"Lie from NPR News in Washington, I'm Lakshmi Singh.

The head of the International Energy Agency says more than 80 energy facilities across

the Middle East have been hit since the U.S. and Israel waged war against Iran about

a month and a half ago. NPR's Abetrawe reports the top IEA official warned it could take up to two years to repair the damage. The International Energy Agency's chief Feta Haberol told an audience at the Atlantic Council that more than 80 oil and gas fields, refineries and energy terminals were damaged

in six weeks of war.

His comments come as the Qatar-based L.J.R.A. channel released footage for the first time

of Iran's March missile attack on the Russ LaFan gas complex in Qatar and damaged the L.A.D. air base where some 10,000 U.S. troops were stationed before the war. Iran's state news agency meanwhile says Iran wants financial compensation from four Gulf Arab states and Jordan for hosting U.S. troops that attacked it during the war.

Some Arab Gulf states say it's Iran that should pay for region-wide damage.

Able Troy and Pair News, Dubai. Two members of Congress say they will resign following allegations of sexual misconduct. Texas Republican Congressmen Tony Gonzalez and California Democratic Congressmen Eric Swallwell, who has been accused by several women. Swallwell has already announced that he is suspending his campaign for California Governor.

NPR's Elena Moore reports on an ongoing debating Congress about how to hold lawmakers accountable.

NPR has not independently verified the allegations against Swallwell, which were first reported

by the San Francisco Chronicle and CNN. And Swallwell has forcedfully denied them. Still it sparked almost immediate political backlash, especially as Swallwell is one of a handful of members facing controversy right now.

For weeks, there have also been calls for Texas Republican Congressmen Tony Gonzalez

to resign over a past affair with a staffer who later died by suicide. Gonzalez has since said he will not run for the election. But shortly after Swallwell announced he was resigning, Gonzalez said in a statement that he planned to file his retirement from office, Elena Moore and Pair News. The Federal Aviation Administration is seeking to limit flights at Chicago's O'Hare International

Airport to help prevent flight delays during the busy summer travel season. There's NPR's Joel Rose. American and United are locked in a fight over market share at O'Hare Airport, both airlines have been aggressively adding flights at the airport where they each have a hub. Maybe too many flights, according to the FAA, regulators are moving to cap flights at O'Hare

this summer to prevent gridlock at the airport, which is now the busiest in the US in terms of take-offs and landings. The airlines have supported the FAA's plan, at least publicly, but the Chicago Department of Aviation, which operates the airport, argues that O'Hare's recent expansion has reduced delays and increased its operating capacity, Joel Rose and PR News.

The Dow is up 324 points. It's NPR News. More than 1,000 Hollywood figures have signed a letter opposing the merger of Paramount and Warner Brothers' Discovery, and Pierre's Mandalay Thelbatko says the proposed deal is worth $110 billion.

The letter was signed by Hollywood directors and actors, among them J.J. Abramson didn't even move, Brian Cranston, Glenn Close, and Jane Fonda.

As founder of the relaunched committee for the first amendment, Fonda has posted videos

opposing the deal by media mogul David Ellison, backed by his billionaire father Larry Ellison. The idea of the whole entertainment industry being run by one company. That doesn't seem good. The letter argues the deal would not only consolidate the media, it would shrink competition

independence and diversity of the entertainment industry. In a response, Paramount pictures reiterates its support of talent and promises to release a minimum of 30 feature films a year with both theatrical runs. Mandalay Thelbatko and PR News. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is out with its final list of inductees announced last night

on American Idol, the class of 2026 will include the late Luther Vendoross and Oasis. There among 18 people being recognized for their indelible influence on music. I'm Lakshmi Singh and PR News.
