergy 24 hour.

This collaboration has been years in the making. I have been going to Eden Rock properties for a very long time and I fell in love with the way that they thought about branding. Every single detail, they don't miss anything. It's such an experience. And when I thought about what brand I wanted to collaborate with, Eden Rock immediately came to mind.

So we went down to St. Barts and we sat with their team and we conceptualized what this collaboration would look like. And so it's here. After a year and a half, it is live. The Eden Rock St. Barts Times, Skinning Confidential, Red Ice Roller. It's in their signature red.

It has a gorgeous, like look at this. Ah, silver roller. It's so beautiful. It's very summer, you know. I could see this in an ice bucket while you're on the beach.

Enjoying some rosé or a margarita. Goes right in the ice. And then we also launched Mouth Tate, so it's red too.

You're going to get those red lips, very summer-esque.

And again, it's in the Eden Rock St. Barts branding.

And then we launched facial towels. Everything is limited edition. It's very exclusive. Once it's gone, it's gone.

And these facial towels are plastic free.

They don't have any formal to hide in them. And they're so adorable to throw in your beach bag. I use them to wipe my kids' hands. I use them after an oil cleanse. This collection is so major.

I'm so excited about it. And it's so fun to see this going to confidential come to life in red. You can shop our collaboration at the link in the show notes or on shopsconyconfidential.com. The other day, I had to go to Santa Barbara by myself for this speaking of this thing. And she called me and she's like, oh my God, you're so sad. Do you miss all my cats? Terrible. I was eating oysters and caviar. I was sitting out there.

It was laying there in my underpants with a fire gun. I was like, this is terrible.

I was thinking, I was like, this is probably the first time in six years

and I've just been like by myself channeling. Weird. Sounds nice. It was amazing. You know what though?

Having kids, I'm sure, is like being on reality television. Because, oh. Similar. What? How so?

Because there's a camera in your face, but it's a kid in your face. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

You have to be on setting a good example.

Yes. Yeah, but you're not having the world watch and judge you. Yes. That's true. So where do we go from here?

Are you going back next summer? I don't confirm things until like very last minute. But there's going to be a show of the summer I would imagine. And if there's a show, I think I'll be on it. We need you on it.

Yeah. It's been such a great thing for my life. I've learned a lot about myself. I've made such great friends. It's allowed me to do music.

I mean, the fact that I can hang out with my friends in the Hamptons over the summer and then get to go on tour and make music the rest of the year is like such a fun thing.

What song should we download first?

Guess I'll start having a moment. Yeah. It's all over TikTok. Everybody's singing it. I mean, at my show last night, everybody sings the words.

Yeah. Like what a cool thing. It's so cool. And people come up to me in the meet and greet. And they're like, you inspired me to leave my job and do what I'm passionate about.

And I get so many messages like that. Like people connecting with the lyrics. Give a great voice, man. Thank you. Yeah.

You got it. Like his voice is good. I guess I could sing. I can't sing a fucking note. I could sing.

I could be a backup. Yeah. Well, I wish I had you. So I call people up on stage for my my latest song overrated. You should also check that out.

It's about falling in love with your best friend. No. Sounds like I could have been about you guys. And the singer dropped out last minute.

So I posted on my Instagram.

I was like, can anybody come sing?

And this amazing girl showed up.

And she crushed it. She was so nervous. I felt bad. But she did a good job. But she did a good job.

Yeah. Who's the best friend in film? Could have been me. Oh, I do really mean to me. Like rendition.

I don't say who I write my songs about. Okay, but it is about someone. Yeah. Yeah. I didn't just make it up.

Okay. And right songs about like my real life experiences. So I want to do a TikTok with you. Tell me if you like this idea. Love it.

Okay. So I look into the camera and I say. You guys. My friend Jesse is going to sing you a song. And you're better.

Be nice. You better be nice. Michael doesn't get this.

Because Michael's going to take time.

Yeah. It's a good trend. And then you come and you could do whatever. Yeah. Yeah.

Great. I think that you're fabulous. I think it's so smart that you're diversifying with your tour. And everything that you've got going on. Yeah.

And you have to stay on summer house.

You have to go back on now because I have this weird thing where I like,

I am in and out of these shows. No, no, you're going to be in. No, no. No, no. I'm like in.

So now I'm going to be like, when's it on? And I'm a tune into every fucking episode. All right. Yeah. Well, there's a good season going on right now.

You can start. Yeah. Because I now. I feel personally, like, I feel personally vested. Almost like when you have like your favorite sports team.

Now I'm going to be like, you know, I'm in. I'm in. How can everyone go check out where you're touring? Where can they find you? Where can they say hi if they're single?

Maybe they can drop in a DM. My Instagram. What do those DMs look like? Jesse Sal's. Okay.

My tour is Jesse Salomon Music.com. You can buy tickets. And yeah, I'm performing Dallas tonight. I mean, the shows are like a lot of them are sold out. Nice.

We just sold out Bowery Ballroom. It's like the 550 people and the show's not for like two and a half months. Yeah. It's life is good.

I'm so appreciative of you guys having me.

Who's in your DMs? Is there celebrities? I wouldn't say that like celebrities are just sliding into my DMs. A lot of hotbies. There's just a lot of people.

