I was a very harsh judge this season.
- Oh, as opposed to other seasons?
- I barely remember what you read.
“- I forgot we did kiss of the bass list this year.”
- Are we counting Halloween? - Because that changes every year. - Are we counting Halloween, we're not. - No, that was the special episode. - Okay.
- But kiss of the bass list, God, that was like eight years ago. - Okay, listen, let's that. - Okay, listen. - Okay, let's see. - Let's see.
- We've been drinking for three hours. Like what if we're all hammered? - I have it. - Oh, cute. Best season ever.
- Book of Glitter, your friend. We're in for some boozy book gazzoms today. Join three cousins creating a titillating headspace where steamy romance novels combine with strong cocktails. So sit back, sit slow, and enjoy the ride.
- Hey, all you boozy book lovers, I'm Jen. - I'm Lynn, and I'm Kim. - Welcome to our final show of season four. We are going to call this the boozy afterburn. Also, notice our recap episode.
We recap and reviewed 14 books this season as well as six episodes of He did rivalry. - Oh, God. - But before we dish on everything that is still smoldering long after the final page.
Kim, where are we drinking tonight? - Tonight's cocktail is the plot twist, Paloma.
“And honestly, guys, this might be the most accurate”
representation of this season we could have poured into a glass. It's got some tequila, risotto, reprisotto, mezcal, some fresh lime, grapefruit juice, ginger, habanero, syrup, which sounds very difficult to make, but it is not.
And it's topped with grapefruit soda. So this drink is anything but one note. It comes in smooth, smoky, and then it hits you very sharp. With that habanero and ginger. So it's boiled, it's layered, it's unpredictable,
and just like this season, we don't know what's going to happen. - This is a weird season. - The season of all things. There was a lot of various genres. - So I thought I would start with listing out all the books
we read. We can all give a little yes, no, maybe. - Okay, I'm ready.
- All right, our first book of the season
was passionate brew by Sadira Stone. - No. - Maybe not without liquor. (laughing) - Well, it is a brewery romance.
- Not beer. - Look at it. - You must be hammered. (laughing) - Kiss to the Basilis by Lindsay Strum.
- Yes. - Yes. - Yes. - Beautiful carnage by Carolyn Peckham. - No.
- Yes. - Maybe, but you're in the black bird by Bryn Weaver. - Yes. - Yes. - Audacity by Elity Hart.
- Maybe. - Maybe. - Maybe. - A devious arrangement by just a wilder. - Yes.
- Maybe. - Maybe. - I love that one. (laughing) - Braving the storm by Elia Rose.
- Yes. - Hell yeah. - Maybe. (laughing) - Do you believe me on that?
- No. - No. - Three Swedish mountain men by Lily Gold. - Yes. - Yes.
- No. - It's quick, it's easy, it's fine. - No. - It's fine. - It was fine.
- In the winter. - Okay babe. (laughing) - The scattered bones by Nicole Skorano. - Absolutely not.
- Maybe. - I wouldn't do it. - Never done. (laughing) - Promise me forever by Queen Sadie Concaid.
- Yeah. - Every day other week. - Sadie. - Gotta do it. - Fantasma by Kaylee Smith.
- Maybe. - I'm a yuff on this. - I'm a yuff. - Okay with that. - It was different, I like it different.
- We did a duet just for Lindsay. - Because you have to finish a book. - Not exactly true. - You started, you finished it. - You're welcome.
- Uh-huh. - The devil by Ashley Jade? - Yes. - Yes. - What is that?
- That's not a word. - You need to give me a serene Lindsay. Is that her maybe? - That's a no. - Friendly.
- Not like the first one, not at all.
- It's a no. - It's a niche. - Are you telling our readers not to read the first book? - But maybe to read the second one.
“- You have to read the first book if you want to read the second book.”
- Right, so it's a yes. - It's technically a prequel, which is not really a thing. - So it's not a yes. - Not a no, it's not a yes. - I play the game the way you should, but any who.
