>> Hi, I'm Cynthia.

>> I'm Kristen, this is Humble Brack.

>> Humble Brack. >> Humble Brack. >> Oh, I have tea. >> Want to house life? >> Always a housewife.

Can we say that again for the people in the back? >> Humble Brack. >> Humble Brack, bragg with us. >> I'm going to bring us in today. >> Hey you guys, welcome to another episode of Humble Brack with me and my wifey.

Chris O'Conn, Minko, woo, woo, woo, we're back. >> Hi, I'm excited to be back today. Last week was kind of tough for me.

It was just like a little heavy, but I think heavy, life is heavy sometimes.

Sometimes you gotta talk about the heavy stuff. Sometimes you have to have those horror conversations. And I'm really glad we did.

And I think the people look like we did as well.

The episode seems to be doing really well. We love and appreciate you guys. Humble Brackers out there just for writing with us through all of our ups and downs and all of our stuff. >> And if you missed it, check back on this episode that we talked about, you know, the whole

Jill Zaryn of it all and actually a lot of stuff you guys missed on Beverly Hills between me and Garth Sal. I think it's really, it kind of comes full circle and explains how I got from A to Z with Garth Sal. So check that out. So I'm very into this hair.

We didn't talk about it last week, but it's so cute. >> Well, you know what? Thank you. I'm really glad that it is. It's kind of becoming my work wig.

This is my easy throw on. It's like a hat wig almost. >> Okay.

>> I mean, I work hats with it.

It's just curly. I wet it. It curls up. >> So different wigs and different feelings. >> Different wigs have different textures like for this.

This is like my obviously most casual job ever, thank you very much. And I like to keep it easy. If I have one of my good wigs, you know, undec and they're already ready, I may throw it on just to, you know, give you guys, you know, just to bless you guys with a different wig. But for the most part, I like to be comfortable on here.

And this is just comfortable, easy, and I just wet it and go, I don't need help styling it or anything. So thank you. >> But does it feel different wearing a wig like this versus like a more big glamorous one or does the feeling the same?

>> The feeling is the same. >> The same. Like on your head. >> Yep. The feeling is pretty much the same.

This is a very light. When someone's a longer and heavier and some require, you know, you to like glue them down and all that. This is not that. This is, this is my, my easy breezy.

>> Well, it's very cute. >> Well, thank you. >> I like it. I like it. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, I know we got a lot to talk about.

But we have to get into this whole Chinese new year thing because you started some shit. Man, you started a whole thing. And you would think, since I'm literally married to a Chinese woman that I would have gotten

all the rules right and I need to go through these rules because I think I might need

a hard recent. >> So yeah, you do. And as your wife, I was kind of shocked. >> Oh, you miss it? >> You know, everything, but I would like to take claim that I started Chinese new year.

I did not. >> But you kind of did. >> But they're like a lot of us. >> Well, maybe. But if I did, I'm, it's thrilling, honestly.

I actually posted this week, you know, just the clip of the episode, my season finale of this, my season one for me that I hosted Chinese new year and usually new members don't get to post finale parties, but I really wanted to do it. And I just said to everyone, look, no one on the cast had ever been to a Chinese new year celebration.

And they were, I said, please don't fight. It's really bad luck, actually, you know, this is why I don't Chinese New Year. But also just respect my culture and what this means to me, my family. And they were great, and they were really, like, it was great. So I loved it.

It was very supportive. >> That's good. So Chinese New Year people think it's the day. And I remember everyone's confused like, Chinese New Year's Eve, Chinese New Year day. Chinese New Year Eve was on the 16th.

The 17th is New Year's Day. Both are very important, but the Chinese New Year Day is sort of the day that, you know, you do all those do's and do's and do's. However, Chinese New Year last 15 days, it's a two week celebration, so we're, we're deep in it still.

>> Well, wait, wait, wait, wait. So for the do's and do's that I already screwed up.

So if I screwed it up, day one, can I redeem myself, we'll do that 14 days to redeem myself?

>> I'm going to say yes because a lot of people screwed up on day one. So I want to give you guys not only the grace, but the excitement of Chinese New Year to be like, you know what, we're forgiving culture. >> Yes. >> I want to fix it.

I mean, I did have on, like, my red bracelet, which is, like, fallen off.

I know the red is, like, protection and good luck, which I always try to wear something

red anyway. >> Good.

>> But everything else I think I got wrong, so can we quickly go over the rules?

>> Yes. >> Well, we're supposed to do. >> Okay, so on Chinese New Year day, you're not supposed to wash your hair, cut your hair, I know. >> Okay, I didn't cut my hair, and I did not wash my hair.

>> Okay, great. So the idea of the New Year is that it sets the tone for the rest of the year. And why do you not wash your hair, your scissors, is you don't want to cut everything you have on you in your own, you don't want to cut away or wash away. Because I mean, you're cutting away your luck, your fortune, your washing it away.

That's also, don't take out the garbage, don't sweep. It's all in your home, so you want to keep it in your home, but for the-- >> Okay, I cut my toenails yesterday morning. >> Okay. >> On the day, and I don't even know why I did that.

Why know why I did it, because they had like the two big toes, had just grown really long. >> And I don't even know how to let it out. >> I don't know why you cut your toenails.

>> I never do any of my own stuff with my nails and my toes, but I just was like, I woke up,

and I was like, I'm going to find my toenail clippers, and I'm going to cut these toenails today. >> Okay. >> And I cut them and I went in, and then I went to our group text that you started. With the Chinese rules, and then I was like, shit, because it's the cut either.

>> So, we're past that now, and we're just going to work hard for today, and for the rest of the new year, celebrations, to kind of offset what you did. Reset. Reset. >> Yeah.

>> It's actually, that's what this two week period is.

It's a cultural reset. It is a luck reset. So, we didn't start day one off properly, but we're going to redeem ourselves. >> Okay. >> And we're going to use the next week to keep going.

>> Okay. >> Okay. >> But that's the concept, is like, you don't want to get rid of stuff. Now, every single day of the new year actually has its own meaning. Day one is really about ancestry, honoring your ancestors, that's what you have, like,

dinner with your family. However, the one person that, the people that should not see each other is a married woman at her mom. That actually brings bad luck to your family. >> A married woman and her mom.

>> Yes. >> Should not see each other. >> On the day, Chinese New Year Day. So, a Chinese New Year Eve, I celebrated with my mom and the family. I did not see her on the day of, and I'm going to see her, and then I saw her on the, you know,

the next day, which is day two is, which is today is the day that married women go and visit their mother, and that's to show respect and honor. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Okay.

I'm good with all the married stuff because I'm divorced, so I'm not married, and I won't see my mom until the weekend. >> Right. >> So, you're good. >> Okay.

>> Day three is, it's a day of conflict, actually. So you don't, we're very specific here.

I know, people will always say, "Chinese New Year," good luck, it's actually a much deeper

meaning. There's a lot to it. Day three is conflict day. So, you want to avoid, go to people's homes, you might quite conflict with, just like that's a low, that's like low key day.

So, avoid that. >> Choose peace. >> Choose peace. >> And if you go to my Instagram, you'll be able to see all the 15 days. Like, day five is like business day, so like, that's a day that a lot of business, like

in China, everything shuts down for Chinese New Year. Like, literally two weeks of like nothing, but businesses will open on day five. >> Okay. >> Because it's like, that's the day that you want to, like firecrackers and just bring luck to your business for the year, then they'll close up for day six.

In ends on day 15, which is the lantern festival, if you're heard of that. >> Oh, that's when you light the lanterns and let them fly out into the sky. >> Yes. So, that's the day of illumination and the day of closure for the holiday. >> Okay.

American New Year is a lot easier, I think.

>> It's a lot easier. You just say happy New Year say resolutions that we're not going to uphold and drink champagne. >> Yes. >> Yeah. >> That's the, that's the question we're going to work out for the year.

>> Yeah, you guys, you guys run, that would say the Chinese one is a lot more strict. And the lot more thought out in a lot more detail. >> But by the way, that word is always, when you think about just her Asian culture, like students and did it all, it's like stric- >> Yeah. >> Oh, yeah.

