"Live from MPR News on Giles Snyder, primary voters went to the polls Tuesday...

states with the most closely watched contest in New York City," where Democratic voters

advanced to November a slate of congressional candidates endorsed by Mayor Sirom Bombdani,

the three candidates swept their primary elections in a major blow for the Democratic establishment. In South Carolina, Alan Wilson is thanking President Trump for his late endorsement and the Republican primary runoffer governor. "I also want to give a shout out to President Trump." "I was honored to receive his endorsement."

After initially endorsing Wilson's primary opponent, Lieutenant Governor Pamela Vett, President Trump endorsed both candidates on Friday saying, "With either one you can't go wrong," Wilson is currently South Carolina's attorney general. Congress has directed President Trump to remove U.S. armed forces from hostility against Iran, the Senate joined the House to his day approving a war power's resolution

on a vote of 50 to 48. The resolution lacks a force of law and does not need to be signed by the President, but it reflects growing concerns in the Republican-like Congress about the war in Trump's interim deal to end it, here's Imperial Zerak McDaniel.

Congress has the power to declare war and regulate military conflict.

It hasn't been able to do that, though, for the U.S. is really war against Iran. The Trump administration has an asked for approval or a declaration of war in contravention of the law. This resolution is not legally binding and not likely to change President Trump's behavior, but the message is clear.

A majority of lawmakers, including a handful of Republicans, disapprove of the Iran war. As does a large majority of the American public. This vote comes as Vice President Vance's hashing out the details of an agreement to end the war, the initial terms of which have been roundly rebuked by members of both parties. Eric McDaniel and Pyreneus Washington.

And Trump says he has instructed the Justice Department to investigate oil companies, saying in a social media post that they are not dropping their price at the pump in line with the falling price of crude. And that customers are being gouged. The price of print crude, the international standard currently around $75 barrel.

Do photos confirm President Trump's name has been removed from the Kennedy Center, a judge ordered the name, being removed earlier this month.

And Pyre's rank length at reports on the first visual evidence that his name has been

taken down. The photo showed a bear marble wall where President Trump's name appeared above John F. Kennedy's. The photos were taken from inside the tarps and scaffolding the blanket of Assad. The cloaked structure has blocked the public from witnessing the process of stripping off Trump's name.

The Kennedy Center said the tarps will remain up so that crews can maintain the marble. But many observers don't buy it. They insist the tarps were hung to spare Trump humiliation. One's off the arts, an active is group which provided the photos, says they're proof that "the power of the people is winning."

You're listening to MPR news. U.S. Supreme Court has barred a former Louisiana N made from suing prison guards who cut his dreadlocks and violation of his rostophari religious beliefs in a six to three decision that justices ruled Tuesday against Daemon Landor, upholding a lower court ruling that the federal law at issue cannot be used to hold financially responsible, those individuals

who violate inmates' rights. A record breaking heat waves sweeping across Europe has turned deadly. Rebecca Rossman has more from France where officials say 40 people have drowned in recent days as they sought relief from the extreme heat. Most of the victims were minors who were swimming on supervised.

French Prime Minister Sebastian Le Colneux released the sobering figures after a crisis meeting on the unprecedented heat wave now in its seventh day. France recorded its hottest day on record since 1947 with temperature soaring up to 112 degrees Fahrenheit in parts of the country. Fewer than a quarter of French households have air conditioning in Paris, the Louvre Museum

and Eiffel Tower closed early because of the heat. Temperatures aren't expected to break until the weekend. For MPR News, I'm Rebecca Rossman in Paris. As she owner Ronaldo is now the only player to score in six different World Cup tournaments. He made history Tuesday during Portugal's five-nil win over his backest and scoring in the

six-minute of the match and then again in the 39th minute. Meanwhile, England and Ghana played to a scoreless draw to his day leaving both looking head to their next match to secure a spot in the knockout round. This is MPR News. This is our glass.
