This is trivia for kids, where it's not just for adults anymore. Hello everybody, and welcome to another episode of Troy Fork Kids The Podcast. I'm Casey. I'm Brooks. Brooks, I'm so proud of you for being on here today.

You are kind of under the weather, aren't you? Yeah, you don't feel great. But, see, case and point. You don't feel great. There is so much sickness going around our town and our school and everything.

And so Brooks caught a little bug here.

But you are still willing to do the podcast, weren't you?

That's awesome. Thank you so much for doing that. No, I might cheer you up. Jokes.

Our first joke comes from Henry, who is from Soldatna, Alaska.

Thanks, Henry. And he made this up. What color is the loudest? I don't know. Yellow.

Yellow. Oh. That was the color that could read the most. I don't know. Red.

Our next joke comes from Ariana W, who is six? Thanks, Ariana. What do dogs and cats hang in their closet? I don't know. Codes.

Because they have coats, like they're fur is called their coat. So what are they hearing their closet? Coats. So funny. All right, at our last joke is from Penny, who is eight and from Arizona.

Thanks, Penny. Why do fish live in salt water? I don't know. Because pepper makes them sneeze. So they couldn't live in pepper water.

Or they would just sneeze all the time. So they live in salt water. Thank you for the jokes, everybody. All right, bro. See you, Fiss.

Let's do some trivia. Yay. Here's how the show works. Trivia for kids consists of five rounds with seven questions each. We will announce the answers at the end of each round.

Each new round will have a different category. After the fifth round, we will have the final exam, which will test you on the toughest questions. We have covered in the previous rounds. Everyone ready? Let's get started.

Round one, the category is Minecraft. Question one. What mode lets you fly and have unlimited blocks? Question two.

What happens when you look an enderman in the eyes?

Question three. What mob burns in sunlight? Question four. What rare blue or is used for enchanting? Question five.

What volume has pandas and bamboo? Question six. What block can you bounce on like a trampoline? Question seven. What mob shoots arrows at you?

Parent challenge. What superhero does Jason Mamoa portray in another film franchise?

To the first round, question one.

What mode lets you fly and have unlimited blocks? Creative mode. Creative mode is the answer.

What is the other option for modes for a mom who does not play Minecraft?

You could do adventure or survival.

Adventure, survival, or creative, or the three options, what's the difference between them?

Creative, as you said, is where you don't have any health bar or anything. You just have unlimited resources and you can fly and go underwater without drowning and you won't get attacked by mob. But survival, it's the exact opposite. You have all the things other than unlimited blocks and flying it. But the mob does kill you and you do drown and digs like that. Pretty much hard quorum mode and you're able to switch modes while playing.

If you're on creative and you just made a super cool house and you're like, I want to see if this will last and survive mode. You can just click survival and then the mob will come after you. Yes.

And what was the third one? Creative survival.

Adventure adventure. I'm not sure what that one is though. You only play those two.

Yeah. Question two. What happens when you look in Enderman in the eyes?

A little come after you. Yeah. It attacks you. Question three. What mob burns in sunlight? The ones that you'll see most often are definitely going to be zombies and skeletons. But things like Enderman and Creepers do not die in sunlight. And the zombies and skeletons, if they're wearing some sort of armor, whether that's

Chainmail or diamond armor or gold armor, they will not die. Huh. Well, I had the answer as zombies, so you got it correct. But if you said anything else that runs out in there, you also got it correct. Dude. Thank you for all that information. Welcome.

Question four. What rare blue or is often used for enchanting? Lapis lazul. Lapis lazuli is correct.

I think it's a perfect name. Question five. What biome has pandas and bamboo?

The jungle biome? Jungle is the answer. Question six. What block can you bounce on like a trampoline? Slime. This line block. I would build a whole house out of slime blocks, and then just like go from wall to wall to ceiling to floor to bounce to bounce to bounce.

The thing is, I never really tested this, but there's a slime monster.

So I don't know if that thing like spawns in slime. Oh, man. See, I'm learning so much today. Question seven. What mob shoots arrows at you? Skeleton. Skeletons are correct.

