(upbeat music) - Two teas in a pod with Teddy Mellonkath and Tamara Judge. (upbeat music) - Hi guys, welcome to another episode of the twad seat. We've got Michelle and Janet coming on.

They're moms, they're friends, and they're from the hottest place in LA. Welcome Michelle and Janet, from the valley to the twad seat. - First things first.

How are you both doing right now, especially with everything that's happened since last season? - Handling it is best as possible.

Like it's always nerve-wracking

when the new season's coming out, but also exciting. So just trying to stay positive about it. And like, oh my God, we have to relive it once again. That's okay, we'll do it. Yeah.

(laughing) - With the valley, season three starting this week, is there anything you can tease us? - What? - I will say the most unexpected thing I noticed about the season

is there were a lot of like injuries, and ambulances, 911 calls. - Yeah. - And we were kind of like joking behind the scene that it was like the valleys anatomy

or like valley 911.

And I think it's also has to do with like

our age group and where we are. Like we're not in our 20s anymore. How has this been happening for us? - Yeah, no, it's like, I broke my footprint clickable. - Yeah.

- Yeah, it's like that's where we're at. So you're gonna see a lot of like the random, I don't know, like medical emergencies. - I think I also think the new friendships and like Lala and Tom coming on,

I think it's a really interesting dynamic to see how much fun we have with them. - Yeah, I was gonna say I've been seeing a lot of you and Lala doing little trick talks together. - You know, we usually go on a cash trip

and her and I were basically roommates.

We shared a room together and we realized how different but similar we are. We travel exactly the same. We're very similar. And so like once we had that click, we really connected.

And she's now one of my closest friends. - They're the hot single moms. - That too. - Well, we're one of the few single people on the show. So, well, I can fill you on that.

(laughing) - I just missed the hot part, but the single part. - No, you're not. - You're not on. You're a melt too.

So Jackson's out this season. Were you guys happy with that decision?

- Yeah, I think it was the right decision.

He needed to step out. I feel like it, you know, he was so much heaviness that he brought last season

and it was just like sometimes hard for us to even watch.

And I feel like with him gone, it allowed Brittany to be lighter and just kind of all of us to not have to walk on eggshells or be worried about what he was gonna do next. So it does feel like it was able to be like

a lighter season without him there. - It was very refreshing. You could tell people just felt at ease to just be with each other. - Mm-hmm.

- Yeah. And he does still try and step us but, you know, in the pool by phone calls and getting involved in that kind of stuff. Or, see, I don't think.

- I feel like he was kind of, he like, vurned his lesson a little bit and like, at least, like, he's act communicating with us. I know he probably still bugs Brittany quite a bit. But at least while we were filming,

I felt like he wasn't trying to like terror us. - Yeah. - It wasn't about him at all. It was just focusing on us, our friendships, and our personal lives.

- Yeah. - Yeah. Do we see Brittany dating at all? - You will see Brittany dating and just sort of her navigating like

that new chapter in her life. - Oh. - And it's cool. - Yeah. - That's pretty good.

So who's the new villain then? Good questions. Probably still me. Let's be honest. - I was gonna say is the villain sitting in the pool.

(laughing)

I'm probably, I'm like, I think we're the villains.

I don't even know. Depends who you are. - Yeah. - Janet, you previously made your Instagram private after a fan reaction.

What was the breaking point for you on that? - Honestly, I just, I felt like things were just really overwhelming for a period of time. And it's something new to navigate.

It's like having strangers on your Instagram for the first time ever. And I really had to, sort of like, I want private and kind of shut everything out. And now I've sort of found the happy medium

of like being able to keep my Instagram public. But then having like controls on, we're like, I don't have notifications on. Like I, you can't just like comment on my page. You can't just DM me, like I'm not as accessible.

'Cause I will read stuff if it shows up in my comments

Or shows up in my DM.

So I'd still like be very careful about like,

all right, I don't need to see everything.

