Welcome to our daily Rosary Meditation.

friendship with Jesus and the Commandments. Let's begin in the name of the Father in the Son in the Holy Spirit. Amen. Let's call to mind all those we've promised

to pray for. I believe in God the Father Almighty, creator of Heaven and Earth. I

believe in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate

was crucified died and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day

he rose again. He ascended into Heaven and he seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins. There is a reaction of the body in life everlasting. Amen. Our Father, who art in Heaven, howl it would be your name. I kingdom come. I will be done on Earth as it is

in Heaven. Give us a stare, daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us

from evil. Amen. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with the blessed art

album. Amen. Blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us and who is now in the hour of our death. Amen. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with the blessed art. Amen. Amen. Blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us and earth is now in the hour of our death. Amen. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with the blessed art

album. Amen. Blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us and earth is now in the hour of our death. Amen. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning and

now in the Vershopi world without end. Amen. Our first mystery. In our last

meditation we saw something very important. You don't sacrifice for abstract

ideas. You sacrifice for a person you love and the same is true of how we live. Morality is not just about rules. It's about a relationship. Because God is not an idea. God is a person. Scripture tells us God is love. Now here's the key. If God is love and you are made in His image, then you are made for love. And the commandments, they are not arbitrary rules imposed from the outside. They are the

expression of who God is. Love and who you are made to be. Also love. So what happens when we break a commandment? We tend to think, I broke a rule. But that's not what's really happening. What's really happening is this. God offers himself. Love in person. And I say, no. I choose something instead of you. Sin is not just disobedience. It's a personal rejection. Not rejection of a rule but

rejection of a relationship. Rejection of Jesus who is love. And that's why

sin wounds us. Because every time we choose against love, we choose against who God is and who we are made to be. So in this series on the commandments, we're not going to just study rules. We are going to discover who God is as love and who we are made to be in His image. And how each commandment is the path into real friendship with Jesus. Because this is the truth. The commandments are not

restrictions. They are the shape of love. And if you see that, I mean, really see that, then everything changes. And you don't ask, what can I get away with? You begin to ask, how can I love Him back? Or Father Wharton Heaven, hollowed be your name. By kingdom come, by will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us a stare, daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who

trespass against us and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil Amen. You're very full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed are Thou among women

Blessed is a fruit of thy womb Jesus.

and earns now in at the hour of our death. Amen. You're very full of grace. The Lord is

Mary, Mother of God, pray for us and earns now in at the hour of our death. Amen. You're very full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed are Thou among women. Blessed is a fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us and earn us now in at the hour of our death. Amen. You're very full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed are Thou among women. Blessed is a fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy

Mary, Mother of God, pray for us and earns now in at the hour of our death. Amen. You're very full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed are Thou among women. Blessed is a fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us and earns now in

at the hour of our death. Amen. You're very full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed

are Thou among women. Blessed is a fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us and earns now in at the hour of our death. Amen. You're very full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed are Thou among women. Blessed is a fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us and earns now in at the hour of our death. Amen. You're very full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed are Thou among women. Blessed is

a fruit of thy womb Jesus. Blessed is a fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother

of God, pray for us and earns now in at the hour of our death. Amen. You're very full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed are Thou among women. Blessed is a fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us and earns now in at the hour of our death. Amen. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning is now in reverse shall be world without end amen. Oh, my Jesus. For give us our sins,

save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to have an especially those most in need of thy mercy. Our second mystery. The first commandment is, I am the Lord your God. You shall have no other gods before me. What does the word God mean? Very simply, it means the supreme most important thing there is. Now, if there is a God and there is, then that

means we know what the most important thing is. So the first commandment tells us to recognize

God as God and act like God is God and not act like anything else is God. In other words, the first commandment just wants us to act rationally. It just instructs us to align our actions and our words with reality because if God is the most important thing there is, but you don't talk that way or act that way, then your words and your actions are

disaligned with reality. Your whole life is off-kilter. You're disconnected from the way

things are. So the first commandment just wants us to be integrated to make sure our beliefs and our actions and our words all match. We believe in God. So we should worship Him, acknowledge

His magnificence and His infinite goodness. We believe in God. So we should put Him first

in everything. Love Him with our whole heart and mind and strength. That's just being consistent. Anything less than that means we don't really take the first commandment seriously. Our Father Wharton heaven, hollowed be your name by kingdom come by will be down on earth as it is in heaven. Give us a stay our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation, but deliver

us from evil amen. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee blessed our Thalm among women blessed is a fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us in our ensnown at the hour of our death amen. Glory be to the father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning as now and for shall be, world without end amen. Oh, my Jesus. For give us our sins, save us from the fires of hell,

lead all souls to have an especially those most in need of thy mercy. Our third mystery,

Saint Charles, Dave, were called, who was canonized in 2022, was a man who started out in life with a mixture of hedonistic pleasure, adventure, and cultural achievement. But all that changed when he realized that the Catholic faith was true. The way he put it was this, the moment I realized God existed, I knew I could not do otherwise, then to live for him alone. Now, there is a logical man. There is a man who thinks through and

lives out the implications of Saint, the Lord is God. Once you realize that the most important

thing in chess is to checkmate your enemy's king before he checkmate yours. You organize all your moves with that goal in mind. If someone were to prioritize something else ahead of that goal,

it would mean he was playing the game irrationally. And once you realize that the most important

thing in reality is the Lord, the only God of heaven and earth, you organize your whole life with that goal in mind. If someone were to prioritize something else ahead of that goal, it would mean he was living life irrationally. Again, all the first commandment asks us to do is to behave rationally. If God is God, if God is the most important thing there is, then act like it. Our Father, who art in heaven, hell it would be your name.