A mess as zombie has a arrow. There's also a possibility. So zombies can also have arrows? Yes, but it's very rare. So the answer for either of those questions, which mob burns up in sunlight, and which mob can shoot arrows at you is both zombies or skeletons?

Okay. Pair at challenge. Jason Mamoa starred in the Minecraft movie. What superhero does Jason Mamoa portray in another film franchise? Duncan and Doom.

He is Duncan and Doom. That's not a superhero. He is. Oh, come in. You came up with a good job. What are your thoughts on Jason Mamoa? I like him. The first time I ever saw those in the Minecraft movie, and then he just started showing up.

No, you just noticed him more often after Minecraft movie. He's a pretty good actor. Round two, the category is Black History. Question one, even though she was extremely sick as a child, and contracted the disease polio,

where doctors told her she would never walk again.

Wilma Rudolph won gold at the 1960 Olympics in Rome in what sport. Question two, besides being a civil rights activist, what was Martin Luther King Jr's job? A medical doctor, a bus driver, or a pastor? Question three, true or false. When the emancipation proclamation was signed in 1865, which freed the slaves in America, all African-American people were allowed to do anything that the white Americans could do.

Question four, what was Harriet Tubman's biblical nickname as she freed the slaves in the underground railroad? Noah, Moses, or Jesus? Question five, Sasha Page was famous for playing what sport that African-Americans weren't allowed to join until 1948?

Question six, singer Ella Fitzgerald is known as the queen of what type of mu...

Jazz, blues, or soul. Question seven, William H. Carney was the first African-American to win the Medal of Honor for being brave and strong.

Give and strong in what war? The Revolutionary War? The Civil War, or World War II?

Parent Challenge, George T. Samson, invented the first automatic appliance that did what that we still use every day. Dried clothes, cooked food, or washed dishes.

And now the round two answers, question one, even though she was extremely sick as a child and contracted the disease polio, where doctors told her she would never walk again.

Will my Rudolph one gold at the 1960 Olympics in Rome in what sport? Long jump, triple jump, any of those the running ones? You're on the right track, the answer is track, oh my goodness. But she didn't jump, so technically you got a wrong. Will my Rudolph refused to accept defeat when her doctor told her she would never walk again after contracting polio, with help of her family, especially her mother who took her to special treatments because she knew her daughter would walk again.

Willma worked extremely hard, and by the time she was 12, she was challenging every boy in her neighborhood at running. When she grew up, willma won gold in the 100 and 200 meter dash, and she was the anchor for the American team that won gold in the 100 meter relay. That is such a great story, that poor little girl. So polio used to be a disease that you could catch back in the day, and it would attack your nervous system, and it led to irreversible paralysis and sometimes even death. So polio was a very scary thing, and willma Rudolph caught polio.

So the doctors were like, she's never going to walk again, and her mom and her family and her were determined that that was not going to be her fate,

and they worked hard, and she won gold medals in track. That's so cool.

And thankfully, in 1955, Dr. Jonas Salk developed a vaccine for it. Question two, besides being a civil rights activist, what was Martin Luther King's job?

A medical doctor, a bus driver, or a pastor? A pastor? He was a pastor. His religious background and theological training provided the foundation for his activism, linking religious ethics with the fight for justice. Question three, true or false. When the emancipation proclamation was signed in 1865, which freed the slaves in America, all African American people were allowed to do anything that the white Americans could do.

False. It is false. Many southern states passed laws that kept the races apart, and African Americans had to go to separate schools, eat in separate restaurants, and stay in separate hotels. They also had to use separate water fountains and trash cans, and sit in the back of buses. This was known as segregation.

Question four, what was Harriet Tubman's biblical nickname as she freed slaves in the underground railroad?

Noah, Moses, or Jesus. She was known as Moses. She got the name from the biblical Moses, who led the Hebrews out of slavery in Egypt.

Tubman made 19 successful trips to Maryland to bring enslaved people to freedom, and she never lost a passenger.

