Primary voters in five states went to the polls Tuesday helping to shape the November mid-term elections. The latest results are from Washington State, according to an AP race call voters have advanced incumbent progressive congresswoman Pramila Jaya Paul.
“But in a key race in Missouri, progressive Democrat Cory Bush lost her bid to return”
to Congress. In a fiery speech to supporters, she denounced the provisional APAC group for it's spending in the race and bound to fight on. Bush lost her primary race to incumbent congressman Wesley Bell in a rematch of 2024. A marquee race that has yet to be called is for an open-signancy in Michigan.
The outcome is viewed as a key test to the Democratic Party's direction heading into November. Southern California, the man has been arrested after allegedly posing a possible threat to President Trump. Steve Futterman has this report.
The arrest took place on Sunday, two days before Trump scheduled appearance here at a Republican fundraiser. The LA County Sheriff's Department says the 38-year-old suspect appeared to be monitored
“during security preparations and was taking pictures.”
A loaded pistol was found in his car. A later search of the suspect's home uncovered additional weapons, including an AR-style rifle along with ammunition, body armor, and notebooks, which the Sheriff's Department says contained concerning statements. The suspect's being held on suspicion of carrying a concealed firearm and possession

Saudi Arabia's oil company, Aramco, said it earned a profit of $33.4 billion in adjusted
net income in April through June. That's up from $25.2 billion in the same quarter last year. It's one of Aramco's largest quarterly profits in almost four years. Many oil companies have benefited from the war with Iran as it has driven energy prices up.

on a $1 million bond.
He charged with first-degree arson, Aramco was previously imprisoned per killing his father.
Oregon Democratic Senator Ron Wyden calling on federal regulators to investigate big banks over their handling of Jeffrey Epstein's accounts. Wyden issued a report Tuesday alleging that Bank of America, Deutsche Bank, and J.P. Morgan Chase may have violated federal anti-moning laundering laws by failing to flag suspicious transactions in a timely manner.
New California law now requires companies to embed data into AI-generated digital content from member station, KaLW, Amanda Hernandez reports. Standard set in the California AI Transparency Act give users a history of when and how the content was created and how it may have changed using AI tools over time. Fedon Cox is the head of public policy and affairs at Insipher, which verifies AI content.
Think of it as has been issued for a tamper proof nutrition label for a digital content, cryptography sealed so it can't be fixed.
