Live from NPR News in Washington, I'm Rylan Barton.

The United Kingdom's King Charles acknowledged times of great uncertainty while addressing Congress today.

His visit is intended to emphasize that the bond between the UK and U.S. can withstand political

turmoil and appears a war on frayer reports. The King is typically a political, but he have a very political speech to Congress today. I mean, my phone has been blowing up with British friends cheering on their King for taking Trump to task, seemingly on top of after-topic, here's part of what he said.

With a spirit of 1776 in our minds, we can perhaps agree that we do not always agree.

You know, while Trump has talked about Christian values, the King emphasized interfaith values and diversity, also talked about the rise of fascism in the 1930s, he talked about the checks on executive power, here's a little more. America's words carry weight and meaning as they have since independence. The actions of this great nation matter even more.

NPR has learned frayer reporting, Elon Musk took the stand today in his lawsuit against open AI and its CEO, Sam Altman, Musk argues that the AI company has effectively abandoned its not-for-profit founding principles and wants Altman out NPR's John Ruich reports. The case hinges on whether Open AI's founding mission of creating AI as a non-profit for the benefit of humanity has been lost.

Musk helped found the company a decade ago, but he left in 2018 amid disagreements

with Altman and others about who would run a for-profit arm of the company that would

be set up to raise money.

Musk testified about his role early on, he says he recruited a key AI researcher and used

his contacts at Microsoft and Nvidia to get access to computing power, and he says he wasn't opposed to setting up a for-profit entity, but he wanted to control of it. In an opening statement, Open AI's lead lawyer said the other founders were not okay with one person having control. Musk left, launched a competitor, XAI, and then sued.

The trial is set to run for several more weeks, John Ruich and PR News Oakland, California. Some Americans may soon have the image of President Trump in their passports and appears Michelle Kalman reports. He department spokesperson Tommy Piggett says the U.S. is releasing a limited edition U.S. passport to commemorate America's 250th anniversary in July.

He says in a written statement that the passports will feature in his words, customized artwork and enhanced imagery while maintaining the same security features. The new designs will be available only at the Washington Passport Agency, and until they run out, the State Department posted a picture of one page with Trump's formal portrait over the Declaration of Independence.

It also includes his signature in gold lettering. Michelle Kalman and PR News, the United Nations. From Washington, you're listening to NPR News. Much of Molly is still reeling from the largest coordinated attack in more than a decade

by militants, including an al-Qaeda affiliate, the militants have taken over a key city

and have announced a blockade of the capital, the offensive threatens to worsen a security crisis in West Africa's Sahel already one of the world's deadliest regions, as NPR's dual-bright reports. The attacks this weekend were carried out by the Al-Qaeda linked J&IM group and twilight separatist rebels.

The group's launch and offensive that experts say is unprecedented, on at least six cities, including the capital of Bamaqul. The also attacked at town, just north of the capital, when the military joins our sites, Canadian Maya's Defense Minister, and injuring Amada's Senior Government official, the whereabouts of Maya's military leader, Asimigliza, is unknown.

From our Russian mercenaries, now embedded in our Russian Defense Forces are also fighting alongside Maya's army. On Tuesday, Russia's Defense Ministry said about 12,000 militants attempted a coup that it helped repel. Jewelbright, MP on News Lakers.

Middle school students in Mississippi kept their school bus from crashing after their driver passed out on a four-lane highway. The driver had an asthma attack in the bus began to swarve. One student grabbed the wheel while another hit the brakes. Another student called for help, one gave the driver her medicine and another also helped

the driver while reporting the incident to the district. The students were honored at a rally and will be treated to a lunch field trip next week. Their principal hailed their courage and the driver has recovered. Wall Street's record setting rally halt to dent it today, this is NPR News from Washington.