So brave. Oh man, she was the strongest woman. I could not even imagine. Question five, satchel page was famous for playing what sports that African Americans weren't allowed to join until 1948. Tenis. He played baseball. After Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier and was allowed to play major league baseball. Picture satchel page joined the Cleveland Indians at age 42. In 1965 at the age of 59, he pitched three scoreless innings for the Oakland A's.

That would be like me starting major league baseball right now.

But satchel page was so good even though he was 42 and then 59. Oh my goodness. He was a pitcher in the major leagues. That's so cool.

Question six, singer Ella Fitzgerald is known as the queen of what type of music.

Jazz blues or soul. Let me say soul. She's the queen of jazz. Ella Fitzgerald was among the first African American women to win a Grammy award.

Wow. Question seven, William H. Carney was the first African American to win the Medal of Honor for being brave and strong in what war. The Revolutionary War, the Civil War, or World War II. The Civil War, you are correct. During the intense battle of Fort Wagner, William Carney, a member of the 54th Massachusetts Infantry Regiment saw the flag bearer fall. He sees the U.S. flag to prevent it from touching the ground holding it high even as he was severely wounded. Despite his injuries, he pressed forward.

And as the union forces retreated, he crawled back to safety delivering the flag and famously declaring, "Boys, I only did my duty. The old flag never touched the ground."

Oh, that gives me goosebumps. Yeah, it doesn't look cool. I love that story. Parent Challenge George T. Samson invented the first automatic appliance that did what that we still use every day. Dried clothes, cooked food, or washed dishes, washed dishes. George T. Samson was an African American inventor that patented the first automatic closed dryer in 1892, a frame that used heat from the stove to dry clothes more safely and efficiently than previous methods. Thank you George T. Samson. I have clothes in the dryer right now. I have grateful to you for your invention. Yes.

Wish they hung them up for me to them. Yeah, right. Wish you could have made it so that they would get folded and put in the closet after your guests.

Round three, the category is musical artists. Question one, what is Taylor Swift's middle name, Joe, Allison, or Renee?

Question two, which Canadian singer was discovered on YouTube as a teenager and became one of the biggest stars in the world. Question three, which artist is nicknamed Queen B? Question four, which singer was a member of the band One Direction before going solo with hits like watermelon sugar and as it was. Question five, which artist's real name is Stephanie Germanada? Lady Gaga? Pink or Lord. Question six, what famous rapper performed at the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show and has hits like not like us and humble.

Question seven, can you name all three first names of the Jonas Brothers?

Parent Challenge. Dolly Parton is the godmother to which famous female singer.

And the answer is two round number three. My niece Emma is here with us for round three. She's living with us right now. So she's part of trivia for kids all the time.

Hi everyone. Welcome back Emma. Question one, what is Taylor Swift's middle name? Joe, Allison, or Renee, Allison.

You're right.

Drake is Canadian. He is Canadian, but the answer is Justin Bieber. Justin Bieber is Canadian. He sure is. His homemade videos caught the attention of a talent manager and they made him a star.

Question three, which artist is nicknamed Queen B? I feel like I should know this. I don't know. Beyonce is the Queen B. Question four, which singer was a member of the band One Direction before going solo with hits like watermelon sugar and as it was. I'm asking an Italian all-American and British singers, but you listen to this kind of music, so I figured. Yeah, it's, I don't know why I can't think about it, but I know it. Harry Styles. Yes. Harry Styles was part of One Direction with a few other guys, which I really liked One Direction. They were good, but he has made quite a career for himself by himself. Question five, which artist's real name is Stephanie Germanada.

Lady Gaga Pink or Lord. Lady Gaga. Lady Gaga's real name is Stephanie Germanada. She doesn't really look like a Stephanie.

I don't know what she looks like a Lady Gaga, but yeah, I wouldn't have picked Stephanie. Question six, what famous rapper performed at the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show and has hits like not like us and humble. Kendrick Lamar. Love Kendrick Lamar. That is correct. Do you know who is singing at the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show? Bad bunny. Bad bunny. Good job. He is. Do you like bad bunny? Yes. I know he was in happy Gilmore too, and he was very funny. I don't listen to a lot of Kurt Rap and I don't, I don't speak Spanish, so I don't know what he's singing about, but I like the tune of his rap music. Yeah.