>> It's a stric culture, but also I think has held on to culture so strongly because there's

Many rules.

>> Let me, let me say this because I just thought of something, like when we first, when

we first asked me to be a part of the podcast with you, I think my only trepidation was,

I don't know, you just seem like you run like a tight ship and you are strict. And you are like, like, like, I thought it was going to be all these rules and it wasn't going to be fun and it was going to like stress me out. >> But then you're turning me out right now, I don't know if you know that. >> You think you're like, you're like dogging me, but I'm like, "Uh-huh, she was long

to keep going. >> I'm not going over there with Christopher Komenko for having to whip me and shape on a podcast every week. Hell no. I thought it was going to be like, you know, like, keep flattering me, girl. >> Like, who knew it would be the shit show that it is that we love?

>> I'm a bad Chinese girl, I guess. >> I guess. >> By the way, I don't know, but I'm telling you, it's like the biggest flattie. I'm so type A, but like I have grown up with such structure, with such expectations, but it's not negative.

It's like rules, right? It's tradition and I love it. I'm so into it. You know, I just every Sunday, it's like, I go to East LA to, it's Monterey Park where all the Taiwanese hot spots are, it's the whole family has done some, I've done that since

the day I was born. And of course, you skip a lot of Sunday and you can't do it.

But we always know that there's going to be a family member there and when you're ready,

you can go, there's going to be an answer uncle there. It is, I just, it is what it is. I don't know if you've heard of this TikTok movement in the last few months, and I've just been privy to it about being a baddie Chinese. >> Oh, no, have you heard of it?

>> No, I've not heard about this. >> Okay, so it's like, apparently being Chinese is suddenly like cool in the last few months.

So I think that's why this whole Chinese-near thing has gone crazy, because on threads, my entire

feed, of course, because I post Chinese-near stuff is like, people are like mad. Like, since if you're white, sub-telling me how to be a Chinese person, sub-telling me Chinese rules. And I just write back to people that I don't know, these are random accounts. If you're, I don't care if you're a white person or whatever color, tell like posting like

Chinese traditions, like, I love it. I'm like, if this is how you're leaning into it, go for it. I think it's like spreading information. And like, even if you're wrong, a little bit wrong, like, you can, people will correct you hard.

>> Yeah. >> In seconds. >> Yeah.

>> But I'm really into it.

But this whole Chinese-baddie thing is like, if you want to be a Chinese-baddie, like, everyone drinks like hot water the more. It's like a thing. Like how to say, like, great skin and be healthy and traditions. But that's like, step one is like Chinese-baddies drink hot water the more.

>> No. >> No. I actually think it's true. Because it starts your system and it's like, you know, it's supposed to get used to it. >> It is.

It is. That is very true. And I've been very more intentional about trying to do, at least, I mean, I feel like, I mean, tea in the morning is kind of the same. >> Right?

>> Yeah, same concept. >> The tea? >> Yeah. >> Like, I don't, I just don't want to drink this plain hot water in the morning, or ever, really.

>> I know. Hot water is it. I actually like, Zoe drinks hot water in the morning now. >> I mean, we can't get a little lemon in there or something. Like, it doesn't mean plain hot water?

>> Yeah, I mean, I think you can do whatever you want. But I definitely think it's the hot water thing. I'm actually looking it up. >> Yeah, I have some of the rules up if you want me to do that. >> Oh, you do?

Okay, go. >> This is from the South China Morning Post. I don't know. >> Yeah, I love them. They're great.

>> Okay, great. >> It says some of the rules are, there's a soup for every season and situation. We love hot water, but hot soup is even better. >> I love soup. >> Uh-huh.

>> A fruit is a vehicle for your true intentions. >> Fruit? >> Fruit? It says Chinese Bodies know exactly how to show their love and appreciation for other Bodies through the simple act of gifting expensive fruits.

>> Oh, yeah, that's true. So, okay, in Chinese culture, when you go to someone's house, you bring fruit. Clementine is really popular. When I was in the desert, you miss that trip, you'll come. I know.

In the, in Palm Desert, there's tons of grapefruit, just like endless grapefruit. And in my friends, where she lives in the state of community, you could take as many grapefruit. They're like the size of my head, so I got a bunch and I brought it to Chinese New Year. Oh, my God.

My aunt and uncles. They're like, whoa, so heavy, so juicy, like, I was the ultimate, like, wealthy gift that I brought to the lunch, and everyone was like taking as many as they could. So, bringing fruit is a big deal.

That's why you see Japanese culture, like, the $20 strawberry, you know, the pear, Korean

pear. And it's like, you guys, like, the pear stew, so, yeah, okay, you can go in Chinese bad. Thank you. If you must order a cold drink, then it is the ultimate baddie move to firmly

request, sue Tim, sue Bing, less sugar, less ice, less sugar, less ice. That's right. That's right. Yes, I love that.

Bing is ice, tongue, so we'll talk, like, so less tongue is tongue is sugar, ...

less sugar, less ice. Okay. So, basically, the drink has to be not cold and not sweet. Yes, okay. So, it's so funny, because when you say it out loud, it's like a wipeerset.

It sounds so silly, but actually, just culturally, it's 100%. Like, you want to, like, okay, you're going to come to China with me. I'm going to say, I'm going to say, I'm going to say go, I need to go, I need to experience this in person, because right now, I'm like, I'm trying to pick up which I'll put in now, but I'm like, wait a minute.

Okay. Okay. So, Chinese culture loves treats, loves drinks, and loves, like, shaved ice and desserts. Like, it's just, like, you think coffee culture here is big, like, that kind of, like,

you know, boba drinks. Right? I was going to say, are you guys responsible for the boba drinks, so boba is Taiwanese, which

I'm half Taiwanese, and like, that's what I grew up on, boba, like, a big thing.

And shaved ice with condensed milk and mango, that's like, what we do. Like, when you go out, it's not like cocktails, it's like, go meet your friends for shaved ice. Like, that's what we do. So the Chinese baddie, you can say equals this equivalent to being a flex.

So the flex is, like, oh, I don't need that much sweetener. Like, I don't need that sweet, and also ice cold drinks is very anti-chinese, because they don't want to make your, so you know, this term Yin Yang, and Chinese is called Yin Yang, which is balance. Your body is warm, warm.

You think it doesn't like the cold. It's not like, don't put it on. I knew that. I knew that. Yeah.

I did. That's why I know I do drink all my water and all my stuff room temperature. I rarely do cold water. Okay, baddie. Uh, hello.

Okay. I do that. So yeah. So that's the idea. So it's like, well, boba drinks, you want cold because, like,

it's just better, but we're like less sugar, less ice, it's like, okay, like, you're like way more Chinese, that's right. Okay. All right.

This is a whole, I got one more, it says, never pay extra for dessert at a Chinese restaurant,

butter up your server and ask if there is any tongue sweet, sweet soup. Let's sweet soup. Okay. So, tongue in is, okay, so, tongue in is Chinese rice balls and they're delicious. That is so buddy, that you got like free dessert.

Yeah, they said free dessert. Ask if there's any, they would like to throw in at the end of the meal. This is code for, I am extremely Chinese and I respect you. Oh. Oh.

I know that. I like that. Free dessert sounds good. Free dessert. So on the flip side, right?

It's like, this is culture sick to eat sweets and stuff, right?

But when you're at a restaurant, like, when I grew up, I grew up in America, right? Yeah.

My friends always order dessert at a restaurant.

These cake, chocolate cake, everything like that. I never understood that concept, like we don't do that in Chinese food. You get slices of oranges and if, right, or you get a bowl of tongue in, which is like a warm sweet soup, it's mostly like red bean. You've heard of red beans is being kind of a business.

Yeah. Red bean rice. Yeah. You know, red bean ice cream. Yes, red bean ice cream.

Yeah. It's red beans in it and it has rice balls in it, which is like a little sweet and it's like a sweetish warm soup, so like, yeah, exactly what they're showing on the website. Okay.

So that's the dessert. And then, I guess if you're bad, you're going to get for free. That I didn't know.

I just always had it at the table.

So there you go. So that's being a Chinese body. It's so interesting. So I am, I am, my animal is goat slash sheep. Yes.

