NPR is confirmed video that shows what appears to be a U.S. missile slamming into a compound

in Iran. That's where a girl's school was struck at the start of the war. More than 170 people were killed, NPR's Jeff Brumfield reports President Trump is blaming Iran. 7 second video was posted by Meher News, a semi-efficient Iranian news agency.

It shows what experts told NPR is likely a U.S. Tomahawk cruise missile that slams into

an Iranian Revolutionary Guard compound, a school that was once part of that compound was

also struck, killing around 175 students and staff. Speaking on Air Force One Saturday, President Trump said he believed Iran was behind the school blast. But NPR's analysis suggests a highly accurate strike hit seven buildings on the compound, including the school.

The Pentagon says the investigation continues. Jeff Brumfield and P.R. News. The war in Iran continues to choke off crude oil supplies to the rest of the world. The motoring group AAA says U.S. gas prices have jumped nearly 50 cents to $3.48 gallon.

Clay Siegel is with the Center for Strategic and International Studies.

He says all regions lose when crude oil is limited. The world just has like one big pool of oil supply. So if the supply to Asia is cut, then supply from other regions is going to divert there. It's going to flow there because it's going to follow the market clearing prices.

And so we'll have less over here and that's how the market rebalances.

He spoke to NPR's morning edition. U.S. air travelers are seeing long wait times that airport security checkpoints. The Department of Homeland Security remains partially shut down affecting the transportation security administration. NPR's Matt Bloomberg reports from New Orleans that is causing TSA staffing problems at major

airports. Security lines snaked out of the terminal and into the parking garage at New Orleans, Louis Armstrong International Airport over the weekend. The city's mayor, Helena Moreno posted a video to social media warning travelers to get to the airport three to four hours early.

We've got really, really long lines at the airport. TSA agents didn't receive a paycheck.

So you have a lot of the workforce that has called in sick.

Houston, Charlotte, and Atlanta have also warned passengers about a spike in callouts. As Democrats and the White House remained divided on Department of Homeland Security funding and how to reform its immigration enforcement practices. Matt Bloomberg and PR news, New Orleans, you're listening to NPR news. President Trump says he is refusing to sign any legislation into law until he gets a

bill on voting. It's called the Save America Act. This requires people to prove their American citizens before they can vote. Trump's declaration suggests if Congress reaches a compromise and passes a spending bill for the Department of Homeland Security, Trump might not sign the measure immediately.

Officials in New York City are offering new details about what they're describing as an attempted bomb attack during a protest over the weekend. No one was injured. And PR's Brian Man reports the incidents being investigated as a possible terror attack. Anti-Muslim protesters led by a far-right activist gathered outside Mayor Zoran Mamdoni's

residence Saturday, Mamdoni is the city's first Muslim mayor to counter protesters identified

as a mere ballot and Abraham Cayumi both from Pennsylvania then allegedly through explosive devices into the crowd to press conference and YPD commissioner Jessica Tish said the devices were made with an explosive chemical widely used by international bomb makers. This is being investigated as an act of ISIS-inspired terrorism. A third device was diffused nearby an investigation led by the FBI is now underway in New

York and Pennsylvania, Mayor Mamdoni condemned the attempted attack and praised police who responded. Brian Man and PR News, New York.
