Today I'm joined by the man who needs no introduction. The youngest heavyweight champion, the most ferocious to ever do it. Mr. Iron Mike Tyson. I didn't end the introduction, I wasn't prepared for it, it comes out your fast. Thanks, man.

You're in great. So big switch on. We're here at the first annual Mike Tyson invitation in Las Vegas. How did this come together? Yeah, I was just, I went to this and this is the truth.

I never said this in the truth.

I went through it, still Jim and Vegas. For some reason, I had to go with the A to ask me to come see the kids. I don't know why I was there, but I was there. And I saw them do the hasn't of the children. And how do they, and then I watched them go back to this part of the local area.

No, they did me a start and some of them were good fighters. And I was saying, why, these guys have a lot of determination and will. I said, the world has to see this. And this is where I come from. I come from a police listen.

I come from Brownville, Brooklyn. It's the kind of place when you're open up your refrigerator, you see an apple. One of those places in the world, you know, it's just the worst place you could possibly think of for a kid. And the one I wanted to stay in New York from the Tetris Center, that got in trouble.

And I started getting involved with Boxford.

And then we used to go from upstate New York, which is 150 miles to New York City, the

Bronx. We were Boxford over the kid. And then we were going to Rhode Island, Boxford kids did, they go on the Boston, Box kids did. And we were constantly Boxford, constantly busy after school, the weekends, we were going

to go Boxford and everything. And guys, we have, you go to the tournament. I got to have 200 fights, got to have 75 fights. Now you go to tournament. I said, no fight.

These guys are not fighting in the tournament, they're not winning trophies of medals. And they're just, they're just not doing good.

“And I think they're, they're trying to even throw Boxford out of the Olympics, they're trying”

to kick it out. And to do that is just the sin, to the, to the order Boxford to the history of Boxford, just the sin.

And if they're kicking it out to the Olympics, how bad can we get?

Yeah. You can't get any words. My boxing needs some money. So me coming up with this idea. And I'm not trying to run amateur Boxford, how that's the front.

I'm an idiot. That's the last thing I want to do is run amateur Boxford. So if anybody thinks American bug you guys must, I want to run an amateur Boxford. No, I don't want to do that. I just want kids to come back and be better athletes than make a better Boxford establishment

in America. That's all I want to do. I don't want money on one. That this is just what we deserve. Like, like the English people say, this is America's birthright boxing.

And the reason we're not in the Olympics and we're not competing as well is just the, it's just pathetic. Really, you think about it. From a boxing person. I'm a boxing man.

I understand my, my vernacular and everything. Absolutely. I don't see constant fighting. We want to be, hey, this week, we're going to talk about, we want to know we're going to a boxing match for the kid, this Saturday, this Sunday, this Monday, but I stay in

home doing nothing or watching TV or going to the movie who watch the young kids and prove himself to make him so better and that should make him happy. I share with you my grandfather and great grandfather are both from Brownsville. And when I spoke, when I speak to fires like Zab, Judy, and Shannon Briggs, they tell me that growing up in Brownsville, the fights were tougher than any other profiles, because

there was no rules and no weight classes. And then again, the fights not over. They see you again. We fighting again. It's not over because you had just foot unless you say, hey, let's watch this piece

of friend. If they have your fighting and they have to be stopped by somebody else, I'll see you tomorrow morning. If fighting again to somebody that's somebody, unconsciously bow down, you know, you know, if you're fighting with the Brownsville, sometimes people get, you know, sometimes, on a

case in me and some of my friends with 12, 11 years ago, we go out from this dealer around six. He tells me, like, a bunch of little, I don't know, his Wolverines and sometimes we make he fun for somebody to hit by a car, one of my friends got, trying to rob this guy with it.

They got, I have my friends still trying to rob him and the guy, and the guy, and the guy didn't want to show him. We're for him. They're giving him money. They got gave him money.

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And so I don't even talk about it. Yeah.

Stuff like that happened. You see stuff like that. And I don't want to get to see that.