So if you look into somebody who's a goat, am I more sheep?

It's the same. They consider the same animal. That's the same. Yeah. They're not the same animal, but like in some Zodiacas' goat, some say sheep.

So my dad was, we've talked about this before because my dad is you. He was sheep Pisces. Pisces. Right. Right.

And I'm getting Pisces really quick, too. Yes. So you're the sheep, and I know a lot of you are so confused about it. I think it's still ingrained in my culture, the like it's like everyday knowledge. So just on the basic, there's 12 Zodiac animals.

It starts with the rat, is the first one. And every single year, like this is the year of the firehorse. So the horse will come every 12 years, which is Zoey's year. So Zoey is just turned 11, but her birthday was, that's another confusing thing. So I'll get to that.

But anyway, so, and then every 60 years is the fire sign. Yeah.

Or so it's wood, water, you know, so this is the firehorse.

And so 60, if you're 60 years old this year, you are bored in the firehorse as well.

Right. So I'm just missing it.

My birthday is tomorrow, and I don't turn 60 until next year.

Yeah, but then you'll be the next animal. But it will be as cool as being in the firehorse year. I mean, I am hoping, I'm sure it's cool. Let's see, hold on. Okay.

Chinese Zodiac 2027. Oh, it's the year of the goat. Is that good? Yes, your year. It's my year.

Yes. Yes. It's going to be your year. Okay. And it's the fire goat, also.

Okay. A fiery goat. Take it. Create a passionate, gentle, and expressive. And so look forward to the fire goat.

I will. Okay, I got. I'm excited. So I read somewhere that 2026, and this probably, well, I don't think it has anything to do with Chinese New Year, but apparently 2026 is the year of Pisces, which is a whole

thing. And like I will say in my birthday tomorrow, it will pass by the time you guys see this. But I was like, I didn't get that memo January 1st, like, I'm like, I'm already in February, and I'm like, I'm gonna need this year to start year in a little bit more if it's supposed to be my year.

Like, it's doing good. Yeah, I'm very full, but I'm like, okay, let me help myself. I should have talked it. Yeah, let me, let me push this thing along if it's my year. Because I'm like waiting for some big, grand thing to have.

Like, all right, we're in February, it's year in Pisces. Where is it? Bring it. Let's go. Like, what's going to happen?

So what do you want to have? But you don't want just like the money ball to explode on your head. Okay. All right. Something like so far I'm doing as working.

But I will say, I've been very intentional and you may or may not have noticed outside of bone on a fun trip with you guys. One of my resolutions this year was to take more moments embrace pockets of fun time. Go ahead. Go to, like, I went to Candy's Play and it was like strictly just for that.

I just flew in and I flew out and I didn't have any meetings or work stuff attached. I just came from Maddie Garo, favorite invited me. She was like the grand marshal, I had one of the parades and it was just one of those like, hey, can you, you don't have a love for you to come and be on my court and what I was like, what?

And normally I'd be like, I don't have time. But I was like, you know what, it's Friday to my go. Yeah. I went. Had the best time ever.

Prince got his complete life.

It was his first time in New Orleans and just, you know, he loves culture, history.

All the things. We did all the things. So but anyway, I said, let's say, like, I'm really actually committing to doing stuff that is not work related. So hopefully that's not going to miss up my big Pisces year.

That's, but I think those moments lead in to stuff like that.

I such a yes person and like, unless I really can't, I want to do it all. And if you have the ability to you have the time, the finances were out, like, do it because you don't know what's coming on the back end of that. I agree. And I also think that going into an event like that, just straight up having fun at

Marty Grott without, I know you. You're like, I need to have three meaning set up in order for me to make this run. It, it dampers that part. It does. So this is just straight up.

I'm leaving everything home, lock the door, let's go and you could really be present and then the feelings like last longer. It's made time. It's like real me time, which I, you know, talk about, you know, I post about me

time, but I usually never really take any real me time.

Yeah. Well, speaking of me time for my birthday, I'm doing a whole spot A. I'm going to go in the well and Prince and I'm just going to get like a three hour massage and get a facial. Whatever they got, whatever they offer, I'm going to get it and I'm just liking it.

And I'm not doing any work tomorrow, I'm just going to relax and spa and eat. Hopefully, I will know all knows the caviar thing better show up somewhere. Yeah. I was waiting for that caviar in and that's it. Where do you have a spot that you love?

Is that you have a good one? I do.

I actually, and I'm going to take you when you come because you have to come to

Atlanta at some point for sure. I know. It's a great. I just actually started, I connected with this amazing spot in Atlanta. It's an area called Atlantic Station and it's called Inspire, which I love the name already.

And they actually reached out to me around the holidays around Christmas and said, Hey, I would love to show you what we have going on here and whatever. And at this big age, like literally, I want nothing for my birthday at Christmas. I know. It's all that experience.

I just want experiences.

I want messages, you know, like I do love to refresh my underwear every year. So that's just like, I do think, like, okay, you know what?

Let me get, you know, a 30 pack of just the same plane black thongs that I always get.

You know what? Well, yeah. Is it thongs? Yeah, it's a thong. Yeah.

And that's it. And you said a black Ross. That's it. Like that's my one thing. And you know what?

And pajamas. I love a pajamas. I love a pajamas. I kind of kind of go to a pajamas, but yeah, like as I learned from you, like when I in my downtime, I should just put on PJs and take a nap.

I hadn't got the nap thing down, but I do relax. Sometimes I get to take a shower and just put on PJs and work from the house,

would just my PJs on the best thing ever.

You know, I only wear PJs. And it's the best you'd ever. Well, they would. It's massage is caviar like that's what that's what six almost 60s looking like. And I love it.

That's awesome. I'm very happy for you. OK. Thank you. I want to wrap up Chinese here, but I think this is really important because we're

talking about, you know, a Pisces season and like good luck and all that. But I so I want to give our humble braggers the best chance at luck. So yes, we'll take it simple. And it does not to be a big deal, but it's just simple things, right?

So for this season, try always have something red with you.

But the thing with the firehorse, it's very powerful. It's very strong character. So you want to wear red like that, like a bracelet, not head to toe red, but actually too much, where it'll like kind of like blow up. But each animal has its own special colors to wear to protect them for the

years. So I'm going to go over it and in order to find out, if you don't know your animal zodiac, just Google, Chinese zodiac and your birth year and you'll find it. If your birthday is in January or February, make sure that you know when the Chinese New Year landed that year of your birth year.

If the new year was after your birthday, you're actually the year prior. Does that make sense? Oh. Yeah, it's kind of confusing, but yeah. I know it is.

So let's say you're born on January 10. Well, I was born January 26 of what year of 2000. Okay, this is a great example. Yeah. So I was the dragon.

I've been the dragon my whole life. You're born. What year? 2000. 26 2000.

But you need to find out when Chinese New Year was that year because if it was after your

birthday, you're actually the sign before Chinese New Year hadn't happened yet. You're your birthday might have still been in the animal prior. I'm actually a rabbit. Zack to spound out. He's a rabbit.

I've been a dragon my whole life. You're a rabbit my life. Wait, you're your rabbit. I thought I was a dragon. I thought that was the coolest one.

It is cool, but a rabbit's great. Yeah, you kind of look more like a rabbit. That's nice. Like in the best way. I'd like you to keep a rabbit.

But like everybody like I would love to be a dragon. Oh my god. I know it's a lot. I just in my whole life for 26 years.

I've been a dragon and I'm finding out I've never been a dragon.

You're not a dragon. Yeah. I know that's a lot. That's a big adjustment going from a dragon to a rabbit. By the way, that was our chum from Jeff Lewis crew yesterday.

You saw a Doug. What freaked out because he found out he actually wasn't a rooster yesterday. What is he? What is that? I forgot what he was.

But he realized it's because it's birthday's January. And he goes, oh my god, my entire life. I thought I was a rooster. A rooster. Are you okay?

Yeah. I know. It's like finding out your mom is not your mom. But worse. But worse.

I know. Never worse.

Okay, I think we're taking this way seriously now.

But no, but it really is. It's like imagine that you're like an aries. And you're like, what? Like this whole time because you feel so connected being a Pisces. But now you're going to start diving deeper into the year of the rabbit.

