Jalal was convicted in 2017 of attempting to plot an Islamic state inspired terrorist attack inside the U.S., he was sentenced to 10 years but was released in 2024. It's not clear what prompted this latest attack, the university has canceled classes through Friday, for MPR News. I'm Steve Walsh.

Oil prices continue to surge because of the war in Iran and gasoline prices in the U.S. have become a political headache for President Trump and Pierce Tamar Keith reports it's an economic indicator people track closely.
