U.S. Central Command says the U.S. military has launched new strikes against Iran's

the Middle East, raising fears of a wider war, Kuwait, Jordan, and Bahrain also activated defenses against Iranian drones and missiles. NPR's Quill Lawrence reports." NPR then comes set a U.S. service member in northern Iraq died on Saturday during an attempt to safely destroy unexploded ordnance from an Iranian drone that had been shot down.
A second service member sustained minor injuries. Iran has been targeting U.S. troops on bases around the region, including Kurdish-controlled areas in northern Iraq and bases in Jordan, where Iranian drones and missiles breached U.S. air defenses on Friday. The U.S. has been bombarding Iran for over a week, hitting bridges in infrastructure, as well
as purely military targets.
After a shaky ceasefire, mostly held since April, the war appears to be escalating.

“The Food and Drug Administration is walking back and earlier report that lettuce supplied”
to Taco Bell restaurants by Taylor Farms of Mexico was the source of a cyclist spora infection that is sickened hundreds of people in the Midwest who wait lettuce from Taco Bell. The FDA Sunday night said it, "Reviewed the test results from the lettuce samples and concluded it was not the cause of the contamination which causes extreme digestive related issues. Taylor Farms says they've been informed by the FDA, they've made a mistake, and the company
has been issued in apology." Because of the contamination, some people say they're taking extra precautions when it comes to vegetables, Maggie Sparling is in Raleigh, North Carolina. "We've really just started washing our vegetables in like vinegar, water, and just trying to be a little bit more cognizant."
