Judge William Sullivan has made it official with this courtroom announcement in the Lindsey
Clancy murder trial.
“"At this point, I'm going to declare that the jury is deadlocked, and I'm going to”
declare it in this trial." The judge made that announcement after the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court denied a defense appeal seeking to excuse the loan holdout juror after more than six days of jury deliberations without a verdict. Lindsey Clancy was on trial for killing her three children.
The defense argued she suffered from postpartum psychosis. The prosecution argued she knew what she was doing. "We are now in the final sprint to November and the midterm elections, and there's little question about the top issue for voters, affordability, and P.R.'s Tamara Keith has more from her Swing Shift project."

NPR has agreed not to use their full names, so they can speak freely. Tamara Keith and PR News A new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Funds, the rate of American teens receiving recommended routine vaccinations has remained below target levels for the past several years.
NPR's Marie Gadoi has the story. The CDC says about 90% of American teens have received at least one dose of T-Dap, a vaccine that protects against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis. That's the same rate that have gotten the meningococcal conjugate vaccine, which protects
“against four bacteria strains that can cause life-threatening infections.”
That vaccination rate hasn't changed since 2019. Meanwhile, just under 78% of teens had received at least one dose of the HPV vaccine, which protects against human pepulumovirus, a commonly sexually transmitted virus. Large studies have shown that vaccination against HPV and adolescents can prevent cervical, oral, penile, and other cancers caused by the virus.
Marie Gadoi and PR News The Labor Department reports the job market rebounded in August. Employers added a surprising 162,000 jobs for exceeding the 65,000 jobs for casters anticipated. The unemployment rate remained steady at 4.1%. The report could be good news for President Trump two months ahead of the midterm elections

Regal theaters is showing that movie and steel magnolia's through September 9th. They're in more than 200 theaters. Regal says all the proceeds will go to the foundation that runs Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. Other chains like AMC are also screening the movies.
Parton was 80 years old when she died in late August. Bill Chappell, NPR News. "Phaps Blue Ribbon is offering a reward for its missing beer. The CEO of Papp's Blueprint Brewing Company, Greg DeBoe, says the company will pay up to $20,000 for anyone who provides new information that leads to the recovery of more
than 1,600 stolen cases of Papp's Blue Ribbon and non-alcoholic old Milwaukee beer." The beer went missing on August 17th in southern California. Police in Montclair, California, said the beer was stolen from a warehouse during two separate incidents that happened on the very same day. DeBoe says that the company wants the beer returned by September 9th, but that will