And there's times for also like delete the app for my phone. So even if I'm like, still out there and people can go look at this stuff. Like if I need to break sometimes, I'll just like take it off my phone for a couple days.

- Yeah, that's smart. Especially when everybody's coming at you at once and it's just like, it gets to the point where you then start acting out in a way that isn't even you because it's so bothersome.

- Totally. And when I went private, it was when Jason and I were like on a family vacation. And I was just like, I really want to like be present at mine did.

I want to be like have a good time with my family. I don't want to be like on my phone and you know, taking time away from my son and like we took all this, you know, Jason took time off work.

We spent all this money to get on, you know, to Switzerland and I was like, I'm not gonna be like letting all the stuff that's happening back home like ruined enough family vacation.

So that was also part of it where I was like, I'm just gonna go private. I'm gonna like put everything just off to the side and like only, you know, be present-minded and concentrate on like spending quality time

with my family. - Let's see the chat. (laughs) - It would reach to, if you're, you're bring. - Oh, bring to mind, it's so funny.

Mine's like, it's like, it's like so, you can barely see it. - I know mine's like fall off too. - Jason, I kind of like messed it up in the sense that like we've realized because he has darker skin,

he should have gotten the white and I should have gotten the darker gray. But we weren't really thinking when we were doing it. And I was like, I guess like, I'm white, so I get the white one.

You're like, tie on so you should get the,

yeah, I don't know. But mine's like barely noticeable, but I wasn't the one with the rumors of taking off my ring. So I guess I don't have to have the answer. - So yeah, you don't have to have the instrumental

as a one. - Yeah. Michelle, how do you deal with the haters? - I've gotten a lot better at it. I do, I know if I have a bad week.

I don't read the comments. It's very rare. Maybe I'll read like a couple, but that's it. Like I can put it away and just not focus on that. And I'm honestly so busy.

Like I have my realistic career as my daughter. So it's just like, forget about that stuff. And people will no matter what I do, people will love me, people will hate me. And there's only so much I can do.

- Yeah. - And how much of you and Jesse fighting her is in the mix season? - We were like in the middle of the beginning stages of the nasty divorce.

So obviously it was rough. I think we do a better job, but you know, there's only so much, I focus on myself and my peace and my love. And you know, situations happen.

So you do get to see that, but I think overall we do much better because we are trying to focus on our daughter is about that. - Yeah. - Where's the B guy?

- Honey guy. - Honey guy. - Honey guy. - I don't know. - Yeah, I don't know.

- I don't know. - Honey guy. - We don't talk about him. - No, I don't talk about the B guy. - I didn't realize what he had.

So you will see in the first episode what happened. - Okay. - Okay, I just needed to know. And then you guys also mentioned that Lala and Schwartz are joining.

Are you upset, Sheena wasn't at it?

- You know, I think the reason our show works

is it's like about an authentic group of friends. So like I wish Sheena was a part of it because she is our friend off camera, on camera. But I think she needed a break. I think that, you know, she decided it wasn't the right time

for her, but we'll see what happens. - Yeah. - I mean, I've noticed a lot with Schwartz's Instagram and his podcast. He's like really getting deep.

Is there been a shift in him?

- I feel like Schwartz has always been a little bit woo-woo-woo.

But I feel like he's really putting it out into the world. Like, I feel like, you know, he's kind of been like, he's always like worn moon moves. He's like, I think likes to like, you know, enjoy some psychedelic surgery once in a while.

- Yeah, he's very spiritual. - Yeah. - I've been him and I because it's like we're both divorced and like we believe in that kind of stuff. So it is a kind of fun dynamic.

- Yeah. - Oh, that's fun. (upbeat music) - Speaking of not fun, we should address the accusations that Janet throughout up Michelle's political status

and season one. - God, has there been a recollection there? - You know, I didn't throw that out. That was something that we had a conversation off camera that was not even about politics.