- Not really a maybe. - The devil's advocate by Ashley Jade, yes. - Yes. - Maybe. - Ooh.
(laughs) - In the available by Jenna Hartley? - Yes. - No. - Yes.
- Absolutely not. - Every day, read it again. - Yes, if you like your uncle that way, bye. - It was not uncle unrelated. - We're gonna get back to the insistence.
- How do you like brave the storm and not inevitable?
What is happening?
(laughs) - No, no.
- There's a weird season for me.
(laughs)
“- I really depends on what moment in life you're at.”
- It does. - I will group the heat of revelry TV series as one and say would you recommend the series? - Yes, no, maybe. It's a big yes for me.
- The TV show, yeah, definitely I'm here for it. - Yeah, it's a maybe. - Okay, there were some moments, but let's take it for it. - All right, so we have some questions that we're gonna go through tonight.
- First one being which book from this season will live in your brain, rent free. - Ooh, interesting. - To the surprise of nobody. Mine is promised me forever by Sadie Conquade.
I've actually gone back to this book multiple times. I loved this book. - You really love a good Sadie. - I loved Drake and I loved the audio of it. I've enjoyed that one. I like the whole series, actually.
- I'm braving the storm for me. Oh, that's how Sadie went to. - I love that series. - You do. - You hated the truck scene.
I was like, signed me up every day. - I was super torn between braving the storm
and of course, Sadie always lived sprint free.
But the one that really stuck with me was the butcher in the black person. - That was my second.
“- Because of their adventure and how cute they were.”
And it was games to them. I mean, it was murder, but you don't have to get whatever. - Oh, cute. - It was sweet. Yeah, so that one lived sprint free.
- Which book had your favorite spicy scene? - Ooh. - I'm gonna go with kiss of the baseless. There were so many scenes in this book. It's difficult to narrow.
- The one in the stadium. - The 24 hours of sex until her pelvis broke. That's when I'm never gonna forget it. - That was it for you? - That was the one.
- Weird that I also had that one. - No, I was like, hands down. - Kiss of the baseless so many, but braving the storm, I felt had some of the best yearning sex.
- If you were into an incest trope, it was hard.
- Oh, I loved it. - It was an incest. - I loved it. - And there was the yearning was so good. Sometimes I hate a yearning because it's just slower,
but this yearning was so good. It was hotter than the sex. - If it wasn't her uncle, this would have been five stars. - Everyone on this mountain is high. I don't understand how you're okay with inevitable
and not okay with braving the storm. - One to not go once night. - One to pseudo uncle, when it's also a pseudo uncle. - Correct, pseudo uncle. - One's a real uncle and one is a friend.
We will take this therapy session to another day. I am just forward.
“- I think we just answered that one question”
that you had listed, (laughs) which book surprised you the most this season. So for me, this was Butcher and Blackbird. I was so not wanting to read this book because of the cannibalism and then we read it
and it was one of my faves. It was so good. It was so well done and it really surprised me. - I mean, not to pull out a scound. - But inevitable, I was so excited
about the dad's best friend. - It surprised you in the worst way. - It surprised me in the worst way because I didn't realize that he had helped raise her. It threw me way off in the book in the beginning.
So I was very disappointed with that. - You were excited to do the local author. - Nicely, am I still support local author? - I was like to. - And I support her, it was well written.
It was just the trope who was not your cup of tea. - Yeah, I just couldn't do it. - That happens. - Double's advocate was the most surprising. That one had the most twists and turns for me.
- Okay, I've got another question where this will relate where we talk about what surprised you the most about your co-host response and that one is mine for you because I thought you'd like it more.
- I thought you would like it more too. Oh, the double's advocate? - I really should say. - Oh, that's my next question. - All right, everybody shut up.
- Oh, okay. - Oh, well, fuck. - Yeah. - We could have skipped questions, you know. But it's possible you could go from four to seven and come back, but you could just talk.
