Whether you're up late or you're just starting your day. Welcome to the show from the Relief Factor Studios. This is Red Eye Radio. All across America, we are Red Eye Radio. He is Eric Hurley and I'm Gary McNamara. All right, we've had some fun with audio cuts today.
Now, this is an audio cut from a Democrat. That's fantastic. Yeah.
“And I think it's a well-thought-out answer from Senator John Fetterman,”
who was asked who is the leader of the Democratic Party right now. All right.
Okay. Now, we'll give you a second.
Who do you think Fetterman says? Just in your own mind, stop what you're doing and let's you're driving. Yeah, make a guess silently in your mind. Or shout it out. We can't hear you.
Yeah. Go ahead. Shout it out loud. Go ahead. Shout it out loud. Yeah.
All right. Here we go. All right. Confederateman believes is the head of the Democratic Party. You asked me earlier what's the leader of the Democratic Party right now. I would say it's TDS.
You played that for me during the break.
And I'm like, did he say TDS?
He did? By the way, great answer. It is. It's perfect answer. But hey, Republican Party.
Look at what he's doing. Do some of that.
“I think the beauty of Fetterman is the fact that he shows”
where Democrats were just a few years ago. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Because the beliefs of Fetterman has is where Democrats stood a few years ago. We know. We can we can get you as many audio cuts of the Democrats talking about.
Oh, yeah. Illegal immigration. Yeah.
Where where they make Steven Miller sound like he's a liberal.
Okay, maybe that's going a little bit too far. Maybe, maybe not. But I mean, we're talking Obama Clinton, both Clinton's Obama. Oh, that's all you have to say. You don't have to go any further than bad.
That's pretty bad. Obama and the Clinton's. Right. And any flag? Any racist charges of them?
No. Everybody, you know, everybody stood there. And so Fetterman is just what a Democrat used to be. A decade ago. Yeah.
And what has really changed them. I mean, look, the radical transgender movement was there before Trump started. Yeah. Okay. The Democrats started moving on illegal immigration, you know,
even even, you know, before Trump had a political career, which would have really started in 2015. They were starting to move. They didn't want to admit it fully, but you could see their sympathies were with the illegal immigrants in this country.
Yeah. But it wasn't until Trump came in and Trump became a viable political force where they just went bad soup crazy. Right. Absolutely bad soup crazy.
Yeah. Now, we know. And we said it before. Trump isn't the only one that they called Hitler. Right.
Right. They called Bush Hitler. Yep. And so. But they still.
And you and I really looked at. And what was the issue? It was 2006. You and I only been working together for a year.
“And I can't remember what the issues were at that time.”
Where you and I said, I remember being in the studios when we were in Arlington. And I remember looking at you and saying, Wow. The Democrats now are not pretending they're in the middle anymore.
They're starting to move, left and promoting the fact that they're moving left.
I believe that was the beginning of it.
Yeah.
“But they were still trying to play the game of.”
We're moderates. We're moderates. We're moderates. We're moderates. Right.
It's a tough sell for them now because they've gone so crazy to give you an example of it.
We we talk about James Talarico who's going to be running. He, he beat Jasmine Crocket. You see. It's been Crocket yesterday said Trump is the most pro. He's the illegal drug president ever.
Wow. That's it. Save. With Viso Steuer. Dave Shakespeare.
Gross. But we told them years ago if you're going to get a line, go big. I mean, you just have to make that one. He's a thin air. He's the biggest promoter of illegal drugs ever.
She said that yesterday the day before. Yeah. But James, but we don't care what she thinks anymore. She's done.
But we'll still play her once in a while.
But James Talarico running against her. And it was really big yesterday because it was like, wow. I was all over social media. You know, Talarico's running in Texas and he's and it came out what he said in 2022. I think it wasn't even like the audio.
We were saying, no, he's, you know, eating meat is bad. Climate change. It's going to be in all, you know, vegan.
“What was it campaign or whatever he was talking about?”
Yeah. It's going to be vegan this and vegan that. No meat. No meat. And then it came out.
Wait a minute. Okay. So he's this is Texas. Right.
