express yourself in the truest sense. Yes. Yes. And not everybody has the ability to do that.

When I think about even when I had my spiritual awakening, how unacceptable it was to be that way.

And now a lot of people are awakening to realize that there's a lot more of the story in so many facets than any of us are really realized. Becky Joe was the founder of Blue Butterfly Healing in Organics, a healing focus brand built around spirituality, energy, and helping people reconnect with their own power. My business is built around the gifts. It's built around what I believe I meant to bring to this world and bring to other people. So I believe we're in a time and him and a

evolution where everybody needs something. Everybody is questioning a lot of things and it seems like our society is crumbling and so many more ways. Like the old systems are crumbling and I do believe that people like me that bring that spiritual component to this place, the purpose of it, is to help other people understand their own power. This is how I was taught to do things and this is what my soul is leading me to do. So it spans the globe, like a super high school,

internet Elvis. Today Apple is going to reinvent the phone. It's not over, I'm telling how we're the living your legacy podcast for those who live to leave a legacy. Welcome back everybody to another episode of the Living Your Legacy podcast. I'm your host for today, Jason Tyler and I am joined today by Becky Joe from Wisconsin. We're skits. Somewhere in Wisconsin. Shout out to T-Pane.

Yeah. Um, so Becky Joe, you just finished your interview. First of all, how do you feel?

Great. Good. Good. You were with Lauren. Lauren's a great, great interviewer. I'm not just saying that because she's in the room and you guys can't see this, but she's in the room with us. Yeah. But talk to me a little bit about what can, you know, the audience expect to learn from you in your episode or learn about you. I think that they're going to learn a lot about someone who's authentic and kind of just living my own path, my entire life. I think it's

it is learning a little bit about living a spiritual life and what that means. Got it. Got it. And I kind of overheard the conversation a little bit before we got into the studio talking a little bit about like oras and colors. Yeah. Talk to me a little bit about that because I was, my ears perked up when I heard it

from in here, but I wanted to learn more. What, what can you tell me about that?

So basically every human body is just a small part of who we truly are.

Most people call it a soul. Some people call it an aura. Whatever it is, it's that that presence or that spirit that is outside of our bodies, it takes us into the metaphysical. So there's so many different realms of existence that humans are afraid to believe in. But we're becoming a little more open to it in society. The aura is, it is your soul signature. It's your brand. So to speak in the spiritual realm.

I watched the podcast recently and I kind of agree with this belief system a little bit, but essentially they were positioning that the human body is kind of like, I want you to imagine it as like an antenna. And your antenna is receiving a frequency from somewhere. I don't know where. We don't know. But that frequency is what we refer to as your soul. Your unique identity, your fingerprint on the universe. Yeah, your fingerprint. Exactly. And so like,

if we are the, if the body is the conduit through which the soul expresses itself, then you start to think of the body as just kind of like, oh, this is just my little avatar that I'm controlling in this three dimensional space. Yes. But in reality, I'm actually like an energy frequency that's coming from like the center of the universe. Yes, it's out there. It's out there. It's out there. But I want to talk first about like how you got into what, what started your

spiritual journey. Yeah. So as a small child, I've always had very strong spiritual gifts. And

as a small child, I was, as I said in my interview a little bit, seeing the world through

Very different set of eyes than everybody else around me.

And so I grew up in a very Irish Catholic environment where we don't speak of these things.

So as a child, I was seeing an experiencing spirits. I would see them, you know, everywhere around people. I would see people's orals. I didn't know what it was. Because when you're a little child, you don't know that it's bad yet until other people around you are like, in my case, my family would say, oh, she has such a great imagination. And so when I would tell, you know, somebody like, yeah, I see blue around you or there's there's blacks in and behind you or

whatever it was, it was experiencing a kind of really shut that part of myself out for many years from

like seven until I had my spiritual awakening at, um, I believe I was like 38 when I had the spiritual

awakening. And then that's when it kind of came together. Like, oh, that's what that was all those years.