- Okay. - Okay. - Okay, where are you at? - Did he's like, but it wasn't the next question. Oh, it is an next question.
Excellent. (laughing) - Also, we're hammered. - It is called boozy book, Gazzles. You think they're surprised?
- That's what I told Mariana. She was like, I was drunk and I'm like, we all are, it's fine. - Usually, yeah. - Okay.
- So which book reaction or opinion from your co-host surprised you the most? - Oh, actually, Lindsay. - I was surprised you gave passionate brew 3.5 stars because I was so annoyed with it.
That's fair. (laughing) The kiss of the crime also surprised. - It's not that good. I'm an easy grader, but I was also surprised
at how much you just like the devil do at. - I really struggled with the devil because I just felt like she was being manipulated the whole time. - I'm okay with like a young female main character.
Even if they're vulnerable,
She was just manipulated from day fucking one.
And so it just didn't make the sex sexy
because it just felt like she was being manipulated. Which, yeah, use, which interestingly with five brothers, I was totally fine with that. - Thank you for. - But yeah, she was completely owning her sexuality
and Jenny fucking hated it. But this time, I loved it, and this time, she was not owning her sexuality. She was just being manipulated. It really did just bother me the whole time.
- I read it from a different angle. I wonder if you went back and read it now if you would feel the same way. - Five brothers, you know, that we've like kicked it up a little bit. Yeah, four and a half brothers.
(both laughing) - Penny Douglas wrote five brothers. I've read two books that she's written and hated them both. Credence and five brothers I hated.
I recently read birthday girl and sent it to Lindsay and was like read this at the beach. - I read it, it was good. - It's the first Penny D book that I've liked.
“And I think it is because I've becoming a little decent as hell.”
- Oh, you're becoming a bit of a book war, yeah. (both laughing) - Good, welcome, you're in year four. (both laughing) - You're in the work war.
- Welcome, the nice thing is like
it's not always a billionaire romance.
Her romance is a little more like, they're a little grittier. - Yeah, grittier, yeah. - Shop backs, yeah. - I have a hard time with an 18 year old
sleeping her way around the house and ending up at the 35 year old. - I should sleep with all of them. I would like to say the one that surprised me the most was how an emerald, both of you were with scattered bones
and this woman dragging the body of her dead husband around dropping it off at the Amazon Lockers. - I wasn't that enamored with this. We were basically the same reading. - Did he give it like a floor?
- I did give it a floor. - It was terrible. - And here's why. Because I feel like it was because the horse made it to every place she was going because a torso is not that heavy.
- Yeah. - I felt like it was different. - Oh, it was different. - It was different. - Actually, definitely different.
- I will give it that.
“- There's a future question asking if you would change”
a rating and that one is my answer. - Lower, yeah. - You would go lower. - You would just ask me now. (laughing)
- Oh, let's see. - You can be come out of order with a fine. - I know. (laughing) - Let's jump around questions tonight.
- Jump around. - All right. - Jump around. (laughing) - This is the book where I would change my rating.
- Scatter bone. - Because after I'm marinated on it, a little bit, I don't think it's a four. - No shit. What do you think it is?
- I was still given it three. - We all gave it three. - We gave it a three. - Yeah. - I would go back and change mine to a two.
- You would lower it two? - I might. - Yeah, there's a couple of them. I might. I had a rough season.
- I might lower stuff. - We didn't have a lot of bangers. - I mean, we had a lot of banging. - Not a lot of bangers. - Yeah.
- Yeah. - Would you change a rating one? - No, I feel pretty good about my ratings for the year. - Even passionate brew, which you rated 3.5. - Yeah, that seems like you might have been drunk that day.
- I was definitely drunk. - I was really such a shock. - Yeah. Why have I said so high? - Even actually looking back on passionate brew,
I remember, but I remember it. You know how like we do these seasons, and it's like, what was that about again? - I remember the whole harm lock trope, 'cause it was 80 pages.
