Live from NPR News in Washington, I'm Windsor-Johnston.

High-level talks are underway in Islamabad as negotiators for Washington and Tehran work to stabilize a fragile two-week ceasefire to end the war in Iran. NPR's Anusha Mather reports Vice President Jady Vance is leading the U.S. delegation as the conflict enters its seventh week. Trump says the U.S. has already weakened Iran's military, and the top priority is making

sure the country has no nuclear weapon, but he promised the three to four mous will be reopened.

"The straightest they call it, and I think it's going to go pretty quickly, and if it

doesn't, we'll be able to finish it off one way or the other, it's going well." Vance is with special envoy Steve Wittkov, and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, as to whether they'd achieve all the goals at the talks, Trump sounded less bullish. "They've been talking for 47 years, with other presidents, and we're not doing much talking."

Trump made the remarks before heading to Charlottesville, Virginia, for a round-table dinner for the Super PAC MAGA INC. Anusha Mather and PR News, The White House.

NASA is celebrating the completion of the first human moon mission in more than 50 years.

The Arnandist to Spacecraft, and its four-person cruise, flashed down Friday night off the coast of Southern California, and PR's no-green-filled-boys reports, a recovery ship was waiting nearby.

NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman, who went to space twice as a private astronaut, was on

the ship with workers from the U.S. Navy and NASA. "And what do you guys think we just brought some astronauts back from the moon, huh?" "It was the first time that the U.S. Navy and NASA had teamed up for a spacecraft recovery since the end of the Apollo Lunar Program in 1972." Meanwhile, in Houston, flight controllers crowded into mission control, cheering and clapping

as a video feed showed the astronauts emerging from the capsule, as it floated in the Pacific. Nell Greenfield, Voice, and PR News. "Democratic congressmen, Eric Swallwell, who's facing allegations of sexual assault as he campaigns for Governor of California, a former staffer claims he assaulted her on two

occasions when she was too intoxicated to consent," Swallwell responded to the accusations on Friday.

"I do not suggest to you in any way that I'm perfect or that I'm a saint.

I have certainly made mistakes in judgment in my past, but those mistakes are between me and my wife, and to her I apologize deeply for putting her in this position." Other women have accused the congressmen of inappropriate behavior and unwanted messages, Swallwell is denying all allegations calling them absolutely false and politically motivated. Top Democrats and labor groups are withdrawing support and urging him to drop out of the race,

Swallwell says he plans to stay and fight the allegations. This is NPR News. The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is underway near Palm Springs, California, and PRs Isabella Gomez, Sarmeanto, reports the musicians headlining the festival this year, includes Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, and Carol Jean.

More than 100 artists will perform at Coachella this weekend and next. The Southern California Music Festival, which has been running for more than 25 years, is one of the hottest tickets of the festival season. This year, many believers, fans of the pop star Justin Bieber, are sure to tune in.

Saturday night will mark his first major concerts in the cancellation of his Justice Tour in 2022.

There are other big names in store too. Rockstar Jack White was a last-minute addition to the lineup. The English indie band, The XX, is reuniting this year for the first time since 2018. And the Colombian star Carol G will make history on Sunday night as the first Latina to ever headline the festival.

Isabella Gomez, Sarmeanto, and PR News. Greece is moving to band social media use for children under the age of 15. The law is set to take effect on January 1st, targeting platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. The Prime Minister announced the plan directly to young people online saying it's meant to

protect them from rising anxiety, stress, and sleep problems linked to screen time.

Australia passed a similar band in December, becoming the first country

to restrict social media for kids under 16. This is NPR. Listen to NPR's pop culture happy hour by finding us wherever you get your podcasts.
