He says that as the war with Iran enters its six-month, there's a growing concern in Congress about just how the war is going and appears Eric McDaniel has more. Representative Turner is the former head of the House Intel Committee.
He says Iran is not a reliable negotiating partner and can't be trusted with a nuclear weapon. Van Holland, a Maryland Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, notes the war has lasted much longer than the country was promised at the expense of kitchen table issues. German authorities say the suspect to drove a vehicle into a crowd near Berlin's annual pride event is dead after shots were fired during a confrontation. Esmane Nicholson has more in that story. Police shot and killed 21-year-old Abdul Balout in a garden allotment on the outskirts of Berlin on Sunday evening.
Prosecutors say evidence was mounting to suggest the incident, which killed one and injured at least 29 others, was an Islamist terror attack. Balout, a German national with Lebanese heritage, attempted to join Islamic State Group on a trip to Lebanon last year in May, a court in Berlin convicted Balout of preparing a serious act of violence and handed down a suspended sentence.
He had been released while prosecutors appealed. And you're listening to NPR news. Two suspects are now in custody, following a shooting in Seattle Sunday night that killed two people and injured five others. Officials say the shooting occurred during a food festival near the space needle.
Hospital spokesperson Susan Gregg says they're not getting releasing information on those injured. Let the families, you know, have time and come to grips with what they're dealing with, so I want to honor their privacy and just get out of the basic information. Police are asking residents to avoid the area.
The tour to France ended Sunday with the Slovenian cyclist taking home his fifth title in the famous race, but the final stage of the race was shortened, NPR's Shanley Stuster has more. Tate Pogachea won his fifth tour to France on Sunday, completing the race in just under 74 hours.
He crossed the finish line of the final stage of the race just before 8 o'clock PM local time. Pogachea thanked his fans and supporters after the race.
He also said the win feels incredible.

Security and police for the event were reassigned to assist with wildfires raging in the southwest portion of the country.