- It stuck with me. - Like he used to. - Like he used to. - That he used to really stick with you. - Rising to the top.
I'm not judging. - I don't want a forest push. - It feels like a forest push, Kim. So you felt very strongly about it. - It was a hallmark romance.
- She and you said that on the episode. - I'm a good. - It feels like a hallmark that I like. - She's a hallmark romance. I like that.
“- That's how I started my trashy romance journey.”
- Which book couple had the best chemistry this season? - And which couple had the worst? - Sloan and Rowan for Butcher and Blackbird were my favorite couple.
I thought they had incredible chemistry.
They were so adorable. I'd love their banter. I thought they were so hot together. The worst was Lilo and Ryan from Passionate Brew. Sorry, Lindsay.
- I know. - I love that book, bud. - Lilo and Stitch, yeah. - I loved the passion between our characters and bringing the storm.
- I know, I keep going back to that, but I loved the yearning. - Breyer and stormed. - And I just, I just really loved their chemistry. I thought it was really sexy.
- They did have a chemistry if I wasn't insusted it would've been hotter. - Oh God. - Kim wanted to do things. - I was between Butcher and Blackbird.
- Oh, they were so hot. - Because of the banter. But I also really liked Drake and Amelia from Promise Me Forever. I thought they were super funny and cute
and just really bantered well. I also hated Lilo and I hate to tell you guys I hated this Swedish mountain man. - Really? - I did not think they had good chemistry at all.
- Oh, her with all the men. - Yeah. - I could see where you're saying. - We were all kind of shmuck on that book. - It was first.
- To say it was forced with every one of them.
- Yeah.
- I can see that. - I didn't love the guy who was holding off.
- There's always one in reverse her,
although they have to. - Cole. - It was Eli Cole and ribbon. - Cole, yeah. - It felt forced that he was holding off for so long.
- You liked that one less than Pashtag Burr? - I liked that one less than Pashtag Burr. - Yeah. - Interest I did not. - What was your favorite and least favorite female
“main character and main male character of the season?”
- Least favorite female is a tie between Daisy and Lilo, Pashtag Burr and Swedish mountain men. - Okay. - Favorite? - I really, really liked Amelia.
- Loved her. - And I actually liked Athena from Audacity. - Oh, she's on my least favorite list. - I know. You didn't like her from the get-go.
- I liked her. - Okay. I thought anything she had any personality. - I liked the confidence. - Meils?
- Oh, who doesn't love Storm? - I love Storm and I also loved Rowan. - I loved Rowan. - He was so cute. - He's on the list too.
- So cute. - And Drake, Drake. - Oh, yeah. - You guys didn't love Drake. - I'm surprised you said.
- It took a minute, but I liked him at the end. - My favorite females were Sloan from Butcher and Blackbird. And I had a tie for my least favorite.
“Tam from Kiss of the Baselis was really insufferable”
and she stood out as a least favorite and then Athena from Audacity. So like my least was one of your most. - That's okay. - My favorite male was Rowan from Butcher.
And my least favorite by a very long shot, very, very least favorite, Racco Romero from Beautiful Kindest. - Oh, he was so awful. - He was the worst. - He was so awful.
I had forgotten. - I really remember that book. - That should tell you something. - He was not hot at all, not even a little. Okay, man.
- My least favorite woman was from the Devil's Eden. I felt for her empathy for her, but as like a female main character, I could not relate to her. She was obviously manipulated.
I did not like that. - She was bad though. She wasn't even a good man. - There wasn't a lot of development there. - Yeah, there's a little depth to her.
- Until the end.
- Yeah, until she finally grew some balls,
but like at the, in the last 25 pages or something, like that was so annoying. One of my favorite, I really actually did like the female main character from inevitable.
- Sumner. - I liked the fact that she knew who she was. She 100% gave him a run for his money. She didn't let him manipulate her. When he lied to her, she left.