No. Definitely not. Yeah. So happy to be here. I'm in front row, watch Sam at your boxing, and I'm excited that we can bring some

enthusiasm back to your boxing. When they see how hard these kids fight for these medals and trophies, they're going to be crying. They're going to have so much to do the act with moments, just rooting for the kids and seeing the kids.

Especially when they see the kids, it's a sophisticated box list. They're educated in IQ and box list. They're going to be so impressed. Listen, this is sometimes I have to realize this right here, let me know that I was

a narcissist because that first time I first started and this other place, I guess, it

is open up a boxing man that somebody else is trained there, the best that we should have. I got mad, but it's not about me. I thought it was about me. I want to question my mind.

No, it's not about me. It's about us. Help me working together. Help in the kid. Absolutely.

You know? I don't need to do it. Me? I don't want to do it. I don't want to do it.

You know, we can do it together together, we can run it, you know what I mean? Help the kids.

“I don't do it, but that's what it's all about.”

Please. That's what you're about. Absolutely. I believe 100%. I believe.

There's a big difference between you as a young professional and the guys coming up today. In 1985, you fought 15 times. Today, guys fight maybe twice a year. Do you think that helped you coming up in the fresher ones fighting that often?

All right, for 15 fights one year, then the next year, I was champion in 20 years old. You know, the more you do it, the better you are, you do it, the better you are.

That's why when I always go to parties, put it, we can get the fight all day every day.

They fight their brothers and sisters and they're constantly fighting. But that's six minutes. Then they're kicking their brother last, they're fighting for real. And that's experience. They're getting more experience.

Not only this one. I don't care who's in that room, my brother, my mother anybody going down, those become the better fighters. You know, it is all about doing it and developing discipline. I'm not going to go robin to that, I'm going to run six miles and six blocks, something

like that. You know, it gives you pride and dignity. When I first started boxing, I came around and I had too much pride to go out there and work. But once I became, when I started winning fights and being in the atmosphere and being proud

of the people in my name, I had too much pride to still. Absolutely. That crazy? That is crazy. That's too much pride.

“Even though I think I'm from bad mood, I have too much pride to still, because that's”

what boxing gave me. Getting me dead because people in my name now, I don't want to disappoint them and let them down. I want them a little to kid now. I made my mistake.

That's a little kid. I thought about that. I was somebody. After being coming from nothing, I'm somebody. An identity.

Exactly. Yeah. That's when you go to all the amateur country, the country and the Russians know your name. You know what I mean? Japanese know your name.

Finally, the country and the people know your name. Yes, the amateur. You know, you want better than any of the professionals. People in another country, they're not big and professional boxing. They're going to get the experience of a lifetime because they're going to go all over

the world. Fight. We're burdened around, I called, because you heard about what I was doing. And he said, Mike, I have a team, and you're like the box my team. I said, I said, I haven't developed a team yet, but once I did, you would be the first

one. Well, it could be the first Mike Python invitation, the competition, once I developed a team. Amazing. Isn't that the fight?

Yeah. I love it. When I go back and watch you as a young man, a lot of people talk about the first round knockouts, the approaches finishes. But what impresses me most is a fight of story and something that goes back and watches

film. Is your performances against the rough, experienced larger guys like James Quick Tillis, Mitch Blood Green, Jose Nina Robalta, your ability to close distance, your speed, your angles to really take away their advantages and get inside. At such a young age, how did it feel being an 18 year old, 2014 pound guy battling giants like

that? Listen, I have nothing to do with fight. Fight enough to do with spirit. Nothing to do with fight. Nothing to do with it.

Nothing to do with it. Let the guys too big and he gets overpowered you. But far the termination of will, side, we had very little to do with it when it comes to fighting.

I never looked at that as a disadvantage, all my disadvantages were my advantage.

I was small, I was lower, it couldn't hit me and I was fast and when I hit, I hit a little hard when I hit them there, kind of didn't have to pick a advantage of them. Yeah, I'd rather fight the bigger guys, little guys than the fast guys. Yeah, fast guys, hard to catch. You're set to fight a pretty fast guy next month in the Congo.

