It's primary night in several states, Democrats are closely watching the primary for
“U.S. Senate in Michigan, where progressive Abdul El Sayed is facing Congresswoman Haley”
Stevens in Missouri. Democratic Congressman Wesley Bell has won a rematch in the primary against former Congresswoman Cory Bush, according to a race call from the Associated Press. Bell is a former St. Louis County prosecutor and was backed by the political group affiliated with the pro Israel Group, a pack.
The Iran War has seriously depleted U.S. missile stockpiles, as NPR's Tom Bowman explains that's raising concerns not just in this war, but also for future conflicts. These attack missiles would be key in any conflict with China, the likelihood of that happening now is low. U.S. officials say China won't have the ability to assault Taiwan until next year, and that's
capability. It doesn't mean they'll do it. But if they do, then the rule for the U.S. what will that be? And what are the threats to U.S. forces in the region?

like the Patriot, and that stockpile has dropped quite a bit. NPR's Tom Bowman reporting, the Trump administration is revoking the visa for Brazil's ambassador to the U.S., but since it can be restored, if Brazil agrees to accept President Trump's ambassador to the country. NPR's Michelle Kalman has more on a tit for tat diplomatic dispute.
The Trump administration says Brazil has been holding up the formal approval of the administration's nominee to be ambassador, Florida State Representative Daniel Perez. A top state department official tells reporters that the Brazilians are signaling that they will delay this until after elections in October. President Luis Ignacio Lula de Silva recently accused the U.S. of trying to meddle in those
elections, and he denied visa requests for two state department officials. The Department says those two were planning to do, quote, "Routine common work," adding the U.S. regrets the current tensions with Brazil, but will insist on reciprocity. Michelle Kalman and PR News, the State Department.
“The Maryland legislature has taken a step toward drawing new congressional maps amid the”
nationwide partisan redistricting push, WIPR's Sarah Petroitch reports. Maryland's Constitution requires legislative districts to be compact and to consider the boundaries of political subdivisions. Democratic state lawmakers have advanced an amendment to ensure those requirements only apply to state legislative districts not congressional ones.
This could open the door for the legislature's Democratic Supermajority to effectively out-sustate sole Republican congressmen in 2028. The Constitutional Amendment still needs to go before Maryland voters and the upcoming November election. If approved, Maryland could be poised to enter the nationwide redistricting arms race
that President Trump started last summer after calling on Texas to redraw its congressional map to favor Republicans. For NPR News, I'm Sarah Petroitch in Annapolis. This is NPR. Missouri voters rejected a proposal to make it more difficult to amend the state constitution
according to a race call from the Associated Press. The Republican legislature referred the measure to the ballot after voters and recent years narrowly passed several controversial amendments through citizen initiatives in training abortion rights, legalizing recreational marijuana and expanding Medicaid coverage.
Rivians, new East Coast headquarters just opened in Atlanta not far from a multi-billion-dollar
manufacturing facility it's building, W.A.B.E.'s Marlin Hyde reports the new office will support the company's Robo Taxi Partnership. The California-based automaker is expanding its footprint in the Southeast with a new 500-person office space in Atlanta. After a year of financial turmoil, Rivian got a booths from a federal loan and partnerships
with Volkswagen and Uber. Rivian CFO, Klemik Dunner, said the new HQ will help the EV maker keep its supply chain local and avoid additional costs from tariffs. One of the core benefits of being a here in Georgia in our as part of our site selection process was how rich the supply base is already in close proximity to the San Springs North
Site. Rivian will use the Georgia Manufacturing Plan to build autonomous Robo Taxi for Uber. Our NPR news are Marlin Hyde and Atlanta.
