“Yeah, that's how I like life loud and blaring.”

Wow. Yeah. Well, I love a very quiet calm life. So this was jarring. Yeah.

Yeah, that was rough. Oh, no. I was saying it was high energy. Oh, yeah. By which I need great.

It's the first Monday of Spring Forward. Which is one week. I'm losing an hour of sleep. So brutal this morning. Yeah.

Your text at six thirty. I was like nausea. Well, I was nauseous for multiple reasons. It increased my nausea that I was already feeling.

I think the problem is because I can't go to better.

I can't go to better early on daylight savings for some reason. It's harder for me to fall asleep obviously because it's an hour earlier. And so then I end up staying up later than I'm used to. So then my alarm in the morning is just like tough tough. Yeah.

So we're struggling. Yeah. But we're here. We're here. Monday.

Yeah. But we're back in the studio. All of us together. It's been a minute. Has been a minute.

Lots great. Yeah. Thomas. Mark was in there. We before.

We were in there. We were here. We were here. Easter wasn't here. Oh, yeah.

Were we in the middle of the studio at some of the week before? Yeah. We're nothing. If not nimble. We roll with those punches.

Yeah. Yeah. nimble. We are quick. Yeah.

It's like a cheetah. Yeah. Exactly. But that's where every want us. Yes.

“Well, that's what you get when you've been podcasting for almost 10 years.”

I know. It'll be nine years this September. I was thinking about that the other day. Because someone was like, are you still doing that podcast? I was like, yeah.

But yeah. And he goes, what do you guys talk about? I was like, I don't know tune in tune in my don't you? Give us the download. I don't.

It is funny when I sat next. We flew back from the Bahamas and I sat next to this lovely gentleman who we were quiet the whole flight. You know, it was a 30 minute flight from the Bahamas to Fort Lauderdale. But at the end when we landed he was in the window seat.

So he was like, oh, he was showing me something that we were flying over.

Oh, the hard rock cafe.

The big car building. Uh-huh.

And so he's like, oh, have you ever seen this?

And I was like, oh, no, it's cool. So he was really nice. And he was, you know, chipped chatting with me. Tonya is in front of me. So I'm in the middle seat.

I have this guy next to me and then Tonya Haley on my other side. And I can see Tonya in front of me through the crack of the chairs. Also in her window seat. Filming me. And I don't know that.

I'm just laughing that she got set next to a Tonya. So like, I have to capture this. But the man doesn't know that lore. So I'm like, I'm praying to God that he can't see her filming us. And so I'm like chipped chatting, trying to pay attention to him,

knowing that Tonya's like, not her iPhone on me. And I was going to move that. I think you got there. I don't know. I thought I had a point to make.

I just enjoyed having conversation with the stranger on a airplane. Oh, the guy sure is fine. I mean, after because we had landed. I'm trying to talk once I've landed. Because I'm already.

I'm not.

That's a good rule of thumb time, you're by the way.

Once you land. Yeah, it's fine. It's fine to start a conversation. But what my point was that he asked.

“He was like, oh, what were you in the bulb this morning?”

I get it. I'm trying to explain. We were there doing a podcast. This new podcast studio about how more. And he goes, oh, what's your podcast about?

And what's your podcast called? And I go, well, it's called scrubbing in. And he goes, oh, it's like a medical podcast. Well, um, we were like obsessed with grades anatomy. And it kind of started there.

And it's just, it's been almost nine years. So it's, you know, we call the name. Yeah. And he goes, oh, well, what do you all talk about? And I was like, oh, also a tough question.

Just our lives. Me and this girl who's filming us. She's like great. Great. Great way to slide it in there.

Yeah. It is, it's funny. It is. It goes deep with with the lore of scrubbing in because unless you've been here from the beginning. Yeah.

How do you describe it to somebody? You can. But I love that like we're still doing it. We do. We're still doing it.

I like that. Yeah. We are. I think it's nice. It is comforting.

It brings me comfort. And I hope it brings you all comfort who are listening to me. I will just because Becca was talking about the flight back. I got set next to a lady who decided to take her shoes off. And the foot.

Excellent. It is. Proceeded to. And like, maybe this is my karma because I like smelly food all the time. But she put.

She have like, you know how like they have those body oils. And they're in like the small brown containers. Yeah. Like the central oils. Yeah.

And she went into them for a while, so I was familiar with the bottle.

But she smelled of this like the essential oil that they ask you like if you want

to get a massage like the one that you do not want on you, you know.

“Like that's what she was slathering all over her.”

It was like, I saw her pull it out of her backpack and like slathered on her wrist. And then she went to go put it on her feet. And I was like, okay. The bare feet next to me was. She had her bare feet on the whole time.

