The Senate confirmed President Trump's nominee for U.S. Attorney General Saturday morning as NPR's Claudia Gressala's reports.

Blanche was approved to the role by a one-boat margin, outgoing Louisiana Republican Senator Bill Cassidy who helped get Blanche over the finish line said he was aware the decision would draw controversy. Mr. Blanche is not perfect, and he will tell you this. But the choice is not between perfection and Mr. Blanche.
It is between Mr. Blanche and another acting attorney general who may not run the Department effectively under President Trump.
Blanche faced concerns over his role in a $1.8 billion fund created as part of a DOJ settlement
with Trump that was on track to benefit the president's allies. Blanche rescinded the fund in writing. But to Republicans, Susan Collins of Maine and Alaska Republican Lisa Murkowski, voted no over concerns of a Justice Department dominated by Trump's demands. Claudia de Salis and PR news.
Two helicopter pilots whose aircraft crashed while they were fighting a wildfire in Utah have died. The crash happened Friday morning.

A fast food-ammoving wildfire in western Canada's destroying structures there been a so far forced the evacuation of more than 20,000 people from their homes. Emergency Management Minister Kelly Green says a state of emergency may be declared, but in the meantime, she's urging residents near the fire to leave. We are facing an intense and harrowing situation in the summer-land area.
And it is so difficult to be evacuated and not know when you will be able to return. Not know what you'll be returning to, whether you're home and your community will still be there. More than 100 wildfires are burning across the region and almost half of them remain uncontrolled.
At growing number of states are considering stricter rules for social media influencers who are paid to promote political candidates as MPa's Windsor Johnston reports. The issue is taking on new urgency. As campaigns are courting popular online creators in the lead-up to elections this fall. Texas now requires online creators to disclose when they are paid to post political content
and lawmakers in New York are considering a similar rule. California already requires disclosure and the bill before the state legislature would allow fines of up to $5,000 per violation. The issue recently surfaced in Michigan where influencers on social media were reportedly offered money to promote democratic primary senate candidate Haley Stevens without clearly
disclosing the payments. Stevens campaign denied any involvement. The controversy highlights the growing role of paid influencers as campaigns try to reach voters ahead of the midterm elections. Windsor Johnston and PR News, Washington.

There have been no reports of casualties or damages to country's president said the drone exploded about 300 feet inside Bulgarian territory. considered. Even when kids are passionate about something, it can be hard for them to figure out what that dream job looks like and how to make it happen. And research shows that can be especially true for young people from marginalized backgrounds. There's expectations that black folks do this and black folks don't do that.
Keith Russell is a conservation scientist that Audubon and Philadelphia, who mentors aspiring black voters and scientists. And that's been a real barrier for black folks to get into burning.