He's anti meat, which means anti cattle.
Yeah. By the way, our official bird of Texas is barbecue. Yeah. So you know, he's anti meat. He's anti gun.
Yeah. He's pro illegal immigration. Just went through everything that in the state of Texas. You just can't be. In fact, most Democrats understand you can't be that way.
The official flower of Texas is a ribeye. 20 out. Don't make it as small. You plan it. You grow a cow.
That's right. The. I love the. So I love eating my veggies. So yesterday was, I think it was channel two out of Houston.
Hmm. Had the story that Taloreco for Texas put out the official statement from James Taloreco on vegan accusations. And it shows him in a Texas flag shirt eating a huge massive rib. But I guess the vegan thing didn't work out.
“That's what happens when you try and go vegan within about two days.”
You just, you just, you just, you have to go get some ribs. You're weak. This is a, about to pass out. This is a huge rib. That's eating.
I mean, yeah. This is, I'm trying to think, what was it? There's a, I don't know. He reminds me of something. I can't remember was a movie or not.
Or someone's like, just grabbed a huge piece of me. He looks like a caveman. The Fred Flintstone ribs. Yes. Yeah.
Yeah. It looks like that kind of thing. Right. Where he's eating it. And of course, social media went nuts.
Right. I mean, they just, everybody went crazy because it's like, there they go again. Somebody should accuse them of eating elephant ribs. [laughs]
Just were fun. Someone do it. I'm not going to do it. I'm not saying it's true. I'm also not saying it's not true.
I don't know. He might be or maybe not. [laughs] That's a pretty big rib. [laughs]
Yeah. I am Dumbo. We are Dumbo. [laughs] You know what I'm going with that?
Yeah. Yes.
Instead of the lion's Cecil.
Right. I am Dumbo. I am Dumbo. Yeah.
“You know, to protest Talarico eating meat.”
I am Dumbo. That's right. Well, it's--
Well, because it sounds--
Well, it sounds-- I don't know, self-deprecating if you shout. I am a cow. [laughs] It's probably--
Probably don't want to do that. Well, I am Dumbo would actually fit the Democratic leadership right now that's pretending that they're a bunch of idiots. No, no.
Bull circle. Here we are. Thank you, Gary. What a great segue. I don't know.
I don't know. It's right. I'm--I'm Gavin Newsom. I'm an idiot. I'm Bernie Sanders.
I'm an idiot. You're idiots. You vote for us. We have to pretend we're idiots, too. Because if we keep saying that women in minorities
are too stupid in order to get to do a-- a common task of finding out where their birth certificate is, we're being called racist and sexist. Well, we can't do that unless we say men should be able to show their generals to women in the locker room.
“That's the only way we can get away with that.”
But here we can't get away with it. And so we have to pretend that we're complete idiots to where the party of idiots leading idiots against the oppressors that are the smart Republicans. That's right.
Now you'll have an elephant representing both parties. Perfect. Let's just say one has bigger ears than the other. Yeah. Vegan.
It's going to be an all vegan. All right. And so in one day he switches. But he's-- the funny thing is that's what he switches on. Not-- oh yeah, the Bible endorses murder.
Right. Exactly. I'm going to stick with that one. You're not going to get me changed on that one. But no, I'm not a vegan anymore.
Hey, listen. I love this. Listen, chief. You're okay with continuing down the road of God approving abortions.
But it's Texas. You can't say you're a vegan. That's blasphemous. [LAUGHTER] Yeah.
And I'm only halfway kidding. Oh my gosh.
Now, when we talk about the first audio cut that we played
about Fetterman saying it. I mean, he's currently active in Congress. Yeah. It's really amazing.
“You know, we talk about-- I remember when Harold Ford,”
I've been in talk radio so long. I remember when Harold Ford was young. [LAUGHTER] I remember when he was in Tennessee. Yeah, I didn't have a gray hair.
Yeah. And now he's on the five. And that's what I see, Harold Ford. I'm like, God, I'm old. Yeah.
