We have been designed to boost Republican candidates by highlighting Trump's first two years in office, he has said to deliver closing remarks after Vice President J.D. Vance gives his own speech tomorrow. Earlier in the evening Pennsylvania Democratic Senator John Fetterman spoke at the GOP convention, his appearance in a short video standing in front of a steel mill.
Fuelling fears that he may switch parties, but in a statement reported by multiple news organizations, Fetterman said he will remain a Democrat should the Senate flip in November. Rhode Island Democratic Governor Dan McKee is promising to ensure a smooth transition. One of the pilots of the Amazon Cargo plane that crashed while landing in Miami on Sunday warned that the plane was coming in too fast.

The other pilot never gave a "consistent verbal response to the warnings," according to
the National Transportation Safety Board, which released a summary of the cockpit voice recordings. Those recordings also captured a series of automated warnings from the plane that suggests the descent was not stabilized. The plane touched down awkwardly and then briefly tried to take off again before barreling

The yield on long-term government debt rose despite the Treasury Department's announcement
that it would buy back $6 billion worth of government bonds on Thursday.
That's three times through team level of buy-backs a move that was designed to reassure investors and keep the yield on ten-year treasuries in check. Investors were not persuaded and the yield continued to climb. The government's cost for borrowing money helps determine lots of other interest rates, some things like mortgages and auto loans, investors are also demanding higher interest

Authorities in the Philippines say five people are dead after a ferry con fire in the waters off the western Palomond Island. The Philippine Coast Guard says more than 40 people have been rescued but at least 87 remain unaccounted for, drinking very hot beverages regularly could raise the risk of developing a soft-ageal cancer.
And PR's Maria Gaddoy reports on a large new study of nearly a million people in the UK. The study followed tea and coffee drinkers over 14 years. The researchers found that people who regularly drink very hot beverages had three times the risk of a soft-ageal cancer compared to those who sit their drinks warm. The findings are in line with prior studies in Asia, South America and the Middle East.
The international agency for research on cancer classifies drinks hotter than 149 degrees Fahrenheit as probably carcinogenic to humans. Drinking very hot liquids can damage the cells lining the esophagus and repeated injuries can raise the risk of cancer over time. Experts say it's best to let hot drinks cool for a few minutes before taking a sip.
The findings appear in the International Journal of Cancer. Maria Gaddoy and Pianias. The NFL's Buffalo bills are planning to make a goodwill gesture amid the U.S. Canada trade feud to mark the season open or next week. The bills announced on social media that both the American and Canadian national anthems