Dogs out. The plane might be one of the craziest, so serious. What do you like a faux pal? I don't know. Whatever you call that.

Just like a disrespect. The lack of respect. I couldn't get over it. And I don't know. I don't know if she had tennis shoes on that she slid off or if she was wearing sandals.

I can't see because the shoes were under her backpack. Oh. She could have been in like a TV or something. But still, you should open anything just for the sake of cleanliness. Keep them on.

Keep the germs away. I agree. Do you think she saw you before she sat down and said I need to get my oils out and lather up? Yeah. My black licorice oils are being here somewhere.

So it was quite the journey. Yeah. So where are you guys on removing shoes on a flight? Now, barefoot I think we all can agree is reprehensible. Yeah.

But what about just slipping off your shoes? You're there in your socks. Is that acceptable on a plane? It's pretty gross. So if it's a long overnight flight, I'm taking my shoes off.

Sure. Yeah. Long overnight flight. Yeah. It's a longer flight than three hours.

I go shoes off. Otherwise my shoes are staying alone. Why do I need to take them off? I hate to say five hours is appropriate. Take your shoes off.

Yeah. That's the main thing. Yeah. Not three. Huh?

More than three hours. You're saying a three hour minimum for shoes off. Tiny is saying a five hour minimum for shoes off.

“So you're saying, well, did you not take your shoes off on the way to Florida?”

That was less than five hours. That was five hours. That's right. Just right. Okay.

Yeah. And you kept your shoes on. It took one cross country. And you kept your shoes on. No, I did not.

Oh, well, I'm confused.

I feel like I'm lost in the sauce.

Let's have it.

Let's cut the even at four hours.

“So you need to keep them on if it's four hours alone.”

No, but it was a overnight flight. Aha. But that's still the same amount of time. Whether you're up or not. If you want to be comfortable for that amount of time.

Mark, where do you sit on it? I will flip my shoes off, but I leave my socked, my socked feet on my shoes. You know what I'm saying? Oh, your feet don't leave the like sock. General realm of the shoe.

Correct. They're right. They're with the shoes. So it's not obvious to anyone that I have done this. Oh.

You know, they're all like that. I'm not putting your shoes up in the overhead compartment. Right. Put my sock up on the, I don't know, armrest and front of me. I know like that.

You're not even going to notice. But if I go to the bathroom, those shoes are right back on the bathroom. Yeah. I'd be walking to the bathroom and socks or bare feet, barf.

If you are, if you, first of all,

if your dogs are out on the plane, barefoot, jail time. Yeah. If you're going to the restroom, dogs out. Oh, wild. Literal prison for life.

Yeah. So if you're dabbling with socks on in the bathroom. Sometimes I look at the bathroom floor and I'm like, did someone just, Yeah. Like, did a man just like throw his way in front of me.

There's nothing but spray. I have to just tell myself that it's just like water from the hand washing. I have to tell myself that because I can't go down the dark path. It's upsetting. It is upsetting.

Medicaid is very fascinating. It is universal. It's not universal. It's not universal. Not one size fits all.

No, it's not. No. I'll be honest, like, when we, when we went to Japan in December,

it's so fascinating how everything is so clean and tidy.

And there's no trash anywhere. And I'm like, what is it that Americans and their brains can't keep things nice and clean? What is that? Yeah. It's tough.

Like, have respect for your things.

“You should be able to go to a public restroom and not feel like you are going to contract a disease.”

Yeah. I started flushing with my shoes. I used the flush with my hands. Not anymore. That I'm kind of split on, though.

I am torn on that. Because then that just guarantees that the handle is going to be filthy. Yeah. Right. You're ruining it for future people.

Well, people have ruined it for me. The last time I touched one, it was wet. And that is when I said game over. I am not putting this in anymore. Their foot up and had stepped on pee.

And then they washed it with their foot. If you sprinkle while you tinkle, be a sweetie and wipe the city. Oh, that's lovely. It's a great rhyme. I know.

But nobody seems to do that. No. I'm going to say it is. So now you get the shoe. I just really encourage everyone to be thoughtful,

but maybe someone's going to come in after you. Hmm. Keep your socks on. I did on the flight to the Bahamas.

“I wore crocs on the plane for, I think the first time.”

I typically wear regular shoes. And they say on. These crocs I wore had bare feet printed on top of them. Like it was, there was a, I think you guys saw it. Oh, yeah.

So some people thought I had my dogs. When I was walking onto the plane, which made me laugh. Wow. But I slipped them off for a little bit in the middle of the flight. And I felt like I was living so dangerously.