It was like a specific thing that was happening in the news that we discussed privately. There wasn't an issue there.

And so that's something that always upset me

that Kristen heard from like-- - It was a telephone game. - Yeah. - At the end of it, it was completely misscrewed

Like what we actually talked about.

- Yeah, I was like that's not at all what our conversation was. So bird is especially used like the word racist. I was like that had nothing to do with race whatsoever.

So for her to throw that out there, that's why it was so upset

and that was honestly like the beginning of the end of our friendship because I was like, you took something that was so small that like we had already discussed behind closed doors off camera and you threw it on camera in a way that it never was.

So that really upset with upset me and I'm still bombed that she couldn't see it and like apologize for that 'cause throwing out something like that on camera sticks I mean here, years later talking about it

and it's a real bummer because race had nothing to do with what we were talking about and I hate that she threw that on camera

and tried to put words in my mouth that I never said.

- Yeah, I'm going into season three. Can you guys each give us one word to describe each person? - Okay. - First in? - Each person.

- Christian's. - Ooh, postpartum. - I was gonna say like new mom or like struggling but like as we all do. - Yeah.

- Brit me. - Sparkle sparkle for sure. It's all you could think of when you say Britney. - Yeah. - Mold?

- Yeah, multi tasking, bold. - Jasmine. - Fun. - Fire. - Fire?

- So she's not exturing it this season. - Oh, yeah, she's out. (laughing) - Yeah.

I think you're gonna see her stirring up fire come out.

- Okay, Luke. New dad, like, horny. That's a good one, obviously. (laughing) - So he talks about horny.

So it was hard to turn to wait that six weeks. - I guess, I mean, to be honest, it's so funny 'cause when you know when we do the show there's so many conversations and things that are happening other than we don't have to know about.

- We don't see until like the trailer comes out and I'm like, oh, wow, I had no idea that they were dealing with that, but that's pretty funny. Danny. - The same.

- The same? - No. - The words are hard. - I'm not good at games. - Oh my gosh, well, the same.

Like, I mean, he was hard for me to watch last year.

- It's always been difficult for me with him,

but I, yeah, I think he's I see on the same as I always have. - I mean, it's weird because I know I'm in a totally different way. We go to the same church. - Yeah.

- So I've kind of always known to do that and then when I watch and play out on this, I'm like, who is this person? - Yeah. - I've never seen him jump before.

- Really? - No, because I've never been out with him at night. - I'm just in my church. - One of the things that I brought up at the reunion,

I think was actually happening at your house.

- Oh, well, I wasn't there because I was in the middle of a divorce. - Yeah. - It was just Edwin, but yeah, that, you did. That happened at my house.

- Uh-huh. - Yep. That did happen at my house. - Okay, Zack. - Hair.

- What's your relationship with Zack like these days? - You know, it goes through ups and downs, like I wish Zack well, but we're not exactly friends. - Do you think the show changed him? - No, not as two, I think he's been the same,

you know, on and off camera, I think. Yeah, I will say, like, with Zack, like we've gone through some tough stuff and it took me a really long time, but I truly have forgiven him for the pretty horrible things

he said about, you know, me while I was pregnant. - Yeah. - And he apologized and I really like, it took a while, but I really have forgiven him and I'm trying to start fresh. That doesn't mean that we don't have new problems that come up,

but, of course, you know, I wish him well. - And then Michelle, you've talked about embracing your new single life. What is that actually meant for you? - It's really interesting because it's kind of like

learning yourself all over again in your 30s, which is wild to say. It's like, I have been, I was with Jessie for nine years and then I went into another relationship.

So this is the first time in a long time

that I've truly been single, not dating anybody. And so I have to reflect and just grow as a person and I'm kind of enjoying it. - Oh, that's awesome. - Yeah, I'm not.

(laughing) - I mean, you have your hard days, it's not easy. I mean, I certainly, especially the days I don't have Isabella or I don't have a date and I'm just at home, like you can get lonely.

