Iran says he is fully reopened the straight-of-four moves to commercial vessels, but
“it's threatening to close the straight once again if the U.S. continues its blockade of Iran”
and ships and ports." President Trump said Friday that the peace deal with Iran is almost complete, and speaking Friday and in the event by the conservative group turning point U.S.A. he continued to criticize NATO for not helping militarily during the fighting with Iran. "I received a call from NATO asking if we would like some help."
"Thank you very much NATO, and I told them I would have liked your help two months ago, but now I really don't want your help anymore." French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Kier's starmur are co-hosting in an international meeting in Paris focused on reopening the straight-of-four moves. The meeting will not include representatives from the U.S.-Israel or Iran, as
empires Fatima Al-Qasab reports from London. "Downing Street has said planning is underway to deploy the British military to the straight as soon as conditions allow, but they stress the mission will be strictly defensive and not a contribution to the U.S. and Israeli-led war."
“France's Macron has similarly reiterated that this would be a defensive operation.”

Early voting in Virginia and Saturday for a special election that could allow Democrats to create four more favorable congressional seats, as Empires Ashley Lopez reports. This is connected to a nationwide redistricting battle, started by President Trump last year. Virginia is one of several states that has an independent redistricting commission, so voters
would need to approve a measure allowing state lawmakers to circumvent the commission in order to create new seats that favor Democrats. Poling shows that voters in the Commonwealth narrowly approve of the measure, but both parties have been spending millions of dollars in a race that could potentially be quite close.
“If passed Virginia would be the latest state to redraw its congressional line to head”
of the mid-terms, this battle started last year when President Trump asked Texas Republicans to create five more seats that favor Republicans in the state. Since then, several states have changed their maps. Ashley Lopez and P.R. News.

babies than previously shown. NPR's Maria Godoy has more. The study comes from the U.K. Health Security Agency, where researchers looked at outcomes for some 289,000 babies born between September 2024 and March 2025.
That was the first season that the U.K. offered free RSV vaccines to all pregnant women in
their third trimester. That maternal vaccination dramatically cut the risk that babies ended up hospitalized says study author Matt Wilson. What we found is that as long as there is at least two weeks between vaccination and birth, we get this kind of 80% effect, 80% reduction.
Clinical trials had shown the shot to be about 70% effective. The research was presented at the meeting of the European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, Maria Godoy, and Pyreneus. The U.S. Coast Guard is continuing its search at this hour for a boat off the coast of Guam, the cargo vessel Mariana was disabled by Typhoon Sinlaku.
The crew had notified the Coast Guard on Wednesday that it had lost its starboard engine. The boat has six crew members. Former angels outfielder Garrett Anderson, his daddy, was 53 years old during his time with the team.
He became the career hits leader for the angels and helped to lead the team to its only world series title. The team announced his death on Friday, but did not say where or what the cause was. Anderson was a three-time American League All-Star from 2020 to 2025. This is NPR News.