That's what I mean. Cool.

And how cool is it to be the same place as the rumble in the jungle? I'd suggest. Listen, when I went over the, it would be so difficult for me to explain them to the asswoman. It was just something, man, it was something, I never, well, I can't fair, never experience

What are your thoughts on that? Do you think boxing is another option, man? I'm talking about amateur boxing right now. Stop talking about these other outfits, people. Then I involved in our situation.

Okay. I took by and told me I can say about abs to help these kids in our answer that question. I don't know nothing about these guys, but they do them with their life. This is about children right now. Bigger than nothing.

Bigger than those clowns. Bigger than me. I'm about to end up over this. How am I going to give you a compliment about them or with this? Boom.

Listen. I want to feel a little Sean Hayney fight. He's been ready to fight. Why do you got to feel it? Because that's a good thing.

There's a real story about the fight again.

Yeah, that's what it's about. I'm not about who this guy is. He has the next generation. This is a great generation. This is a great generation.

This is about our future. Extend that and have the young people fighting and they'll come out. That's all I have. Our kids are watching. This is all I want to say.

This is one of my babies. I want to accomplish. Yeah. They have those kids. They have no money.

They open their fridge. They see an apple. They have no money coming in. They eat in the hotel. They can't even experience living in the hotel.

They want to make them want to improve themselves and come better and better and better. That's all this stuff. That's all the stuff. That's the whole situation. If you want to make them feel better.

Boxing and I become a world champion. Boxing is about what you learned in boxing. You become a world champion in life.

That is the end of the way with the belt.

This is about making your champion life. Even if that will be champion in the world. But that will be champion life.

We spoke out at the woman as well. The important is it to help these young women in amateur boxing and help them to help grow them as well. Well Chris the shield the bat is most on the planet. She's a good personal look up to. Yeah.

Make everyone respect women boxing. I know there's other good fighters out there. I don't know. I respect them too, but they're not. Chris the shield.

That's the real deal. And they listen. I'm going to say all those other women boxes out there. They can they contribute too. I'm not, you know, I'm not saying they're bomb day and worse than anything.

I respect them. And I look up to them as just as much the career because the shield is just to go. The walk right now whatever she calls herself. And I give her that respect. She's done an all way class.

Yes. She's helping women boxing. Women boxing. She want to kick her ass, but still respect her for that.

Hopefully one of these, you know, young ladies fighting can be the next course of the shield.

They will. They'll be better one day. Yeah. Just like their surpass me one day. And that's what I'm, and I want to be a part of it.

I want to be part of the guy that's that Mike Tyson who looked what I did. I want to be, I want to be part of helping him be that person. I want to be part of that. That's what I'm part of that. And that's what makes me part of him.

Right. Absolutely. Yeah. Yeah. For real.

Especially if we can revitalize boxing because it's. It's. It's. It's. I could inspire somebody to be from the perspective of the world better than me.

You know, as something I look at in my hand. I put a feather in my head. I don't look at him. He's the guy that wild. I helped him to come that.

“That's how I look at like they ran and all he helped me become this guy.”

I had that. So important. And that that's what's fulfilling you now. Well, that's what bugs me out. I can't believe I saw this guy.

That's that I want to be like him. But I became my Tyson. Can you imagine that I see this. I don't know. I don't want to be like him.

I see the ran. I don't want to be like him. And I became like the moment. Pick. You know, I'm telling people to suck this and do that.

And by learning all that, going to prison. That made me the person I am now. They care about the kids that I work with now. You can imagine that all that stuff. All that disgusting negative stuff.

But prison. All that sort of made me this person. And that's why I'm grateful. That's why I'm grateful. That's why I'm grateful.

I'm not the press. I must feel so sorry for myself. But we came deaf. I beat all the arts. And now I'm going to give something to the world.

I'm fighting too long to really acknowledge my family. You know. And you go on. I did a little bit of a little to get poisoned by the world. And you're distancing yourself from your parents.