I do not have bare feet. I was wearing socks in the crocs. Oh, okay. It boxed across the crocs. It's a crocs.

It's a crocs. I slipped them off for like 30 seconds. Stretch my feet. Put the crocs back on. I thought we were doing it.

Well, I'm glad we got the out of the way. I didn't know where everyone stands. Yeah. But we're all in the same page. Mostly.

There was other earth chattering news this weekend. What? I'm going to get, get to make it back. It's kind of fun. Okay.

So I don't know if you guys heard, but a little guy by the name Harry Styles. I'm really an album. Is anybody as excited as you are, but we're excited. So it's called Kiss All the Time Disco Occasionally.

And I have to say that this might be my favorite work of art from Harry Styles himself. Wow. And it's a lot of words. It's a big words to say. It is. It is. But I really mean it.

What can you tell us your highlights of the album? Yes. So it's very funny because I was seeing a lot of scuddle on the internet this weekend about like some of the lyrics and how like he's saying not a lot in this album. Some of the songs do have some crazy ridiculous lyrics

that don't seem to mean anything, which I can give them credit for. But then there's some deep meaning in some of these songs. So it's like it's a mixed back. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Which he's allowed to do. Well, we're some of the outrageous lyrics that don't have meaning.

That I'd have to do a little digging on my phone.

“Okay. But I think it was in the waiting game or are you listening yet?”

But my favorite favorite favorite song on the album is American girls. I like that one too. That was what you predicted you would love this. Yes. I did. And I didn't know. Like I knew nothing about the album.

And I thought we were number one and it is my number one. Uh-huh. My number two is taste back. Oh, I like to taste back too. Yes. My number three is ready. Ready, set, go. And that's my top set, my top three.

And then honorable mention goes to Carlos song. Hmm.

We always love when there's a name in the song.

Yeah. Um, I... Listened up until coming up roses. And I haven't finished it. No.

No. No. I honestly don't know. No. I had it. I kind of had it. I had a weirdly busy weekend.

And I forgot it. But here's the thing. The first up until that point. I realize all I want to do is garden and go floating

I did not garden. I did not take any animals. I listened to it totally sober and enjoyed it thoroughly. I know, but it makes me want. I'm saying it makes me want to do that.

It's an album that to be enjoyed sober or under the influence. Totally. And I want to do it under the influence. So you're waiting until you're going to do that? No, no, no.

I was saying when I was listening to it this morning. I was like, oh, I just want to get a high and listen to this and floating the pool. Um, but I, I loved Harry's house so much. That did too.

That I'm so fascinating that you say it's your favorite of all. Because Harry's house is one of my favorite albums. Just like, period of any artist. I know. Wow.

I know. It was big words. Yeah. But I mean them. Like I genuinely mean them.

I believe you. Yeah. And I actually, it was like a big thing because, you know, Robbie feels my Harry Styles. jealous.

A little bit jealous.

And the only jealousy Robbie has ever shown.

Literally. And we were doing a lot of stuff around the house this weekend.

“And so I kept asking him like, hey, can we listen to Harry's album?”

Can we listen to Harry's album? And we listen to five times. So he loves it too. He loves it too. Wow.

Wow. Yeah. He loves it too. Wow. I tried to get into watch the Netflix special.

Mm-hmm. That didn't go over so well. So I'll be watching that on my own later today. But. You know what?

He, I mean, no. Wow. Yeah. It runs deep. It runs deep.

Yeah. He knows the lore. Yeah, of course. Yeah. Well, you'll do.

Yeah. Yeah. Well, he knows could have been written about me.

But I mean, you just call the spades.

“Or were we just still like holding the scissors together?”

I wasn't there for that. But I enjoyed that. I didn't. That was very funny. I still.

Haley's like, does she, does she get it? And I'm like, I don't know. So I understand now what scissors scissors are. However, I still feel as though if we were to have the ropes together, we would have been scissors scissors. Maybe it doesn't mean every scissors or sister has scissors.

Yeah. No. You can just be holding scissors. Yeah. It just didn't happen a lot, though.

Like, it didn't even happen for us. Yeah. I know. The scissors, those were a one man scissors. I'm telling you, it was pretty far away.

Actually, for all of us. Yeah. As far as you could be from the scissors. I know. I was so sad.

I was at that one person. I wanted a scissors sister. And like, I got kicked in the curb. You could have been a scissors or brother and sister. Yeah.

Just done it with you. Yeah. But, okay. Well, I was just checking in to make sure. Thank you for clearing that up.

Thanks for the heads up in the moment. Like, we'll leave a sister struggling. Yeah. That's like the high five.