I don't know what he's talking about either, but it is, it is legit. Yeah, it is. Question seven, can you name all three first names of the Jonas Brothers?

No, I don't think so. Their names are Kevin, Joe and Nick, the Jonas Brothers, and they have another brother, but he's not part of the Jonas Brothers. His name's Frankie. He's like, Frankie, but he's, he's a Jonas Brothers, too, just not part of the group. Parent Challenge. Dally Parton is the godmother to which famous female singer. I don't even know who that is. Gally Parton is a very famous country singer. She's older now, but she's very kind. She does a lot of great things. She's blunt here.

The answer is Miley Cyrus is the goddaughter of Dally Parton. She's like a country music icon.

Round four, the category is Australia. Question one, true or false. Australia is the most mountainous continent.

Question two, what Australian musical instrument is made from a hollowed out tree trunk?

Obo, did you redo or ferramen? Question three, in Australia, what would you call someone that is your friend? Question four, what is the name of the vast remote region of interior Australia that is also the name of a steakhouse restaurant in America? Question five, the great barrier reef in Australia is the world's largest structure made up of living organisms.

Which US state is the great barrier reef the size of Utah, Indiana or Maine?

Question six, what is the national animal of Australia? Question seven, true or false. Sydney is the capital of Australia.

Parent challenge, what are Australia's earliest settlers known as?

Answer's to round four, good eyed queen. Let's talk about Australia. Let's do it.

Question one, true or false. Australia is the most mountainous continent. Let's say true. It's false. It's actually the flatest continent.

Well, I tried. Question two, what Australian musical instrument is made from a hollowed out tree trunk?

Oh, bow, did you redo or serumen? Did you redo? Oh, bow, did you redo?

You, Jackman? The answer is did you redo.

Researchers believe it could be one of the oldest musical instruments in the world. Oh my goodness, what sound does a did you redo make? No, long thing. Yes, but it goes like, no, it goes like, wow, wow, wow, wow. Kind of like that.

Question three, in Australia, what would you call someone that is your friend?

Your mate? Yes, mate. Good eye, mate. Hello, friend. How's your day, buddy?

Question four, what is the name of the vast remote region of interior Australia that is also the name of a steakhouse restaurant in America? Texas Roadhouse? Outback. Oh my goodness. It sounds like wait. Texas Roadhouse? The outback covers over two thirds of the continent known for its errid red deserts unique wildlife and indigenous history. Question five, the great barrier reef in Australia is the world's largest structure made up of living organisms, which US state is the great barrier reef the size of Utah, Indiana or Maine.

Maine. It is Utah. The reef covers over 80,000 square miles, which is an area the size of Utah.

Utah is not a small state. It's big state. That's a huge reef, huh? Question six, what is the national animal of Australia?

A qualla mate, a kangaroo mate, kangaroo is the national animal of Australia. How did I mess that up? I'm not sure. I figured that was a give me question seven true or false. What did me is the capital of Australia? No, it's not, but I had the big offer house there. It is false. The capital of Australia is Canberra. I feel like Sydney is the most in known city in Australia, but don't be fooled because the capital is Canberra. What are Australia's earliest settlers known as? Australia's? What are they? They are Aboriginal peoples. Scientists believe the Aboriginal peoples traveled to Australia from South East Asia either on boats or maybe land bridges when sea levels were lower than it is now.

What we have learned is that we have a lot to learn about Australia. We should go visit sometime. Yes, I want to go to Australia. So I want to go everywhere, but man Australia, right up there. If only it wasn't like a 24 hour flight to get there, I would still go to round five. The category is space. Question one, what is the name of a huge swarm of stars? Gas dust and dark matter that is held together by gravity, a black hole, a galaxy or a comet. Question two, because the universe is so big, how do scientists measure distance?

Question three, besides Earth, what planet is thought to be the most likely to support life? Question four, the hottest stars in the sky are blue. What color are the coolest stars?