At that time, I'm like, okay, what can I do

to have some fun or whatever? - I'm proud for her 'cause she doesn't, instead of when she's lonely, she like allows herself to be like, she won't, like if she sees a red flag, she's running. Which I'm good, like I hate watching my friends

like go after the same red flag over and over. But I'm like, it's okay to be alone. And like, she like is okay with like sitting and having quiet time by herself and which can we hurt.

- And it was challenging at first,

but now I'm like, okay, this is, this is good. - And how are you meeting all these people? (laughing) - How do you meet them? - Are you on a date?

- A lot of people to be honest, what I go to restaurants, I feel like people don't really approach me. - That's what I miss me. - I mean, yeah, I went to Mexico on a girl trip. This, everybody was like, look at that guy.

She found that guy didn't even know his name and found him on Instagram. She's like, I'm gonna message him for you.

And I'm like, what are you doing there on the ship?

- They were like wedding party happening. So I saw, they had signs up with a bride and grooms name and I was like, all right, if we have the bride and grooms name and we know the hotel they're getting married, I'm sure we can find their info.

And so I found them and then found their tagged pictures of the grooms been, and I was like, all right, here you guys go, here's all the grooms men's in circles. - Like five minutes later, she's like, this is the guy she's got.

- She's a professional. - Yeah, I mean, it's like, it's built in us. - Yeah. - She's like, okay. - Jessie's girlfriend, Lacy joins the cast this season. How do you guys both feel about that?

I mean, I'm so confused because I thought she was so against being on the show. - I would say I'm the same way. - I think my people were very surprised.

I didn't even know the first time she felt like

there was no heads up for me. I didn't even know she was going to the party. It was just like, I turned around and she was there and I was like, oh, we're doing this. Like now, you're going to see Michelle's very real

surprised reaction on camera. - Oh, and what do you think was the change that made that happen?

- I honestly not sure because she was like

very against filming season one and didn't even want us like speaking about her. - Yeah, I thought there was like a season to assist allegedly. - Yeah. - Yeah, no, she didn't want us.

She didn't want anybody talking about her, like mentioning her at all. So then to join, I was surprised to see it.

- So does she still live in Orange County?

- Yep, she's still there. - Oh my gosh. Would you say there are any turning points in your friendship that we didn't see on camera last year? - I feel like you guys have just had ups and downs,

but like Michelle, I feel like in general is such like she can somebody you can sit with or quiet and enjoy it. She somebody who is a very peaceful, like happy person that doesn't have tension

or like argument. - Yeah, I know. I don't like fighting with people in general. Like I find myself to be an easy-going person. So if you really upset me, there's a reason for it. - And it's just so wild before she gets upset and I was saying,

I'm like, oh my god, I get so turned on and I see Michelle fired up like yelling at me. - Yeah, Michelle, she does have that in her.

And I'm like, oh my god, why am I turned on by this?

But like, it takes a while. Like I feel like her baseline is peace and like quiet and just like enjoying and yourself. So like at all when it's rare to see you, like fired up about something and it doesn't seem like you.

- Yeah. - I love that you said you get turned on by it. What do you like from secret lives of Mormon wife? - You've seen how she said that like when Dakota's being an asshole I get turned on, I'm like, oh my god.

- I've only seen the pilot episode in now. I feel like I'm not wanting to get in. - Yeah. - As of all the years and stuff recently. But I've only seen the pilot episode of Mormonwives. I mean, you could probably stop there and just read the news.

But I mean, it is, I'm so deep down that. I would hope as we covered on the show. But thank you guys so much for coming on. I wish we had more time because we're having us so much time for good to see you.

- Good to see you too. - And I'm excited for this time. - Come out. - Yeah, be crazy. - We'll get your thoughts on it another time.

- Yeah, I know afterwards. - Yeah. - Okay, sounds good. - All right. - All right. - Thanks for watching. - Bye.