Seeing what that means. You're a rabbit. And that's okay. And it's awesome. So I'm hopping along.

I know. I love rabbit rabbits. Very clever. That's very incuter. Dragon's so intense.

Okay. I had max the year. I had him to have a dragon. And boy did I have a dragon. Like he is so freaking intense.

And in China, everyone waited to have a dragon boy. So like he's going to get fucked behind the colleges. Because everyone was a dragon boy. Like in China. It's so crazy.

So he's going to, I'm going to, I've screwed him for applications. But when Zoe, I really wanted a horse. I want to horse so badly. And so I literally conceived her the last cycle I could to have a horse. And I remember the year of her birthday.

She's born on the February 12th. Chinese New Year was the 16th that year of February.

I remember I, my child, my OB is a Chinese doctor.

And I said to her, you know, I'm going to induce her by the 14th.

If she doesn't come out because I need, I want a horse. And she's like, of course, of course, she got it. And then, but then I remember it was like, but I want to do, I want her to be a real horse. I want her to be a natural horse. I don't want to be an induced horse.

That's how crazy we are about this zodiac shit.

It's not, it's real. No, it's, it's really fascinating. Actually, the more I educate myself and get into it. I'm into it. It's a lot.

So I'm going to give the colors and then we're going to move on. Is that means to go. He's like spinning right now. I get it. Okay.

Rat. Where blue and gold. Ox, yellow and earth tones. Tiger, orange and gray. Rabbit, pink and purple.

Oh, great. Dragon, golden silver, snake, deep red and black. Horse, red and coral to lean into your fire energy of the year. Goat, use, beige, soft green. Monkey, white and metallics.

Rooster golden brown, dog, green and red accents. That's why I kind of try to find something green. Pig, yellow and warm neutrals. So those are the colors that will protect you. We'll bring you good luck this year.

Again, I have like a red wallet with me. That's just been my whole life. But those are the colors that are right for you in the fire force. Yeah. Well, thank you.

Well, there you go. Oh, it was a lot. There's going to be a quiz next week. On a moment, Greg. Do you see how much you guys remembered?

That was a lot. Um, okay. So I actually want to get right to right to after like seven hours of Chinese. I know, right. I'll slate little teaser came out for Atlanta.

Yes. Yes. Yes. It was very sexy. It was all about like the cheetah like animal.

Yeah. Yeah. Very animal. Very wild. If you will.

It was wild. Yeah.

And I think that's a good way to describe the season.

Season upcoming season 17. I told you guys that I believe. Don't, you know, quote, this is whatever. Hold me to it. But I'm pretty sure that we're going to be dropping in April.

And a little birdie told me that we should see a teaser. Like, like the teaser for season 17 as soon as next week. So my time. We got to see this. We'll probably have seen it.

So excited. I'm excited. I'm excited.

It's, you know, it's always like, you know, it's so interesting when you're doing

When you're part of a TV show. I've been watching so much TV. We have to talk about the America's next top model. I can't say that. I know.

It's so crazy. Like when it's so fun to watch it. But when you're actually a part of it. You're like excited. But you're like.

Oh, shit. Well, it's, you know, how did I go to play out? So it's like I'm excited. But I'm a little nervous because like I said, I did. You know, I got in it a little bit more than I normally do as a friend.

So yeah, we'll see. Okay. So. But I send in my truth.

You know, I think people ask us, I get this question.

I get a lot is I do know what's going to air. Do you know what storylines will play out? Because you we've, you film so much, right? And a lot of things just get completely erased. So I want you to like just jot down what you think are going to be like,

What's going to happen? And then when it finally airs, if it does. I just curious, like what was what was powerful to you meaningful to you? What you thought was going to be the storyline. Just as like for shits to see.

Okay. Have your clothes. You know, like whatever the moment when you rewatch America's. I think stop model. Like, you know, like, oh, that's that relationship.

That fight, whatever. I mean, they have in our seasons have completely cut out. I don't know if it's happened to you full cast events. Oh, yeah. Like things you're like, you just watch it.

They completely skip over. Yeah. Like wait a minute. And then the show makes sense to the audience. But to me, I'm like, that was important.

So I'm just kidding. You know, for us, if nothing.

Well, usually there's always something that goes down at.

If you ever see all of us together, it's some shit's going to go down. Yeah. That's just how it works. It's very weird that it doesn't. So if someone has an all cast and it doesn't make the show.

It just wasn't a good all cast. Yeah. You know what I mean? Because we will get together and go back and forth anywhere. About anything.

So if it didn't happen, it's kind of like, Well, if I really hills over a lot. There's a lot of cut out. Oh, my God. Okay.

Let's like, I know what I want to talk about America's next hot model. But can we just get Beverly Hills over with? Because I am so almost like checked out at this point. Like, when is this going to get juicier? Like, did I miss something? No.

Like, I know. Like, I think. Like, how far are we into this thing?

I still like Amanda.

Sorry. Here's the thing.

And I say, right, this, I don't think she fits right with this cast.

But I do find her to be interesting TV in some way. Because what I do like about her is she's just being her. She's just doing a stuff. And she's not changing. She's not.

And I don't even think she's trying to hurt.

I really think like the woman that I'm watching on TV would be the same person that I would meet in person.

Like, I just feel like she's very authentic. That's who she is, whether you like the woman or not. So that I will give her for sure. I think she's totally authentic to she is. Unfortunately, it doesn't read well.

Right. On TV or at least in this group. And she really lacks, which I think is a great housewife trait. Is lacking self-awareness. Mm-hmm.

But it's almost like she's on a different planet. Like, it's not, her self-awareness is not in this circle. She's just over here and they're over here. And they're all kind of like moving along together, but not connected. But I, I felt like it's over.

Because the fact that they show. They admit it to station. Yeah, the light. Right. Yeah. And then you see the, half the other girls having fun in Hamptons. And literally they're using the, like, they could use any part of these two three hour dinners, right? They make a film for two three hours to get as much content.

Mm-hmm. And they pull out what three to four minutes. The fact that they're using lines like, oh my god, there's no way they're having as much as fun as we are. Who knows what they're doing. I'd rather be here.

And then on the other side, Erica's like, uh, why am I here?

They're not giving Amanda the edit. That's going to help the audience like her. They're just writing her off. Yeah. They're like literally letting everybody know.

No one wants to be here and everybody wants to be at the other place. Yes. Editing is magical. You can make her the fan favorite. You honestly quote if you wanted. That's true.

And people say, oh, unless you give the content, that's BS. You could make her look really fun and interesting. And they're only using the bits that are like, why are we here? And the other girls are like laughing. Like how you have to be at her house.

Like that is, it's just, it's, it's like game over. It's so true. It's so true. Like I can't tell you how many events that I've gone to. That were actually just like, okay. And then somehow in editing, they looked like it was lit.

I'm like, uh, it was not lit. It was not lit. Yeah. Like we were like sitting there looking at each other.

It was crazy for like the first hour.

And nothing really was happening. And then somehow the last 30 minutes of being there. Something fun happened. And that's what they show. Right.

And then you feel like, wow, they're, they're so fun. This is crazy. They lit up. But it's like, it's the sense of the feeling you're giving the audience. And they're telling the audience now.

The girls don't like her.

Uh, I think the message has been very clear.

Yeah. In terms of that for the last few episodes. Yeah. So I think they're just not going to invest in her. And I actually think it's like, it's enough already.

It's like nine episodes of like making her unlikable. Yeah. It's like it's actually just not being any more. You guys don't like her. I know.

We got the memo. I know. They should just start cutting her scenes out more. And like letting her like be friendly in the scenes. Like I just think it's not nice anymore to be honest.

I don't either.

It just makes me actually just have compassion for basically totally.

And like, I'm like dang. Like, you know, I wish I could have pulled up to the manifestation. Brunch at this point just because I would have actually participated. And I don't mind the money queen dormant thing. Like, I don't really give a shit.

Like, do you girl, you know? And like, is that she doesn't do herself any favors. Like, oh, I have nine bathrooms. Like, two of the seven girls have lived in that hole. Yeah.