Man, women, everybody's in there. All different kinds. Yeah. Flattering. It's.

Do you love DMs? Yeah. I mean, you're somebody that I'm interested in. What's the story? You're a part of the story.

Yeah. But I try to get an intro. And I'm off the dating apps at this point. Yeah. I think that's like.

It's just too much. Yeah. Too much. Optionality. Like I need to focus on one person.

That's the key.

He always talks about this on the show.

He's like, when you have too many options. It's overwhelming. Well, no, listen. I mean, I only hear. Well, actually, here, but I know from some minute, but most of my guy friends, they're like,

they get to the point, like what you're saying. They get burnt out. It's like they can't focus and it becomes overwhelming. It becomes kind of messy and stressful. Yeah.

It's just like. It's like a full-time job. I don't think anyone's moving that much off.

I think like it's nice to feel like you have a few options.

But I think that much optionality becomes really confused. Yeah. Like I could go to a bar and there's like, you know, 50 girls there. You can go on your phone and it's like unlimited. No.

So it's, I got to cut off the dating apps. And yeah, try to like talk to one person at a time. It's like a good place to start. Lala Kent said she drops in the DM's like, with this emoji. I thought that was clever.

Well, she's a gorgeous woman. But it out there, she's single. I'm just saying, like, I'm being a guy sliding into girls' DM's. If you go in with a emoji. You can't do that.

Yeah, I can't do that. Fisting emoji. No, it's like, people are going to have to watch YouTube. It's like, uh, I don't. If a guy is sending this emoji.

Yeah. That's just like, it's okay. But I like you that if I was single, that's, I feel like I would go like this. Like, like, chef's kiss. Oh, that's what it is.

Chef's kiss. Yeah. Okay. Do you guys have any advice for me? Just like, aside from dating and life and maybe like wellness, whatever.

Well, I actually do have advice for you. And I was going to give this to you off air, but I felt really cold to tell you this. Okay. And I'll say it on air. I was going to tell you off.

This is really weird. We had this is so random. We had a doctor on the show that talked about. That's just, that's particular. Is that who you say it?

Yes. That's a particular. You learned so much. That's a particular. A lot of testicles.

Yeah. That's particular. And prostate cancer. And he was someone who studied it for years and years. Super smart guy.

Yeah. I'll send you his Instagram. Still does study it. And he said that the number one thing that the prostate and test testing testicular cancer cells don't like is full.

I can't speak so for a thing. How do you say it? I don't know what you're trying to say.

Broccoli sprouts.

Well, they said it could be well. They said that. But they also said like, and this is really hard to do.

But, and it's, there's a million, I mean, there's, you know, there's a million

things that play into this, but stress is a huge. No, wait, wait, wait, the broccoli sprouts though. The broccoli sprouts. Like, you guys give me any advice in the entire world. I'll give you advice.

Broccoli sprouts. Broccoli sprouts.

You should be eating broccoli sprouts every day.

He said, as far as you if you're a man. I mean, you want some of them. I mean, I don't know. Man, you seem like you have it together, right? You've got to kill a two or go on.

You're on a show. You're doing well. You're healthy.

I know I'm going to get better.

You need to eat broccoli sprouts. I had a call with a nutritionist this week and they put together a meal plan for me. But yeah, a lot of whole foods. Not enough sprouts, though. Broccoli sprouts.

I'm going to show. He also has there's a supplement. And it has the broccoli sprouts supplement. I gave it to my dad. My goals on it.

It's really good for men. I don't know why last night I was thinking about interviewing you. I'm like, I feel called to tell you to eat broccoli sprouts. I think like when I think about people in your line of work that do shows publicly.

My only piece of advice is to, like, I think it's really important to keep an intact reputation

that can carry you into whatever your next version of your career is. And I've seen a lot of people like they can in the world of reality. You can burn that down in the wrong way for not careful. You don't drink a job. I don't know what the advice is, but it doesn't need to seem like very thoughtful.

It's like you don't even get canceled. It's more of like, I think people underestimate being well-liked and having a strong reputation and having integrity and, like, I think it's hard to come back from that stuff.

The other stuff you can always recover.

Everybody makes mistakes and you can say something wrong. I think you've done a good job being very sturdy throughout this whole thing. And it's very nuanced and very complicated and complex. And no one will understand unless they're in it. So I think you're doing good.

You're doing great so much. Jesse, and we're coming to a show. We're coming to a show. I like it. I like it.

Yeah. You got to give me the list. I'm sure there's an iconic place.

Justin Bieber just played there, warmed it up for me.

That's really cool, man. Nice. Nice. Nice. I'm releasing another song called Wildfire, towards the end of May.

That's like a big pop anthem. Do you write your song? I do. Yeah. I'm not big enough for people who are like coming to me with songs.

No. I put it out. Yeah. But listen, if you can write your own songs, as you know, like that's where the real. Like write your own songs.

Yeah. I've got like some ideas in my head all day. I just recorded the song in the airplane, then a voice memo. How did you just like whisper to it? Yeah.

I was like, I hope nobody can hear me. But it's actually a really good idea. I'm excited about it. I see big things. I'm excited.

Congratulations. Don't forget about us along the way, man. How could I forget about you guys? Each broccoli sprouts.
