It remains unclear if the U.S. and Iran can agree to a deal to end the war before a two-week
ceasefire expires next week.
“Speaking to reporters yesterday at the White House, President Trump said he remains optimistic”
a deal will get done. "We've got to have no nuclear weapons, and if we do that's a big factor, and they're willing to do things today that they weren't willing to do two months ago." It's also unclear if officials from the U.S. and Iran will meet again for another round of negotiations before the ceasefire expires.

As NPR's Meg Anderson reports, the officer is charged with two counts of second-degree assault,
stemming from ISIS immigration enforcement efforts in the state. The complaint identifies the ice officer as Gregory Danell Morgan Jr., according to the complaint in February, the two alleged victims say they saw Morgan driving an unmarked SUV along the shoulder of a highway. The victim say they pulled over to block the car, not knowing it was a federal officer,
but eventually pulled back into the lane. The complaint alleges that Morgan then sped up, rolled down his window and pointed his gun at the victims. During a voluntary interview, Morgan told state investigators he feared for his safety.
“Anapent County Attorney Mary Murriardi says these charges are an important milestone”
in the state's efforts to seek accountability. There is now a nationwide warrant out for Morgan's arrest. Ice did not respond to an NPR request for comment. Meg Anderson and Pérenees. Wall Street futures are hired this morning.