They know how many bathrooms are in that house. I know. It's crazy. So that's what I'm saying. She's like on a different planet.

I know, well, you know what? I'm not going to say this because I caught this. I caught this. And this is not really to necessarily defend Amanda, but I'm going to say, you know, she gets a lot of flag for talking about like, oh, I am wearing my Christian Lebuton.

Well, notice the shoes. Where in my Christian door glasses, these are actually from Amazon, but anyway. Like, just like kind of pointing out her labels, that like really annoyed them. But I have to say, like, a lot of the other girls, like, and I will say our good friend Jennifer Tilley definitely says what her stuff is a lot.

Like, oh, I'm having a drink from my crystal glass, whatever. Like, but we like Jennifer Tilley people like her. So for some reason, it doesn't rub people the wrong way. Because like, she was like, literally, like, I'm sitting here in my vintage Versace dress right now. Jennifer said that, and I'm about to go have whatever and the shoes I have.

Like, she literally broke in her whole thing. But it's differently when it's general, because she says, because they like her.

Like, group and they like her.

And nobody cares, but I was like, wait, because now I'm like on the lookout for who else is name dropping or like, same, what they have on or whatever, whatever. And I'm like, I mean, it's not the only one. She's the only one that annoys them with it. Totally.

That's what I'm saying is like, it's not only are we.

The audience is getting this edit that we don't like her. It's just clear that it's actually not an edit against her. It's like, that's how they feel. But it just feel like they don't need to keep highlighting it so much. We got it.

Yeah, we got it, and it's just feels achy to me now. Like, I feel like cringe when I see her on camera. Yeah, I'm like, oh, no, they're just going to make fun of her again. Yeah. And it's just, it's enough already.

Let's focus on the other girls. Like, there's a scene with like, bows and a sudden talking about her. Like, she doesn't, you know, it's like whatever they're talking about on the benches.

Like, again, they're always talking about her.

I can't imagine there's not enough content with the other cast members that they have to keep going. Listen. I know this point. It can't be that little. I just wish they would just shut the fuck up and say, hey, you know what?

I don't like this bitch. And then she going to do ever go make me like her. I don't like, she can't do nothing right. I'm not going to like this dormant. I'm not going to like, nothing.

They are. But, but like, stop talking about it. Like, to say, don't even go to the branch. Basically, at this point, because it's only to read her. Well, okay.

So, do you think they should just then stop building with her?

Well, you can't, like, I guess they brought in what's her name. The other girl who's made zero impact. Yeah. Well, what is she doing?

Nothing.

No one's even talking about her.

No. No. How about this? What's her name? Who is this person?

Because I'd see like some other lady sometimes. Like, I haven't seen anything happen. No, I don't think she does anything. Her blessing is fuller. Oh, but, you know, who's this week?

It's Denise Richard. They brought Denise in. Well, thank you, Lord. That's my girl. I know.

But now they're going to talk about Denise. Oh, but they're like, they usually mean to Denise, too, right? Yeah. But I think they're trying. Because I'm sure after Amanda, they welcome Denise.

Can you imagine?

They're walking like we loved.

Yes. Well, come in. Tell us all about your upside down jackets and your divorce. And I'm sure they're like welcoming that.

Because they, I think they just, you could tell they knew Amanda was going to be an issue with.

They want to make a good show. So they can read what's happening. I think, and I think we talked about this crystal. I think that it is like when you bring in a new housewife and they come in as a housewife. I think that is very tricky.

I think that there's something to be said about like bringing ladies in and seeing if it works out to give them housewife status. Like just let them start filming and see how it's going. Because it just really sucks to watch someone who has been giving this title. Who just can't win for losing. Like it just kind of like why did you guys bring her over here if you're like if nobody's going to like her.

And now we're just annoyed watching it because we don't understand what's happening. We don't understand what she's here. Right. And we know how tedious that casting process is. And this is what you guys came up with.

Like is it all because she lives in house house now? Is like was that the big confirmation moment of like you guys have to have this woman on there on the shows? Yes, I guess that was enough for them. I don't know. Well, apparently not because it's not working.

It's not working and it's like we're to watch and it's like, you know, it's like, you know, I love the other ladies on the show. But it makes them look crazy that they're just like at this point. So they're just tolerating it. Like they just seem like they're just going through the motions when it comes to her. They are.

Okay. I think they're going to bring in some like more spunky people next year. Well, I think that's a good idea. Yeah. Or at least kind of like test these girls out before you kind of throw them in because, you know,

I think a man is great. I just don't think she's great for this show. Yeah. People I read something that they said she would be great for Salt Lake City. I don't think so.

I think she's more orange County. Oh, my God. That's what she is. She's orange County. She is orange County.

Yeah. She's not Ella. She's orange County. She's not. I think she, you know what, you nailed it.

I think that's what it is. I just think there's something about the Beverly Hills ladies that, like, she just doesn't even give me Beverly Hills at all. Like she does, like I know, she like name drops and all this stuff. But okay, or she just seems like really like, I mean,

I look at her scenes and stuff like that. She might make up on like she just doesn't really, she just seems really like, lay back and like whatever, you know, like, like that didn't seem like she does her hair. She's just like, come to the scene.

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, I'm not, not in a bad way. It just doesn't, it just doesn't seem like she gets up and it's like,

Oh, I'm a Beverly Hills housewife.

Let me go do Beverly Hills housewife stuff.

Right. It seems like she just does like, When you have like Erica who was like Lee text. Yeah. And like the Cartier and did it like the whole thing.

Yeah, like you're wearing a Gucci jacket. Yeah, she doesn't play into it. She doesn't play into it. Where I feel like a lot of they just like, okay, let me not have one Birkin with me.

Let me have 10 Birkins inside of one Birkin to just really drive it home. That I can afford a Birkin. Right. And like, my Birkin's got Birkins. Yeah.

My Birkins have children Birkins. You know what I mean? So, and I don't, I'm sure Amanda has a Birkin. I'm sure maybe I missed episode where she brought it up. But I haven't seen that like that kind of like stuff.

Because I think of that kind of stuff when I think of Beverly Hills. Right. Okay. Well, Lisa, we were not going to talk about it here. And then we sat here and talked about it. Okay. Moving on.

So Salt Lake City, I just mentioned it. Did you hear about this new mega clause in their contract? No. What is that? So I spilled the tea a few weeks ago.

Yeah, you've been spilling a lot of tea. I don't know. People tell me stuff. And then I say it on here and they keep telling me stuff. But I had said that cast they don't get the screeners.

Right. Because they think that they leaked to the bloggers. Right. So they're punishing them by not giving them because what happens is if you act right, you get to see the show before it comes out and get to the episodes.

Okay. Just for people that forgot they're just doing this.

So they got you should get it two days prior.

So you could see it happening. But Salt Lake City was banned the season from getting it. And furthermore now in this new part of their contract. I guess the girls that received contracts had this new mega clause. That tells them that if they are found to be talking to bloggers,

leaking story lines, whatever they'll get fired immediately. And so they have to sign that. Yeah. It's called the narrative integrity clause. Basically the cast are not allowed to create influence or leak story lines about the show or other cast members off camera.

This includes using third parties as a proxy. Any on camera discussion about unverified activity will be caught from the final edit. And any verified activity is punishable on a scale that includes financial penalties, loss of screen time, emotion and fire. There you go.

That's insane. Okay. I've been around a long time within this space.

And we've never like that's never come up on Atlanta.

What is happening over there? I think also it ruins the show because then it's the show's about leaking stuff. And people are just sick of that storyline. Yeah.

I think, you know, I understand Salt Lake City.

Those girls are like, they're so different. Each one of them. They just are, they act different. They just have like a different tentability whenever around them. And I like them all, but like they are like characters.

They have a character like personality each of them. That's actually true. Right. And it's not disparaging. It's just like they're different.

That's all I can say. I don't know. I thought about that. Like when I hang out with like other people. I just like, oh, it's like hanging out with them.

Like they are, they're characters. They're characters. They're characters of people. So. And they have been this sort of like while totally deserved.

But it's like Salt Lake City Salt Lake City. The best show, best show, I think the pressure on them as a cast is so high. Mm-hmm. And so they have, and they don't live in LA. They, you know, in Hollywood or New York where it's like they know how things like they're in their bubble.