It was like, fuck you, too. And then he chased her. And I liked that. - Sumner, I liked her, too. - I did not.
- Okay, well. - I at least favorite male character were both of the male characters from the Devil's Damien and Kane. They were both fucking off. - They were horrific human beings.
So I'm gonna have to agree with them. - I created both of them. - More than Rocco. - More than Rocco, because Rocco was just an idiot. Those guys were manipulative bastards.
And the Rocco was just an idiot. - He was a dipshit jackass. - You can forgive a hot idiot. You cannot forgive a manipulative bastard. My favorite was storm.
Got to do it. - Ah, hot, hot. - You're earning every guy on that mountain. - Oh, good. - So hot.
- Who's your uncle? - Not him. - Ah, so good. - Bein' a dead horse with the lady. - No, right.
- I'm gonna come in this battle. - You will not. - Nope, we'll get you off on you, for sure.
“- What was your favorite episode of the season and why?”
So this does not always marry up with your favorite book.
I wanna give a shout out to all of our guests because-- - Yes. - It's always a good episode when we have a guest on. We have Preven, we have Zach, we had Amy, we have Miranda, they were so fine.
So I can't pick one of those because I can't pick one of your babies. But Preven kind of deserves a special shout out because-- - Oh, I'm not gonna pick one, but. - However, you didn't read a book and just showed up during a very busy time here's a pretty--
- But anyway, my non-guest episode would have to be the double-do-at episodes. I was drunk as fuck during those episodes. - And normally I don't like that. But I felt like the content was really good.
- It really needed that extra boozy. We were also exhausted and I don't think what the listeners realized as we're traveling all the time. Half the time we're doing these podcasts from hotel rooms we're like bringing our mics and our headphones along.
That was a situation where I was doing that. We were tired. - We made it happen. - We really enjoyed the episode. I like it a lot.
- That's just cute. - I know. - All right, cool. - Land right to God. - I was actually gonna say what my favorite was.
He did rivalry because we did have Miranda on. She was such a super fan of the book, the series.
- Her energy was amazing.
- Her energy was amazing.
She came in already loving it. So maybe that was part of it.
“Where our other guests were reading alongside us.”
But she came in with so much passion, so much energy. It was really fun to listen to her take on everything. And our fans will not hear 75% of what we taped because we have to get these down. - Absolutely not.
I do want the fans to know. We pair down six hours of content to get you to episodes. - You're welcome. - Kim, you haven't heard it yet. At the end of the second episode, Kim goes,
wow, that was really my Miranda goes, I'm sorry. (laughing) - She was just so passionate about the material. - And you guys don't even know. She talked another 20 minutes and we were like,
we gotta go adorable. - She wanted to tell us everything. And she knew all of the backstory and what the director was thinking. And she knew things about the actors.
She came in merch. She showed up to a podcast. - We didn't mean to work about that. - From the show. - It was really fucking adorable.
- I have to get a shout out to Miranda who really brought a lot of energy to that episode and I really loved it. And I know you said we can't fake favors, but the passion brew with preven was so fun for me.
- So fun. - I have to tell our fans of stories. So this is Jen's friend. And she said, don't you wanna do this? We have a brewery romance.
And he was like, sure, I'm up for anything. I'm then she gave him the book and he started reading it and was like, what the hell did you get me into? - He had no idea what he had signed himself up for.
- This man's wife has a pastor. - I was gonna say, can we say that?
“- He was like, you are sick, what are you doing to me?”
And I was like, Evan, have you not listened to the pun? - No, apparently not. - Oh, Joe. - He committed. He read this romance book about breweries.
He taped it live. - He was so fun. And he really popped in with like, yeah, that's totally true about breweries. Like, he gave us like an insider's perspective
about what we're talking about. - Holy! - I really like, which I really, really enjoyed. So both of my favorites were with our specials. - I have to say, I love having guys on the podcast.
