says the Israeli military has killed two senior Iranian officials.

They're the head of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, and the commander of Iran's

paramilitary "beseed forces," and, as Daniel Esteran has more, from Tel Aviv. Iran did not immediately confirm the killings, but these would be the highest profile assassinations

in Iran since Israel killed Iran's Supreme Leader and other top leadership on the first

day of the war. Defense Minister Israel Katz says Israel killed a Lila Rijani, head of the Supreme National Security Council and public policy adviser to the Supreme Leader. And Israeli military officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, told reporters the military believes Lila Rijani was killed but is awaiting confirmation.

The Israeli official described Lila Rijani as Iran's de facto leader directing Iran's attacks throughout the region. Israel's military is confirming the death of Golanza Soleimani, commander of the beseed forces, which were responsible for violently suppressing street protests against the Iranian government earlier this year.

A federal judge is blocked in important parts of the Trump administration's changes