I don't perceive myself as being-- I didn't think about that with him. Yeah. I don't perceive myself as being old. But it was like, God, I remember when he was young.
Yeah. Well, how long ago was that? Oh, wait. How the hell old am I? No, no, I'm old.
It's almost-- when I hit 60 recently, I thought-- Ah, it's just-- I'm treating it like it's a technicality. You know what I mean?
[LAUGHTER] I'm not stupid enough to say, age is just a number. There's evidence that it's something else, too. But I'll say this, that I do treat it like a technicality. No, no, no, no.
I'm not old. They're old. Everybody else is old. Hey, did you see an old man? That's the one thing I can't ask.
Did you see an old man come in here? [LAUGHTER] In fact, I just did. [LAUGHTER] Yeah.
Yeah. But Harold Ford was on the five. And here's what he said. Which is really the same thing the federalman said. In a different way.
Here we go. All right. Here we go. I don't like all of the Trump Trump's terrible terrible terrible. Though Hawks and my party who like the war, like who are not opposed to war, but just
don't like him because of him, put those guys to the side. But they're legitimate questions. And I think-- There you go. Same thing from Trump.
There you have it. There you have it. And that's really when you think about it. That has never left.
They've never learned from that.
Right. Yeah. Right. And so they take insane positions. But the problem still for Republicans and the midterms.
What's his name? Mark Mitchell saying it again yesterday. Yeah. Yeah. No, I mean, it's prices, prices.
Everybody's concerned about prices. You've seen stories. The Republicans are not worried. And the Republicans are doing nothing. Right.
Except not focusing on prices, which seems to be the campaign strategy now.
Just don't talk about it.
Right. Yeah. Yeah.
I mean, you look at the polling out there.
Even Republican polling. I'll have the story coming up in a little bit. I'll have it in front of you right here, but won't get it. But yeah. It's--
Yeah. And--
“Because you can't do anything about it, you have to ignore it.”
I'm sorry. It wasn't Mark Mitchell. Scott Rasmussen. Oh, OK. Yeah.
So now you got Mark Mitchell. All right. Polster Scott Rasmussen warned Wednesday that if economic confidence remains at its current levels, the Republican party may be on track for a shillacking in November's midterm elections. Rasmussen widely considered Republican leanings,
that during a new service morning briefing that the GOP would lose control of both houses of Congress and voters pessimism about their personal finances does not approve.
“Adding that the window is rapidly closing for mitigation.”
He also emphasized that much of this low economic confidence is due to how President Trump's unpopular war in Iran is causing fuel prices to skyrocket. Yeah. You know, it's-- again, if it is believed that you can't do anything about it, then you just move on from it. But with the-- with the Fed not moving on interest rates, which was expected. But I also say the other poll numbers out there show that so many independence, even though they are furious about prices, they don't see Democrats as the solution.
That's the wild card out there.
So I understand the warnings because Rasmussen and Mitchell both pollsters, Republican pollsters, are saying what we've always said,
you've got to always believe your 20 points behind. Yeah. Yep. I mean, and I would say for the GOP, especially the House, campaign like your 60 points behind right now. You know, we are right I radio.

Brokers on the spot market or directly from the source, the shipper. As any trucker with relatively recent experience with spot freight knows, the highs of work in the load boards can be really high. On the other side of that coin, however, when the market flips and favor of shippers, it could be tough to keep your business afloat working with brokers.
The smallest carriers with direct customers, however, can hang on through tough times. Or even prosper. As long as demand for their customers' product remains at least somewhat stable. Really interesting audio cut from Tom Holman on the confirmation hearing of Mark Wayne Mullin as head of Homeland Security. Really interesting message.
“And I thought it just super interesting because Holman and you and I think I've talked about this on the year and off year.”
He doesn't make many mistakes and communicating.
If he says something to me it's what the administration wants because he never has to backtrack on anything.
That he says and I think this is I found this really interesting one he had to said so was said thanks. Excuse me. So we'll get to that in just a little bit interesting here. I just wanted to read this. This is not really the entire thing, but just a headline editorial board Wall Street Journal.