- Zack too. - It is really fun. - It's a nice little balance.
- My favorites are always because we started this
as three cousins. So anytime we can have any of our other cousins on, it just gives me joy. For instance, Miranda came on. She was so passionate.
Zack came on and I don't know if we mentioned this or not, but he's actually the intro and outro of our podcast. That's his voice. So it's just so interesting to me when we get their perspective. And they're also a younger generation.
- They're like mid 20s. - We call them second gen in our family. - They don't like it. - They don't like that, but we don't care. - They don't like it.
- They don't like it. We don't care. - I don't know that. - And we're actually not first gen. We're second gen, but we're just--
- They're actually third gen. (laughing) - We don't talk about that. - But I would say one of my absolute favorite episodes believe it or not was scattered, please.
- Because if you go back and listen, it's hilarious to me how many ways that we figure out how she's getting all of the bones to every obstacle. - Really, wait, how-- - Okay, so Emma's on the marker.
- Like, is it a luggage? Do you think she has like a bag? - I don't even know that we can't trade up the book as much as we were just really pumped on the fact she's carrying around a fucking torso,
climbing a mountain. I also actually, as many times as we listened and taped the cursed episode inevitable, but I think our lesser should know. - It was great.
We taped the episode, we actually taped it three times because I did tape Lindsay the third time. - Both times I was hammered. Both times I drank the same drink, thinking, I don't wanna screw it up and both times I was hammered.
- Ah, and both times you were amazing.
- Yeah, you were amazing. - Let me say that. - Thank you. - This was really hard because we-- so we taped the entire episode
and lost Jenny's audio in the last second. We lost everything, her computer crashed. The second time we taped it, we lost the last half hour of my audio and then I came back and taped like the last 10 minutes.
- If you go back and listen, Lindsay doesn't say much for the last 10 minutes. - Jenny's like, every one of us are important. Except for when your audio goes out. - When your audio goes out, then I don't give a fuck
what you're just saying. - I don't need anything about you. Just if you're just running out of paper in for the ratings and you didn't waste. (laughing)
- That was a crispest episode. I thought we'd have to tape it through time. - Kim, I was like, I have to save this audio because it's so funny. And then we had such a fun time.
- We had fun every time we slept. - I love when we can debate about the opinions of the book. - We'd have not talked about heat of rivalry. - It's not apples to apples because it's a TV show. - I wasn't as invested.
“- I think when I read or listened to these,”
I'm more in it. If it's on TV, I'm watching it, but I'm also maybe on my phone.
- Maybe I'm, do you think it's 'cause it was gay romance?
No, because the devil's advocate had that in there and I thought it was hot. There were some moments in there. I was like, holy shit. - I did really like the heat rivalry romance.
- It was really good. It's just hard because we didn't read the book. - And I liked teated rivalry. I'm not saying I didn't like it. It just wasn't the same for me.
- I read one of the books. - You struggled. - It was not a great book. I would have given it a three for sure.
“- Honestly, I felt like even the TV show,”
I was kind of a threeish on it. - Oh, I loved the way he did the show. I didn't love the book. The show was better. - I loved their romance.
It did feel a little bit like when we have a book that just strings sexing together, like how I felt. There are a relationship is really hot, but there wasn't really a plot. - But towards the end, it was like,
oh, I loved their cute ending. - Miranda's insight helped you appreciate it. - I think that's why I gave it a form. I think I do that a lot on this podcast too, we're like, I'll read a book
that they'll hear y'all's perspectives and I'll change my mind about things. I think hearing her perspective definitely helped. - I wanted to go back and watch it again having had her in sight.
- Well, there was a lot of very intentional moments. - Heaven. - Going back, we might notice those more. - Oh, I went for a sure, because she called out so many things.
- And you're like, oh, little Easter eggs. - Yeah. - I don't rate it till the end. - I don't know if I would have read his high without all of her enthusiasm.
