Hello, my friend, and welcome to another short episode of something for every...
My name is Aaron Mashbitz.
Stop telling yourself you're too busy. You aren't actually short on time.
βYou are simply prioritizing your distractions over your ambitions.β
We all have the same 168 hours in a week, the difference between those who build and those
who just wish isn't a lack of opportunity, it's a lack of ruthless prioritization. When you say I don't have time, what you're really saying is this isn't a priority. Hard truth is, your calendar is the most honest reflection of your values.
If your goal is to build a business, be your screen time report shows three hours of mindless
scrolling, you don't have a time problem, you have a discipline problem.
βIf you want to stop the cycle of busyness and start making progress, here's what you needβ
to do. Audit, the cheap dopamine, identify the low effort, low reward activities, scrolling, excessively, you know, TV, excessively over researching all these types of things that are eating your prime hours. Next, schedule your non-negotiables.
If it isn't on the calendar, it doesn't exist. Put your deep work in the same category as your doctor's appointment or anything that is important. Lastly, say no more often. Every time you say yes to a social obligation, you don't care about your saying no to your
future self, so stop managing your time and start managing your focus. The perfect time to start is a myth.
βYou have to make the time by cutting out the noise.β
And thank you very much for tuning into another short episode of something for everybody and if you feel so inclined and want to support the podcast, the absolute best way to do that is by joining our exclusive community over on Patreon. Thank you.