A glimmer of hope and Illinois, a glimmer, a glimmer. The voter support school choice and the unions endorsements lose education news out of Illinois tends to be grim, but a glimmer of outcomes from Tuesday's primary elections as voters showed their support for school choice. And the Chicago teachers union had a bad night voters and more than 30 counties or townships out of the 102 counties in the state. The non-binding ballot question asking if the state should opt into the new federal tax credit scholarship program.
Some 64% of voters said yes and the referendum passed in all jurisdictions th...
That's the thing that in Kentucky, Bashir who considers himself a moderate.
Yeah, right. He brought that up the other day. We said he's no moderate school choice. The Democrats, we don't talk about we do, but I don't think Republicans talk about it enough. How popular school choice is even among liberals.
“I think even more so after the whole thing with COVID.”
I think that's a great point. I think parents learning about what their kids were going through every day in classrooms when they were learning doing the in-home learning. I think that changed a lot of minds on the left. Just a theory. You're listening to Red Eye Radio from the Ray Leaf Factory Studios.
We are Red Eye Radio. He's our currently and I'm Gary McNamara. Welcome and good morning. I saw this yesterday. This was Tom Holman talking with Fox News on Mullins, DHS confirmation hearing. Listen to the message. I believe it's been sent out here.
One of the questions for him was how will you be different from Christy Noom?
What would your answer be to that knowing both of them? I don't think I can't put down what the difference is. I can tell you that he's focused on the mission. He has spoken to leadership within the DHS already. He's heard their ideas. He's got to speak to a few more.
But he's hearing what they think the issues are. How can we fix it? He's counting on the experts who've done this job for decades to advise them on the next steps to take. And that's big. He knows he's coming. He don't know the immigration game very well.
But he's counting on people with 34 years experience the garden moist. I want to point that else at different. I just point that out that that is the way it should be. All right. He's putting out the message.
I'm still in charge of immigration. Yeah. And the thing is, Home and doesn't miss speak. That's why since he has taken over.
And Noom is gone. You don't hear anything from Democrats.
You think about how amazing that is.
That why aren't Democrats attacking him? I don't know where you go. He doesn't leave any room really. Well, it doesn't matter that doesn't stop them before. Well, I mean, they still call him. They still call him or Hitler or whatever.
They're arguments. Leader of the third Reich. Yeah. They're they're making these horrible arguments. But they're not even attempting to demonize home.
“I believe he's that tough of a target to demonize because he doesn't make mistakes.”
Well, that's that's my point. He doesn't leave any room. Yeah. You know, there aren't any gaps. And but I think that's worse than this step that you would jump in
where you would jump in. I think when he said that, he's putting off the message. I'm still in control. Home and yeah, home and it's the boss, but I'm in control of immigration. Because he really said he doesn't know immigration very well.
I do. Yeah. Now. Immigration's not rocket science. No.
It's not calculus. Right.
“You know, and so I believe that that message was set up for a very, very specific reason.”
Yeah, I think so. I think again, you're, you're kind of putting the order of things into play. And like you said, he doesn't miss speak. So I think you just heard what the order of things is going to be. Yep.
And we have to repeat this audio cut. Because this is absolutely the audio cut of the day. Yeah, and some are just worth repeating just so people don't miss it. Hmm. We started out the show with this today.
As we started out the show saying, wow. This was a crazy Democrat day with the things that they were saying. It's like, do they hear themselves? Is there any self-awareness and all? Hmm.
But this was our, I would say that this is our favorite one out of New York. Would you not agree? Oh, by far, by far. Yeah. Yeah. Governor Kathy Hulkel. Talking about the rich and taxes and making a plea for wealthy people who have left New York
To come back and pay high taxes and to encourage people of New York who have ...
to convince them to come back because it's their patriotic New York duty.
That's right. She's using New York patriotism. That's right. You cannot make this stuff up. There we go.
And being conscious of the facts that I need people who are high net worth to support the generous social programs that we want to have in our state. Right. Now, there are some patriotic millionaires who stepped up. Okay, caught me the checks.