But it's extremely hard on our society to be who you truly are when you are spiritually gifted and to not be afraid to express yourself in the true essence. Yes, yes. And not everybody has the ability to do that because a lot of people are spiritually gifted. A lot of people experience a lot of different spiritual things, whether it's like seeing what people call ghost or, you know, paranormal stuff, all the way up to like me where I can see people's or as, um, sometimes I can see spirits standing

behind people. But it's becoming more and more prominent now. There's, when I think about even

when I had my spiritual awakening, how unacceptable it was to be that way. And now a lot of people are awakening to realize that there's a lot more of the story and so many facets than any of us

have realized. You know, it's funny. I think of humanity. Like, when you think about the

spectrum of time that we've been around, right? Let's write. Let's throw it back like a couple of few thousand years. Yes. A few thousand years. The days of Christ. The days of Christ. Let's throw it back to then. And over that time period, if you put it out on a timeline, we've just been answering a series of questions that we had about the universe, right? Yeah, what humans think. And you know, it started off with math and science and, you know, our position in the universe, astrology,

astronomy, all of these different things that we had questions about how the universe functioned and we needed answers. And so eventually science and technology and all these things came to a point where we answered a lot of those questions. Yeah. And in a better basic level of understanding, but I feel like as we continue to answer those questions, we open ourselves up more to pursuing these kinds of questions, which are the question of the spirit, question of the soul, question

of, you know, how does my spiritual self, you know, superimpose itself on the reality that I'm

facing, right? So I, to credit your point, I think we've reached that place kind of as a species

where we're allowed to now answer or start to ask these questions and think about them more deeply, right, would you agree? Completely agree. If you go back to the days of Christ, this is what really is intriguing to me, is like, if you go back to the days of Christ, best before anybody follow it, a Bible, or any kind of sacred text, okay? And I'm not saying anything for or against anything. I'm just saying in a general, in a general, they were a very

spiritual back then. Everything revolved around spirituality and it revolved around God or whatever you believed God was, okay? Christ himself, if we really take the human out of it, I believe was like the ultimate avatar. He knew who he was, he understood his spirit and how he was connected to it and what his purpose was and he walked in his purpose and he was beaten for it. He was tortured for that because he was going against the grain of what humans thought it should be.

He was rejected. He was. Yeah. He was. And if you think about that, from that time until now, that's kind of been the vibe on the planet, like follow the way everyone else follows or be rejected. But I think that all of us are understanding, like you said, there's so much, so much deeper than that. And not everybody's meant to follow the same path in their spirit. I believe that each of us are here to evolve at the level our soul is ready to evolve to. And not everybody is meant,

It's, it's not meant to be a cookie cutter society.

spiritually advanced and I come, I'm a soul and I come to this world and I'm a little more spiritually advanced, which I believe that I am. I don't believe I'm better than anybody. I just feel like

like because I've had these strong spiritual gifts and I don't have to make it happen, it just always

has. But I take that for granted because it's normal for me. But for someone else, they might not

maybe can't see you all that. And because they can't conceive of it, that's why there's rejection.

We reject the things we can't understand. Right. And like, we could go down a long rabbit hole. We could spend an hour on this. Yeah. But going back to even like the concept of religion, right? Like going back to even when we were talking about like answering the questions, right? Another thing is God was more prevalent at that time because we had less answers to more questions. And so God was a substitute for answers that we didn't have. We had very limited

understanding of what was going on around us. Yeah. And so we threw the label God at things that we couldn't conceive of. Yes. It's a blanket statement. And now as we've come to a more general understanding of the schematics of the universe and how things sort of function, now we have to

now God is only really thrown at the question of like, why? Yes. Why am I here? Why does this happen?

Why are these things like this versus what is that when when will this happen? You know what I mean? So it's an interesting look at like the why behind the human psychology of creating answers for things outside of yourself. Yes. Right. Yep. If you haven't already kind of guessed, I have a little bit of a background in psychology. So like, I didn't know that. I have a tendency to kind of study down on my dad's a Olympic sports psychologist. Wow. He's worked for the Jamaican Olympic

Association stuff like that. So I've just kind of always had a little bit of an understanding of

how the human brain functions. Yeah. But what I would like to, you know, before we wrap up because you know, we only have so much time. Yeah. Before we wrap up, I want to talk a little bit about just we've talked about spirituality. We've talked about your gifts. How are you giving these gifts out to people in the form of your business? Yeah. So basically, my business is built around my gifts. It's built around what I believe I meant to bring to this world and bring to other people. So