- All right, so I wanted to ask about audio books. We kind of go back and forth between pages and then audio. There were a couple of books this season that I wanted to call out how good the audio was. One specifically, the Devil Dewat series Teddy Hamilton
was the reader and he is incredible on audio. He did lights out. - I thought it was good.
“He read Damian and actually, I think that's why I”
looked at book a little bit better because Teddy Hamilton is so talented. - And then if I'm looking back on audio, I wouldn't recommend. - Beautiful carnage.
- Beautiful carnage and three Swedish mountain men. I would read that book directly. - Okay, I bet it's all I hear in my head. Every time I think that's like, okay, I read.
I always read, but there were a couple here
that I listened to on the Kindle Whispersink where the Kindle would read it to you, but it was just like the AI voice. So I have no opinion. - Oh, oh, that's not great.
- Braiding to storm was awesome, so good. And I actually really liked promised me forever, audible. - I will turn that on to go to sleep at night, like promised me forever as on my repeat.
It is literally my well-a-bye. - Well, okay, so for Sadie King Kade so far, is this your favorite Sadie King Kade? - 'Cause you've liked others too. - You guys rebounded was so good.
- Perfect fit was really good. - I honestly don't, I might be my all-time favorite. - I thought it might be. - Oh, don't, there's a pretty small pot. And then the run, so...
- I just ordered, it's called the auction. So it's showing up tomorrow, I pre-ordered. - Is it Sadie? - Ooh. - Yeah, Sadie has a book coming out.
I got like the special edition.
I've never done this in my life.
- I'm usually like whatever. - Yeah, your book shops getting pretty full back there. - Sadie's stuff is usually unlimited. So I'm like, you know, why would I buy it? But then I saw this and I was like, holy shit.
- She's amazing. - I need this in my hand. - That's your inner rut, you got to buy it for me. - I'm not even in a rut, I just want it. I want it to be mine.
- I want to hold a rut. I can't wait for the season instant gratification. I need another season of good books. I have series to finish. - Yeah.
- I've still got that forage and blood series that I have to finish, braving the storm. Kissed the basilons. - No, we're gonna just, we're gonna do that season five. - Do you think we should have Joey and Lorenzo
and all of those? - Well, Lorenzo is so fucking hot. - Oh, I should read this. - Oh, I should read it. - Oh, I should read it.
- I finished Lorenzo. - I am on a wolf shifter romance series at the moment. All of you guys know if it's any good. It's a little light on the sex, but it's still in a for me at the moment.
- Do you care to share the name of the series? - No, not yet.
- No, I have to finish it first.
- I'll skip this if it's worth it. - I'll let you know. - I let you know. - Well, beyond the edge of our seats. - Yeah, I also wanna finish the Mickey Sloan.
- Oh yeah. - That was supposed to be in the season. - Yeah, the kiss of the basilise. Like, there's a whole bunch of a fan-tasma. - Oh yeah, the next one.
- I feel like Lindsay over here, Jones and just check the box. I wanna be done with the whole series. - The thing about fan-tasma is that book ended. You could read the next one,
“but you don't feel like you have to read the next one.”
- I feel like I have to, 'cause it's sitting right next to me. - I feel like you bought it. (laughing) - That's exactly what we did all for the series.
- Same purchases, them.
- I have a library, a trophy.
I keep it new.
“- They all have cards in them with ratings”
and when I read them. - No, that's cool.
- I've been devouring Colleen Hoover books lately.
I just finished ugly love. - Oh, I am. - Yeah, that's it. - It ends with us. - I know I'm late to the party, but--
- You are so loose. - Oh, shit. - This book is good. - It's so fun. - So good.
- I just finished Christina Lawrence book called Love Another Words,
which stabbed me in the heart. - I love her. - Older by Jennifer Hartman has been on my list for a very long time, and that is next up on my TBR. Like, I cannot wait to read it.
It's like a friend's dad. - Oh, like an uncle? - No. - Friend's dad. - No, that's different.