And they are like very more men over there, right? Very more men. They're in their, in their bubble, meaning like they're not around other productions and stuff. And they don't hear about how things work.

So I think that's like they were sort of enlightening in a bottle kind of show.

And every year people love them more and more. And so the pressure on them is to like make it bigger and better and more sensational. And then what happened was people didn't like last season because it was all about making the, you know, like all the shit behind the scene. So that's why this clause is crazy.

But like you said, you've been here forever and have never seen a clause like that.

That's insane, like crazy. Okay. Well, hopefully they will stop and they assign them. Yeah, I'm sure they have crazy financial. Well, Lisa Renes said that she got fined.

Did you three of that? No. She had said on some interview that she had to pay a $50,000 fine for her social media stuff. And I knew that happened because we were being threatened. Like that season because there was a lot of leaks.

But it was also not just leaks. It was like a lot of fits all against and it was me.

I saw that.

So I'm not surprised.

So she was, she did get fines.

So wait, she leaked something they found out. I don't think it was a leak.

I think she was like going after Gar Sal and some other people on social media.

I don't like that. I don't like, like, I think that's just like this is a freaking TV show. We don't have to go all there. Wait, wait. Speaking of Gar Sal, have you heard from her since we talked about the conversation on the podcast?

No. Okay. But I think she's good with it. Yeah. I thought it was a great conversation.

Yeah. And I think that it was positive. Yeah. And I think it was a great way for you guys to continue moving forward as friends. Totally.

Totally. It was very important for both of us. So I was going to have to talk about it. But no, I mean, I think that's I get why the network has to shut it down because unlike other shows that are like scripted and stuff. You really don't want to share information, right?

You want the show to do well in that way. Yeah.

Reality is like a different beast because it's all kind of part of it.

All the infighting and stuff like that. So I think they need to protect their shows, protect their classmates. And yeah. So unless they sign that clause, they don't get to move forward on the show. Wow.

You know what?

I think I'm going to probably just start making all of us do that just just in case, I guess.

Like that's not an issue for Atlanta, but I don't know. It's just another rule. Yeah. It's just going to probably be implemented because, you know, why not? Some of the ladies just be doing too much.

Right. But why not? I mean, why not throw it out. Yeah. I mean, everything else is in our contract.

Like, I'm surprised that it hasn't been in there all this time to be honest. Honestly, the craziest contract ever. It is like millions of pages. It's like it's really high now. Wait, do we want to talk traders?

Oh. Yeah. Let's talk traders a little bit. The last thing that happened was Eric was just chosen as a trader and. Yeah.

And they then killed Darinda. Yes. They did that challenge where they chose Tara every single time and they hidden the box. Yes. And then they all voted out Stephen.

And it was between Stephen and Johnny and Tara. And they chose Stephen and the Stephen. And they were like, Oh, my god. We're so stupid. It's obviously Johnny.

Oh, the reason why it's hard for me to remember traders.

Even though I love it so much, it's because I watch it the second.

It's out. So it's like it's my obsession. Our girl Darinda. Bye bye. Boom.

It's back to Blue Manor. Yeah. Dang it. But you know what? I was, I was really happy to see.

Darinda get her second chance to be a part of it in a bear way. And I thought she did a good job. She didn't know. She did a great job. She did a really good job.

There's no way everyone didn't know if she was a faithful. She just was collateral damage. They just had to pick someone that you know take them off the cent.

I think Eric is an incredibly terrible trader.

And that's a very, that's a compliment. The guy is so scared. He wants to be a bad guy. So bad. He cannot do it.

It's just. And you know what's going to happen? He's just going to get killed by his partner. I, that's how I feel. Right?

It's like Rob is Batman. And Eric is Robin. Right. And Batman's going to kill Robin in the situation. Right.

You could just tell. He's just a cheap shield. Yeah. Just to get his money. I like that prop actually threw him a bone though.

Like I kind of like that. Because it brings Eric into the show, into the game, in a bigger way than he was. You know, I don't think the thing is I don't think he gave him a bone because that's different if you're like a housewife. So from my know from everyone that I know who's been on the last four seasons, there's a big difference when your reality star versus a gamer. The gamers want the money.

The reality stars want airtime. Right. Because the airtime manifests into money. Right. So they don't care about like they're like it's irrelevant money.

That's what they say. Like like you can win a hundred thousand dollars. So a lot of people that's a lot of money. Right. People get serious brand deals.

And the longer you stay on, you're inclined to get those, right? That's true. Yep. If Rob was Candace. And she said in Porsche was still there.

Porsche come to that is given someone a bone. Like come on housewife. Well, let's take more television. Right. Right.

He granted. He's not a gamer. Rob. He's a love island guy. Love island.

Which, by the way, I was like because of Rob on traders. And because of this girl, a beautiful girl. A landry. Yeah. I just kept seeing her on my social media.

I was like, who is this? I was like, you know what? And I kept seeing she's from love island. So I just took a deep down. I was like, let me just watch a couple episodes.

Yeah. Meanwhile. Are you obsessed?

36 episodes later.

Like, if they don't end this thing, like, I've completely

now I have to finish it to the end because it's. I have to, and I only watched that season because I was like, let me just see. Like, as soon as I get off, I can't wait to go back and finish the last two episodes. It's, I'm obsessed. Crazy.

Okay. I can't start it. I just, I don't have time. I will literally cancel all the important things to watch TV. That's my problem.

I'm up to like three in a morning. Like on the couch. Like Paul and the sleep trying to watch it. Like I have to just like just one more episode. Just one more episode.

Yeah. Yeah. I'm not going to be over soon, so I can get back to my life. It's like, I have in the life right now. Oh, my God.

Okay. Yeah.

So I know he's from Love Island, but to me, as someone new to him, right?

He is a gamer to be. Yeah.

So he is like a gamer for sure.

So he picked Eric, not as a bone. It is, he is his shield. He is his, he's a body that when push comes to sure. I'm going to kill you, Eric, and I'm going to take the money. Laura, that's, that was a lot on her.

She is the most biggest scaredy cat on the planet. Mm-hmm. She's obviously authentically scared. And they're really using her. And Johnny, as like the, I mean, we're obviously playing stuck your brilliant game.

I mean, it's so crazy. No, he's killing it. He is killing it. And what's his name left? Steven.

Steven's from reality, right? He's from Laguna Beach. And one tree hill. Oh, Laguna, okay, that was a little bit after my time. A little bit too old for that show.

One tree hill. And Laguna Beach. Did you watch that? You're too young. Yeah, that was between us.

Steven Colledi is from traders to me. That's all I know him. Fairly. Um, it's bad because he does, it's so hard. Because we are privy to all the information as audience.

So when we watch, it's like, oh, he's so obviously a dotted ID. There are so obviously this. But if you're in it, I can only imagine everyone is so confused. Yeah. Yeah.

Yeah. It's easy for us to say, oh, it's so obvious.

But like, I think nothing would be obvious.

Yeah. I actually think the girl with the really strong accent. The best, the best fashion ever. Mora. And on the history of the show, that girl is killing it.

Every time she walks to the buffet. It's like what in the world she looks like. She's so gorgeous. She would have been a good trader. A hundred percent.

I actually think she'd be an obvious trader though. Like she, yeah, she is trader. Like she just looks like a fierce trader who person. She doesn't, she doesn't give me faithful. No. So it's kind of interesting that she's still around.

Yeah. So she's a good job staying around because I would have killed her. She's also love island. So I think that Rob has hurt in his back pocket in a way that he doesn't for some of the other. Oh, she's love island too.

Okay. Okay. You're only on episode 817. I'm on like the fourth season. But I can't watch them all because it's like too much.

But yeah. Did you win my violin? Is there a winner? I don't know if she won, but she has become such a huge star of love island UK. Oh, okay. I'm not watching UK.

Oh, okay. Oh, god. You're really going to dive deep if you can't do UK. So what do you think is going to, what's going to happen? Who's going to predict this thing?

You usually get it at the staff. What's, who's going to win? Who's going to, who do we like what? I mean, he'll like Rob, he's like the obvious winner to me right now. But yeah, I don't see how he will lose. I know.