“I mean, if you want to be supportive, but maybe the first steps should be go down to Palm Beach”
and see we can bring back home because our tax base has been eroded. So I feel softly going to a problem. It is like, I have to look at the fact that we are in competition with other states who have less of a tax burden on their corporations and their individuals. And I would say remote work changed everything.
There are people who can only work in an office in Manhattan and work in New York state. And they were captives to our state. They were going to stay. Captives. They were captives. They were captives.
They were incentivized to stay. Well, my favorite is we've had some of the rich people who have stepped up. Yeah. Now they have to cash a check. Right. They're saying the right things, but they have to right the check.
They haven't written a check yet to voluntarily pay taxes in order to keep New York and New York City going. All right. Let's do this. My God. Let's do this, except let's do it in the sort of toning soprano voice.
Listen. It's a very complicated situation. Some of these guys got away. We out from captive and you know, some are loyal. But they got to show their loyalty by writing us a check.
We got to get the rest of them back. It's something out of a mob movie. We had them captive. You know, we had them captive for a while. It's just bizarre.
Who thinks that way? Oh, the left.
“That's how they, that's how they think of it.”
You can't go anywhere. You've got to do business here. You've got to do business here. And to use the word captive that we have to keep these people captive. We just believe is just so indicative of the liberal mindset today.
When you look at California with their proposal to have the billionaires tax, but if they pass it in November, that goes back a year. Right. Yeah.
I mean, it's just. And they, and they know, so they're admitting now.
I think the most important part of it is, you know, besides the
insanity of what she's saying that's not going to happen. Because this is the problem. I've, I've probably spent more time with my friends talking about economics. Because people still say to me, they, but people should, but people should, but people should, and that's what she's doing there.
And it doesn't matter what you think people should do. Right.
“It's, you run an economic system based on what people will do.”
That's, that's what I come from. And you run a tax system. You run a government based on not. Or delusional wishes, but what reality dictates with economics. Right.
And economics teaches you as we have said before. I even had some friends hit me on at the other day. Come on. Go, no, economics is very simple. All economics is based on one thing.
Incentive. How people react to incentive. That's it. Yep. You know, Adam Smith said it.
Milton Friedman said it. One guy, when, when we were, it's said it for the longest time. For the, the economist from Rochester. It just can't think of his name, Rochester, New York. Ah, New York.
Hmm. He said economics is how people respond to incentive. That's it. Anything else is just opinion. Right.
Doesn't matter.
The reality is, it's how people respond to incentive.
You take money away from them. They're going to react in a certain way. And it's not going to be positive. Right. And people just believe in politicians.
And that's what she's doing there. To the point of, she's taken into the point of. I'm from New York. Born and raised in New York. There is no New York.
Patriotism.
There may be, I love New York.
“If you grew up, you mentioned, for example.”
I grew up in Queens. I have loyalty to Queens. I grew up in Buffalo. All right. We love the Buffalo bills.
I mean, that's part of, we love. It's not as a state. And yes, in New York City, they love the Yankees. It love the mats. Right.
You have that sense of community. That sense of community pride. There is no New York pride. Right. I'm from New York.
Right. Yeah. People say to me all the time. You're from New York. Now I'm from Buffalo.
Action from the town of Tanawanda. Yeah. Which is the town of Tanawanda. Is the Indian Irrecoin name for Swift water? Okay.
By the Niagara River. Yeah. Probably seven miles above Niagara Falls. Seven eight miles above so. Right.
But yeah. I mean, you have pride in the place that you grow up.
But there is no such thing to sit there and say that basically.
Patriotism of New York should bring you back. Is one of the most bizarre things I've ever heard of politicians say. But you and I agreed because I said, gosh, you're so childlike. And then I realized I was wrong in that statement. I wasn't sexist.
I was just wrong in my analysis. She sounds like a kindergarten teacher talking to children. She's she's doing the Elizabeth Warren appeal. If we could only get them back. We must get them back to our state somehow.
We had them captive. You can say it's like children. We could just lock the door and keep them inside.
“I mean, if you come back to New York, remember, nap time is 1115 to 1145.”