That kingdom come, I will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us a stare daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil Imen. Your Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with the blessed, our Thou among women blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. mother of God, pray for us in our ensignown at the hour of our death Amen. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, as now to Versailles be, world without end Amen. Oh, my Jesus. Forgive us, our sins, save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to have, and especially those most in need of thy mercy. Our fourth mystery. We've said that the first commandment requires that we acknowledge God's primacy in our speech

and that we treat God as the most important thing there is in our actions.

But we can't keep God first in our words and our actions unless we keep him first in our thoughts. We won't remember to make him a priority in speech or behavior unless we actually set aside time to remember him and setting aside time to raise our thoughts to God is what we mean by prayer. Unless we dedicate time to a conversation with the Lord and thinking about the Lord every day,

he will never be the most important thing in our lives. We will not be able to follow the first

commandment. Let alone the other nine unless we are willing to dedicate time every day, simply to focus our mind and our will and our desires on the Lord our God in prayer. Our Father, who art in heaven, hallow would be your name. That kingdom come by will be

done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us a stay our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses.

As we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil amen. Our Mary full of grace. The Lord is with thee blessed our thumb on women blessed. It is a fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us and our is now in the hour of our death amen. Our Mary full of grace. and our is now in the hour of our death amen. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the

Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning as now in the first shall be, world without end amen.

All my Jesus. For you, Vissarsans, save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to have an especially those most in need of that mercy. Our fifth mystery. So the first commandment is not just giving you a rule to follow. It's revealing a relationship. I am the Lord your God. You shall have no other gods before me. God is saying, I am the one who loves you. I am the one who made you.

I am the one who gives myself to you. Don't choose something instead of me because that's what

sin is. God offers himself love in person. And we say, no, I choose something instead of you. Every time we put something before God, our work, our comfort, our success, our control, we're not just breaking a rule. We're choosing something less, so far less instead of the one who's

infinitely good. And that's why it never satisfies. Because you were not made for those things.

You were made for friendship with him. So the first commandment is not a restriction. It's an invitation. An invitation to the deepest, most profound, most satisfying friendship imaginable. And when you choose that, above everything else, then you're going to find the piece

and the happiness and the fulfillment, you can find nowhere else. So what should be our resolution?

It all flows from prayer. Let's make our daily rosary our this time for friendship with Jesus,

a priority. And if that's an easy habit for you, then that means that Jesus, your friend,

is inviting you to more time with him to go a little bit deeper. Take that invitation, spend more time with him, reading scripture, we're going to adoration or to an extra daily mass a week. It's all about friendship, the only friendship that truly satisfies. Our father, who art in heaven, hello, would be your name. That kingdom come by will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us a stare, daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses,

as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us for me, will I, man? Your Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women, blessed is a fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us, and earn us now in the hour of our death, amen. Your Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou, among women, blessed is a fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us,

and earn us now in the hour of our death, amen. Your Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou, among women, blessed is a fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Your Lord, be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, as now in the hour of our shall be, world without end, amen. Oh, my Jesus. For give us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to have

an especially those most in need of thy mercy. Say, Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle,

be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God, rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, will Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God, cast into hell, Satan, and all the evil spirits who proud throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls. In the name of the Father, in the Son of the Holy Spirit, amen. Theresa, before we jump into our conversation, you know, we just came off

this series on St. Fuston and Divine Mercy, and I want to invite everyone to come and join you and die at her convent in crackle of in Poland. I was so moved by reflecting on her relationship with Jesus all week, and I've been re-immersing myself more deeply in the diary of Divine Mercy, and I really looking forward to going to Poland and back to her convent, but not only Faustina and Divine Mercy, but St. Maximine Colby and John Paul II, and so many great saints.

So just go to our website, schoolofate.com, click on Pilgrimage's, we're going in the middle of June. So come with us. So what did you think about the meditation? When we were in Medjugorje, I did a meditation because our lady is her primary message is this. Pray, pray, pray. But not just to say prayers, because the second part of her message is, we must be converted, we must change, we must our lives must be transformed.

And so when we were in Medjugorje, I did a meditation on the commandments, very practical meditation,

and so many people came up to me afterward and said, I just never think about the commandments.

I don't think about them in detail. I've never seen the concrete, really practical implications for my life. Yeah. And that I'm so looking forward to this series, because this series on the commandments is going to be very practical, concrete relevant. So I'm just excited to get into it. As my, I mean, this was already a very, very great start,

because I think it's all of the, it's not like most of us as individuals are going,

we're, I think we're either going to do one of two things. You're going to look at the first

commandment and say, yeah, I put God first. God's first. I know God's above everything. Or you're

going to be like, how do I do that in every single thing? If I'm not already doing that, I don't know how to just magically say, yes, and that covers everything. But it's actually this step by step, bringing God into everything, choosing God in everything, and that it is smaller and more practical than you think. It's not just, well, I don't have to worry about that one, because I believe in God. And I do believe he's above everything, because you can believe something and in practice something

is very different, because it's just little choices throughout your day. It'll priorities throughout

your day. It's, you're, you're so right. We can think of the first commandment as,

have no other God's before you. Well, I don't, I don't worship any idols, and I know God is God. I'm good. Yeah. Okay. But do I act that way in all of my thoughts? Do I really act as if God

Is the goal of my life in all my thoughts, in all my feelings, in all my choi...

all through the day? I mean, can I really say that? Yeah. And it's not just as quick as saying,

okay, don't choose that. Move on. It's actually then making it in all of those decisions. Which

is just going to be a step by step process. Yeah. And so this, this series is really a series about

making our friendship with Jesus concrete real. And it becomes also a profound examination of

conscience, and a profound way to further our conversions. So I'm excited about this series.

Looking forward to it. Well, thanks for the conversation. Let's be apostles of friendship,

good conversation, and the rosary. Share this with others.
