President Trump is defending his $1.1 billion in crypto earnings last year.

NPR's Frank Ordonias has more on the Republican leaders' latest financial disclosures.

according to a new poll, more from NPR's John Ruich. The poll from the Pew Research Center showed broad support for more restrictions on social media use by minors, cutting across political and demographic lines. 56% of poll respondents supported and under 16 social media banned versus 21% who opposed it.

There was even stronger support for other checks on kids using social media, including companies requiring parental consent to create accounts, age verification, and time limits for use. News said support for those three items grew from its last poll in 2023. Australia, the UK, and a handful of other countries have already moved to curtail access to social media by minors, John Ruich and PR news.

Today marks the official opening of a program that allows federal dollars for short-term workforce training, more from NPR's Alyssa Net Warning. To qualify, programs have to be in an in-demand field demonstrate high earnings and be the right-length between eight and 14 weeks and between 150 and 599 instructional hours. But for lots of community colleges, existing workforce training programs don't fit these

narrow qualifications just yet. Carrie Worksmith oversees federal policy at the Association of Community College Trustees.

I think the reality that setting in is that July 1 is not a flood date, it is a start point