But maybe if someone, if like Kristen Nabsim, I mean, Kristen is like so incredibly confident and strong. But she's just gotten it wrong every time. Yeah. Which is so I feel like I'm Kristen.

I feel like you are. I'm like a detective and did it up. But like I would just not get it right every time. Yeah. And then just feel so blindsided because she's such a,

like she's so an ultimate faithful. Yeah.

But she finally is getting Eric.

Because Eric's tell is just. And I think because of the two Asian guys together, guys made it to Asian. She's on to Eric. She was definitely on to Eric.

She's like, you didn't have much to say at the roundtable. Right. But I think she feels Eric. I think they're close in the house. Mm-hmm.

And then all of a sudden he's different. You just know. Because you know everyone knows at the time someone's being like recruited. Right. So now you're like, who's different?

Yeah. Whose patterns are changing? Yeah. Yeah. So I think she could.

If she gets Eric, I think they're going to recruit. Maybe they recruit her. Well, I think that Rob's biggest issue right now. And my opinion is that they've only killed female traders. Like all three they've gotten.

So if I were in the house, I'd be sitting there being like, It's got to be one of the guys, right?

And that's why I think they're on Steven Johnny.

Eric's a good sacrifice. Eric, isn't that? I think Kristen is going to ride to the end with Rob. It's just a matter. Mm-hmm.

I think Kristen has cut throat enough that she's not going to let Like a four person wind happen like last year. I think she's going to want to get down to the final two. Mm-hmm. I actually think she's a great trader too.

Yeah.

Yeah.

I think she would have been a great trader as well.

Yeah.

So I'm just, I just feel like nobody's a real threat to Rob at this point.

So we're almost at the end. It's crazy. Yeah. It's such a good season. I love it so much.

Yeah. I love it. Um, okay. Let's get to the top model because that is a doozy of a show. Okay.

So what are your thoughts really quick? Because I, you know, coming. This is like my world. So I'm, I watched it in a different way. You know, I know Tyra.

I know Jay Manuel. I know Jay Alexander. Like, I know these people. Um, I know some of the contestants. Like, I'll give you my one minute.

I watched that show like watching the development of the show in the documentary.

And like, is it going to hit?

Is it going to, I sat there watching the documentary. Like, I was one of the people. I was one of the millions of watchers. I loved it. I was in school at the time.

And I loved models. I would ever, I owned every magazine from Cosmo to team magazine. I just loved models. So because I just wasn't like, I, you know, I dropped about being a model. Not in a real way.

But like, I wish I was pretty like that, right? Yeah. I just loved. I was, it was appointment television for me. I cared about every girl.

And I remember it was harsh. But I, it was a different generation. It wasn't harsh. Like, the way you kids read it now. Yeah.

It was a different time. This was like, what modeling is, you know? And I love. I wish I could have stood inside those, you know, offices and watch it went go down.

I think a tyrant takes no responsibility for it. She seems to throw everyone under the bus. And I think, though, that I do. I think it was like meant for television. But I also think that we've learned a lot since then,

you know, both happens. But I don't remember feeling like it was so. I just knew models had to be really skinny. Models had to have pretty skin. Yeah.

The common guard, like, that's what we just knew.

Like, boss had to have a nice teeth. That's what a model was. Like, I'm not a models or like aliens. And I'm not. Yeah.

And that's what it was. I don't know. I mean, that's all. I'm more curious about what you have to say. Okay.

So I'm watching it as someone who chapter one was my modeling career. Like, so I was triggered in so many ways, because that was my life before I got here. And every way. And I know these people.

I love the people that are part of the show. And I'm also a reality start. Yeah. So I kind of get it from like the model. The modeling show being a reality show.

So I was like, okay. So now I understand it from both perspectives. I will say this. I felt like what happened was I think this show started out. Having the intention of actually really trying to show the behind the scenes of what it is like to be a model.

And I think they got a lot of it right.

I think where it started to go left was the fact that it was a reality show.

And they had to make the TV. So then it just started being extreme for no reason. Like some of those challenges were like, Oh, no, no. I'm not going to hang from a football stadium and do a felt like it just became ridiculous.

Okay. You know what I'm saying? Like the role of all who was like shot to death, like the blood everywhere. That's not real. Come on.

Like that's just that was no reason for that. That's that's now we're making TV. Did I film in Alaska doing swimwear? Yeah, in the freezing cold. Yeah.

And then as soon as I I've got to shoot and then I come in and they would be warming me up and that'd be a heater and like they're roll. You know what I mean? It was like modeling's not easy. No. But it is nowhere near like the stuff that they had them doing because they just took it.

They made it more about TV as opposed to like fashion. And what it really is like, yeah, there's like, you know, you're traveling all the time. You don't get a lot of sleep. You're going from shoot to shoot. You're going from country to country.

You're going back and forth. Like I would go back and forth to Paris from New York. Like three or four times a week. Like it would just be crazy. My schedule.

Wow. You know, of course you had to be, you know, watch your weight and what, you know, all those things. But like, you know, and this is my experience. Yeah. And the experience is some of my friends.

I never got to the point where like my, if I gained weight and my agents say, hey, you know, you look like you picked up some weight.

You need to like lose some weight. My personality. I would never take myself to that extreme of being unhealthy, being sick, like passing out, fainting and shit. Like if it was, if it was going to take all that for me to be a mob, I'd be like, fuck this shit.

I'm not doing it. But you took that as a normal business like yes, like even as a reality star, like, you know, I've gained some weight. We've talked about it. You know, my weight watches journey over the past, like, you know, as I've gotten older.

And, you know, fans can be a little cruel.

But nobody said, hey, you need to lose some damn weight. You're getting on up there. But I know that I needed to lose some weight. And it took me the time that it took me the time to lose it. But I can see, like, you know, wherever I go in my life, I kind of know what I'm supposed to look like.

A what it would be the best way for me to look.

Now, if I just want to get a weight, be like, hey, this is what it is. Now, you're going to get the curvy version of Cynthia. You can kiss my ass, whatever. Then that's fine. That's on me.

And then we all just suggest. But if I actually want to be looked the way I want to look, then I know what I got to do. Right. So that's how I feel like it was from modeling.

I never would go to the extreme.

And I have to say, I was never forced to go to the extreme. And I'm not saying that if they told me I need to lose weight, they wouldn't sit me down for two weeks. And be like, we're not sending you out to you a little bit away. Right. And that's why I've been a model.

I was like, okay. Well, let me, you know, it was like a normal meal for me would be, you know, like, especially if I was in Europe doing the shows and stuff. Then I would be like, it would be like ramen noodles, like a lot of soup. I ate a lot of fruit, like I ate, but I was definitely mindful.

And I walked a lot, especially in New York. But the point is, is that this is your job. Yeah. So you signed up to like, that's part of what you should. You should have some expectation that unless you're going to be doing plus size,

that if you're going to be skinny, if you're going to be a model and it requires, that's one of the requirements, especially during that time. You know, it whole thing has changed now. Right. But during that time, if I knew if I was going to, if my Paris agent called me said, hey,

we have a lot of interest in you for the Paris shows. I know immediately I'm literally pulling the chicken McNugget out of my mouth. Right. As soon as I get that call and I'm clocking in and I'm going to start exercising, instead of taking the train to my castings, I'm walking everywhere now.

Like I'm doing what I got to do to get that size because that, you know, runway size is very different from which is why I didn't do a lot of runway to be honest. And a little bit that I did, they just made the clothes work for me.

I think that's what's so interesting is that we're at an era where,

like, areas of time are much shorter. Mm-hmm. These capsules of time is like, we used to think, you know, 20 years ago, you know, in the 1800s, in the 50s and 60s. Now it's so small, like we're now looking back on watching that show,

the generation today, you know, when you were showing during COVID, everyone started watching the show. It's like so painful. Like this is abuse and whatever. Like they weren't really adults then.

