Now Iran's state-run news agency insists the first clause in the agreement says a tax

The drop in single family starts was less than 2%. Building permits, which are seen as a guide to future construction, were down less than 1%. A survey by the National Association of Homebuilders shows Builders' confidence remains weak, rising mortgage rates are not helping with the housing slump.

Authorities at Edwards Air Force Base in California say eight people were killed when a B-52 plane crashed yesterday. It was taking off no one survived that were both uniformed officers and civilians aboard. There is no word on what caused the crash. California governor Gavin Newsom says he's being investigated by the Justice Department.
From Member Station KQED, Guy Marcerati reports, Newsom says the probe is in response to his opposition to President Trump. In a video release Monday, Newsom says federal agents have contacted friends and demanded records. Donald Trump isn't just coming after me because of my mean tweets.
He's coming after me because I'm considering running for president. The governor's office says federal agents are also looking into the work of Newsom's wife, filmmaker Jennifer Cable Newsom. The focus of the investigation is not yet clear. Newsom's office has filed a freedom of information request with the Department of Justice
regarding the probe. The Justice Department did not immediately respond to requests for comment. For MPR News, I'm Guy Marcerati in San Jose. A little more than a week ago, President Trump declared all renovation work had been finished. The reflecting pool on the national mall, that's near the Lincoln Memorial.
But parts of the reflecting pool, which Trump boasted would be clean, beautiful, and blue, are now green. That's because the pool has algae blooms in it. Workers have been trying to clear the algae ahead of July 4th celebrations. It's not clear if that mitigation will work.
