- Life from NPR News and Washington, I'm Windsor-Johnston.

President Trump says US and Israeli air strikes

have devastated Iran's military. - We're doing very well in Iran.

You see the result and it's been amazing.

We've knocked out 42 Navy ships, some of them very large in three days. That was the end of the Navy, we knocked out their Air Force, we knocked out their communications and all telecommunications is gone. - Speaking before a summit with Latin American leaders this morning,

Trump also claimed Iran had nuclear weapons and had done the world a favor. Earlier in a post on social media, Trump said Iran will be hit hard today with parts of the country under consideration

for "complete destruction and certain death." The president also said there will be no deal with Tehran except unconditional surrender. The president has invited Latin American leaders to take part in the security summit near Miami

and PR's Franco-Radonia's reports, the meetings are part of the administration's efforts to reassert US dominance in the region.

- The White House says the leaders of 12 countries

will be attending including Argentina, Bolivia, and Ecuador, but two of the largest economies Brazil and Mexico are not expected to attend. Benjamin Gideon managed to the South America portfolio in the Obama administration.

He said it's a big deal that it's even happening, considering the US initiated war against Iran.

- The expectation is always the Latin American will be bumped

by a more prominent foreign policy crisis. - The White House says those attending will be signing a joint security declaration that encourages military force against drug cartels. The US military just announced a joint operation

with Ecuador to fight quote-designated terrorist organizations. Franco-Radonia's NPR News, the White House. - A large storm system is making its way across parts of the Central U.S. and a title of member station WMUK reports

a suspected tornado in southern Michigan

has killed at least four people in injured 12 others. - On Friday afternoon, the National Weather Service issued severe storm and tornado warnings throughout southern Michigan. Storms continued to move east later in the afternoon

with local government officials reporting severe damage to structures and trees. Later in the evening and into the night, the NWS continued to issue severe storm and tornado warnings in Oklahoma, Missouri, and Arkansas.

It's part of a storm system across the Central U.S. that's expected to produce severe weather and possible tornadoes throughout the weekend. For NPR News, I'm Anna Spital in Kalamazoo. - Search and rescue operations are underway

in parts of Oklahoma after a tornado touched down killing at least two people. This is NPR. The federal judge says the Trump administration

must begin steps toward issuing more than $100 billion

in tariff refunds. The ruling follows a decision declaring the administration's earlier duties illegal. The judge has now given the government more time to comply. Netflix says its acquired actor Ben Affleck's AI-powered

filmmaking tool company. NPR's Chloe Valtman reports this comes just over a week since the streamer pulled out of the deal to acquire Warner Brothers. - In a video accompanying Netflix's announcement,

Ben Affleck says his company Interpositive's technology does not enable filmmakers to build scenes from scratch using prompts. It allows them to build their own AI models based on the scenes they've already shot.

- You can use your own model to remove the wires on stunts. Refrain the shot. Get a shot you missed. Sheep the lighting and hands the backgrounds. - In an email to NPR,

I at see the main union supporting Hollywood's technical workers said it does not comment on mergers and acquisitions. This is just the latest agreement the Oscar winning filmmaker has struck with Netflix. Earlier this week, Affleck and Matt Damon's production company

has signed a major partnership with the streamer, Chloe Valtman MP on news. - A large celebration of the life of civil rights leader Jesse Jackson was held in Chicago on Friday. Thousands of people gathered at a church on the city

south side, including three former presidents, Barack Obama, Bill Clinton and Joe Biden. Jackson died in February. He was 84 years old. I'm Mr. Johnson and PR news in Washington.