This was modeling was that. Yeah. They didn't have plus size was brand new. I remember hearing about plus size. If I went back to modeling today,

and actually I'm going to do a little bit more modeling, like I have parts of interest in that. I would be consider plus size to be honest. For modeling standards, like, I'm a, that was like a 12,

and I'm down to like almost a 10 now, because thank you, like shout out to waitwatchers, like I'm actually finally coming down a little bit. Yeah. And 10 is like a size 10 is like where I want to be.

I'm never going to be as six or so.

I've no idea what I want to be. Right. But like I though I don't have a lot of modeling is like a size zero. Yeah. Which it's not even like four or six is like a zero.

No, it's like a zero. Yeah. So my question for you is before you wrap up as a model, watching and a reality start watching it. Were the girls that they picked.

Actually viable to be real models or was this a television show casting. Okay. That's a great question. Thank you. I have great questions in there.

I think somewhere. Some at the potential and some did not. To be honest, some were just kind of had better stories. Like, I mean, I love that idea of collecting someone from Walgreens who. Has every thought about being a model who just randomly came to the casting and made it.

Made the cut. You know what I mean? And then just getting to see that transformation. Because that's a television show.

I think some of them could have had a shot for sure.

But some was kind of like probably not going to happen. But you know, I was trying to see them go through that process. Now, I want to get to the part where. Um, this is the thing that I didn't appreciate. This is the thing that brought me all the way.

Wrong. Was TV, good TV, no TV. The part and I don't know if you saw that part. The part where the girls being in a Walgreens. I think it was the girl that they that came from Walgreens.

Shandy. She literally. Was it great in a lot? Yes. And they.

I know. They did. Like she was drunk out of her mind. She had.

She's like basically like sticking bones.

So you know, the girl wasn't really eating. She's like, they're hanging out having to get time. And it escalates. And I believe that this girl was completely shit face drunk.

Yeah.

Blacked out and had no idea what was happening.

She wakes up and it's like, wait. What? You know, the story line that she was like, they made it a fucking story line. They filmed it. They filmed her calling her boyfriend.

They had her film to call her boyfriend. She didn't cheat on him. She was great. I know. And by the way, I remember when I was younger.

And I watched that. That is crazy. I know. I know. And I'm not watching it.

Like, oh, my god. She's like a cheater. And she's called. Because like these girls are like, my age at the time. You know, as younger, probably.

And it's so horrific that that that's what happened.

Listen, I have. And no, we have to wrap up. But I have very strong opinions about some of the stuff that happened. But for me, because there's some other, there's a couple of other things. But for me, that without question as a woman.

There's no way that I would be the creator of a show that literally show that. And I found out that happened. And of course, they told Tire. Of course, they told everybody. There is no way on God's green earth that I would say, let's show that footage.

Right. Because they had already filmed it. Let's show her going to the doctor. Let's show her, call him like, as a woman with something as sensitive as that. There is no way.

That would have been the one time I would have said, you know what? I don't care who I got to talk to. Take that shit out. You cannot show this. This is like a young girl who that trauma is still with that woman.

Of course. That is crazy. Like, even if it happened and they took it out, she still would have been traumatized because it actually happened to us. But to have to relive it. Right.

You can show it on a TV show? I know. But beyond the fact that they showed it is that the narrative was that she cheated. That they shamed her. That make it even worse.

Yeah. That makes it even worse. Yeah. Like they're blaming. And then I know.

They fucked her over. Yeah. And then her boyfriend is just like anywhere she goes. They're like, you slut, you whatever. That was very hard to watch.

It was very hard to process. Like, even like anyone that had a hand and said, hey, let's keep this in. Let's do this. Like, what the hell does that do with modeling? Right.

Like that is that was awful. Like that's that was sort of the overall arc of the question of just like where these girls did they go through all of this with the chance or where they just.

I think that was I think there was a chance.

I do think. And this is going back for me. You got to realize I was already in New York modeling. So I couldn't even have been on a show like this because it was already. I was already with agents in the world and doing my thing.

I will say that when that show came out. We just kind of looked at it like, oh, it's a TV show.

Like I never was on castings with anyone from America's next top model.

I never booked jobs within any of those girls. Like I never even saw them. And to me, it was kind of like, it was kind of cool. Like, oh, they're doing a show about modeling because we're models like real models not taking no shade to them. Yeah.

Yeah, the first we're like, oh, that's cool. Because it, you know, this was no Instagram as anything like that. For me, I was like, it's kind of cool. They're like, get to be famous. But we're actually just models who actually have been just really model.

And I want to play in every second and do the steps. So I was kind of like, how cool is it to be famous. We're being a model because as real models, we weren't really unless you were like Naomi Campbell is somebody. We weren't famous yet because that hadn't happened yet.

Right.

Like, where models were like famous, unless you were like,

Linda Vangilista, Sydney Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Tara Vangilista was like six of them that were famous. And everybody else were just working girls, working models that just did the work all the time. I mean, they worked too. But you know what I'm saying?

Like we weren't, we weren't famous. Those girls were like famous. And like even like Eva, who, you know, was a part of the past wife. I didn't work with Eva until I was on housewife until she was on housewives.

Like we never and she did very well.

Like she definitely was able to go and, you know, you know, acting career. Like she was, she leveraged that platform a lot. I didn't see her doing any interviews on the thing on Netflix on the show of whatever. But she definitely got a lot exposure from that show.

And she was able to leverage it in a real way. Even even even come on housewives. Like we're like, okay, yeah, even from America. Next up model. Like that's what you'd know her from.

But for the most part, I never worked with Eva. Like I never was on, I never saw my castings. Whatever. And then one of the, oh, by the way, that answers my question of them. Yeah, well, one of the ladies said, you know,

some of these girls did go on to be signed with agencies. But then they were saying that it was kind of like, they were in a different box because they were like models.

They were like from America's next up model.

So a lot of times they wouldn't even send them on castings.

One of the girls were saying. So it kind of was like a blessing and a curse. Like it's like, okay, the whole point was to become a model. And then you, whether you went or not, maybe you can get signed. But then no one takes you seriously or whatever.

Like it. I don't know.

I think it's the blessing if you're like Eva and you parlay it into something else.

Yes. But overall, I think it's like it makes you famous for a moment. And no one's going to take you on as a model. Absolutely. But in our fairness, when I think about it, just knowing Eva,

you know, we're friends and knowing her personality. Whether she was on that show or not, she was going to go on to do something. Like she just was, you know, she's beautiful girl. She is, you know, she can figure it out.

You know, some of those girls were like, literally plucked from these places had no idea what was happening. It was really like, okay, and my guy is just going to make me a model. Like, you know, what, you know, is am I going to go be able to go on and do other things? But they just didn't have the, to really kind of parlay into whatever.

And a lot of most of them from the stories that they highlighted, most of them were pretty traumatized for the most part. People were like, oh, there was one thing where they like pulled this girl. You saw the, the tea thing. It was like, what the hell.

And yes, they will say you need to go get your tea down.

Like, literally, I don't know, it just looked really torturous to me to watch that whole thing. I think they tortured them. They did like 14th at the same time. They tortured them for television. And then they had to go right back and they should go right into a photo shoot.

Like, 14th, like, that's two days like recovery. But that's, yeah, it was for television. It wasn't for really modeling. Yeah, it was for television. And I would love to like maybe, you know, do a continuation,

other things that I want to talk about on next week's episode. But I think for now, I think the thing that really pissed me off and just hurt me was that whole situation where this girl literally was not protected. Yeah. And I said, and if somebody's in a film in it, then somebody saw this man.

No, it's crazy. It's crazy. Like at what point are we talking wrong as people sitting there going, oh, I guess we'll just keep filming it. It's a reality show.

Like that. No, it's like, that's crazy. No. I actually don't think that would happen today. I will say that.

No, I don't know how it happened then. No. And then they had the nerve show to show. Like the fact that even did it is like outrageous. But the nerve to show it.

No, I think that while it's happening,

I think they were having conversations and they still decided for the sake of television.

That is, that is a moment that I could hands down say that I was very disappointed in an entire for sure.

Like that is a moment she should never, ever, ever be proud of because if she had any

ounce of power or any say so or just something, something. She did that. She let it go. She let it happen. This is a T.B.D.

T.B.C. To be continued because I think we should talk more about it. I'm going to wrap up because I got to run. I love you too. I love you too.
