So I basically produce, and then she writes and she sings,

but we kind of like, we co-produce everything together. - Yeah. - So like, we go back and forth and we ping pong off of each other. So it's, but her heavy thing is songwriting, singing artistry. Mine's just like producing.

- So yeah. But we've been just kind of working for the past three years, just trying to like find her sound, find out like what fits her and finally we're like, in this spot right now that's just been like,

So, like, we have to do scoring all that stuff. - Wow. - Yeah, but they have the recording side that's from music. - Do you apply the instruments? - I play piano.

- Oh, yeah. - I play a little guitar and stuff, but I'm not like, she plays piano too. - Yeah. - No, she does.

- I don't like piano sing, I don't like, they don't believe, but I know the keys. I know CDE, B flat. - But she had to just label the key. - I don't want to read something.

- That's where I started. - Yeah. - It's like 13 and I label my own keys and like 10 and any more.

- We got to try somewhere. - So, I could like do it faster. - Yeah, I get that, her voice is so... - Oh, do you think in the group? - No, I have, I'm not gonna lie like,

when it comes to like singing in front of people, I kind of climb up a little bit. - But your speaking voice is so good, like if you did a ad with on sprite right now with that, like when you're speaking voice, I would,

I feel like I'd buy it, right? - Yeah, I mean, if it's not that we know her personally, I feel like you're very inviting. - Why are you talking about your life? How are you even after the LA film school?

Did you always know you wanted to do music stuff?

- Yeah, so when I was like 13, like growing up, I went to like, I was always in good club, choir, all that stuff. When I was about 13 though, my dad bought me a little keyboard and I labeled the keys.

And I listened to like songs like unfaithful by Rihanna, like one of my favorites. Like I learned how to play that by ear and I just kept learning stuff in over time. It kind of like, I started to know where they were

and then I went to performing arts high school. - And just like a line again and another, you just got in. - No, crazy thing at the time, 'cause this is like 2004.

- Yeah. - So I went to high school. - Yeah, I was starting high school.

“And that school was like a continuation of school before.”

And this year they changed it to a performing art high school. And so they had got grants and everything. And so I was going to a Catholic school in downtown Long Beach and I guess somehow they got like, my grades and stuff.

So he called and I was able to like just go look at the school and see if I wanted to go and I got to go there instead. - Oh wow, which was dope because like I was in Long Beach at the time but we moved to Compton. So it was kind of like, I was just gonna have to go

to Jordan High School or Compton High High School. And so I got to go there instead in downtown Long Beach. So there I met my mentor who like definitely like took me in and like taught me more and everything.

It always was just a thing.

I always love music and then like life and then so school. I started working and then eventually like some years later I was like, I gotta get back and so like what I love. So finally I was like, you know, I have the confidence.

I feel like I know what it takes for me to like just keep going until like 2019 I bought like a little MPK mini. And so this and I just started to tap in a way already knew like theory and piano. So that part was easy.

And so eventually just kind of like COVID happened. So I was able to like really lock in. I had some buddies who had a space that let me just kind of like build up a little makeshift studio. So I was just in there figuring it out

and once COVID ended and L.A. film opened back up the campuses I went. Okay. But like sit on the couch. Just on the couch.

We haven't had a chance to open a drink yet. We're drilling. You're good, you're good. How did you meet Bax? She was working at Benny Harness at the time and she's like,

I'm quitting Benny Harness. So after I come after I quit Benny Harness, she's like, I can be in here every day with you. And we just somehow just locked in. So each other's anchors are just a clear.

Yeah, big time. That's amazing. So and it just, it's been... Did she respond, Bax, to your text? She did.

What she said? I told her it'd just be ready. She said, okay. Should we call her? Yeah.
