to strike Iran in the 6th day of the war, Iran is firing back, Azerbaijan is reporting

to Iranian drones hit near an airport in school, there were numerous blasts in the Gulf

nation of Qatar, and piers Ritzsharlaks says the war is affecting the Gulf region. Iran, saying to the Gulf countries that it strikes there, actually aimed at hitting U.S. military bases and assets there, but the attacks are having this crippling effect on Gulf economies, and they've paralyzed the energy sector. Qatar's Prime Minister, Sheikh Mohammed Al-Thani, told Iran's Foreign Minister yesterday

"Catah prefers diplomacy, but this aggression," he said, "can not go unanswered." Meanwhile, there's also reports of a new attack off the coast of Kuwait, and this would mean an expansion of the area where commercial shipping is also in danger. And piers Ritzsharlaks reporting, a war powers resolution to block further military action

against Iran has failed in the U.S. Senate, the Trump administration strikes continue

without congressional approval, and piers Sam Greenglass reports. The War Powers Act of 1973 gives Congress a way to limit unilateral military action by the President, all but one Senate Democrat voted to stop President Trump's military campaign against Iran, and every Republican except for one voted to let the strikes continue. But that's not the same as Congress officially authorizing the use of force, and without

that approval, the law requires the President to pull back within 60 days. Some Republicans say that if the operation stretches beyond that, or if the President deploys troops in Iran, that could change their calculus. The House is set to vote on a similar resolution on Thursday. It is not expected to pass there either.

Sam Greenglass and PR News Washington. President Trump says he'll soon endorse one of the two Republican candidates for the U.S. Senate in Texas, and come and John Cornan is facing Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, there's set for a runoff election in May. This comes as Texas State Senator James Telereko won his Democratic primary this week,

bolstered by support from Latino voters. But NPR's Ashley Lopez reports, Texas Latino voters are not generally aligned with either party. Counties along Texas's southern border, which have very large Latino populations, were

a key part of James Telereko's defeat of Congresswoman Jasmine Crocket, early turnout

figure show he won about two thirds of the vote in those South Texas counties. He also garnered significant support among Latinos in metropolitan areas. This could be a worry for Texas Republicans who saw significant gains among those voters in 2024, and redrew congressional lines in their favor last year with the expectation that most of these voters would continue to support the party.

For ability was a key part of Telereko's campaign, which is historically one of the most important issues for Latinos, Ashley Lopez and B.R. News. On Wall Street in pre-market trading, down futures are falling. This is NPR. A federal judge's ruled the Trump administration has to refund companies that paid President

Trump's tariffs last year. The U.S. Supreme Court has struck down some of the tariffs saying Trump exceeded his authority. On Judge Richard Eaton of the U.S. Court of International Trade says he will hear cases from companies seeking the refunds.

President Trump has a goal of reaching 1 million apprenticeships in the U.S.

The Labor Department has now tapped the state of Arkansas to run a $36 million incentive fund, and beer's Andrea Shoe reports. Arkansas is a small state, but it has seen big growth in apprenticeships in recent years. That's the model where you can earn wages and learn a new trade at the same time. Now the state is running an incentive program to encourage manufacturers across the country

to create new apprenticeships. Manufacturers can get up to $3,500 for every new registered apprenticeship they create, meaning it meets government standards. The incentive goes to the employer once the apprentice passes the 90-day mark. Long-time boosters of apprenticeships say their glad the Trump administration is championing

the model. But say the investments are too modest. The Trump administration says it is in the process of creating more incentive programs

to spur apprenticeship growth and other key sectors and reassure and PR news.