Question five, the North Star Polaris sits in which constellation?

Question six, what is the name of the indentations on the moon?

Question seven, what is the name of the blast that happens when a massive star runs out of fuel and explodes? A supernova, a big bang or a lunar bomb?

Parent challenge, a famous nebula, which is a giant cloud of dust and gas in space, is named after what animals body part? And now the round five answers. Question one, what is the name of a huge swarm of stars? Gas dust and dark matter that is held together by gravity, a black hole, a galaxy or a comet?

The answer is a galaxy. Stars revolve around the center of a galaxy and gravity holds them in orbit. So Earth is part of a galaxy. Do you know which galaxy is part of?

It's the name of a candy bar. It is part of the Milky Way galaxy. How do scientists measure distance? The answer is light years.

Right, a light year is how far light travels in one Earth year. And because the universe is so big, they can't even use like feet or miles for distance. They have to use light years, which is so, so far. Question three, besides Earth, what planet is thought to be the most likely to support life?

The answer is Mars. Don't get your hopes up though. Mars' atmosphere is super thin and made mostly out of carbon dioxide. It can also get down to minus 94 degrees Fahrenheit at night. So what do we need to have to breathe?

So we need oxygen to breathe. And if Mars' atmosphere is made out of carbon dioxide, would we be able to breathe very well on Mars? Nope. Nope. So they're trying to figure out if people could live on Mars, but if they do, it's not going to be an easy life. Question four, the hottest stars in the sky are blue. What color are the coolest stars? Red, you're right, they're red. This is similar to how a metal object glows red, then orange, then yellow white, then blue as it heats up. I don't get it because blue is easy like water and water is pretty cool and red is easy like fire and fire is pretty high. You are totally right. It's kind of the opposite of what you would think. Like when you see on your faucet, red, that means hot and blue means cold, but if it's a star, it's the opposite, the hot stars are the blue ones.

It would be funny if it showed like a blue star and red star. So if you wanted it to be cold, you had to put it by the red.

You'd have to retrain your brain, though, wouldn't you? Yeah. Question five, the North Star Polaris sits in which constellation, the little dipper Orion or Aries, the little dipper. You are right, the little dipper's official name is Ursa Minor or the little bear. And Polaris is the star at the tip of the little dipper's handle. Well, there's a big dipper too. Yeah, that's for me the easiest constellation to find in this guy. The big dipper is very obvious. It looks like a measuring cup and then the little dipper is like a small version of that, but it's hard to find.

Question six, what is the name of the indentations on the moon? I know. They are called craters. The primary indentations on the moon are called craters, which are bull shaped depressions formed by impacts from asteroids, meteoroids and comets.

When you look at the moon, its surface isn't smooth all around.

Those are called craters. And that has come from things that have hit it and then left a gouge in the moon. Question seven, what is the name of the blast that happens when a massive star runs out of fuel and explodes.

A supernova, a big bang or a lunar bomb.

A big bang. The answer is a supernova. So when there's a big star that runs out of gas and blows up, that's called a supernova.

And then that leftover material of the star after the blast is called supernova remnants. That's kind of cool. A very different challenge. A famous nebula, which is a giant cloud of dust and gas in space, is named after what animals body part. Cat, ah, what did you know that? Oh my goodness, it is a cat's eye nebula. Very good. So a nebula is sort of like a, it's just a collection of gas and dust, but it can make beautiful shapes and colors and all kinds of things. And this one looks like a cat's eye pretty sweet.

And now it's time for the final exam.

Now remember, you've heard these questions in the previous rounds, but these were the hardest ones we've had. So use your memory and try to think back to what the answers are.

Question one, William H. Carney was the first African American to win the Medal of Honor for being brave and strong in what war.

The Civil War. Question two, what Australian musical instrument is made from a hollowed out tree trunk. A didgeridoo question three, what is the name of a huge swarm of stars, gas, dust and dark matter that is held together by gravity. Question five, the great barrier reef in Australia is the world's largest structure made up of living organisms, which US state is the great barrier reef.