I have snacks for you. We'll have snacks for you. Now, sometimes when they get out of office, they make sense. Even in New York. Former New York City mayor built a block.
He finally admitted that liberals calls to defund the police and lacks border policies were wrong for America. Sounds like another bill. I signed it, but I wish I hadn't. He said in restaurant respect, the whole concept of defund the police made no sense.
Yeah.
He said he was on with, I guess, Sean Hannity's podcast.
He said to Blossom as the Democrat sat with the Margarita. Can we please stop? Why do we stop? Why do we stop? We have to do the drink where everybody else can see it.
Do like we do on the radio drink behind the scene. Right. We're going to be a popular conservative podcast. We got a cigar, some drink and hard liquor. We need, we need liquor.
Look, had I known that when I was 18. I started this whole thing. I would have gone straight there. I mean, I don't drink, but I would have gone straight there. Just get your guess nice and drunk.
They'll say anything. You know, I might do it. If you weren't, I might do it and do double. Since you're not doing it. Yeah.
I wouldn't because I really don't want to pay for the Uber home. I'm very cheap. Yeah. That would be a long Uber.
“But Blossom said, it made sense to say, how can we do better?”
It made sense to say, hey, and by the way, a lot of cops told me this. A lot of police leaders told me this. We've got to do a lot more for young people to give them positive alternatives. Because that's good for police too. That's good safety.
But to say, to fund the police was the wrong way to go. Well, what do you think they're doing right now? Who was it? Well, I played the representative from Massachusetts earlier, who said, well, no, I don't care.
Because Trump said, look, we'll do these things here. Here's our compromise. Because no, it's not good enough. We need to to fund ice. I don't want ice to exist.
Right. That's what they want. They want to fund ice to fund the border patrol. It's all the same things to fund the police. Right.
They want law enforcement, law enforcement. They want chaos. A abolish law enforcement. That's what they want. Yeah.
Yeah. They've gone much further than even what DeBlasio was part of. He blatantly admitted that Biden's border-black's border policy. It wasn't a black's border policy. Yeah.
It wasn't. No. It was intentional. It wasn't okay. We're just not going to do anything.
Because it was like, no, we're going to open the border for them. Right. He goes, we Democrats are going to have to find some common ground. Are you ready? No.
They don't want to find common ground. No. No. They don't. So while recognizing that the Democrats were wrong, he's delusional to believe
that they want that there's some common ground that can be found on it. Yeah. They don't want right now. This Democratic Party. They don't want it.
And for the podcast, there's listen. If you're going to do this, do this. Forget Margaritas. Do straight to key little shots. Now here's the thing.
Do several a piece and then start the podcast. We're, I don't, that's still get the point. We're the talking fast podcast. Give me another line. Yeah.
Exactly. But it's sitting here. We're just sitting here smoking meth. Hey, is that the cops? [laughter]
A first guess.
What's the set of a former president? I'll give you two guesses.
The first name is Hunter.
Last name is Biden.
“If you guessed Hunter, Biden, you were correct.”
I don't believe you're talking fast enough. I don't think I am. We're Red Eye Radio. Coming up more with Gary McNamara. And Eric Carley.
It's Red Eye Radio. We are Red Eye Radio.
He's our Coney and I'm Gary McNamara.
One thing I did think yesterday when I saw the stock market dipping, a little bit of said, has it due to the Fed or what's going on in Iran and attacking different energy fields in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and also in Iran. Yeah. And I went, okay, what's, what's caused is, or a combination of both.
Because Fed decided not to move interest rates at all. Yeah. I think, you know, oil hit spikes. I think there was that.
“I don't, I think the Fed move or non move was already priced in.”
I don't know that there was much confidence.
But there's always that moment, right?
When it's like, ah, we don't really expect them to do much. But then when he announces it and it's for sure, then the market may have had a little bit more to give. But I think most of it is Iran. You saw him say he's going to stay in past his time.
Yeah. On the board. Yeah. He's going to, he's probably going to stay there. And he's going to stay as ahead of, ahead of the Fed until.
Yeah. Right. He's replaced. Right. Exactly.