I believe we're in a time and human evolution where everybody needs something. So to everybody is questioning a lot of things and it seems like our society is crumbling and so many more ways. Like the old systems are crumbling and I do believe that people like me that bring that spiritual component to this place, the purpose and it is to help other people understand their own power. And that you, you can live an empowered, happy like no matter what's going

on around you. So a lot of my businesses is helping people find their puzzle pieces then that maybe they're not looking for their entire life. They don't know, they know what they want and they know what they've been through and it's kind of bridging that gap between this is how I was taught to do things and this is what my soul is leading me to do. So bringing my gifts to help other people heal and empower them to understand their journey and kind of take away a little bit of

the human labels because we just like you said with the god thing it's like we just we just have to label things because the human brain wants to understand but sometimes there's a time in a place where it's appropriate and it's necessary to turn this off and let ourselves be the conduit. That's the meditation practice, you know calming and shutting down forward reasoning and shutting down your prefrontal cortex and a couple of different sections of the brain when

you focus just on the breath. If you're able to, if you're like me and you have ADHD, your brain

is firing random thoughts at you a thousand miles an hour and the only way for me to get to

shut that off is and I'd love to get your take on this but for me to shut that off I need to put all of my concentration into just the act of breathing of filling my lungs with air holding it and letting it go and if the only thing, the only thing I'm thinking about is count one two three four one two three four out one two three four. If that's the only thing I'm concentrating on all of a sudden all those other thoughts in my head just kind of go away and now I'm truly in just like a

flow state and then when I let go of that meditation practice the first couple of thoughts to

Float in those are like my most authentic versions of what I think I'm gainin...

but that's just the way that I practice it everybody's different everybody's going to have a

different practice for meditation but what would be your take on that? My take on that is I completely agree with you but I also feel like I know that the more we practice when when we are able to

shut the human brain off for a little bit because I believe there's absolutely a time in a

place when we need our logic we need our reason you're rocking across the street you don't want to be meditative right? We get hit by it. You need your survival instinct to kick in. Right so I think it's appropriate and and there's a time in a place but if we can all learn that there's also a time in a place to shut that down shut the brain down we don't need the human now we're going to let our spiritual self come into our body and kind of lead for a little bit um it heals the body

in so many ways like physically I know myself like I'm living proof that that you can heal your physical body with with all of it but the spiritual component is so important to bring your own spirit your own energy into your body because a lot of us are carrying around energy of other people of other people's thoughts and opinions and so in doing that like you said you're shutting that out but then when you come back from meditation then it's a practice

of keeping that in balance like what's what's important some of these thoughts are important but some of them are not and the ones that aren't important should just flow in like a cloud and

just let it flowed on yep and you should be able to kind of look up like when you're in a calm

state of mind you should kind of be able to look at the thoughts coming in and be like that's dumb right that's not even my thought who who who sent that in here that's that that's not even supposed to be in my inbox right you know what I mean it is it's like empty in your email exactly and it's funny because as you were even bringing it up I thought of like computer systems right right that's what we are we're a computing system and we're computing a constantly a huge amount of

information did you know you make 27,000 individual decisions a day oh wow no I didn't 27,000 decisions from your decision to blink at a certain time your decision to breathe in

or out first your decision to put your right foot in front of your left foot those are decisions

that your brain is making almost in the background like sub-processes that you don't even really think about but it's around 27,000 a day for the average human and why dad and I we both are

of the belief that the person that you are is predicated on the decisions that you make I believe that

yeah every single person you could put the exact like two people born at the exact same time in the exact same hospital to fairly similar parents similar parenting structure those two people are going to make wildly different decisions with the 27,000 that they're given every day isn't that something every single one of us is unique in that regard like those 27,000 decisions that is your fingerprint that is your identity that is your the who of what you of who a person is

I agree with that yeah I agree with that I think it's it's like that is what makes you make choices and decisions that you make will she their limit you or don't in life so yeah that that's it's all interconnected and I know we could we could go yeah we could have this kind I feel like I could have this conversation with you literally all day guys if you're still watching at this point in the show make sure that you check out Becky Joe's episode of Women in Power make sure you check it out make
